I want to thank A&E Automotive they got my suburban rear end done fast and when I thought my dodge magnum burnt wire harness was done for they fixed it no problem they are a great shop I recommend if you need work done

Best auto service in town! Quick and efficient. Their service technician, Derek, is the absolute best! He always goes above and beyond and they are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!!

This review is a couple months late, but I highly recommend A&E. Great family run, honest shop. My car had just driven across the country and started shaking anytime we accelerated, and they were able to diagnose the problem (a blown axle yikes!) and were very up front about any additional costs and problems they found and gave me options about how to proceed. It was a Friday morning and they worked hard to fit me in, and even stayed a little late to make sure my car was done by the weekend.Best prices and people and overall best auto shop in Tacoma! They were also very gracious with my mother in law calling to try to "help" with negotiating prices. A big thank you again!

I had a fix that needed to happen quickly. They were able to rush order the parts to be delivered in 30 min and I was on the road an hour later. Fast, professional service, friendly staff. 5* service and speed. Definitely recommend. Thank you A&E team! You saved my day!

Good old fashioned automotive service! Friendly, honest and quick. Couldn't be happier with the time it took them to diagnose and fix an issue with myidle air control. Will be a returning customer.

Charged me 200$ didn t even give me a diagnosis. Truck left in same condition it came. They didn t know what was wrong with it. Waste of money time and effort getting it towed there.

I went to this place for the first time with my old Dodge camper van. They took great steps in keeping me informed of what it needed and costs. The work was all done in a timely manner. I think they have a new regular customer. I like supporting the smaller local businesses. This is a very friendly shop. I would recommend them if you need some car or RV repair. Thanks folks for the knowledgeable and timely work.

I would tell anyone DO NOT EVER GO THERE!!!!! I took my cars there and I paid over 18000 dollars to fix every thing on my cars and put new clutch only to get back a car with no reverse .not able to sell or drive I paid them 10000 for one car and 8000to fix the other one and I feel like I paid for nothing .still can't drive it or resell it . so disgusted.and nausesServices: Transmission, Engine repair, Transmission repair, Auto maintenance

They serviced My 15 year old Mini Cooper. Very efficient and advised me about work that may be needed in the future. It is a family owned business and very friendly staff. Their total bill was reasonable and within the price range that I expected.

I needed my brake lights fixed, it wasn't a fuse. So I took in my Blazer and they fixed it up quick and had me on the road again! Fair priced. I will recommend them to friends and family. Thank you A&E automotive

It isn't often now a days that you find a repair shop that you can trust to have your best interest 100% without any worry.The staff are such a delight to deal with & treat your vehicle as their own. Nothing but the best quality parts as well as detailed & thoughtful work put into their jobs.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality shop to trust for years to come.

My family and I have been using A&E for all of our automotive service and repair needs for many years. Anything from oil changes to major repairs, A&E is the shop I always call and refer friends to. They are honest, professional, and provide excellent quality work at an exceptional value. 10/10.

I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else! Hard working people that understand you work hard for your money, they always charge me far less than anyone else in town quotes me and explain to me exactly what's going on with my vehicle in a way I understand. If you want a good deal and the work to be done right the first time then bring your car here!

Went in for maintenance and they handled my oil change extremely fast! Informed me of what I had to do for my vehicle to last longer and keep running smooth. Now I don't go anywhere else besides this place! Definitely visit and ask for Derek!

Went there for a pre buyers inspection, on went date on 03/16/2021. Upon completion, the mechanic assured me the vehicle was in great condition. He mentioned the only Thing he would recommend is I have the car serviced for oil change, and coolant flush, and sparks plugs, he stated which is common on cars with similar miles. He also recommended I replace the brakes. Front brake where at 40 percent. And rear brakes where about 10 percent. Based off the recommendations from this mechanic shop, I had the oil change and flush done with the dealership in which I was buying the vehicle. And I brought the vehicle back a day later to have rear brakes replaced at this shop location, as the shop advised. The shop completed the brakes, I also asked if they could check the fluids (coolant/oil), and make sure everything was Changes according. They assured the dealership did change the fluids, and assured me everything was ok with the car. I relied on what I thought was the expert / experience of a mechanic shop before proceeding with the purchase, because up Until this point I hadn t bought the car yet. I was waiting to buy until the vehicle was cleared by certified mechanic. A couple days after the purchase, I noticed car over heating, and draining coolant, which auto zone scan tool diagnostic as a faulty thermostat. When I went to this shop for this issue, i Was advised by the machine the car had a blown had gasket. I Was charged for another inspection, and they didn t even complete the work and change the thermostat like I asked. I wasn t going to pay for a head gasket lol. And all, The car didn t have a blown a head gasket. Thermostat was fixed by a different mechanic auto repair shop. Car works like charm. Just out 300.00 to be told false information by these guys. That s Like going to doctor for a common cold and being told it s cancer smh. Lol, just to find out you don t have cancer smh. Very misleading practices. Shady way to do business. Needed a quick look at my vehicle because I wasn't sure what was causing the shaking and noises. Derek spent a few minutes looking and shared exactly what the problem was! He was going on his lunch prior but decided to start repairs on my car instead. Now my car runs perfect and he checks in on me once a month to see how it's running! Best shop in the Tacoma area!

If you want something fixed and done correctly A and E is the place to be. They have been around a long time. A lot of the dealers ( New Cars Included) up and down South Tacoma Way bring their hard to diagnose problems to Rick. So if you have a broken shock that needs replaced or some repair that someone else has quoted you lots of $$$ to "maybe" fix. Don't gamble... Just take it to Rick and Company they will be thorough and fair. (p.s. I work for a large dealership and they do all my work on my personal cars) (12 months later) Just left A and E again. They did a front brake job on my wife's car. I was on limited time and had to wait. 1 hour in and out. They knew I was coming. The parts were already there. Thanks Rick and Lisa. Nobody does it like you guys do!

This place is too expensive and doesn't know how to treat their customers . I paid for a diagnostic test and they made me buy the part I needed. I took my car to them because it wouldn't start. They said if I get a new battery it will start. After I got a new battery it wouldn't start. Don't trust these guys and they wanted to charge me $1100 just for spark plugs and coils. I wouldn't go here if it was the last place in Tacoma.

Best car repair place I've ever been to. Not only was the repair faster than expected but the added bonus was that it was cheaper than expected. Most definitely my place for car repair from now on. Plus the people are super nice.

It was my first time working with A & E Automotive Repair and I was impressed by their level of care and attention to detail. They even stayed open a little late for me so I could pick up my car. Would highly recommend.

Work was done on time but salesman who arranged the repair got the city we were coming from wrong twice. Almost had to reschedule but at last minute, they were able to work is in. It was a long drive from Forks. Wish the dealership could have arranged to have the work done closer to Forks.
