We had left the Observatory and noticed that we were almost out of gas, when behold! A beacon! During the intermittent cell phone service areas we saw this GAS BEACON Chevron even though our Toyota hybrid showed 0 miles left, we careened downhill for roughly 18 miles until we made it to the Chevron. Pumped gas and used the restroom. We did not enter the mart because of police tape. Thank you, Chevron!*P.S. - Please note that this is the last visible gas station when coming from I-5 to the observatory. Going uphill really, really does a number on your perceived and projected gas mileage. Makes you wonder what America really runs on. Here's a hint, it's not Dunking Dontuts.

They have fuel, we bought fuel. What can you say about a gas station? No problems.
