This shop actually knows what they're talking about. I appreciate how straightforward Bob is. I'm super skeptical about auto shops, but this guy did a great job with rebuilding my transmission for a 2014 Chevy Silverado and helped me troubleshoot an additional problem that another shop was trying to rip me off for. Thanks so much, Bob. Job well done.

Had total trans failue on my '05 F150 4x4. My regular service shop said he'd install a remanfactured trans for a crazy, crazy price. I called around and the wait was 2-3 weeks just to get it looked at. But Bob's took it in the next day and quoted a really good price for a rebuild! When I picked it up, I noticed the trans was slipping in 3rd gear, but Bob and Rob worked with me toward total satisfaction; and the thing works perfectly! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bob's Transmission Service.

Great Service! Quick turnaround as well. Called on a Monday, dropped the car off on a Tuesday and had it back by Thursday. I get this may not be the case for everyone, depending on parts. They were honest and didn t beat around the bush for the repairs they were going to do. Comes with a warranty as well!2007 Cadillac ESV was the vehicle.Thank you for a job well done!Service: Transmission

I had taken my old pickup to another transmission shop and I thought the estimate was a bit high, so I brought it to Bob's. He asked me about the symptoms I was noticing and told me right off what the problem was (which is exactly what the other shop told me after test driving it), I left it there and picked it up a few days later, completely satisfied with the whole experience.

Had a simple question. I was advised by the person that answered the phone that unless I brought my car in and paid for my transmission to be worked on by them that they would not be able to answer any questions. The world is all about money and not helping people and/or just being a kind human being. It's just sad

I took my truck to aamco and they were trying to charge me over $4,000 to rebuild my transmission which I thought was redonkuless. Everyone I called were out for at least a month. A mechanic shop referred me to Bob's Transmission and they got er dun in a timely manner and they charged me a reasonable price. Highly recommended.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

This place for sure has the best prices in town for transmission repair but it seems to be about all it has going for it. (Don t get me wrong, Bob is a fair, decent guy) we took our Volvo there last year and had the transmission rebuilt. It s first time in the shop it took him about one month to get the car back to us, which I get that things happen and stuff gets delayed but the first day after getting the car back, it ended up leaking out all of the transmission fluid on a hill, in one of the busiest intersections because who ever worked on it didnt replace the retainer clip for the hose. So, then we had to unpack our kids and leave the car in a not so great area and get some transmission fluid and a little plastic clip and have my husband fix it himself. After contacting him, Bob did reimburse us for the transmission fluid that we had to buy to replace the but the whole ordeal was very inconvenient after waiting for a month to get it back. We took the car in that same day to have him check it out and make sure nothing was damaged and he said it was good to go.About seven months later, the drive went out and we had to call bob to get it towed back to the shop. A stuck solenoid was the cause and it took the shop about 2 months to get the car in working order. The day we got it back he couldn t get it to stop throwing itself into limp mode but somehow managed to make it stop. (no big deal but two months is a long time to wait for a car thats already been in there not too long prior to that)three months later, two weeks before the one year warranty was up, reverse and forward went out again. Bob had it towed back to the shop again around the end of January and that s where it has been to this day. It s now may 1 and still no car or any communication from the shop whatsoever. We have to call them and ask about the car and we are always told to call the next week. I don t think he has ever called one time giving an update any of the times it s been in the shop.I had heard great reviews for this shop from other customers and read great reviews and I do realize that much of the issues sat with it being a volvo with ongoing transmission issues but I was really disappointed in the service we got. Volvo s are tricky to work on but three times In a one year is a little ridiculous and I know it s warranty repairs aren t a top priority but for reals ...it s been way too long.UPDATE: the Volvo drove ok for about another six months then the hose seal kept falling off and leaking out all the transmission fluid and my husband kept putting it back into place and then we fell into rough times and I really needed the car working and I gave bob another call and he told me to bring it down and he fixed it with the week for free despite it being well over a year past the warranty but it didn t stay working For more than a year before it got stuck in parking lot because the hose kept coming out so we scrap it and he done with it.

I had a wonderful experience in 1990. But the last time I took a vehicle in it took awhile to the new transmission put in. During this time I informed him of a need of a new trann cooling line that needed to be replaced. I told him that I had found I thought the correct one, but appreciate it if he would get back to me of the line in question that leaked so I could get for installation. I called several times. I was told that he would take care of it.When I picked up truck I drove five blocks to the store and when came back there was a pool of transmission fluid on ground. I purchased trans mission fluid and put some in. I called and he said to bring it back in the next week. Since I had just bought a transmission because of leak, I was very skeptical. I had put up on lift and the same hose I asked to have replaced was leaking. I took the work truck back into shop. I told him I informed them that I asked for the bad line to be replaced. He said leave it for a couple hours. I came back and he said he took care of it. I looked under the vehicle and the shop cut two additional transmission cooling lines that were perfectly good and redirected?? I tld him that they did additional damage, why would you do that? He said well it won't hurt if you don't pull trailers or a heavy load!!!!! This is a work truck that pulls trailer for transporting materials to jobs and equipment trailer. Also a transmission with a warranty on it.. If installed to specs of course is a cooling system not cut short of need. I wrote two letters without a response and now have been forced to file a grievance and to repair will to buy $320 cooling lines and $ 250.00- 325.00 in shop fees for another shop.

The clutch in our car went out. We are on our way south and Rob squeezed us into his busy schedule to help us out. The clutch also damaged the transmission casing and Rob arranged to have everything repaired on time as promised at a reasonable price. Too bad we can t clone him and take him back to our town. Highly recommend his shopService: Transmission

Great work at a great price. One thing they need to work on is customer contact. Every time I talked to them, it was because I called them. They didn t even give me a quote before ordering the parts and starting the work. All that said, I wouldn t take a transmission anywhere else to get fixed. It s worth dealing with the underwhelming service to get the work done right.

Excellent so for. Met all expectations. Just took 2 days to rebuild my f 250 transmission like they promised, and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this business to friends and regular customers.

Bob is actually the most knowledgeable transmission man in Spokane. He has for 20 years repaired transmissions in 6 vehicles for me. Every time honest and fair prices and perfect work. No issue with any repair they run like new. He also has done 3 clutch jobs all excellent no issues. You have a choice , either have Bob fix your transmission and do it once or play the tow it back to the shop game further east on Sprague ! And pay much more at these other shops.

I bought a used dodge Cummins pickup from dishman dodge and the torque converter toasted after a week of having it. They sent the truck to bob's to get it looked at. Bob went with me on a test drive. Good ol boy that's been in the business for 50 years! Hot the converter swapped day and got me back on the road. Highly recommend

This place is a DUMP. They had my mom's rig over a year, you read that right. They couldn't even fix it and then when asked about it they through a fit and literally parked it outside their fenced area and said come get it. Do not give them business and we towed the car elsewhere. These guys are absolute morons and they damaged the car in several places. Incompetent father and son team. Would go negative stars if I could.

They did great on my clutch and the price was excellent, but the other 2 things I've had work on has had to be redone within 6 months. I will not go back or reccomend them.
