The place for your rebuild starter or alternator. These guys know what they are doing and can come up that hard to find unit faster than you can get it online. Very happy with my fresh Perkins starter. Will bring my Balmar alternators for a once over!Thanks Ken!

These guys rebuilt a starter for an obscure import vehicle. It took a little while, but I am so pleased with the result and they were so kind to me when I d call to check up on it. I m just thankful they were willing to take on this project!

Came in today to get a different sized pulley for my alternator and they swapped out the old pulley for the new one on my alternator while I was there. It took about 3 minutes but I ended up talking cars with them for about 20 minutes in the shop. Great place, really knowledgeable staff and I plan on coming back. It's cool to see places like this still around where you can walk in and talk to people who know and understand what you're working on.

Amazing work and Best prices around. I couldn't find anyone who would rebuild my alternator for less than an arm and a leg and these guys gave me a solid price instead of saying it depends on what needed replaced after inspection like the other shops.. The turnaround was less than a week and for how much it saved me I'd say it was well worth it.

I could not say enough great things about this business it is a good old-fashioned locally-owned good old boy who does honest work for an honest buck. Reminds me of going to a similar place with my father as a child and growing up not just throwing away everything but repairing it these things are built to last starters and alternators and when they do go out they can be repaired rather than spending hundreds of dollars on a new one take it to sound starter and alternator rebuilt they have never let me down.

Just picked up a starter for my boyfriends boat motor. He sent me in with a picture of the part number on the starter that needs to be replaced. The gentleman was able to get me the starter and on my way quickly. I love that there are still little shops like this that are rebuilding starters and alternators! We will definitely be back for any future needs.

I drove an hour to get to the shop, then they gave me the wrong part. Drive back home, realized it wasn t going to fit. Drove back to exchange for correct part. Installed the correct part then determined I didn t need it anyway due to another electrical issue. It was installed for about a minute.They are charging twice the online price, and they wouldn t take it back because it was now used . Even tried to negotiate a restocking fee.As a fellow submariner, I expected a little more courtesy and customer service. They lost my business and my recommendation.

Fantastic knowledge and service. Not a large shop so not a quick turnaround, but worth the wait. Repaired corrosion on my 190 amp Powerline used on a boat.

$285 to rebuild / convert 1955 6v starter. Better price than alternative (mail in exchange).

Perfect. fix your solenoid with a couple cheap simple parts. Auto parts store guys were good enough to refer me here, as cheap as the internet with the hands on assurance that its the right fit.

My starters and alternators lasted way longer having this shop rebuild them than when I bought a new part since he can figure out how they were manufactured wrong in the first place

Over $220 to rebuild an alternator. OEM Reman alternator at the store is less than $180. Makes no sense!
