Great customer service, great looking drive line! I stretched my wheel base, so they lengthened my broken rear drive line and rebuilt it.

I was having issues with the center support of my two-piece driveline and a 98 Nissan frontier. I-5 driveline got me set up with a one piece driveline to replace the two piece with the carrier. I m amazed at how much smoother the truck goes down the road without the vibration that it previously had. It is even much lighter weight now without the center parts even though a 3 tube now.

My son was driving our 1964 Thunderbird last week up a freeway on- ramp when a sickening clunk made the old Ford shudder to a stop. A look in the rear view mirror showed my son the driveshaft was rolling down the hill behind him. Not a good day! A bystander pulled the driveshaft out of the road and jammed it under the rear wheels. See picture one. I really thought that was the end of our car. We got AAA to flatbed the T-bird home to our garage. A call to a local transmission shop the next morning lead me to Lou at I-5 Driveline. Lou assessed the damage, let me know I needed a new driveline, and built me a shiny new one -- a perfect match -- see picture 2-- from scratch in 24 hours. He also gave me wise advise about installing it, telling me to make sure I check the torque on the differential yoke nut. He was right, it was loose, and so I followed his advice to back it out, redlock it and torque it down to 100 ft/lbs. This morning, the T-bird is back on the road, just a couple days after what I thought was a fatal disaster. He also let me know the transmission shop that replaced my universal joints 15 months ago likely put the wrong size U-joint in, and that's probably why it failed in the first place. I am so glad I found Lou, and just wish I had known about him a year ago. I could't recommend Lou more highly. I also like his dog.7/17/17 :One quick update. Thanks to the quick repair, we were able to get the Tbird on the Road for the Concourse D'Elegance Portland show July 17 in Forest Grove, and we won 3rd place! Thanks again Lou!

Took the driveline out of my F350 super duty truck to get shortened and rebuilt. Lou is a great guy who is amazing at what he does! Got it done quickly, and taught me a few, very critical things while I was there. Remember, you pay not just for the service, but for the experience and expertise too. This guy deserves your business no doubt about it! Treat him with respect you'll get it back. Thanks again Lou!

This is an awesome shop. The owner is a great guy, taught me how to remove u joints the old school way and has the coolest shop dog I've ever had the pleasure to be around. I brought her some treats after he was finished repairing my drive shafts, great mechanic and great dog. 10/10 and 5 stars. If my driveshafts ever act up again I'm taking them back there.

Hands down best driveline shop you'll find! The Owner Lou is a Legend! He rebuilt and balanced my driveline within an hour of me pulling in. My truck feels great very happy with everything customer service, quality parts, quality work, fast turnaround. This man knows what hes doing. I would've happily paid twice what he charges. The job was done fast and done right very rare to find a shop like this these days.

I went to I5 driveline due to being the only one in town that was open. I had what I thought was a bad u joint and the lift on my truck made my deadline to short. There's a reason there's only one stockinette shop in town. This guy is the absolute best hands down. My only complaint is that he only does drive train and not a full mechanic shop. Lou is a total stud and has the knowledge and is personable to get my truck fixed in under two hours. I wish I could rate him hire than a 5 star. I would recommend him to everyone I meet. I will use him every chance I get and you should too. Prices were reasonable and his personal touch that only comes from experience is amazing. I'm so glad I went to him. I can't give him enough praise. Total stud. Use this shop

I cannot say enough good things about Lou and his shop. He is fair, honest, and really good at what he does. He took the time to explain what he was doing and prepared me for what he might find as he was disassembling my differential for a complete rebuild. He only recommended the parts that actually needed replacing and took the time to not only tell me, but show me why. Highly recommended.

The carrier bearing in my sons truck failed for the second time. Lou was highly recommend by a neighbor. After a brief conversation about our issue he suggested going with a new one-piece drive line as a stronger replacement. We picked up the new shaft the next day. The welds were perfect the price was good and it was very nicely painted, too. The new shaft fit like a glove, we were able to rescue the truck from the side of the road and keep on schedule for the father-son camping trip we've been planning for months! Thanks Lou!!

Lou is very nice. He explained the problems and showed me what he could before taking the differential apart. Everything is working well after the repair. The ONLY thing I would have appreciated would have been a phone call to advise me that the bill would be higher than quoted due to damage being worse than anticipated. The charges were very reasonable, just significantly more than expected. All in all I doubled definitely go back and recommend Lou to others.

I was recommended to this shop from a buddy of mine after I butchered installing U Joints in my pickups rear driveshaft. Not only did they do a phenomenal job but went above and beyond, the tech explained to me the difference in U Joints and the in and outs as well as showed me what i did wrong for the future. I have nothing but praise it was affordable, quick, and had a classic warm family owned atmosphere. I will definitely be going back for any future needs.

Called Saturday morning to see if he had time to replace my carrier bearing. Was told first come first serve that day, that he had one on the rack but could start mine within two hours. I took my chances that no one else would get there first, arrived in an hour. Within two and a half hours he had replaced bearing, all U-Joints, balanced and repainted my driveline. Nice guy, work well done.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had originally rated this place at 5 stars as they did a great job Lou was amazing. He has since retired and the new people started out fine enough, but it takes much longer now to get a driveline made/fixed in addition the prices have climbed dramatically. My most recent driveline I had made was not easy from the start they were unwilling/able to attempt a front yoke removal and tube weld to top that off it was made too short which I understand can happen. I dropped it off for repair and they charged me more to have it lengthened. Apparently a new rear end was needed and bearings replaced. I don t believe I ll be going back there as I have alternate options. Perhaps it s growing pains from new management perhaps not.

Lou does great work. Had my driveline come apart on the road. I took my tacoma in and he did a complete rebuild, new u-joints (originals were dried out), straightening, and balancing. He completed it with a nice coat of enamel and had it back on the truck. If he's not already busy he'll accommodate walk-ins. Lou relies on word-of-mouth and his reputation is staked on doing a good job. Would highly recommend.

Awesome experience went in this morning with a vibration in my driveline, Lou put it on the hoist inspected everything and showed me what needed to be done. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Got right to work and he explained everything as he went along. Something you hardly see anymore. Now no more vibration and a very happy customer for life. Fair, clean, and just honest! Very much appreciated.

After dealing with 3 shops and conflicting statements regarding what was wrong with my truck, not to mention wasting time and money, I came to I-5 Driveline Repair. I expected to hear the same baloney as I'd heard from other mechanics and inflated prices. To my surprise, Lou quickly and efficiently told me the issue with my truck and quoted me a very decent price for the repair. My truck was up and running by lunch, and may I add, it's never run better. Thanks to Lou and I-5 Driveline Repair for the amazing work. I highly recommend this shop!

Lou knows what he's doing. I came in with a bad u-joint. He put it on the rack and inspected it. Pulled the driveline and completely rebuild it. My truck drives like a caddy now. Hard to find a decent shop that has the knowledge anymore. Come check this place out. Fair price and honest work.

Don't waste your time shopping around for driveline work, go straight to Lou and know you are in good hands. I have had multiple driveshafts serviced and repaired at I5 Driveline and am consistently impressed by the quality of work, fairness of price and the sheer volume of knowledge Lou is happy to share to help solve your vehicle issues.

Lou just shortened a driveshaft for my hotrod. Quick turn-a-round and excellent craftsmanship. He was able to spot a problem that would have surely damaged my drive train and correct it, as well as making my drive shaft the correct length!. A job well done at a fair price. I highly recommend I-5 Driveline to anyone. Thanks, Lou!!

Lou is wonderful, he had my driveline finished within an hour of dropping it off and was really patient with me when I wasint able to pick it up for a few days. I was very satisfied with the price considering all other places quoted me at double the final price. Lou also had a incredibly sweet labrador that hangs out in the shop with him. If i could give 6 stars i would.

Rebuilt both of my drive shafts in my Toyota Land Cruiser in about 4 hours, on a Saturday! Went though the whole system to verify there were no other problems that could be causing my vibration issue. Very Solid work, and a very honest man!

Took my 2005 F350 to Lou because I had a rubbing noise coming from the front right hub. Lou replaced my seals in the front axle tubes, upgraded my driveshaft hanger bearing, and installed new u-joints for me. I asked him to rebuild my rear differential, but he inspected it, serviced it, and told me to quit trying to spend money I don't need to. Saved me a bunch of cash. Excellent workmanship, honest and trustworthy individual. I would highly recommend I-5 Driveline to everyone.

Lou was great to work with and super friendly also. I probably slowed him down since we were talking while he was finishing up. My 2002 F350 feels great after he repaired the driveline. Would recommend anyone who needs driveline work or anything else the Lou does to go to I-5 driveline.

Amazing service and a great help! Got in over my head and quickly overwhelmed replacing my axle and could not get the drive shaft on. He quickly got the drive shaft on for me, refilled my transfer case which was low, had me back in my Jeep quickly and gave me an amazing deal! 5 stars.

Very nice down to earth shop and I echo all the other five star reviews. Have a 1994 Buick Roadmaster Wagon and Lou had all the parts to get me going again while I waited. Invited me to watch him work, interesting work and man.Highly recommended the shop for any drive line problem.
