I had some damage to my front bumper and back bumper. Darnell's quotes were a fraction of the cost of two other reputable/well-reviewed auto body shops in Tacoma...and by fraction, I mean half the price.My car looks as good as new. The ultimate cost was their low point on the initial estimate they gave me. I have used them more than once and also referred them to friends who were very happy with their work as well.

I experienced a mixture of positive and negative with this place. I believe some of the negative was a lack of knowledge on my part of the mechanics of what body works and paint entail. The owner took real seriously my concerns and showed good efforts in as much as he got a man from metal magic to come see what he could do to take care of my issue. My problem was expecting more than the science of paint and body work could deliver. It was up to me to accept the limitations of what this shop could deliver and once I did I could comfortably accept the outcome of the man's efforts. Thank you sir for a job done as well as could be.

I highly recommend Darnell's. Doug is honest and thorough. Meinrkr told me I needed a new radiator for $1500. I towed it to Darnell's for a second opinion. He took the time to check my radiator and clean it. Found that a hose had a hole. So he replaced and charged about $325. His pricing has been reasonable compared yo other places. He also repaired my windows when they were broken into. He charged me less than other places. He always fits me in and I will only to them moving forward.

Doug and his staff are great! Their prices are super competitive. Our estimate through Darnell's was even lower than what the insurance Co. had estimated. This is a "no frills" shop, don't expect a fancy seating area or showroom. But their work is wonderful! Hopefully we don't need auto body service in the future, but we will surely use Darnell's if we do.

My Honda Civic had some fender damage that I thought would require the replacement of the fender. Doug made a recommendation that was a fraction of the anticipated cost. The workmanship was excellent and timing very quick. I highly recommend Darnell's.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

These guys are doing it right. It is not everyday that you come along a group of guys that are down right honest. I have had my mom's car in here twice (dont' ask) and my truck when they replaced the bumper. They are upfront and honest. Most of their work goes into body repair and paint now a days, but if you need something fixed these are your guys.Service: Painting

Had a minor fender bender which messed up my driver's side door handle (still functional), and then some jerk tried to break into my car by popping out the lock, which rendered the door unable to be opened.Doug was able to switch out the handle and get the lock coded to my key. Only took a day (after he got the part) and the price was very reasonable! He also got a few dents taken out as well.Definitely will return if I need it, and will recommend this place to anyone who needs auto body repair.

Darnell's offers 5-star service. Their work is impeccable. I first used this shop in 1988. I've been back a couple of times since. I even pop in there for something as simple as replacing a broken door handle. I recommend this shop, without reservation, for any auto body repair.

My car was shot with a BB gun and needed the rust scrapped out of the dent and painted over.The owner actually charged me less than he quoted me, which was very fair to start with. I will definitely go back if I need any auto body work done.

I've been going here for years. Both my personal and work vehicle (patrol car). Both insurance claims and minor damage that I haven't claimed on insurance. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The work he does is perfection; like new. They're all professional, courteous and prompt. Thank you Doug!

Darnell's fixed my 1968 Buick convertible. They took out the rust, straigthened out the previous bad body work, and gave it a beautiful paint job. I am a hard man to please and these folks amazed even me. Simply beyond my exapectations.
