These guys are plain and simply the best in business. Came to them about a month ago to have 4 tires and wheels replaced after cracking my old wheels and damaging tires and they were amazing then but really blew me away today when I saw the same crew with the same awesome attitudes and amazing customer service, I damaged one of the tires I got last month and luckily got the discount tire warranty so replacing it was free, when I scheduled an appointment with Austin over the phone he was amazing, very informative and kind and when I came in for the appointment Ryan helped me with stellar customer service and the crew had my car in and out of the shop within 15 minutes which completely blew me away, I m going to be a discount tire customer for the rest of my life because of these guys and you guys should be too!

I walked in to get my tpms sensors initialized on my GR86 which just got new wheels and tires from Tire Rack. And I was absolutely impressed with the young guy that took care of me. Ryan was top notch. He knows his stuff. Very smart and knowledgeable. Quick on his feet and witty. Kind mannered and also funny! We walked outside with his scanner in his hand and in less than 5 mins I was back on the road. He truly deserves a raise because I WILL be coming back and I will be referring Discount Tire to everyone in my circles.

Great service! Easy to use with excellent prices. I compared to COSTCO and found that this was much better, and more convenient.Also, Joe who works there was super informative and taught me a lot about tires.Also also, if your tires are low on air you can just stop by anytime and they ll fill them- you don t even need to have bought your tires there.Obviously that worked on me because I soon thereafter became a customer.

I've been a Discount Tire customer for 30+ years.On 04/17/24 I took my vehicle in [~25 miles each way + bridge toll] for a tire rotation appointment [established by phone on the 15th, with rep mentioning my records in their system].When my turn came at the counter, rep had to go out to my car for something [e.g., check mileage ?]. When he came back in he immediately [before looking at computer] told me they couldn't rotate my tires because they were too old.WTH! Why did they waste my time checking the mileage, much less make the appointment in the first place and cause me to waste the 50 mile round trip, when their own records show the purchase date of the tires.After 30+ years, this foolishness leads me to *never* again do business with this store!BTW...If they had been professional and honest enough to tell me over the phone my tires were too old, I probably would have made an appointment to buy replacements at this store.Instead, they've lost a long time customer permanently.

Excellent customer service by all team members . Very friendly and informative. Did not try to sell items or pressure. My car went in for a 4 tire changes and was out in an hour. With no appointment. Tires are cheap awesome too. Highly recommend this pear location. 10 stars

Ultimately, I became a fan of this place. I was initially frustrated with this place. I kept getting different dates as to when my wheels would be in. It took almost a month. Apparently, my wheels were on backorder, and I wasn't informed. Fast forward the day they came. I was in the next morning as soon as they opened. I was given a discount because of the inconvenience, and I love my wheels. So worth the wait

Tom and Joe were real life savers. When you're living in your car, you NEED to be able to get around in it. They were incredibly insightful and compassionate to my situation and helped me get two new tires right under budget! I could not be happier with their service! Anytime I need tires I will be sure to come ask Tom for help at discount tires! I had called many places and all quoted me above budget but discount tires was able to work with me and I could not be more grateful!

I had a very good experience on Friday. I left work and noticed that my tire was nearly flat. I had aired it up that morning. When I arrived, it was 25 min past closing time. (I didn't realize because they were actively working still on other vehicles). I told Austin I would come back in the morning and asked if they could air up the tire in the meantime. During that it was assessed that my tire was a lost cause. I offered to come back in the morning or leave my car there tonight and catch a ride home. I live less than 2 miles away. Austin received the info and said, "Nope, let's do it right now."He understandably could have confirmed tomorrow, and it would have still been good and reasonable customer service. Especially since I arrived well after their operating hours. Instead, he insisted we get it fixed right now. I appreciate him and his team's willingness to help and everyone had a very positive attitude. I have bought all my tires here since I purchased my vehicle and will continue because of the consistent and elevated customer service. Thank you!

I normally come to this Discount tire and have had no issues. They are typically respectful, very understanding, and work with you to find the best options for your needs. I came in needing a tire plugged. The technician measured my tread depth and told me that my that my tread was in between 4/32 and 3/32. Their on paper recommendation is replacing tires at or below 4/32. I understand I need to replace my tires since they are in the replacement window. The technician told me that he legally cannot repair my tire if it is at 3/32. Clearly on the Discount tire website and pamphlets around their store it says they cannot service a tire at or under 2/32. The technician proceeded to try and sell me on replacing my tires, which would be a 1500 replacement. I don t appreciate that the technician tried to upsell me. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and just say he is incompetent but, that doesn t seem to be the case. In the end, I went to Lacey Discount tire and they assisted me with no problem. The Tacoma location no longer has my business because one technician was either incompetent or greedy.

All these reviews are fake. This place is nothing but bait and switch. I sent my daughter in to replace one bad Tire Sensor. They saw her in a nice truck.. and they tried to get everything they could out of her.. they said all of the sensors were bad and had to be replaced. (Untrue) She did agreed to replace them all.. but that wasn't good enough for these crooks. They came back 5 min later and tried to force her to buy four new tires sighting unsafe tread wear. Luckily she called me and I told her to leave ASAP.. I am sure they would have tried to get new wheels out of her after that. This place is nothing but punk kids doing punk kid stuff. Just take a look at the parking lot. Steer Clear.

Fast, friendly, clean, organized, informative. Needed new tires, they didn't have my size in stock. However, they were able to order them and get them delivered and installed same day. Nick and his associates were great to work with.

Usually, it is a 5-star experience, but on this occasion, not the case. I secured an appointment online, arrived on time, and they were running behind (it happens, I get it), and they told me they would text me when the work was completed. My 5yr old and I went McLenodans next door for 90mins. Finally, we walked back (visibly seeing my car was finished)and patiently waited for someone to acknowledge us (especially the guy that checked us in). After 10 mins, I finally flagged down another salesman and told them my car was done and needed my keys. I was handed the keys with no apology or reason why I wasn't texted.

Professionally fixed a flat tire that was not even purchased there. Everyone was courteous and caring. These guys have terrific customer service. I'll be back when I need new tires.

I called to ask torque spec on my wheels I got here because I had to take it off. It is97 ft lbs because they are aluminum. He kept trying to get me to do 155 which would have ruined my wheel.. I kept telling him that is for steel wheels. I called the other store in Tacoma they are way better my advice is avoid this location they have some shady people working there

Ordered some all season tires for the wife's Chevrolet Traverse. A tire was damaged in the shipping, so they sourced an even better tire and charged the same price AND kept the appointment. Great customer service and the job was completed ahead of schedule!

I went to this location last week because it was the only shop within 60 miles of me that had the tires that I wanted in stock - Pirelli P Zero AS Plus Elect.I've personally replaced 6+ different sets of tires in the last 3 years which were installed by other retailers, both small & large. I can say without a doubt that this is the best shop I've been to for tires.I was amazed at their efficiency despite being super slammed. The employees could give a Formula 1 pit crew a run for their money.A shout out to Tom who provided excellent customer service. He had several walk-in customers that needed help figuring out what was best for their vehicle, driving style, road conditions and most importantly, budget. It was nice to know that he understood the nuances with EV range and performance. He was patient and not intimidating in a 'know-it-all' sort of way which helped with the decision making process.Discount Tire at 1029 N Pearl St, Tacoma, WA 98406 will be my tire shop going forward.PSA - Save yourself a lot of time by purchasing and scheduling online. People waiting in line behind you will appreciate it too.

Thank you Discount Tire for doing what you do. You re at a point in your car build that you ve decided to get custom wheels. You re committed to spending over $1000+ for high performance tires to go with the new wheels so the next step is to find a reputable company who will take care of your new wheels during installation. Not only does Discount Tire offer the lowest price for what you re probably looking for, they have the technicians and machinery to ensure a flawless installation. You may also be in the situation where you ve spent quite a sum of money for new wheels and the last thing you want to do is damage them during a tire installation.So where do you turn to? Obviously, I hope you would do your due diligence and figure out how an installer is going to take care of your new wheels during installation. Discount Tire Center in University Place is a place I would recommend anyone who has aftermarket wheels that wants to ensure a surgical installation of new tires to maintain your pristine set up. You re going to want to talk to Brandon King (the store manager) and Bryce Siguenza (assistant manager) as they will ensure you are taken care of.Let me explain how they do this. I came to them with a new set of Ray Grams 57 CR lights and purchased Michelin Super Sports. The tires came in 3 days after I ordered them. The wheels are singled forged aluminum and the finish isn t as durable as steel. Their technicians have the experience to know these wheels are more susceptible to scratching and bending. This location also has a plastic duck head on the mounting machine. That s the clamp that gets inserted down between the wheel and tire that spins around the rim during the mounting and dismounting procedure. Also the clamps that attach to the wheel on the bottom to hold it in place are coated so there s no metal-to-metal scratching. They used the right amount of lubricant on the tire beads during the mounting process and placed some type of rubber condom on the hand-held bars when they were holding the bead in the drop center. Again this prevented metal-to-metal contact that would have surely ruined the face of the wheel. Lastly they used tape weights instead of the clip on weights to balance the tire. Obviously you wouldn t want a clip on the outside of the wheel because it would tacky and take away from the look. They even spray painted the tape weights to color match the wheel so it wouldn t be as visible and mounted the weights behind the spokes to hide them further. All and all, perfect set up. Thank you Discount Tires for hooking this up!

Never had a negative experience at this location. Brad provided great customer service and needs a raise! The Manager (forgot his name) is awesome too. The tire installers worked quickly and did NOT scratch my wheels. I have two discount tires that are close to me but I drive further because of the good quick service they provide.

DISCOUNT TIRE1029 N Pearl St, Tacoma, WA 98406I've always taken my car to Discount Tire around the nation. They always beat dealer prices, hands down, and always have high energy employees that are honest and open. I feel like that's a trade mark of the brand and feel no different about this location.The store is multicultural and has female employees and I feel respected as they offered fast resolution, great deals, and amazing service.I always recommend making an appointment as sometimes the wait for discount tires can be long but to me that just means there are tons of other customers that feel the same way.The fact that they're not in completion with other Discount Tire locations means if you have an odd size tire or rim that they'll try and find out for you and the fact that the employees all seem to actually like their job, even at its fast pace, means you'll wind up with a great experience despite any wait. They are trained to work with you whatever your price range is and I love the fact you can tell them your situation and they work to sell you a quality product, not stake up selling you vs. turning you away.Always get the warranty as the price is so worth it and the value is incredible if you experience any of the numerous things that could naturally happen to a tire.It feels great to acknowledge it wasn't my fault or theirs but a pothole only cost me 7$ for a replacement tire under warranty. Additionally, I don't normally want to think about my tires, so I'm glad when I come in I can get free air fill ups at any time and they'll check my threads honestly and quickly.I love the model and work ethic.Armondo and Katelyn helped me out today and I'll definitely be returning to this location.
