Tommy did a excellent job tuning my ls swapped 67 firebird it runs perfect, starts perfect, I would highly recommend getting your car tuned by him

I took my 2008 Corvette to Tom Wong after hearing about his LS tuning expertise and wealth of knowledge. After reading many reviews prior to calling Tom I felt confident this was the shop for me.Tom installed Cam & Headers and also a Dyno tune. Im sure glad I listened to Tom. The BTR Cam I recommended would not have been the best application for my car. The BTR Cam Tom recommended is the one we went with. I couldn't be happier with the performance numbers and idle note on this automatic transmission application.Tom did so many other little upgrades and modifications with this Cam/Header install. I didn't know what I didn't know! Tom also took the time to answer all my questions and explain items I had no idea were part of the complete install.I ve had the car for over a month now and absolutely couldn't be more pleased. Thank You Tom!!

Easy to work with. I didn't have any issues getting ahold of them or setting up an appointment. I had them tune my restomod C3 corvette. There were some issues due to the location of my coil packs , but they were able to role with it and it didn't seem to effect the tune. All in all it took about 3 hours and the motor stars and runs as smooth as ever.

After installing cold air intake, Kooks headers, Borla exhaust and Borla X-pipes, I was going to need my 1999 C5 tuned. Reading some online Corvette blog recommendations, it became clear that Tom Wong was the LS1 guru here in the Northwest. The recommendations weren't wrong. After my tune I had the very great pleasure of driving my Vette home to Bend, Oregon. The long way. The phrase "bat out of hell" came to mind a few times. I'm sure the people I passed had similar thoughts mixed with some other harsh language. It may seem like a bit much to drive 360 miles round trip for a tune but Tom's work is definitely worth it.Service: Auto engine tuning

After installing an A & A supercharger I took my 2011 Corvette to Tom Wong for a tune.He caught a couple of small mistakes I d made on the install.I was extremely happy with the results from his conservative tune.He is very knowledgeable, provides a great service and charges very fair prices.

I just had another go with my 06 goat. I put in a big btr cam, titanium top end kit and long tube hedders this round. Which never goes to plan, the long tubes were even more of a pain but with Tom's help the LS2 is tuned, better then ever I might add.The man fabricated a certain exhaust piece that we needed, on site to make the magic happen! Fair pricing, solid work, solid guy and solid tuning!! Tom Wong lived up to his name! Thanks again my man, salute.

Before I really get into it let's get it out of the way. Tommys experience and knowledge regarding GM old and new is invaluable to you, your build and wallet. If you're considering him like I was, do yourself a favor and call him. WARNING: Hes busy so if he doesn't answer, call again a bit later. He's a far better performance mechanic and tuner than a receptionist. That's the best advice I can probably give you.I hadn't been in the LS scene that long and was searching the entire NW for someone reputable to add insight, potentially work on, and definitely tune my build. As I searched it didn't take long for me to find out Tommy was who I needed to hire. Everyone I know that gave him extremely high praise, I have since added myself to that list. I got ahold of him, he put me on his schedule which was booked 3 weeks out and even then he ended up tuning a bunch of us in his day off, Saturday. I filled out the Dyno release listed all my mods and motor work. After he strapped the vehicle to his Dyno he got work which took 2-3 hours. After he was finished he let me knows some things of concern that I even missed. He gave suggestions to make more power in the future. My build exceeded my expectations and power estimations. I did the wrenching he did the tuning. I wish I would have paid him to do both now honestly. I can't tell you how much happier I am that I hired him instead of the other options. Especilly since a few people noted Tommy was the one that could identify and correct the issue nobody else could. People have also used him to correct questionable tunes done by others or programmers. Don't get me wrong there are several performance shops in the area that are great but for an LS hes at the top of the list.His unassuming no frills shop is more go than show. If it wasn't for all the vettes parked out front. You'd be likely to miss it. Take comfort knowing when you pay him it's not because he needs to pay a massive warehouse lease. You pay for his time, experience and knowledge. This is clear when he hands back your keys and Dyno printout. Ill be back again for more tuning once I get bored and buy some more toys for my build. Also, if you're coming from far away like me his lot is fairly trailer friendly.

Had gears changed in my 2009 Chevy Express 3500 and and needed a speedometer calibration done in the ECU. Wong's was able to get me in at a very reasonably price compared to a couple other shops in the area.Service: Auto engine tuningService: Auto engine tuning

Tom seems kind and friendly and helpful. I dropped my stuff off and go back to get it in a couple of days. So the jury's out. Will get first hand experience on how good he is shortly. ... His reputation precedes him though. That's why I went there....... Fast forward a week: he did an excellent job reprogramming my PCM that I carried into him. Once I had the engine back together and the PCM reinstalled in the car, it fired right up. I look forward to my appointment in 6 weeks to get on the dyno with him.Service: Auto engine tuning

Tom is a true craftsman. He did a heads/cam/tune for me, and I was beyond impressed with his professionalism, reasonable pricing, and timeline. I drove for an hour to his shop, even though other shops were closer, and it was absolutely worth it.If you want the peace of mind of a job done right, you need to go to Wong's Performance Engineering.Services: Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

Mr. Wong was incredibly knowledgeable and surprisingly personable when he tuned my 8.1 Suburban. Anymore these days it seems like polite and/or courteous interaction with older fashioned customer service is just that-a thing of the past. I was certainly impressed with the time and attention he took with ensuring my many questions were addressed, and how careful he was with my rig in general. I have not found a lot of shops with much experience building or tuning the 8.1, but Mr. Wong had a great deal of knowledge with them in both N/A and boosted configurations. I'm incredibly glad I met him, and can't wait for him to tune my project Blazer next. Highly recommend.Update: I returned with a second vehicle to tune and had a great experience with Tom once again. This time I brought my 8.1 swapped Blazer, which had a number of issues I was unable to solve on my own with HP Tuners. Tom worked through each of them and we put up some great peak numbers to boot. I could not be happier with Tom and wouldn't consider going anywhere else in the future.

Best performance shop I ve ever dealt with. Tom is knowledgeable, easy to work with, timely, and very fair with his pricing. I m thrilled with the work he performed on my Corvette, and will definitely be returning for more in the future.

Tom is by far the number one guy to go to in the northwest if you are looking for a highly knowledgeable and experienced tuner. Having my 15 2015 Z06 on the dyno and tuned was one of the best experiences I have had with any shop. Tom is very down to earth, knows his GM products, and knows how to make POWER! Treats your vehicle like it is his own and with respect. Can t thank you enough and I will most certainly be coming back once more mods are completed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Ok first off, as the other reviewers have stated Tom can be a bit hard to reach initially but once he has your car he has no issue with communication. He also keeps his appointments and times. I recommend messaging him on Facebook to get in touch.Anyhow, I own a C6Z and wanted someone reputable to do the heads fix as well as a tune. I'd heard a lot about Tom so I drove my car all the way down to VA from Seattle. I dropped my car off on a Sat, and Tom finished the car by Wed morning which was great. I was worried I'd have to wait weeks before he got to it like some performance shops do but no, when he makes an appointment for you he keeps it, which is awesome.The tune he did on my car is excellent; it's making 485 RWHP with just an intake which is pretty good. The car is noticeably more responsive and also faster.Finally, he gave me a quote before hand for the work, but in the end he actually charged me less than the quote. I think that's the first time that's ever happened to me and I was pleasantly surprised.Tom is not only a great mechanic and tuner, but also a great guy in general. I enjoyed our chit chatting about his skiing and travel adventures before I had to head back to Seattle.Overall 10/10 experience. No one but Tommy is touching my car anymore if I can help it.

Tom does excellent work, he is honest and fair. When you need the job done right the first time he is the man to see. My truck runs great and he straightened out some of the mess another so called performance mechanic left me with on an engine swap. Thanks Tom

Very knowledgeable and quick to do an ECM tune.Update: It was a bad tune and burned up my 3-4 clutches in a newly rebuilt transmission. Cost me another $1200 to have it repaired again because of his bad ECM tune.

Highly recommended. Tom has taken very good of me and my Corvettes. If you want someone that is very knowledgeable, trustworthy, experienced, fair and someone that strives to do the greatest work, you can count on Tom.

Look no further; this is the spot. Took my LS swapped Japanese tuner car here yesterday. Seemed like it was running a little rich, idle less than stable when coming off throttle. Also just wanted to make sure existing tune was good for the longterm, I finally got my dreamcar and wanted it to last. Motor came with cams, intake, headers etc, but I didn't have any build specs from previous owner. TJ got it spot on. Period. Car ran strong before, but after tune gained 24rwhp, and motor is literally improved in every aspect. Idle perfect now. Pulls noticibly harder everywhere in the rpm range, doesn't smell rich anymore. TJ found previous builder had set an insanely high rev limit value and corrected it, thank god I didn't detonate the damn thing earlier! Best of all, motor just feels 5 times more "composed", like it's running efficient, balanced and smooth as butter, even under heavy sustained throttle. So happy I found this place, will be referring all my friends here. Oh, and the price was super fair too! Took forever to get in touch with. Trying to get a response via email or phone was a huge headache. Once I finally got my appointment set, I arrived at his shop only to wait almost a half an hour after his shop was scheduled to open for him to show up.The "full" tune on my car took a whopping 2.5 hours and I left with a very un-optimized tune. After buying tuning software myself I found that Mr. Wong had made zero changes to my cranking tables, leaving me with hot-start issues, a hanging idle, and a host of other issues.After ringing me up (charging me nearly $600) Mr. Wong admitted to me that he was "getting lazy" with the performance work he was doing. Needless to say, I was shocked. Regardless of any relationship he may have thought we had, this is not something you say to anybody who just handed you a significant amount of money for a partial days work.Ultimately, I would not trust Mr. Wong to touch any vehicle of mine ever again. You're better off going to Brad's Custom up in Seattle.

Absolutely awesome guy to deal with squeezed me in same day even though he is extremely busy. He answered every odd question I had and solved a ton of issues I was having with my installed parts. Will be using him again

Tommy definitely knows his stuff. I popped in on a cancellation and he spent 5 hours tuning my truck on the dyno and fixing other shops screw ups.
