I purchased a car 2 weeks ago. Sales wasn't pushy and had very good knowledge of all my questions because I did my own research before arriving. Decent $ on trade in. There was a miscommunication on the things that we negotiated but Chris the manager made it right. Overall great experience. Clean office area, Friendly staff and 5 star rating. Start to finish was maybe 3-4 hours including long test drive and demo of vehicle options. I'll be back when I get a truck. Thanks Sunset for an easy, stress free time.

Visited multiple times in 10 years trying to figure out why I go through a new battery every few months. According to Sunset Ford, there's absolutely nothing wrong with my car. It was just a dud battery (13 times). They wanted $2k to change the battery yet again (not counting all the previous times I've paid for diagnostics). I told them, no my battery is still under warranty at the auto parts store. When I took it back to the auto parts store, the employee explained it was a rather obvious problem that any 1st year mechanic should be able to diagnose. He showed me the $5 fix, but then he even waived the $5 because he said they should have caught it last time. Sunset doesn't care about you or your car. They're only in it for the money. Save yours and try YouTube.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Sunset Ford, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. My sales representative, Tomari, took the time to understand my needs and preferences. He was patient, attentive, and never made me feel pressured to make a decision. His professionalism truly made the car-buying process a breeze. The finance process was also smooth. The staff at Sunset Ford made sure to explain all the details clearly and answer any questions I had along the way. They were efficient and organized, making the paperwork quick and painless.Overall, the entire team at Sunset Ford was friendly and welcoming.

My 2020 Ford Explorer out of no where started to act up when I would go between 20-40 mph in town and the in Freeway up to 60mph. My parents were 100% sure it was the transmission. Since they had a bad experience with their 2012 Ford explorer regarding the transmission. I went to the dealership to the service area. A lady (Asian or Philippine) took me and I explained to her the issue and how is this happening when I just purchased it in October of 2023. Not even 6 months with the car. The lady was extremely rude and careless. She gave the worse service ever. And she was giving me an appointment date til the end of March like expecting to drive my car like that risking it to get even more damaged. I left so mad but decided to go straight to the Receptionist. She was so sweet and listened to my problem and got me a manager right away. I spoke to the manager Steve. I explained the situation with tears in my eyes because this car was literally recently purchased. He listened and without a hesitate or doubt he took my car in and gave me a rental in the meantime and had my car fixed within a week. And it was the transmission as we suspected that blew out. And Steve didn't make us pay a dime! He was so wonderful and gave the most amazing customer service ever!

Had warranty work done and the staff and techs were fantastic. Dropped the truck off the night before and they finished up in a timely fashion and promptly called to let me know it was done. Everyone was friendly and efficient. I will be going back when I need work done.

Service Manager was helpful. This dealership seems to be schedule-challenged, however. Why insist that your customer be there for an appointment at 8:15AM if they won't be able to get to your vehicle until late afternoon? Inspection was helpful but lacked detail. What ever happened to the 32 point inspection where they would show you a checklist of which systems were good and which service items were recommended?

When I was looking for a new F350 power stroke I checked several of my local dealers and became frustrated with their inventory. I called Sunset, Ford which is an hour away from my house, and they had two vehicles that were exactly what I was looking for. When I arrived, they had the two trucks set side-by-side so I could compare, I chose the one I wanted went for a test drive with Craig Johnson. All in all, it was a very pleasant buying experience. I was impressed at how smoothly and quickly the purchase was made. Thanks again to the crew at Sunset, Ford.

I was scheduled to take my bronco in for recall updates, but they couldn t get me in for several months. Then out of the blue, they called me and said they have a mobile tech that could come to my house and do the corrections right away. I jumped at the opportunity and the technician they sent was top-notch. He had it done in 15 minutes. I really appreciate them being able to do this for me.

Where do I begin on this communication failure situation. I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change at 9am. 45 minutes later, it was done; sounds routine but was far from it. I no more than got up the 410 hill into Bonney Lake and found smoke coming out of the engine and smelled it burning through the vents. So I turned back around and brought it back to Sunset.Communication failure #1- The staff took it back in and then came out 30 mins later to say the technician spilled oil on the intake and attempted to clean it up but didn t get it all ..they took my vehicle for what would be a couple hours to detail my engine bay and make sure it was good to go. So why not do the right thing first and tell me before I leave with the truck and make the situation right at the start?Sunset gave me a rental cool, doing their best to fix the problem and recover the situation, right? That s where it gets worse..Communication failure #2 - Having heard nothing all day for their couple hours detail , I called them after my work day at 4:15pm to find out what was going on..only to hear that they wanted to keep it overnight..again, why did I hear nothing back well prior to 4:15pm and Sunset didn t proactively update me as a customer throughout the day?Communication failure #3 - at 11am the next day, Sunset calls me and lets me know the truck is ready for pick up and the engine bay was detailed . I picked up my truck, popped the truck hood to see what was detailed and do a QC of what Sunset did and to no surprise, all they did was wipe most of the residual oil off and leave it as it was..dusty and all. I guess my expectations of a detail was to completely clean the engine bay like actually washing it..but that was not it.Essentially, my experience says that Sunset service is poor in proactively communicating, poor in reporting safety issues before they occur to their customer, and poor in making the situation completely correct as a detail to them meant different to them than their customer.

Bree was great! Personable and informative! Work was done quickly and the info sheet provided was good to have to understand my vehicle even more. Service area was clean and easy to access. Very safe as well. Thank you!

Sunset Ford is the best dealership we ve worked with in the state!! We ve purchased two trucks here with the assistance from Joey Brumley. He s the greatest!! I m almost sad that our 2024 Ford F350 is our retirement truck so won t have the opportunity to come back unless the need for that new Mustang or Bronco kicks in! Thank you Joey and Sunset Ford!!!

The staff and service department treated myself and my truck with fantastic service. The tech went above and beyond to remove bolts that normally are seized and require the replacement of the manifold. This effort saved me at least $1500 for the part if I remember correctly from the quote. Tammy at the service desk was honest and upfront about the potential issues they have with this repair. The work was done ahead of time, 3 days ahead. Most impressiveServices: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust

Dealership was OK. Service was a huge ripoff. Charged me for a diag. Got it wrong. They came up with "highly modified", remove after market equipment, retest. It has a lift, remote start, and a light bar. All of which it came with when purchased from the dealership. Aftermarket warranty wouldn't cover any of it.Didn't sound right to me. It had performed flawlessly for months with the same equipment. Sounded like a guess to me. I took it elsewhere.Turned out was a lose connector in c pillar from the factory. Shop I took it to had it pin pointed from the get go. And for less than what I paid Sunset to tell me the truck was broken. I'm sure the service dept would've been fine with keeping it for weeks and absolutely bending me over. Not going back. Ever.

I recently moved to the Sumner/Bonney Lake area and therefore scheduled my first service at Sunset Ford. After having a few things looked at, I had a repeating mechanical issue with my F-150 after leaving the dealership. Fortunately, I had Scott and Rob as representatives of Sunset Ford who remained committed to resolving the issue. Having a repeating issue occur and having your vehicle in and out of the shop can be frustrating. And it was to an extent. However, I was beyond impressed with the determination to get the issue resolved, which it eventually was. I will definitely return to Sunset Ford again. I believe Rob is an amazing service manager who made me feel like an important customer and that everything would be made right. Thank you, Scott, Rob, and the Sunset Ford team!

I was very dissatisfied with the communication and service that I received from Sunset Ford. I usually take my truck to Bowen Scaff in Kent but since I'm new in the area I thought I'd try somewhere closer. The misinformation and updates about my truck were terrible. When I received my truck back there was grease on the steering wheel and the clean up where they worked was unacceptable. I can honestly say I will probably not return.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS PLACE!!!I bought a truck 2 months ago from sunset ford in sumner. Took it to a mechanic to make sure the truck was running as good as the salesmen said it was. Mechanic didn t find anything . (Great mechanics these days)So I bought the truck. After two weeks of driving the truck I started smelling oil burning and noticed the truck would shift weird from time to time. I ended up finding an oil leak on my own on the engine pan and called to have them fix the In excellent condition truck they sold me. They ended up having to replace the transmission & repair oil pan leak. I got my truck back after waiting nearly a month for them to finish repairs. Two days after getting my truck back I started smelling burning oil again and what do you know the engine oil pan is leaking again. What a joke.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING from this place it s been nothing but a headache and the service team is very stuck up along with the sales team. Probably because they sell so many bad trucks and cars they get to see the bad side of people all the time.

Took my truck into Sunset Ford for a leaking oil pan and valve covers. Was told oil pan is fine and just needed valve covers replaced. They told me it was ready a few days later and I picked it up only to have the check engine light come on within 20 miles of driving. The technician forgot to plug in the waste gate on the passenger side turbo which set off 2 codes. I also found the PCV not connected to the driver side valve cover and part of the engine harness not secured to the upper intake plenum. Good thing I have years of experience in the automotive industry and was able to fix it myself without having to go back and deal with them again and waste my time.

We took advantage of the free oil change that came with the purchase of our diesel truck. We live far from the dealer, but it s worth the drive for this expensive service. They got us right in and back out in 45 minutes from check in to check out.

I dropped off my 2011 ford crown victoria with Sunset Ford because my air conditioning was stuck on. Fan motor worked fine and all functions worked, just no heat. Ford had made the panther (crown victoria) platform from 1979 to 2012 and they all came with heaters. I figured this was a slam dunk for a Ford dealership. The first time Sunset told me my car was fixed, I picked it up and the blower motor didn t work. You would think they would have tested it. I m $1600.00 in the hole at this point. Second appointment I am charged $275.00 for a new blower motor, pick up my car and I have no window defroster, the air only blows out the vents in the front of the dash. Appointment number three Sunset wants another $1600.00 to fix the air box behind the dash. I politely explained everything worked when I dropped my car off the first time and was told my car is old with a lot of miles and the service manager insinuated that I knew the car had problems and was shopping around to blame a dealership. To say I was insulted would be an understatement. At this point I m not giving Sunset another $1600.00 to fix what they quite possibly damaged and asked for my money back to get my car fixed at another dealership or fix my car at no more cost to me. They countered with splitting the cost of the next repair that might be $1600.00, could be more. I had already given Sunset three chances to fix my car, I cut my losses and walked away. Every morning I have to make sure all my dash vents are closed so I can kind of have a defroster, I have to keep one hand on the rotary control of the blower because it won t hold a setting, and I have to live with the control head recessed in the dash about a quarter inch because the tech didn t put it flush when he reassembled my dash. My car is worth less because it does not function properly and I am out over $1800.00 to Sunset to make it that way. Maybe other customers get great service from Sunset ford, but please learn from my experience. My car was never repaired and Sunset milked me like a cash cow.

It takes too long to get scheduled for an oil change. Customer service could be improved when needing to schedule.

I took my 2 vehicles to Sunset for service this week. I had a great experience both days that I was there. Everyone was courteous and took care of my needs in a quick and timely manner. I especially commend Tammy for explaining all work done and by escorting me out to show me where my vehicle was parked. I have been to a couple other Ford dealers for services in the past 40 years, but there is no comparison to Sunset. I am happy my wife and I chose them to purchase our new vehicle last year and now can enjoy my service visit s going forward. Keep up the great work!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change
