They went above and beyond what I had asked them to do and are very trustworthy. As always they diagnosed the problem and fixed it quickly and it was very affordable. They also followed up to inform me of a warranty I now have with the work they had done. For years I have taken my vehicles to them and will continue to do so.

I recently had the control arms changed on my vehicle at Westside Car Care, and I must say, the quality of their work is exceptional. Not only did they ensure the job was done right, but the level of customer service I received was commendable. They demonstrated immense patience and understanding towards my concerns, making the entire process smoother for me. I'm truly grateful for their professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of car care services.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. Absolutely dishonest service. They added 5 qtz of oil and also said my turbo needs to be replaced since it's leaking. Thankfully I did an oil change because I knew it was due but to my surprise, it was overflown by 5 quartz. I cleaned up where it might've been leaking by the turbo and came to the conclusion they poured some on it to make it seem like it was leaking. I have been driving it for days now and not a single leak. Stay far away from these people. EDIT UPDATE: I have the quote sheet stating turbo leak and engine oil lid. I have never posted a good or bad review ever. People can see the age of my account it's about 10+ years old. I don't know if you can see the total amount of reviews I have done but this is my only one ever. Your business is abysmal. That may be not your fault but whoever was the employee that did the pre-buy inspection. Don't know if you pay them based on how much gets quoted and fixed or a straight hourly rate. If I were to guess it would be the first option. If in fact, this was an oversight and you were not made aware that your employee are cheating customers I do understand. Though I hope something is done to remedy the situation to improve your business.

My Service Engine Soon light came on and my regular place was booked 2 weeks out. A friend recommended West Side and I am so grateful she did. Maria in the office is very friendly and called me with updates as they found a couple problems. The service I recently used for my Jeep Patriot's catalytic converter replacement was outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. They explained the process to me in detail and answered all of my questions, which made me feel comfortable and confident in their abilities.The service was completed in a timely manner and I was informed of the progress throughout the entire process. When the work was completed, the staff took the time to review the work that was done and made sure that I was satisfied with the results.In addition to the great service, the price for the catalytic converter replacement was fair and competitive with other local auto care services. I appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary services or products.Overall, I would highly recommend this Westside Car Care for anyone in need of any type of auto repair. They exceeded my expectations and provided excellent service from start to finish.

-UPDATED-Be careful with this place. Liable to say big concerning problems are minor issues that do not need to be immediately addressed (after inspection!) and you could be stuck having to replace your entire engine all because a minor leak on a seal turns into a major leak that drains all your oil (within 3 days) of getting it changed.I trusted this place and recommended to so many people I know the professionals @ westside car care now I caution car owners that I do not know if I can confidently trust their opinion or my vehicle in there service. Something minor that would have cost $1,200 (Could of been fixed and paid for right then but was not to be worried about) ended up costing me $3,800!!!Waiting to see if the motor I had to pay full price for will "have any unforeseeable issues" over the next few days.-Old Review-I had a check engine light come on and decided to take it to the professionals at westside care car and love the decision to do so. The people working there were amazing at their job and informative.within 2 hours I had my vehicle diagnosis done, the problem fixed and with recommendations, I will gladly reference others to this business and well as go back for future car troublesService: Auto engine diagnostic

Haven t acutely got the truck to see how the service was. Was called twenty minutes to 5pm telling me the truck was done. I called an Uber and made it to the shop ten minutes after 5 and they were closed. So I wasted $50 on Uber s. and will be without a truck for the weekend as they are closed. The gal who called me should have warned me that they would be closing in twenty minutes.

Horrible experience. Will never take my car back to this place. Was charged $700 for a cylinder misfire. The next day my engine wouldn't start. Took it back and was requoted as a timing belt being ripped. As it turns out it was the serpentine belt. I took a car with a misfire and now will need to change out the engine. These guys just ripped me off about $1700 my just creating themselves work and breaking my car! What's worse they claim no accountability for their craftsmanship And just took my money! I hope this place goes bankrupt!

TL;DR - They did not fix my issue but acted honorably in the end.Background: The harmonic balancer on my 5.9L Dakota disintegrated. The Dodge 5.9 has a different balancer to the otherwise-similar 5.2 engine, and also different to the pre-1993 version, which was called a 360. Also, original factory 5.9 balancers were bolted together with the crank pulley, but the current aftermarket ones are a 1-piece assembly. 5.2 balancers are still the old style. Now the story.Westside gave me by far the soonest time estimate of any shop I called, so I chose them. They finished the truck WELL before their time estimate. When I started the truck, I immediately noticed a severe engine shake, just like had started when the old balancer came apart. I suspected they put a 5.2 balancer on, and upon asking, they said they had indeed. They said that they ordered the 5.9 part and that it looked different to my stock part and did not physically fit my engine, but the 5.2 part fit easily. I'm not going to go into the mechanical story they came up with to explain this, but suffice to say it was ridiculous to the point of comedy. I asked to have them try the 5.9 part again, but after seeing one from the Dodge dealer, which looked similar to the one that hadn't fit, they declined to waste more time on it. My speculation is that they were originally given the old-style 360 part, and that the part from Dodge would have worked. That would explain the diameter mismatch they described, but I can't confirm this.I asked Westside to give me a partial discount since I was having to undo and repeat their work, but they stood by their decision with the 5.2 balancer. However, they did say we could talk if I managed to get the 5.9 part installed and the engine smooth. Not trusting any shops at this point, I waited ~6 weeks for my friend to return from his duty as an Army diesel mechanic. I understand concepts, but my hands don't understand tools.Last weekend, my friend finally arrived and very easily installed the 5.9 balancer, which I bought over the counter at O'Reilly's. It fit perfectly. Today, I presented Westside with their 5.2 part and smooth-running truck, and they printed me a check for a FULL refund. Parts, labor, everything.For all the drama and hardship that happened, I have to say I was extremely impressed with that follow-up at the end. I never expected a full refund, but it really dies make my life easier. Without that, this would have been a 1-star experience. That said, I still can't give 5 stars, because of the absolutely outrageous theory of the mischievous crank swapping bandit used to explain the part misfit. No one, but NO ONE has ever de-stroked a 5.9 Mopar while keeping every other part factory-stock. Maybe, MAYBE if it was a hot-rodded vintage Duster and some goober wanted to do a poor boy's 340 imitation build, but not a stock truck motor in its stock application.

After using a previous mechanic that drug their feet on EVERYTHING, I called West Side Car in a panic. I explained what was wrong and they got me in immediately and had my car back to me within a week (after not having it for 4 weeks). My car is good as new! To top it all off, I had been driving my dads car and something felt off, when I picked up my car, I left my dads car with them and they diagnosed and fixed the problem within a week! Thomas and the mechanical staff were phenomenal, they even took videos to show what the problem was. I m all for supporting local and I can t say enough good about this establishment and the employees! 10/10 recommend!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

This company won t take responsibility when they burn your car down. They claim they never unpacked our trunk but would have had to if they replaced the battery. I lost my car, the $814 for repairs, and all my possessions in the car. Don t use them if you want a reasonable repair bill and it done right . Owner just posted he would be happy to speak in person!!! I have tried to speak to him in person multiple times and he REFUSED to return my calls. Then told the insurance they never unpacked my trunk, but to remove the 18 battery to replace it you would have had to-I have done a battery swap in it before and know exactly what it entails. This company also had the guts to send me a text over a week later asking me if I was happy my car burned down, what a joke!!! I did receive an apology for the text which does little for me. We are coming up on the 2 month mark and this company still has done nothing to replace my loss. They claim their employees never talked to their insurance, but their insurance claims the employees gave them direct statements. Don t waste time or month, this place isn t worth losing your car and possessions for over a simple battery replacement.

I thought my brakes felt a little squishy so I took it to west side car care. They investigated the issue and found nothing concerning with my brakes. They didn t charge me anything for their time. Clearly these are very honest people with pride in their work.

I was referred by my father in law. I had such a straightforward experience that I recommended my father. I think that a great deal of their business may come from word of mouth. I suppose it's easy for them, their service is reliable and their prices are fair. But the thing that I noticed most was they accepted what their customer's car problem is and stuck to that. I came in for battery issues, though my truck has several previous ones, the employee let me know it was fixed and very very briefly inquired on the other issues. Then once he saw I already knew he dropped it. He didn't cajole or attempt to convince me to get further services. That is uncommon, even rare, for a car shop. But, it was most appreciated.

I really appreciated West Side Car Care. Very professional and when they were working on my car and noticed something else that needed repaired they called right away and gave me an update with on the spot quote and time-frame. Most times they charged less than they quoted, which was surprising to me cause most other car shops have charged exact amount or higher.They re quality is also top-notch.Highly recommend!

Thank you Brad and everyone else who worked with me to get my car ready for more adventures. This shop is top notch for quality work and great customer service. They truly went above and beyond with finding the issues on my older Subaru and it now runs better than it has in quite awhile. I highly recommend them for their fair prices, great warranty, and excellent work.

I have multiple cars and they get worked on exclusively at Westside Car Care. For instance, I have a Subaru Outback with over 200k miles and they have done an outstanding job of not just keeping it running, but running great! This is my daily driver as well as the car we take to Portland and Seattle. I do this with peace of mind knowing that it will get us there and back safely and wont break down on the pass.The front staff are exceptional!!! They make sure I am informed at every step of the way. They take the time to explain what the techs found on inspections and what is recommended (by them or if recommend maintenance from the vendor). If further explanation is needed, the Techs or the owner has stopped what they are doing, come up front, and helped explain. Even have had them pop the hood and show me exactly what they are talking about. They let me know if it a fix is needed urgently or if it something that can wait. They take the time to know that I have a family and know that I would rather not risk getting stranded or worse. They help make these decisions as if it were their car needing the repairs or hauling their families around.I have always been treated well here. A big THANK YOU for the service and staff at Westside Car Care.

I moved to Yakima a year ago and needed to find someone to do a simple repair on my truck that I didn't have the tools needed to do it myself. Westside did the repair and charged me less than half of what I expected. Because this initial experience was positive, I decided to trust them with a major rebuild of the driveline and suspension of my truck. My 25 yr old truck has 340,000 miles on it and I like it, it suits my needs perfectly, so I wanted to rebuild it instead of replace it. The whole project was completed below the estimate, even though it was found to need some additional work. My truck drives like a new truck and I am very satisfied with it. The staff always kept me informed of the status of the work, and were always honest in every way. Westside Car Care was a completely positive experience.

Well what can I say, this business saved me today, LITERALLY!!!! Thomas and Brad and everyone their goes above and beyond for their clients. I have used them several times before and always had exceptional service but today really was different. My car broke down and I had to have it towed directly to them. I was in a panic because I have kids and fianc� to pick up later and was taking to Thomas about that. He offered to give me the rental they have there until my car was figured out. This might be a thing every car place does but that has not been my experience previously. Thomas didn t have too offer but he did and now I don t have to worry about getting a rental or having someone else pick up my children, I can because of him. And I just dropped my car off no more than an hour ago and have been in contact with them about moving forward with repairs. They are fast, reliable, friendly, professional and it doesn t break the bank. Please. Please if you have car trouble take it to Westside Car Care. They genuinely care about the people of Yakima Valley and you will walk away with new friends. I had an issue with my suv overheating these guys not only confirmed what was wrong with my vehicle but got it fixed the same day i took it in! The next day I had a little leak had them check it and and found there was some air trapped and got it resolved fast and got me on my way! Brad and Thomas where very helpful and have great customer service I definitely will be using their shop again I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS to anyone!!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, A/C installation & repair

I was always hesitant to go to a mechanic shop because they tend to rip people off, but Thomas and the staff at Westside Car Care have been reasonably priced and haven't made me feel like I was over paying or treated unfairly. The first time I went here a few months ago, I had taken my car to get some repairs fixed, and they fixed her up like a champ even with how many miles are on it. My second time, on a Friday, my check engine light started flashing and hollering at me so first thing Monday I called Thomas and he was able to get me right in and was able to let me know the issue and how much it would be to cost within a reasonable amount of time. He had my car fixed up shortly after that, THE SAME DAY!!! I highly recommend! I will go back for other car repairs in the future. Honest workers and fair prices.I came in with a check engine light that ended up being an intermittently failing fuel injector. It took them a day or two to figure out, but they were very open about their process and gave me frequent updates. I was happy with the results and the pricing was on the cheaper end of what I had seen shopping around. This was all around a month ago and I have had no issues since.
