To start off, I do not recommend this shop at all. If the work they do is flawless then all is well but if they didn t get it right first time and you request follow up work.. be prepared for rude treatment and accusations of what did you do to the car after leaving the lot.The longer version- I ve been using this shop for the last 5 years with no complaints until my last few interactions. I brought my suv in for an alignment after some suspension work and tie rods. The initial alignment resulted in a steering wheel pointing towards 1 o clock letting go of the wheel and a pull to the right. When requesting a second look at it they wanted to charge a second alignment fee. When disputing paying for the same work twice they instantly started down the road of that is normal to the crown in the road ignoring the fact that I stated in all lanes. That followed by suggesting that i likely hit a curb. After numerous conversations they agreed to put it back on the rack at no charge. However through either incompetence or malice the alignment couldn t be completed and camber was at its max adjustment setting . Needing a second opinion I brought it to Toyota and they had the suv in spec with no issues at all.

Good service. They were able to get our SUV in on short notice. However, they did forget to secure a radiator hose clamp. I was able to find it quickly and to secure it myself, no harm done. Even with that, we will use them again. Thanks.

After reading all the amazing reviews of this fine establishment, I decided to let them do all the work on my vehicle. I let them install a 4 inch lift, Grill guard, winch and floodlights on my 4x4 and I was honestly blown away by the quality of work they have done here. I saw the finished product and instantly, it was like a huge smile was just painted on my face. I have been using them for all my automotive needs from that day forward! Their mechanics Billy and Kenny make quick and easy work of the hardest tasks and really understands your vehicle. Not just throw the parts on like mechanics at other automotive shops. Brown s does quality, affordable work on all types of vehicles from trucks to rare cars and I have experienced their quality care in all of my vehicles and will not go anywhere else to get my vehicles fixed. Anywhere else is just a knockoff of the quality work by Brown s.Thanks, guys!

My buddy Corey recommended Browns to me years ago and I have been going to them ever since almost exclusively for all of our car repairs. They are honest and fair and have done great work. Car is still @ Browns. I am happy with them so far...what a fiasco. I have tried to stay open minded and fair, but jeez louise, it has been a nightmare. $4500 later, new clutch, new brakes, and whatever else they did over a week in the shop. I get it back and the emergency brake does not work anymore. It certainly did when it went in. Keep in mind I just bought this car at Rick's Auto Sales 3 days prior, so I know that it worked. Just about the only thing that did work was the E brake and the flipping heater. We return that car to Brown's & he fixes the brake. When we get it back the heater is only blowing cold air. Well we did not know that for about a week. And Robin calls my husband a liar. We waited too long to tell him the heater doesn't work. We are trying to get over on him or something. Who does that? I think Robin and Rick are related. Because they both hustled me.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Brown's is the BEST auto mechanic I've been to in years. I had about 5 major issues to get fixed on my 97 Honda and they got 4 done in a little over a week. I was super impressed and will take it back for more fixes in the future. They're affordable, local, and do a really good job repairing cars in a timely manner. I needed a new rack and pinion with tie rods and browns hooked it up! They were super quick and effective with the replacement. Awesome company and always willing to help answer questions, 10/10 customer service and work! Thank you to Brown's Automotive for helping me out today! A warning light came on my dash letting me know my tires needed air. There were no air machines available at nearby gas stations so I whipped into Browns to see if they could help me. They were super helpful -- checked and corrected my tire pressure so I could get on my way! Their kindness made the difference between a frustrating morning and a really nice morning!!

Brown's Automotive came to my rescue! And then charged me nothing!!!I realized I had a flat time as I was driving by and pulled in to their parking lot. The whole team literally dropped what they were doing and immediately inspected the tire, found the nail culprit, and suggested the best place to go to repair it.The owner/manager refused to take any money from me. It's easy to think that this type of neighborly and even good samaritan service doesn't exist anymore. But Brown's proved that it does indeed.Thank you Brown's Team!!!Service: Auto tire replacement

I can't say enough about how great it has been working with Brown's. They are skilled, caring, and honest. I have used them many times, most recently for a complete engine replacement on my 2010 VW Tiguan. Talking through the options against the backdrop of buying a new, used car, totally with my best interests at heart, we made the decision. I've been going to Browns for almost 10 yrs, never an issue. Even when other shops had issues diagnosing, Robin always came through. Reasonable prices, great work and you generally don't have to wait 5 months to get your car back. Highly recommend.

Brown's Auto did a pre-purchase inspection for us and customized it for what was needed (didn't need lights, heater, etc. checked - we did that), and went the extra mile to ensure the car was free of major issues. We'll be back.

UPDATE 5/18/212 years later and still Five Stars!After dealing with headache after headache and thousands of lost $'s at another shop after I moved out of town. I decided to take my Jeep back to Brown's to figure out an issue that the other shop clearly couldn't.Robin took the time to walk through the outcomes, diagnose my vehicle and ended up fixing the initial problem for a fraction of what the other shop put me through.Thankful for an honest mechanic that cares about finding a solution for their customers. Could not recommend him more if you live in the area.If you're looking for an honest shop with great service look no further. Been taking my Jeep here for 2 years now and Robin does an incredible job. Thanks guys!

Highly recommended! Brought my car into the shop after I was told I had a blown head gasket by two other mechanics. Brown s diagnosed that my car s overheating was caused by a cracked radiator (not a blown head gasket). They successfully repaired my car and literally saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs in the process! I have since used Brown s for other work on my car. They are excellent at diagnosis and do quality repairs for a fair price.

I had the recent pleasure of having Robin (the owner of Brown's Quality Automotive Services) work on my car, he was speedy and very pleasant to work with. He called to keep us appraised of his findings, kept to his estimate and when he came across another small repair that was needed he fixed it too without charging me for the labor and the time it took him to do it! (Robin said it wasn't any trouble for him as it was close to the part that he was already working on anyway!) How often does that happen? Just wanted to pass along my experience with Brown's they really do quality work with quality service! Thanks guys!

I have been taking my three cars to Robin for 4 years almost. Robin and his crew have always done good work. I have had an engine rebuild done here, for cheaper than anywhere else, and have never had a problem. Everything is done in a timely manner and he is patient when asked dumb questions. I won't take our vehicles anywhere else and know I can trust Robin to get the work done right. Also, if the problem isn't fixed all the way the first time, he will fix the problem at no additional charge because you've already paid to have that specific problem fixed. All in all, least expensive, most honest, and quality work done in a timely fashion, gotta be the best mechanic in Vancouver.

Brown's is by far the most honest and reliable mechanic shop in the Vancouver area. They have worked on my personal and business trucks and the work has always been exceptional and completed in a timely manor and the cost of work has been very reasonable. The owners, Robin & Tracy are always a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Browns for all you vehicle repairs.

We have taken all our vehicles to Robin Brown of Brown's Quality Automotive Service the past couple of years. Robin the owner just finished doing our Lexus brakes, he fit us in the same day and ordered us quality parts...my husband & I feel that Brown's is affordable and do a great job. We have never had a bad experience. Earlier this year we needed to get our truck smog tested, it didn't pass :-(... Robin was able to get to the root of the problem and fix it. We couldn't be more please! We recommend Brown's for all your automotive needs.

This place is amazing!! I ran over something on my way home from work, which lead to me getting a flat tire. I was so upset and I was getting ready to put my doughnut on and do the swap. When a very nice man came out of this shop and asked if I needed help. I said "yes that would be amazing!" Without hesitation he came out with their big shop jack and swapped my tires. This man had this done quicker than I could've done on my own, he did all of this out of the kindness of his heart. I had nothing to pay him for his help and he said no need. This moment helped remind me that there are still good people in the world. Thank you so much!!

Robin at the St Johns and 78th st did an excellent job on my 1998 Dodge Ram 2500. I thought my piston rings were toast. Turns out all I needed was I new intake manifold gasket. Excellent service, excellent communication, I highly recommend this shop. I will be using them from here on out. It s important to be able to trust your mechanic. My truck runs amazing. Excellent local auto shop. Came in for a timing belt replacement and had previously received many quotes from other auto shops and Brown's not only was far more affordable but they were fast about the repair.Highly recommend going here if you live in the Vancouver area!

Honest, competent and fair auto care. Robin and Tracy have been doing this a long time. Prices are comparable to any place else, lower than a lot of other shops. Quality work and decent people. Please patronize this small local business. I've been bringing my cars here for 7+ years, and am very satisfied.

I asked for a quote for a rebuild on my 2.5L engine, I waited 2 days and called back. He lost his notes then proceeded to tell me that he had them right in front of him LOL. Then told me he doesn t want to do my rebuild for some reason. I just don t get it because that s their job right? And it even says in their services. I just don t get it. Me and my girlfriend looked at each other in disbelief. Here s proof. Thanks Browns, I first had them work on my manifold and exhaust system a couple years back on my Jeep Cherokee, but won t be coming back

I have been going to Robin for over 12 years, ever since I moved to Vancouver. He is honest and does a great job. I have had show cars , 4x4's and daily drivers, and he has been more than fair. I have recommended him to several people that I work with at UPS and family members. I Highly recommend him and his crew.

Browns Automotive has helped me now several times! They have answered my questions over the phone, they fit me right in and fixed my car right away without charging me an arm n a leg! These guys fixed my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee where the other (also good) mechanic couldn't. Twice. They seem very good and knowledgeable - at least in the Jeep world, which is the one I am interested in. Price very reasonable. I am going to stick with them.
