Giving 2 stars because my first experience here was decent and the people were kind and reasonable. However, recently I had my car towed here due to it not starting, ultimately ended up only needing a battery replacement. They charged me $550 to diagnose the dead battery and place a new one which to me is ridiculous. Could've had that done any other shop for half the price. Definitely felt taken advantage of and person on the phone totally dismissed my request for an oil change that they did not do. I'm disappointed because as a returning customer I would think I would be treated fairly as I am giving you repeat business. This shop was recommended to me by a family member and I have to say neither me or my family will be returning here.

Great shop! Started doing business here because I couldn't find any other shops that would replace the differential on my truck. I've continued bringing all my vehicles here because they're very thorough, reasonably priced, and don't try sell me repairs I don't need. Always friendly and courteous. Highly recommend.

In just my first 2 interactions with this shop I feel I have found a shop I will give all of my automotive business to going forward. The employees are very personable and friendly, they give what seems to be very honest and reasonable estimates, not trying to up sell me or convince to to get unnecessary repairs.

I have had both a professional and personal relationship with Automotive Specialists.For years, I worked for a towing company that towed into the shop, as well as when one of our body shops needed mechanical work done on vehicles needing collision repair.Not once in 15+ years was I ever called to tow back a vehicle that had been repaired.Whether you talk to Troy, Chris, or Rory, you will be greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff that will do whatever they can to get you back on the road.When the owner of the shop I used for years decided to retire , I needed to find another shop for my automotive needs. It was actually a "NO BRAINER." Not one come back in all those years. Friendly staff. Honest and fair pricing. They even offer a shuttle service to make scheduling & dropping your vehicle for repairs or just a normal maintenance less stressful. When my clients need professional repairs but not at dealership prices, I will never hesitate to recommend Automotive Specialists!

We arrived at the garage shortly after new year s with a motorhome that wasn t getting any power. After some great investigative work from Josh and five days of hard grind we were back on the road and have now arrived in Arizona. Much thanks to Rory for getting us in last minute and Josh for all his hard work. I would highly recommend Automotive Specialists. Thank you

It's an amazing shop! They are doing work in one week, that you are waiting months to get done in the cities!! I can't say enough GREAT THINGS about the work & the workers at this shop.We will be back for our modifications that were suggested, thank you all!

Amazing experience with automotive specialists! It s hard to find a good mechanic you can trust when you have a diesel truck but I found my here with them. I was told my truck had serious problems and would take weeks to fix at a different shop. I came to automotive specialist and had my truck fixed in three days at a quarter of the price I was told elsewhere. Thank you so much for your services and for the friendly face every time I come in. This is my forever shop now .

This is the second time I have taken my pickup truck and entrusted it to their care. The engine was missing and instead of treating a symptom by replacing parts until it runs good again and charging for needlessly installing parts, they spent the time to find the actual cause of the problem and fix it. The first time turned out to be a hidden vacuumed line and a cracked insulator on a spark plug. It runs beautifully. They are honest and forthcoming about the repairs and their costs. Not the cheapest shop but I would not take my vehicles to any other business. Before they were recommended to me I tried another business. I am sold on Automotive Specialists and will be back.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We were leaving for our trip on a Sunday and a message on our RV dash said "No J1939 activity" with no visual to see shifting the gears or speedometer, clanking when changing gears just to mention a few problems. My husband went to the business Monday morning at 8:00 sharing our sad story about having to cancel our trip to Reno for Hot August Nights. They took us immediately to diagnose the problem. By 12:15, it was all fixed diagnostically with a fuse. They even test drove it. We cannot thank them enough for helping us. What wonderful service and concern for us. We just love these guys. We do a lot of business with them. Troy, Chris, Rory, Fred, and Frank are the people I see a lot of. It's nice to have great people to work with. You guys and gal are the best. Keep up the good work.

Don't use these guys. They were used by an autobody shop I took my vehicle to and they couldn't diagnose broken wires in a door jam and then they broke the door panels when they removed them because they removed all 4 door panels to try and say I needed all new lock actuators. If you want you vehicle more broken than when you took it in by all means use them otherwise I would suggest a different shop that cares about you as a customer and your vehicle.

Called and talked to Chris about having my spark plugs replaced. He was very nice and gave me the prices. Explained to him I had it diagnosed somewhere else. He seemed ok with it. When I got there the lady at the front desk was abrupt and not very friendly. When I told her I had it diagnosed else where she tried to convince me they needed to do it. I'm sure she was trying to sell me other services. Not keeping the car for long so not putting a bunch of money into it. She really needs to retire.Service: Auto engine tuning

Really... as good as it gets! This mechanic shop has been in my neighborhood forever, is family owned (2 generations) and, SHAME ON ME, I had never "checked" them out! I have found my cars' happy place! Their estimate was more than honest and they stuck to it! Some additional work was needed in the process, they called me, explained what was needed and got my approval BEFORE PROCEEDING. They did the work in the time frame they had set. The waiting / reception area was clean, welcoming and comfortable. Their front desk lady, Rori, is cheerful, welcoming and very helpful! Try them out! You will be happy you did! ~ Bill S., Tacoma

My diesel motorhome broke down and would not start for more than a few seconds. I called to verify the can service a motorhome and diesel and they can. I had the vehicle towed in on Monday afternoon and they called tuesday with the problem. Wednesday I was able to drive it home. Was expecting to have to wait several weeks but they were very efficient and very friendly. If I have to bring a vehicle in for service again this will be my go to. They did my brakes on my old Toyota several years ago. They were honest and didn't try to rip me off because I was a woman on my own. They also threw in a diagnostics test. I was very happy with the service.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Had an LX470 suspension conversion kit installed. The folks were great. So far my SUV is riding just like new minus the active suspect control. So, if I can get anther 30k miles of a comfortable ride I am happy.

I have relied on the qualiy of their work over 9 years. My truck is ready same day & its always returned in a much better condition. Not just the requested repair work (thats always been excellent) but the care given my truck as if it were their own. The rug place mats, wipe down of the interior, they even emptied the bed out. I live very close to A/S & on a very cold day this is what they did for a not needing repairs very often customer: I had a very flat tire caused by a careless construction worker (left very sharp screws in parking lot). They came & jacked up truck, removed tire, repaired tire, replaced tire, & removed jack. All for free!! I could give numerous reasons why U might think they did this but I believe it was done because they are just that quality of people. REALLY. I say that because every person I've met at A/S is professional & nice. I believe they would have done the same for anyone. I feel their work helps keep me safe in my wonderful 15 + yr old Ford truck!

I have an older vehicle (+30 years) and it was having some problems. I thought I knew what it was, but before I ran off and did the repairs I thought I should have someone confirm my suspicions. Took it into Automotive Specialists for a diagnostic. Diagnostic might have been a bit more expensive than other places, but I also didn't feel like I was at a shop out to screw me. This place had plenty of business, clean waiting rooms, bathrooms, TV, etc, so I felt it was maybe worth it to pay a bit more. Their diagnostic found something I wasn't expecting, and after I took the car home and applied a temporary fix to what they said the problem was, I discovered they were utterly, indisputably, 100% right. The car went from sounding like a Hefty bag full of old soup cans to quite as a hybrid. I'm happy I took my car here, them doing a correct diagnostic saved me a lot of time and money I would have spent otherwise fixing something that didn't solve the problem. I will be back, I am absolutely satisfied.

We have an old 1984 motorhome and when we first bought it on our way home with it, it died. So after we had it towed home we called Automotive Specialists and spoke with Chris. He was extremely helpful and very personable. He allowed us to drop off the motorhome after hours so they could work on it. They fixed it after about 2 weeks. Well, after all of that, there was still an issue so I called Chris and he told us to bring it back and it would be fixed free of charge since their diagnostic test should have caught the last issue. Now it runs great. These guys are very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it took so long to fix and they never called to let me know anything....I always had to call after days without hearing anything. Yes they were kinda spendy but honestly the customer service won me over. I will send anyone I know there and my future mechanical needs will be sent their way as well.

I had multiple problems left by another mechanic and an engine replacement shop. I went over all the problems with these guys and they sent me a quote by email. I dropped off my car and they gave me a ride to work. They fixed the problems that we went over and they also took notice of a couple of little things that I had forgot about like the loose radiator cap and a broken retainer pin in my drum brakes. They called and let me know the work was complete and then sent a car to pick me up at no charge. This was done in one day. The next day I had a couple other things I wanted completed. I had the same experience the next day too.First day I had rear wheel cylinder seal done, alignment, knock sensor, oil change, and tranny service.Second day I had bad O2 sensor, and AC repaired along with a couple other PM things they did at no charge.See ya on the go around guys. Definitely recommend this automotive repair shop. Decent prices and quality repair work done with the quickness. Customer service is excellent with assisting in understanding your repairs with straight up service they don't mess around they get the job done. I will continue to bring my car here without a doubt. Excellent repair shop highly highly recommended.

Where to begin! These guys are awesome! I was towed in from Hwy 18 with what I thought was just a bad alternator. It was, but it was because the coolant hoses were leaking heavily into the alternator! And the farther into they got, the more we found wrong (which, without boring you with the back story, ended up not really being a surprise). Since I am from Spokane, they ended up having one of their guys come in on their day off, just to help me make it back to the East side before I had to go to work on the following Monday! THAT is service!I did end up spending a hefty amount, but I would go to them again, no matter what. They are also AAA approved. All around great people.

Had my car fixed here after the first auto shop couldn't identify the problem. Staff was nice and professional. Quickly identified and fixed my car issues. This shop fixes all sorts of cars and trucks and super busy which is good sign they are good

My car's thermostat broke and i needed it fixed that day. I called around and Automotive Specialists had the best price, so i took my car there. Well lets say there was more wrong with my car then a thermostat.Anyways, they took me home with my 1 yr old son so i could talk to my husband. Had them replace my radiator and thermostat. The shop had it done before the end of the work day and they also sent one of their cars to pick up my son, my 5 yr old daughter, and I up from my house. This is a great shop and know how to take care of the customers. If you can go there and you wont regret it.

If i could give them a zero i would. I spent $5500 on "new" heads, and it broke down a month later leaking oil and they didn't even look at it i drove by everyday for two weeks and it didn't move from there "broke down" parking. They told me , now the bottom end is the problem. These people are scums. Highly do Not reccomend them.
