Andy Hickman, the new owner of Vintage Customs, is a man of great integrity, discretion, patience, and a pleasure to work with. Vintage Customs is a nationally recognized shop in Tacoma, WA that specializes in the restoration of 105 and 115 chassis Alfa Romeo (Giulia Sprint, Spider, GTV, coupes, sedans, and convertibles).By the time Andy took over Vintage Customs in 2020, my car had been there a very long time. For both of us it seemed like all my 1965 Giulia Sprint GT needed was a few weeks to install a new interior before being sent on its way. As the work continued on my car slowed by COVID, supply issues, and other problems Andy discovered things on my Alfa Romeo he felt were not up to his high standards.Rather than kicking the car out the door and marking it done, Andy took the time to make it right recognizing that his reputation and reputation and quality of Vintage Customs were at stake. I know there were some difficult decisions that had to be made. I admire Andy for the doing the right thing, when I'm sure some customers were losing patience and happily venting their frustrations in the Alfa Romeo community.Andy has managed to retain a lot of the skilled team of fabricators with Alfa Romeo expertise that make it a great specialist shop.

Andy and his expert team at Vintage Customs are outstanding! I brought my 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider to them with a list of maintenance issues. They worked and repaired every item in the list. They also found other issues and fixed them too. Their knowledge, skills, expertise are phenomenal! I was briefed about status and repair recommendations for each issue. They listened to and addressed all of my concerns. I felt very confident having Vintage Customs working on my Alfa Spider. And very relieved that it was not being repaired at any other auto repair shop.My Alfa Spider has been thoroughly repaired! And I am looking forward to many years of exciting road trips. Very happy I reside close to their shop in Tacoma, WA.Every time I stopped into their shop, I felt like I was in an Italian auto museum!No other auto speciality repair business compares to Vintage Customs for us Italian car aficionados!Outstanding customer service! Go there and you will be amazed!

They do the right thing here. I'd taken my GTV to body shops in the SF Bay Area with mixed reviews. Here they knew what to do and just how to do it. If you see famous cars on the shop floor you know you're in a pretty exceptional place.

Not at the address that Google sent me to! When I called to ask where they were located the guy on the phone was cold and not at all personable! Didn't even go to the location he said they were at.
