I'm 38 years old and both my parents and myself have been trusting these guys for almost 20 years. John, one of the owners has been my go-to car expert for anything automotive, especially imports. He was one of the best if not the best technicians at Lexus in downtown Spokane for almost two decades, winning many awards, being sought after by other Toyota and Lexus dealerships for assistance when they would get stuck, and he outlasted multiple dealership owners. I'm glad he and the other owners are able to open their doors directly to the public. There is no doubt you're getting top dealership service without the dealership prices. These guys are trustworthy, friendly, fast, dependable and worth every penny. They do big jobs with engine out services, hybrid battery rebuilds, and simple stuff like oil changes. Plus, they'll never cut corners and they use the same parts as the dealer. Easy choice.

Had been dealing with transmission issues with our 2013 Mercedes the last couple years. 2 different professionals, on initial look, told us we would need to replace the entire transmission. We brought car into Japanese Auto Service and after inspection John concluded the existing transmission could be repaired for a fraction of the price it would have cost to replace it. He was excellent in communicating with us during the repair process and our vehicle has been running great ever since. I would recommend this business based on their honest inspection/pricing and quality work.

I voiced some concerns to John about my Jeep. He insisted on taking it to his shop to check it out and I'm so thankful he did. He fixed it in a very timely manner since I live out of town and he had it ready to roll that same day! He also did extra inspections to make sure it was all good to drive! Very conscientious and professional. Highly recommend!

John is one of the most honest hard working guys I know! If you want to take your vehicle to someone who will do anything to help you out I highly recommend John with Japanese Auto Service! They are extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, great at communicating, timely, and will do whatever they can to help you no matter what your situation/problem might be! John has helped me get out of sticky situations in regard to my old Volkswagen Jetta numerous times! He is the BEST!!!

It's tough find a shop you can depend on for honest work these days but I thankfully found this one. When I brought my car in the tall mechanic took the time to hear my concerns and investigate the cause of my car's issues. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and give me good details on the potential causes as well as my repair options. The whole interaction showed me they do care about their customers which is a huge relief when dealing with the unknowns vehicle issues can bring. I will continue bringing my car back whenever I need work done though the quality of the work performed this far leaves me with confidence I won't have any repeat issues. Awesome work guys!

John is very professional, punctual, knowledgeable, honest and explains the work required. Appreciate his service. From troubled work vans to diesel trucks to blown head gaskets or a rear main seal. Only one guy I trust and that s John. Very friendly and explained everything he was doing. Gave me pointers about caring for my car. Fair and honest pricing!

Had my vehicle worked on and was very happy with my service. Not only were the mechanics very knowledgeable, but they walked me through my service every step of the way. They have an awesome app where you can check the status of the work, and you can even pay on your phone. Great group of guys and a very easy process! Will only be going to JAS from now on.

I had a sensor/wiring issue with my car, so I took it to the manufacturer. I found out it wasn t covered under warranty and was quoted $1,600 to fix it, and come to find out later after John found the real problem, the $1,600 quote wouldn t have fixed the problem, therefore, would have taken more time and money to find a resolution. Anyways, once I was told the cost to repair it, I immediately called John to see if he could help. John went through all the wiring throughout my car and found a cut no larger than a couple centimeters and was able to fix it and get me back up and running. John has been my go-to mechanic for years I wouldn t trust anyone else to do a more thorough job. He is hands down the best in the industry and just an overall honest, good human.

John and his crew are exceptional in their skill and service! I had gone there once for a minor issue with my vehicle but ended up eventually having to call on him for an unrelated roadside issue which he came to help me with no questions asked! Best in town without a doubt!

Japanese Auto Service is amazing. I highly recommend taking not only your Japanese or import but your American vehicle there as well. In the past, I have had had my Sequoia, Lexus, Prius and Jeep all worked on by John at Japanese Auto Service. Not only is he an amazing machinic but he is a great guy as well. Recently I had my wife's 2019 Highlander Hybrid at Japanese Auto Service. After three failed attempts at the dealer, John identified the issue and had it fixed the next day. Thank you to John and the team at Japanese Auto Service for taking such great care of my family and me.

The heat went out in my car during the ridiculous cold spell that we had back when temps were in the single digits. I dropped my car off the next morning and it was done before the end of the day. I usually take my car to the Nissan dealership but of course they book 2-6 weeks out, they re expensive, and they ve never friendly or appreciative of the support. John and his team were so nice and very appreciative of the support and for calling them. When I got my car back it was not only PUMPIN heat but they gave it a quick vacuum for me and I left with future diagnostics info too No need to go to the dealership anymore. I ve definitely found my car guys and I m so happy!!

We brought our Prius to John at JAS after consulting with multiple shops that our Toyota needed a new or used motor. The JAS team went above and beyond rebuilding our Prius s original engine. We couldn t be happier! It s been almost 50k additional miles since the rebuild and we ve had zero issues with the car. We will ONLY take our Prius and Tundra to JAS for service maintenance and repairs. These guys know how to do the job right. Highly recommended professionals!
