I am beyond furious right now.I paid over $2k to get AC/heating repaired barely a week ago and out of nowhere my car's engine started overheating and beeping as I'm driving 60mph in the middle of I-5!I opened the hood and it turns out one of the hoses wasn't secured properly and disconnected as I was driving! This has been a terrible experience and right in the middle of a busy day for me. I wanted it fixed for good, and for that price, I expected a lot better than this.

If there was 0 stars, I d pick that - this is in regards to the service department. This was my first time here and in short - incredibly rude, the worst customer service I ve ever experienced, and will not be returning.The long version: I went in to have a recall repair on my electric vehicle. When I arrived, everyone just ignored me, even though there weren t any people waiting. Finally a woman side eyes me and says can we help you? . I explain my appointment and she stares at me more are the keys in the vehicle? , I hand her my key. She gets up to leave to look at my car, returns and doesn t say anything as she taps away at the keyboard as I stare at her desk decoration desk decoration that says something like professional and efficient . She starts to ask for my address and phone number but the man next to her turns on his speakerphone - letting the loud dial tone blare and then he starts pushing the numbers - making it harder for the woman to hear me. He doesn t pick up the phone until all numbers are entered. Just the recall then? The woman says - and has me sign paperwork, then tries to shoo me out of the store. I stated I had questions like will they do a courtesy inspection on my car for wheels and filters, etc. She stares at me and says I mean I can ask them to do it and I tell her the tires are my main concern. She just nods then tries to shoo me out the door again. I ask what time they close, she answers and then pauses, and tries to tell me she ll ask them to get it done quickly, then proceeds to try and shoo me out the door again.I finally leave and get a call that the vehicle is ready. I come back and they just give me paperwork, without really going over anything, just asking me why I was concerned about the inspection like tires. The car was not charged while it was waiting to be picked up. I asked why - they replied well if we don t work on the battery, we don t charge it - which is absolutely ridiculous because they had to test the battery during inspection AND they have a charger at the location. I ask to use the charger and they aren t even sure if i can or where it is. I take my car and find the charger which is blocked by cars that aren t even using it.Here s the thing - any large other car service center like Subaru or Nissan - they do a courtesy charge (or allow us to use their charger at no cost, giving access to the general public), go over everything in detail, and make sure we don t have any questions/concerns. I have a Chevy - I wanted to take it to a Chevy service center and what a mistake.

Gilchrist Chevrolet has been the best place to buy a vehicle! This is our second vehicle this year we've bought from them. We were treated so well in February when we bought my husband's truck, that we had to come back and get a car for me when the engine in my Hyundai went bad. We are now the proud owners of a new 2023 GMC Denali Acadia.

We came in to window shop for a car. We weren t planning on trading our vehicle in, but we were thankful that someone like Chloe was working that day. She was really helpful. I liked that she wanted us to feel comfortable with our purchase and didn t pressure us into just getting a car. I recommended Chloe to some of my friends. This was the easiest experience on purchasing a vehicle that I ve ever had. Are there places in the nation that are cheaper, yes, but do you really want to deal with the after sale of dealing with someone out of state?I put in a mass request to multiple dealers within the region stating that I wanted to buy a 2024 Sierra Denali ultimate. This email included general managers, sales, managers, and sales people as well. I was actually taken aback to only have received three responses out of the 30 people that I had added. David S. was one of them. I had a conversation with him, told me Gilchrist, no nonsense, straightforward, customer fist approach, and decided to make the order. And Gilchrist GMC, I didn t have to be a professional athlete in order to get any type of attention. (gotta love Brotherton in their pro athletes first approach.)David gave me a realistic timeline, which both GMC in Gilchrist, broke by about two months. I have my truck today, was given a great deal. And mind you, they didn t have to haggle with me on price, but did. Gave me a decent amount on trade. And treat me with respect, even today.I am very grateful for the interaction and will be a Gilchrist customer when it comes to a Chevy or GMC for the foreseeable futureThank you, David, Jeff and the Gilchrist family.I ll also be speaking to GMC s regional manager about my excellent experience with not only this dealership and not so great experience with others.

I ve been a customer at the South Tacoma GILCHRIST Chevrolet for 3yrs now. I usually have pretty good service experience until this last time. I told them I was a waiter for an oil change & tire rotation. It took the Express Service almost 1hr & 45min to accomplish this easy service. They did comp my tire rotation so that did make up for the extra wait I had to endure for a scheduled appointment made a couple weeks in advance.

Our family was in extreme need of a new vehicle, as our vehicles engine blew and we still owed on it. Gilchrist did not disappoint at all! We worked with mainly Ricky and Izzie. Everything about this experience was made stress free thanks to the them! They definitely exceeded our expectations! Izzie was super helpful and was so sweet to our children, a huge thank you for that alone. And Ricky knew exactly what we needed and was able to select the perfect vehicle that meets and exceeds our needs. My husband and I highly recommend Gilchrist if you are looking to get into a new vehicle! We have nothing but good things to say about this dealership! Terrible service. Had my truck for 2 weeks in the shop. They said the part they were getting was from Texas but they didn't order it the day they found it. Called to ask a question amd was snipped at. When you call good luck getting someone to help as when I tried they would go out of there way to end the call with very little knowledge given to me about my truck. And the cherry on top after two weeks of not really knowing and paying over 2700 dollars I stood outside for 10 minutes for my truck. I would probably use them as a last resort Buyer be ware if you go there. I will add this is not the first time I have been strung along by this dealership.

I went in for an oil change. Usually they take about 50 min to and 80 min but this last time I waited for about 2 1/2 hours. I was late for work. Didn t expect that. They had no idea why services was taking so long. The only good part was that at the end they didn t charge me for the oil change. So that part was nice of them. But next time I rather pay for my services and be on time at work. FYI

Very disappointed not only did the make huge mistakes on my car but were dishonest and had my poor review removed. Came for oil change left with 1500. Damage to sun roof. A small plastic clip is all that needed fixed but lube oil filter guy forced sun roof to open and destroyed pre loaded roller. I disassembled entire interior ordered parts and reassembled. Shame on Gilchrist I want my 280. Diagnosis fee back

Service Department. Their mechanics are great, I haven't had any issues for years now since I started going there for work/maintenance on my car. No complaints for the workmanship of the mechanics that work there, they are just top notch, from oil changes, brakes, tires and exhaust etc. they know it all. I'm just at ease when I do business there, because I know they will do a good job

The Service Dept Rep was polite and professional. I received an update during the day on the status of the diagnostic check regarding the engine light, and was able to retrieve my truck well before closing time.

BEWARE! This dealer lists vehicles that they do not have and will lie and say they do have, just to get you to come in. Once you have driven all that way on your only day off, they will tell you it s my manager s fault! Now buy something that you don t want because we are liars.This is an illegal act, and you can be sure that the attorney general will be hearing from me! If they do this to you, be sure to let them know!This is why Tacoma has become a bad place, so many people are fine with treating people poorly.The add they used to lure me in, is still posted! They don t care about anyone and will do anything they can to lie!

Terrible service. I called a month ago because the tire pressure indicator light was on and was told to inflate the tires and wait a week or two. I did that and was then told to bring the car in. I made an appointment and went in 2 weeks ago to have the tire pressure sensor replaced and get my oil changed. They said they had the part so I took the car in and over 2 hours later I was told they were shorthanded and there was no one there to put in the sensor. I had to make another appointment which I did. I went in last Friday and was told this time that they had to order the part and that I had to make yet another appointment. To make matters worse, I went in with 1 sensor out and when I left, they were all out. I brought this up and they said that they tried to reset the sensors. I didn't appreciate that response. It seemed insufficient. The part cost $167.00 to replace according to the Gilchrist service department and I think they messed around zapping them over the two visits and ending up breaking the second sensor which I ended up replacing at another auto shop. I was very unhappy with the service at the dealership.

Our sales lady was Miya and she was nothing less than outstanding we have nothing but great things to say about her. The issue that we had that was so bad that we walked out. The sales manager was so unprofessional in more way than just one that we walked out. I would fire him. We went to another Chevy dealer the same day and bought the same car for cash.

Normally I have no complaints and everyone is very courteous. I did feel it took too long to do an oil change and replace a couple filters the last time I was there. It was almost 3 hours and they kept saying 15 more minutes every time I would inquire.

Ricky at Gilchrist Chevrolet is that man! His no pressure ,full disclosure demeanor and personality are a breath of fresh air in the car industry. He made my purchase of a used car the best I ve ever had! I ve purchased many vehicles and working with Ricky was like having a friend who works there experience! He s being promoted to sales manager for good reason. He really cares! He spent time buffing out a few scratches on my car himself!!! Don t believe it? Look at the pictures. Fast service appointment. But shocked to be charged for each diagnostic $200.00 and not be added to repairs.That quickly adds up. Also 3% charge for credit card payments. Adds up quickly. Makes me the consumer feel like you re just out for the $$$$.

Fair, honest for a dealership is hard to find these days. These guys are about the customer and not about how much money they can make. Very happy with the staff there.
