As a woman, with some mechanical background I am often skeptical when taking my car to the shop. I want honest, quick and thorough service. When my car wouldn't start after replacing the battery, I got on line and googled "mechanics in yakima". After recognizing that none of the repair shops in our area had 1) a web site worthy of scrolling thru 2) great reviews or 3) online scheduling. Oh - and transparent pricing!Alpha's website made me look 2x to make sure it was local. This told me that these guys are serious about their business and its future success.They were very responsive when I scheduled, and communicated with me from start to finish. Not only that but they told me that they would help me try and recover costs due to faulty battery installation, which was the cause of my alternator going bad.Honest, Quick and Thorough!I hope I don't need to go back anytime soon, but Alpha Import Autowerks is on the top of my go-to list.

I took my car here a few years ago (when it was called ActNow, if this is a totally different business with different people now, please let me know) and was kind of disappointed in the service I received. They were friendly, and did a good job swapping out my rear brakes, but I don t like how they charged me $100 to diagnose a noise especially when they didn t even diagnose it, they just told me they didn t know what the issue was. $100 for that? Really? I don t think you should charge people a Benjamin just to say I don t know. Also, they ended up putting ActNow license plate frames on my front and rear, which made me uncomfortable when I noticed it a couple days later. It felt like my car was being used for advertising. Overall, even though I was glad to have my brakes fixed, I haven t been back for other issues because in retrospect I feel a little bit taken advantage of. I ended up paying a lot more than usual for a brake swap. I will say that all the pictures they send you after the inspection is really helpful and pretty cool, though.

My breaks stopped working while I was driving. Took it to Les Schwab and they said I needed a new master cylinder, and that I needed to take it to someone who really knows how to work on cars. So I texted Alpha Import Auto Works. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day; even though, Alpha Import Auto works was closed. By Monday, my car was fixed with 4 breaks replaced. Thankfully I did not need a new master cylinder, or whatever the very expensive thing is called that they told me I needed to replace. My car was ready for pick up the next morning with brand new breaks. This is the best mechanic in existence. Being without a car is a huge inconvenience, getting it fixed so quickly and painlessly was a game changer. I feel so happy to have found a great place to help me with all of my car problems. I will never go anywhere else. I hardly take the time to write reviews, but Alpha Import Auto Works really stands out.Service: Brakes

My F150 needed a the exhaust manifolds replaced and the knowledgeable people of ActNow got it done quickly and professionally and it sounds good as new. This particular repair is a tough job that can go wrong in a lot of ways but they got it done no problem. Great service! Tom was a pleasure to work with. The digital inspection report was awesome and super easy to review on my phone. Communication was quick, easy, and professional. I had my valve cover gasket, engine torque mount, oil, filters, spark plugs, and headlights replaced. These guys are truly so professional, they always are straightforward with me and take care of my car with expertise. Tom is awesome and so are all his guys. Tom at Actnow was so helpful . My truck had broken down when I was on a road trip he was willing to look at it right away and even helped me to find a hotel to stay in as it was almost 5 and I was still on the freeway . Unfortunately my truck could not be saved but he helped me through the whole process . Usually car repair places are super unfriendly to women and he went way above being polite and courteous, he was helpful considerate and made my whole experience better . If I lived in this town I would use this business anytime I could !

While pulling our trailer,, the wife and I broke down just outside of Yakima.Our first conversation with ActNow, they were genuinely concerned about our safety and if we needed help trying to find a place to stay for the evening. You rarely get that kind of response from a business these days.. ActNow quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it fast and we were on the road the next day. Great team members and business. I am always skeptical when trying to find someone to look at or work on my car or truck.After getting a flyer in the mail and reading some reviews I decided to call Act Now Automotive, and ask what a tune up would cost on my car, (I thought it was running a bit rough) and instead of telling me a price, and scheduling an appointment he asked more questions said he would would recommend looking at and then letting me know what he thought it may be.So I schedule an appointment, for this am.After an hour or so they called me and told me that they couldn't find any issues!! Which of course is great news, but when he told me they were not charging me, well that just made the already good news Great news!!!!!Now I know I've found a place that will be honest.Thank you SO VERY MUCHCarol R. Had a great experience with Actnow. I had put off getting my Mercedes repaired for years cause I feared what the cost would be. These guys figured out everything that was wrong and explained what needed to be done. There was no pressure from them to get all the things fixed and the price was really good considering everything they did. These guys are the best! I called them to see what it would cost to get my power steering flush done; not only did they come in $50 cheaper than the place before, but they were able to get me in that day. I also told them I was getting ready to sell the car I was bringing in and they offered to do a digital inspection for me with the service. They inspected the car, took pictures and gave descriptions of what needed to be done and when, then sent me a link so I'd have a copy to easily forward to potential buyers - It was beyond helpful! I can't recommend them enough.

Our jeep broke down while on a roadtrip. They were able to move things around in their shop and get us in immediately. They had the vehicle diagnosed (starter went out) and fixed within a few hours. ActNow was able to save our trip. They were professional, efficient, thorough, helpful, kind and knowledgeable as well as affordable. If you need car repairs I HIGHLY recommend you come here!! My car was making a clunking sound and I wanted to get it checked. Their inspection was thorough and came with pictures! I usually don t go to mechanics. Always feel like I am about to get ripped off. However, the guys at Act Now Automotive are really honest stand up mechanics.They provide written quotes, and provide pictures of why the work needs to be done. They aren t pushy and won t try to force a repair job on you (try to make the work seem more urgent than it really is).I have now had a couple large repairs done with them and I am confident in the work that has been done.

I was impressed with the professionalism and the communication backto me during the process. There were no surprises and I had the options ahead of time to approve the work items listed. The price was reasonable and Tom made the process clear. The office and shop were orderly and organized. I had work done on a VW TDI and they accomplished the work on an agreed timeframe. Finally a trustworthy shop in Yakima! I called around to get quotes and found these guys were right in the middle of the range. They were able to get me in the next day, and the total cost came in under the quote. Instead of trying to upsell me, they told me I could get away with not replacing other parts for a while, unless it became more of an issue. It's been refreshing to work with an honest mechanic after my previous interactions with local shops. ActNow is definitely the only place I'll be taking my car from now on.

Very upfront and honest. Brad was able to work with my vehicle service contract to get some of the cost covered. The repair was done quickly and for a reasonable price. The online diagnostics tool they use sends a link to your phone to see the issues they see, so you know exactly what needs to be done.

Act Now fixed what another mechanic mess up on my 1997 Ford Expedition. They treated us with excellent customer service and were very respectful. Their work is high quality, because my Expedition runs amazing! If you want quality, affordable work then I highly recommend you visit Tom and the crew at Act Now.

5 STARS for ActNow Automotive!!!! Thought I was having issues with the starter on my truck and ended up taking into ActNow, was only there for maybe 10min and was soon diagnosed with a poor battery that needed to be replaced. WOW, what an honest company and staff. Could have easily made up an expensive quote for repairs that were not needed but the honesty at this company is rare these days and was very impressed. Excellent service. Mechanics/Technicians were extremely friendly and very professional. I needed to get a used truck being sold by a local dealership looked at and they were very accommodating with scheduling a pre buyers inspection. They did a very thorough inspection and informed me of a couple of issues with the vehicle that I was very glad to be aware of before I moved forward with purchasing it. Highly recommended!
