My friend was 4 days late on a payment because THEY had a system error and the auto payment didn't go through. They took the car with NO warning NO phone call. My friend paid over 7,000$ for the car and they came and towed it and tried to charge him a ridiculous amount to get it back ... 4 DAYS because of THIER system. Honestly I think it was because English is his second language and they took total advantage of him for that reason. My friend has a good job and a family and has been put in a horrible situation because of this. I would leave minus stars if I could

drove 40 miles today March 23rd to this dealer at 10:30 amAll information on the building and on there web site says they would be open.No open sign, doors locked and no one was there.

Took a day off work to look at a truck that I emailed about that morning and was emailed back to come look at it and when I got there was told it was on hold for someone else very annoyed by it don't recommend them at all. Even had cash .

Keith and Doug are awesome!Keith is always willing to work with us and make things right. He's always been courteous and respectful.Doug is a great guy and mechanic. I took my truck in for what I thought was a leaking seal. Turned out that the transfer case was worn out. He had me and my truck back on the road in record time.I believe that these guys truly care about their customers. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. My wife and I have dealt with a few car dealers both new and used in Spokane and this has by far been our best experience.

I am super impressed with Affordable Auto and staff! Keith and Doug were so wonderful in helping me from buying my Jeep to having repairs & maintenance preformed . Doug is an a-mazing mechanic and I highly recommend him. Really reasonable prices too. If quality customer care is important to you, stop by and see these guys, you won't be disappointed!

This is the worst experience I've ever had buying a car. The Saturn I ethicsbought completely stopped while driving . Took it back and this guy Keith who is the owner was an ah.. he knew about this problem and did not say a word. I Google this problem and it was a problem with this vehicle. HE KNEW ABOUT THIS AND DID NOR SAY A WORD. I ALSO ADDRESSED THE CLUNK NOISE UNDERNEATH .. HE SAIS IT WAS A SMALL PART .. I BELIEVED HIM.. IT WAS BAD U JOINTS. HE KNEW ABOUT THAT. I PUT A 1000.00 DOWN.. HE WROTE UP AN Unwind contract and kept 200.00 .. the unwind states the full amount is supposed to be returned.. this guy and affordable is the worst and totally illegal. Do not go there. He sells junk..all he wants is ur money. He has NO ethics and I hate To see places like this in business. Please do not buy from this person.. he will be ur worst nighmare,,,

Please stay away from this business. We have been loyal customers for years, never missed any payments. This business refuses to act honorably and instead argues, yells, degrades and challenges physical violence instead of taking accountability for mistakes. Keith Carpenter is a dishonest business manager who puts on a very good facade. Prices are too high, interest rate is too high, owner does not negotiate prices (even if you're a loyal customer), and vehicle quality is subpar.Reasons I am upset include: Lack of professionalism on the phone Unwilling to listen to concerns Instant willingness to argue instead of resolving an issue Surprise charges when picking up plates, even though we pay title and licensing fees upon signing documents Unwilling to refund late fee for payment that was made one day late due to Autopayment card expiration Negotiating for a vehicle priced $2000 over blue book value and being offered $100 off Selling us a Ford Flex that leaked through the sunroof and refusing to have any accountability, arguing that it wasn't his problem. Our son noticed glass was damaged on roof before we drove away with our purchase. Keith did fix the glass, but would not take responsibility for dents and multiple leaks that were in the exact area as the damaged glass Unwilling to lower interest rate after multiple purchases Not transferring a title for a trade in to Affordable Auto's name, instead selling vehicle with same plates and old title. Meanwhile, new buyer drove around for a full year with a vehicle in our name. I called 6 months prior and was assured this was resolved. New owner finally went to swap vehicle in his name and Keith was unwilling to help. Exhibiting misogynistic behavior towards my wife, yelling, speaking over her and suggesting that her reason for being upset was something other than our concern.

I've bought three cars and Keith was honest, helped me get manageable payments. Always friendly. If it's not right, take it back! They work with you!No complaints on all three rigs!Update: I've had the last car I bought from Keith for 2 1/2 years now. Still runs great.

These guys are AWESOME! Bought a 2007 Jeep Liberty from them and have absolutely zero issues! Keith has been nothing but kind and understanding with a few hiccups I've had with my payments and I can't thank them enough

Doug is the mechanic at this facility, and he is Awesome!!!!! He always goes above and beyond with the work he does on my car. He is always upfront with what he is doing, and comes to me for any decisions that need to be made first, then he follows through and gets it done in a timely manner. Thank you Doug for all you have done for me and my sons. Keith, you know you always Rock!! Thank you too for getting me in a car that is reliable.

I've purchased 4 cars from them in the last 2 years. They all had little things wrong with them but they are used cars and I'm a firm believer in preventative maintenance. With that being said, Keith and Melissa have always been great to work with, answered any questions and concerns immediately and professionally, have been incredibly fair with pricing, and make fair offers to fix something if there's an issue. In house financing with a high APR is rough but when you have bad credit that's to be expected. At least here you can refinance after you pay the balance down. After dealing with other shady car lots for so long they've definitely earned my repeat business. I will always highly recommend them.

Just bought our daughter her first car. After an exhausting search, we finally found the right vehicle at the right price at Affordable Auto. Keith was excellent to work with. Very professional, honest, and actually cares about the customer. A breath of fresh air! Would definitely go back.

Highly recommend this business! I bought a vehicle about a year ago and at that time I had visited a ton of dealerships and was either treated poorly like I was an inconvenience or they were so pushy that it made me uncomfortable. This was not the case at affordable auto. Keith, Melissa, and the mechanic ( forgot his name) made me feel like I was family. They were honest and listened to what would work for me. I was in an accident recently in that vehicle and Keith went above and beyond for me and fought the insurance company. He really had my back and showed compassion for me without me even asking for anything of him. I am now in my second car from affordable auto and recommend them to my friends and family.

Keith was very helpful and understanding with my vehicle purchase. Let me test drive it twice before making my decision and the financing option was wonderful. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a good vehicle and hassle free service.

Customer service was great . Not a bad a little dealership so long as you have cash.. I bought a vintage car that I was absolutely in love with and the price was reasonable. I wish I had known All of their extra unbelievable unheard of fees they tacked on... I basically almost did 90 days same as cash but still ended up paying almost more than double.. I was aware of the extra fees but not aware of the prices of those fees until I made my next big payment and was shocked that the balance after that Was still very close to what the original price of the car was Before the down payment... you will pay through the nose if you go through their financing.. save yourself almost triple the amount of your cash and just buy it out right.. but beware there maybe even a fee for that

Reasonable prices and great staff! I love my jeep and have had minimal problems that were inexpensive to fix. Like with any vehicle, things wear out or break. It happens. You buy a brand new vehicle and then can potentially have something go wrong the next day. Mechanics don't have a crystal ball lol they can't predict what can go wrong, so to all the people complaining about stuff breaking on their vehicles; It happens! Affordable Auto works with their customers and gives them a reasonable rate should your vehicle need a repair.

Great place! Buying a car can be stressful and they helped me every step of the way did their very best to work with me. If something goes wrong they are very helpful and honest. I love this place and recommend them to anyone. customer service is great they are friendly and helpful. They have gone above and beyond to make sure I get a car that works for me and to help me step by step.

Affordable Auto provided everything they promised I am very pleased with affordable Auto some people forget when you buy a used car things happen that are not plan for but I can say that affordable Auto is a honest dealer and I would recommend them to anybody I did not give them a five-star because nobody is but they do try their best

I bought a Focus that required a lot of post-sale repairs from them. They always seemed nice and acted like they wanted to help get my car going, but it always seemed to need at least 2 visits for any issue I had. At one point I had taken it in 4 times for an overheating problem and when an additional issue came up they they couldn't diagnose due to not having the proper tools, I traded it in for a Ford Explorer. Not a month after I bought it, it needed 600 dollars to fix the AC that had been broken since day one. I was just unfortunate enough to buy it on a cold, rainy day and didn't test it. They referred me to another location for the repairs, but didn't take responsibility for it. They did offer to pay $100 since I was paying off the vehicle in full, but I refused since I felt that was insulting. I then moved out of state and now it has an exhaust leak, the spark plugs were actually rusted into the engine, and much more. I feel they have cheated, lied and stolen from me and do not suggest buying anything from them. I also find it suspicious that since I had put my review up, 2 very positive reviews have appeared.

Keith Melissa and Doug in Spokane Valley are some of the best peopleYou will ever meet and/or work with. Im going on 3 years with my ride. Its been worry free and dependable. My credit was terrible and they still got me a great deal. I could go on and on but if you need a ride and want to work with great people go see them.

We bought a 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback from these guys in April, and it has been a great car, despite it's advancing age. They work with us for whatever we need! At 249,882K our starter went out. They let us bring in our own new starter and fixed it the next day for only the cost of the half hour labor it required. At 250,041K the radiator decided that it wanted to break on the highway, and we brought it in after limping home, were quoted a good price of $199 TOTAL for the repair (less than what I expected to be quoted...I expected to pay around $250 after parts and labor and tax), and we were able to bring it in the next day. These guys are great to work with, as long as communication is open! If we have a problem with making a payment on time, all we have to do is talk to them and they work with us. We live almost right across the street from them, and if we need anything looked at, we're almost always able to just bring it in and have the mechanic (Who is a ninja, btw) look at it. They're extremely helpful, I don't find their prices too high, considering I've worked for car dealerships before, and their customer service is top notch. We've NEVER had a problem with these guys! I highly recommend getting a car from them!

At first Keith was sweet and very progressive. As soon as I put my signature on the contract his demeanor changed. The very first day I purchased the car and we were on the freeway at night when both headlights went out! Putting me and my families lives at risk! We had to take the car back 3 times just to have the HID head lights changed, or so I thought....when they told me they fixed them. They didn't!!! They lied telling me that they ran the lights "for hours". The moment I received the car back I tested the lights and they both went out again! Keith is a liar. In the end they wouldn't even change the lights! Keith put me and my families lives at risk, he lied to me when he said he fixed them, he is a manipulator and liar. He is rude and accuses people of everything wrong instead of owning up to his deals and responsibilities! Keith is the ideal stigmatism of a cheap, low end, crooked car salesman. The vehicles on this lot are low quality and priced far above their worth. The worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership.

Very nice staff. Keith was able to answer questions and answer my concerns after closing. Didn't find a car from them but waiting to see if they will getting I'm looking for. Only in house financing place I know that takes the time to look at car and is honest.

I was searching for a reliable used vehicle, at a fair price with monthly payments that I could afford. Keith and his team were there for me every step of the way. When I found the vehicle that I wanted to purchase, we found out that I couldn't get approved for bank financing. Fortunately Keith was able to finance me through their In-House financing, sure the interest was more expensive, but that was my fault not theirs. During my payment schedule of 18 months I came across some financial hardships, and was unable to make my monthly payments for 3 months while I was looking for another job. I contacted Keith about it, and he was able to work with me during that time. I told him I could not make another payment until I found a job, but as soon as I found one I would catch up on my payments. Their only requirement was that I stayed in contact with them during this ordeal. I just started working with a great company in CdA, and received my first paycheck on the 5th. I told Keith I could only afford to pay $180 on an account that I was behind almost $750, and he asked me how I liked my new job, and if I felt that I would be there for a while. I told him it was great and I felt like I would be there for a while. He said just pay what I can every pay day until the account is caught up. As a "gift" for finding a job, he said he was going to wave one of my late fees to help me out. Any other used car lot with In-House financing would have had a tow truck pick up my vehicle, but the Team at Affordable Auto in Spokane has truly helped me, and my family through a very tough financial time. Keith please thank you staff for me for all of your help and understanding. My daughter will be driving next spring, and her first car will come from your lot. Thanks again

Great place to get a reliable car, plus the owner went above and beyond to help me get into a new ride. I will forever go to this car lot. Beautiful cars at reasonable rates. Plus the mechanic and owner are great upfront guys who genuinely want to help people regardless of credit or a down payment. Great place thank you guys for all your help!

This guy is a scam. He sold me a car with a major engine problem and gave me 3 days to return the car if there is a problem with it. The car loses 1 quart of oil every 2 weeks which is too much. The problem was clear after 4 weeks when i saw the engine oil sign light. I could not believe that there was no oil in the engine when i checked the dip stick. I came back to him and he told me that he told me about the problem before signing the papers (OMG). So what? Am I going to buy a car with a major engine problem? He is telling me that there is a problem with the car, but i am ignoring him and signing the papers (Hahaha). This guy is shameless, rude and sassy. That was not enough: he sent me to a mechanic(his friend) and the mechanic told me that there is no problem with the car at all.(WTF). I was financing the car and when i came to the pay off they kept the registration title for three weeks and were ignoring my calls. They also told me that i have to pay $500 for the GPS chip that they built in the car. Unfortunately i signed the papers because i trusted him and he was nice at the beginning.I am posting my experience with these scams. If you want a good deal, stay away from these shameless guys.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!I had the MOST terrible car buying experience here, I found a car that caught my eye here, at the time i had a truck and could not afford the fuel economy, so I traded it in along with a small down payment. Everything went good until 2 days later when the car broke down (during memorial weekend) I did not have enough money at the time to pay for a tow truck, and could not get ahold of any staff here to help get it off the street. A few hours later the car was impounded, I made this aware to Keith ( the owner ). They refused to Do anything about this, they insisted I pay for the impound fee and the towing, and would not repair the vehichle, There for they would not send a payoff for the truck I had and I lost the truck too. I am currently in a HORRIBLE financial situation because of this AWFUL "Business". STAY AWAY. Plus, All of their vehichles have higher mileage and are from the "Seattle Area" who knows what has happened to them before. Please do not let these people take advantage of you.

A shady neighborhood does not mean shady customer service! The staff and mechanic radiate superior customer service and knowledge. They will work with everyone to help them get into a car, and then continue to assist customers through good times and bad times. I cannot recommend another dealership higher than this wonderful gem in our community.
