This is my second time bringing my Audi R8 in for service and the service, honesty, communication and professionalism are always top notch. John the owner is a great guy to chat with about anything automotive related and will go out of his way (as he did with me) to make his customers happy. Highly recommend - he sets the bar for great customer engagement, excellent service and great prices.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great experience with Group2 and their work on my older C43 AMG. Communication was great and they were thorough in their repair work. Also completed some additional work that I mentioned after the car was already with them. Looking forward to working with them in the future.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C replacement, Wheel alignmentServices: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C replacement, Wheel alignment

Worst experience I've ever had with a shop. They essentially totaled my car. They quoted me about $2600 for a timing chain replacement and four day turnaround time but charged me more than $4000 and took about three weeks. I asked them repeatedly if they were sure and if they were comfortable taking on the job. they said no problem and it was routine for them. After a week with no communication from them and having to constantly call to ask where my car was, John the owner called when they realized they were in over their head and said it would be two weeks because they ordered the wrong parts and it was a bigger job than they thought. He assured me he would not charge me more than what they quoted me. I went to pay and they charged me about almost double the quote and they made sure to hold onto my keys until I paid in full.Ill leave the laundry list of things they did wrong:Seated head gasket improperlyEither reused or improperly installed valve cover gasket (probably the internal gaskets as well) as it has a massive oil leakBroke intake boxBroke exhaust hangerReused broken mounts/bushingsLeft loose bolts/ screws in the engine bayPossible damaged oil filter housing gasket (can't 100% attribute this to them but most likely was them because there were no issues before)$200 alignment was off (despite taking it back twice before making it home for them to adjust it because it was pulling hard.) Their bad alignment ruined a brand new pair of tires because they didn't set the toe right.I could tell they just wanted to get my car out as fast as they could because they wanted their shop space back. They didn't even have the decency to clean off the grease they left all over the exterior and interior of my car. They even covered the service manual in grease. When I called to see if they could fix some of the parts they broke they said not unless I paid for them to fix it. Totally unprofessional and just an embarrassing way to operate a business.

Polite and professional, they replaced the valve cover on my BMW in a reasonably priced and timely manner. They reached out afterwards to see if I was satisfied with their work, which was nice. I recommend reaching out to them and getting to know the folks there.

We brought our 1963 Cadillac to Group 2 to have the interior completely redone. Melissa and the upholstery team worked with us to select the perfect fabric, trim, carpet, and stitching details. The car looks amazing! Thank you Group 2!

Group 2 Motorsports is an amazing place for car talk, buy, sell or repairs. John, Melissa and entire team are extremely knowledgeable, passionate and terrific people to get to know. Service of most foreign cars is their specialty. Often they host or organize events such as British Invasion where most of these images were taken.

2023 update - group 2 staff has been extremely unprofessional publicly with a former client. There is no excuse for acting like children and I m revising this to 1* as a result.I had an absolutely wonderful experience with the folks at group 2, I found them through the Avants car club where they were highly recommended. I brought my M2 with a freshly installed set of Ohlins R&T coilovers in for an alignment and they were very courteous and kind throughout the experience. It was clear this was a group of enthusiasts looking to make my car what I wanted compared to just a service they sell. My alignment is exactly what I was looking for, for aggressive street driving but not track oriented (for now). Lots of great eye candy out front (get ready for some beautiful cars going down there..) and I had some fun european auto conversations to boot. It was nice everyone was masked, the front door was open to get good airflow, and the team was respectful. I'll certainly be back to visit the group 2 motorsports crew down here again, highly recommend.

This was my first time dealing with the guys over at g2 and overall it was a pretty pleasant experience. I initially called looking for a specific motorcycle helmet which they said they were able to accommodate. Stefan ensured that he d be able to change the padding as well for the helmet free of cost just to make sure it fit correctly which was fantastic. I ended up driving down from Vancouver BC to pick it up and unfortunately there was a bit of miscommunication and the larger padding that was supposed to be included with the sale had been sold to someone else Stefan however was extremely apologetic about the whole situation and he was able to send the pads straight to my house free of charge along with a free visor and pin lock to make up for the mixup. Very satisfied with the service I received and will definitely be going back to them in the future.

This business operates in a shady manner. The owner John will tell you one thing and then suddenly the issue is something else. They may use low grade parts on your vehicle and charge you for a quality version of said part. Even resulting to using junk yard parts from LKQ or B&R. The owner will belittle people to their face and has a bad attitude toward anyone questioning why charges have suddenly changed. He s seen on YouTube and instagram videos belittling a customer asking for compensation due to his shops negligence in bad business practices when they had his Porsche in their shop. You will see good reviews on here about how good of a job they do. While that may be true those reviews are mainly about economy cars. If you have any form of sports car or luxury car I d avoid taking your car here. The shop isn t known to be nice to customers who are wanting to know what s going on with their cars as the work is being done. If you don t know much about cars expect for some up charges to be applied and some we found something else to be said to you when the service writer calls you about your vehicle. Anyone in the car community should steer clear of this shop. If by any chance there is someone who is reading this message please think twice about spending your hard earned money here. Do yourself a favor and do some research about this company. If they are willing to treat other customers like this who's to say it won t happen to you. It may not happen the first time but what if a repair fails and you have to call and they blame the failed repairs on you and your negligence it s happened before who's to say it won t happen again.

John, Matt, Sean, Jerry, and the G2 team have taken great care of my 1958 Fiat 1200 convertible. We are methodically working through a number of mechanical issues on my old Italian job and it runs better and sounds better each time we visit Group 2. I highly recommend them for anybody with a classic European car.

Honest and quality work. I would not take my car anywhere else. Their parking lot is also cool (so many Alfas!)Update (12/26/2019): Took my car in Dec23 when I started hearing a ticking noise coming from my S8. I feared the timing chain tensioner was failing which would be ridiculously expensive to repair. Group 2 figured out that it was just a failing catalytic converter which sounded all too similar to a failing chain tensioner and saved me just in time for Christmas! John, the owner, was generous enough to let me use one of his cars while the car was being checked up on and could not have been more helpful throughout the entire process. Group 2 is the best in the business!

My 1993 Porsche 968 Turbo RS Tribute car is highly modified with racing parts. Group 2 Motorsport is a very competent repair and restoration shop with extensive racing and fabrication capabilities. I am impressed by their meticulous work. I like working with John, the owner; he is caring and happy to listen and assist in making any projects come to reality. Also thank you to Melissa and Sean.

They will fake missing parts to charge you more over time. They will try to keep your car in shop and refuse to let you try a different mechanic.

The guys G2 are incredible! I approached them with a non-standard exhaust job and sway bar replacement on my ND2 Miata and they did a phenomenal job. I was on a tight budget and when we ran into some complications while installing the exhaust because the manufacturer didn t send the right parts, the guys at G2 explored multiple alternatives with me, the pros and cons, and how each decision could impact the car long term. The eventual work on my exhaust ended up involving a lot of custom work (velds, mounts, nuts, bolts, etc.) and it they did it all really well. When I noticed some squeaking come out of the exhausts and followed up with them a couple of weeks later, they took me in, fixed the squeaking, and the car s been driving phenomenal ever since. To sum it up, they have a super experienced crew who do a quality job, and even an awesome lounge to hang out in while your car s being worked on (would totally go hangout there just to look at all the fun projects they re usually working on).Service: Exhaust

Brought my new car to have winter tires put on. The quality was exactly what I was looking for. Wonderfully clean shop area they are happy to show you, unique vibe with all of the awesome European cars around, and a feel that job I was looking to get done would be taken care of with attention to detail. They delivered across the board. It can come off as a super high end European auto only shop, but it s not! They have expertise there for sure, but will take care of almost any car for you. Whole crew was very pleasant and John & Melissa are fantastic. Very highly recommend.

I don't normally go "all out" for a shop like this but I was so blown away by what these folks did, I will go into extreme detail here to let anyone with a European car know what to expect should they come to this fantastically ran shop.First off, I'd like to thank John van Rensburg - the shop's Director - for leading a great team here. A very honest and charming individual, he's a no-BS automotive enthusiast and between him and his wife; they run a great shop here :-).I want to list some pros/cons of this shop before I get into the details of what services I had performed:Pros:-Extremely honest [listed out EVERY single part number used in every single service. While some of the parts had a bit of a markup, it certainly wasn't anything 'scammy']-Excellent communication (when you could reach them) [They were very up-front with the services they were going to perform, the services they WANTED to perform, and EXACTLY what everything would cost - there were absolutely NO surprises in my invoice at the end of the day.-Very transparent [They had nothing to hide! I could walk in, completely unannounced and look through their giant window into their shop and even go out to talk with the people doing the work on-the-fly. No hesitation, no worried looks, no stink-eye, just honest conversation about the car's progress and what they were doing. SUCH a relief!]Cons:-Sometimes hard to get a hold of [John's a busy guy, and his crew are always working on some project. Nearly impossible to get them to answer an email but a quick call usually yields a quick response and a clarification of anything you need].-Rushed work sometimes yields mistakes [while I am certainly the exception; I did have a loose exhaust bolt causing a bad rattle when I picked up the car and had also lost the ability to use cruise control - both items fixed immediately when I brought it to their attention.]What I had done:Ron, their welder/drivetrain specialist, did an absolute AMAZING job welding a massive fist-sized hole in my bellhousing. He did such a great job, you can barely see that anything was wrong to begin with! Would certainly pass a sellers inspection :-).Dax, their service technician, was very good good (albeit perhaps rushed a few things hear and there) and very communicative through all the major things he did.-Rod Bearings, VANOS rebuild, Subframe reinforcement, clutch and dual-mass flywheel replacement, giubo, rear main seal, associative bushings, installation and alignment of Koni Yellows and Eibach suspension setup, and installation and balance of new Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06+ tires all 'round. The car now feels like brand new and I can hit the 'reset button' on maintenance. If you are in the market for a very refreshing look at European car ownership; come to these folks. They have a customer for life now and my wife's 1971 Opel GT will be going under their knife later this year as a direct result of a great experience. THANK YOU ALL! :-)Services: Transmission, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Steering & suspension replacement, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

Came to G2 Motorsports twice now and had an excellent experience both times. My first visit was a last minute, next day request to mount, balance, and align 4 snow tires for the season. Dropped off my car in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. My second visit was for a regular fluids change for oil, brakes, and coolant. During this service, they noticed that my car wasn't building boost as much as it should and reached out to me to have the car for an extra day to diagnose. They found a few leaks (charge pipe attachment was no longer connected and MAF sensor bolt was backing out). They fixed this and returned the car to me. Overall, a great shop and would recommend them!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Clean. Professional. Quality work at an honest price. II have been taking my car here for almost 4 years and have found the guys at Group 2 to be friendly, efficient and most importantly, excellent trustworthy mechanics. On more than one occasion they have gone out of their way to help me, whether its picking up my car when the battery died or having the foresight to meet me at their old location when they realized I didn't know the shop had moved. Customer service is clearly their forte.

I've had these guys work on my E60 M5 quite a few times, and every time I experienced world-class service befitting a world-class shop. The techs know what they are doing, and the quality of work is top notch. I've had my car in for a variety of things from simple work like doing lowering springs to major maintenance such as rod bearings, and left impressed every time. I can't recommend these guys enough, 10/10.

I realized my review was lacking any real information so I have edited it to go into a bit more detail. I live in Vancouver Canada and found the best price for Michelin Pilot Super Sports at Tire Rack. The recommended installer in Vancouver was not a place I wanted to take my car. There weremany shops around Seattle but most were the Goodyear or other regular tire shops. I drive a mint 2002 BMW M3 and extremely picky on where I take it for any type of service. When I saw the G2M website I knew I would be happy with the install. I ordered tires from tire rack and had them delivered to Group 2. Set up an appointment to have them installed. Was out in about an hour. The entire process could not be easier. Great guys, clean shop. Highly recommend this business.

I took my Range Rover in to have snow tires put on for winter. I also asked them to chase down an oil and coolant leak. They solved both problems and although the job was more involved than expected at first, Ian kept me updated well along the way and they seemed conscientious and knowledgeable. I typically do all my own work on my vehicles and I'm pretty picky about who touches them, but I felt like I was in great hands here and I have a couple of friends who swear by them as well. Very satisfied!

Met the owner John at a lapping day at Pacific Raceway last summer. I had gotten a flat tire on the track and didn't have a spare that day.John's crew was kind enough to help me remove the tire, throw my tire into one of their cars, and John's girlfriend drove me and my tire to a tire shop a few miles away. Waited for about an hour with me while the tire shop repaired my flat, and then brought me back to the track!!!Although my day was done by that time, i was able to make my way home without any issues. I am so thankful for how truly amazing these folks at Group2 are.Over the last year, I've chatted with John about cars and projects and he is always very helpful, providing his feedback/insight on things I was looking to do. Although I haven't actually been a customer of them yet (I live north of the border so its not too realistic), if I ever have anything that needs work while in the states, there is no question that I'll be giving John a call. When looking for a shop to work on our cars, we all want a shop we can trust. And with genuinely great people like John at G2, there is no question they are trustworthy.

I could not ask for a better experience from a shop and I expect to be back the next time I need my vehicle serviced.Thank you for your incredible effort to get my car repaired and back on the road so quickly!
