This is an updated review:Unfortunately I feel I was taken advantage of at this establishment. After admittedly just "googling" my car symptoms and asking a couple of people with more knowledge than me regarding motors, I came up with a diagnosis of "blown gaskets" before bringing my vehicle in. It was only after three thousand dollars of work that I was given the same diagnosis here and advised of an additional ten thousand dollars of work that would be needed which is more than the value of the vehicle. They are otherwise great with follow up and communication but I can unfortunately no longer recommend them.

Very happy with the service I recently received from Advanced Automotive. I took my Jeep there after getting a quote from the dealership that seemed really high. I felt Josh and his team were very knowledgeable, addressed my questions and concerns thoroughly and didn t pressure me to get work done that wasn t needed. I received such great customer service that I referred my parents, sisters, and boss to Josh for their service needs. There is no one else I would trust to work on my vehicles.

My experience with Advanced Automotive was a positive one, from start to finish. I brought in my vehicle for an oil change and they actually shuttled me back to my home on Camano. They informed me my vehicle would be done in the early afternoon, however they called me 2 hours later and said my vehicle was done and brought out the shuttle right away to pick me up. Brendan, the shuttle driver was so personable and a pleasure to talk to. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed they professionally washed my vehicle (I just got back from a vacation, and it had so many bugs on the grill). They always give me a 5% discount because I am an educator. I recommend using Advanced Automotive 100%.

Nice repair and maintenance shop. Busy all the time. Long lead time for appts. However, I ve been pleased with overall work, and pricing is fair.

I have finally found a mechanic I trust in these folks. Very honest and knowledgeable. I feel like my car is in good hands with these folks. I'm a diehard Volkswagen guy, and these folks know Volkswagen!! I'm so happy I heard about them and they did not disappoint.

This Company installed new brakes on our Lexus and after a two hundred mile trip THEY FAILED Yes they did replace the brakes with AFTER MARKET BRAKES !!!! after four months they totally failed again We had our Lexus delivered to the LEXUS dealer ship in Bellevue and there certified Service Dept found that Advanced Automotive installed incorrect brake pads and calipers made in China. After a over $600 dollar total replacement front brake job of which Advanced way over charged my wife I contacted the Washington State Attorney office and they said for me to present the full repair bill to the owner of Advanced Automotive and demand that they pay for this work in full if they gave me any guff that the Attorney Generals office would file claim on them The owner reluctant to pay did however write me a out a check in full.After talking to my neighbor in Driftwood shores she also told me that she had major problems with repairs done on her Jeep at Advanced Automove. If you live on Camano Island as we do I highly recon-men not to take your car here EVER!!Everett Johnson and Lise Corriveau Driftwood Shores

Please don't expect professional service from this shop. Brought in my pickup to have my trans diagnosed. They guessed at the issue from the 3 point line and didn't do any decent diagnostic work on it before hand. Instead of telling me they couldn't fix the problem they ran up a $1400 bill by tossing parts at it and hoping something would work. and I now get to fix the problem myself with $1400 less to do it with. I gave them 2 stars because at least their staff was polite while I was getting screwed.

The service was professional, pleasant, timely and affordable. The technicians knew what they were doing and completed the repair expertly. To whom this may help going forward:I'm not sure where to start. Advanced Automotive has provided the best service I've ever received when it comes to getting my vehicle worked on. I own a 2000 Audi B5 S4 if anyone is familiar with these cars they are very high maintenance but very fun cars. When I called Advanced Auto Josh the owner greeted me he was very friendly and knowledgeable, I brought the car in with a laundry list of items that needed to be addressed. Josh kept me informed throughout the entire process and called me every time they found an issue or they had an update on the car. After getting the car back Josh followed up with me to make sure the car was running good and making sure there wasn't any lingering issues I was unaware of. If anyone is looking for a quality shop who takes care of their customers for a more than fair price than you have found what your looking for here at Advanced Auto. Once again big shoutout to Josh, Marshall and the team over at Advanced Auto I cannot thank you all enough!

My 2018 Pilot popped 5 critical codes, brought her in for diagnostics. These folks went the extra mile to troubleshoot, finding the issue and then contacted the Burlington Honda Service shop when their research found a known issue covered under extended warranty repair for the fuel injectors which caused the issue. This made the repair free of charge for me with minimal cost at the Advanced shop for the diagnostics/research. Additionally, Advanced made sure the parts necessary were on hand with the dealer service center for the fix when I scheduled with their service center. These folks can be trusted with your rig and will make the time to answer any and all questions to your satisfaction. Good, clean, honest shop.

Josh was great in getting my truck scheduled into the shop during what was a very busy week for them. They got the truck done just in time for a road trip we were taking. Josh even followed up with me a few days later to see if everything was to my satisfaction. That's unheard of these days. Had them look at and quote work for repairing my Subaru head gasket among other repairs. They quoted me half the price the dealer did and even squeezed in more required repairs. They did the repairs in a timely fashion and even had everything lined up before I dropped off the car. The final cost was almost exactly what they quoted. No unpleasant surprises! They also followed up after I picked the car up to make sure everything was working well. Would recommend.Service: Engine repair

I scheduled an oil change and transmission service with this business two weeks in advance. When I dropped my car off at the scheduled time on 8/19 I was told they only had me down for an oil change. When I scheduled I did it in person with the same person who I dropped the car with. This told me this business is unorganized and unreliable if they can t properly schedule agreed upon work. They do not value their customer s time at all. There s no way I would allow them to put a wrench on my car if they can t even get the easiest part done correctly. I like supporting local businesses but I will not be supporting Advanced Automotive in Stanwood, Washington.

Expert mechanics, great customer service!We ve been taking our vehicles to Advanced Automotive for several years. Their team of expert mechanics has provided excellent care. During routine maintenance, they go beyond what we expect, and make sure no other problems are developing. Communication by the office staff is great. The charges are always discussed prior to doing any repairs or extra work. You're a fool if you aren't using these guys for your automotive needs. The customer service is phenomenal. The mechanics KNOW their stuff. An they have never tried too pull a fast one on me. These guys have saved me money time and time again. I would like to take this opportunity to compliment Advanced Automotive, Josh, Alisha, and their entire staff. From pre-purchase inspection to oil changes to battery installation, and most recently a front wheel bearing replacement, I have always been treated courteously and fairly. Before starting the repair, they provide an estimate so there aren't any surprises. I have, at times waited while the work is performed and am very impressed with how their business operates. They are all friendly as well as professional. The work is always started and completed on time along with a complimentary vehicle wash. Advanced Automotive is not your stereotypical repair shop. I leave there feeling I have been treated fairly, the work done properly, backed by a strong warranty. They even provide a shuttle service. Highly recommended.

When we moved up to Camano Island full time almost six years ago we had to find a good car repair shop. I decided to try Advanced Automotive. We haven t gone anywhere else since. I have been very pleased with Josh and his team. In those six years we had a lot work done to four different cars. They use quality parts while still working hard to save on cost. For me more than anything is trust, and how do they react when things don t go right. I always feel like they have done everything they could to repair my cars with quality parts and workmanship while still getting me the best price they can. I have recommended them to quite a few people and will continue to do so.Roger Williams

I would like to say that if you are a car person to an obsessive level, that you can and should trust Advanced Automotive. I am fairly new to the area and I am always very leery when it comes to choosing a shop to even so much as touch my vehicles. I obsess over the little things and it is hard to find a shop that cares about you and your vehicle to a similar level as yourself. Let me say that Advanced Automotive cares more than just about any other shop I have ever gone to. They are extremely courteous and kind, very professional and most importantly, very respectful of their clients vehicles. They even called me a day or so later to check in and make sure I was satisfied.I had my car dropped off to have some aftermarket suspension put on it as well as get an alignment and they went above and beyond at making me happy as a customer. Every time I called them they answered the phone with eager attitudes and made me, the customer, feel like I am valued by their business- which sadly does not occur enough in our modern day. I really cannot say enough good things about Advanced Automotive and if you are also very cautious when it comes to trusting shops with your vehicle, I assure you that you can trust these folks to take great care of you and your car.I highly recommend Advanced Automotive in Stanwood, Washington for fellow BMW owners and automotive enthusiasts.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Josh was upfront and honest. Very reputable. Took my 2002 Volvo S80 and Advanced Automotive had no issue. Even though my car has 200K on it, Josh told me what other faults there may be and what future item I should replace. Josh even followed up with me a few days later to see how my car was running. I've been a return customer of AA for many years except during a four year period when I owned a new car. Since I know nothing about car mechanics I have always felt my heart pounding and a sick feeling in my gut when the repair shop calls to tell me that they found numerous urgent repairs and the initial estimate would be at least twice as much! Not so with AA. When I tell them the symptoms of the car they do a very accurate job of predicting the trouble and the cost of the repair. They also used the parts I purchased and just charged for labor as I found out when my son said he would flush my car's coolant and replace the spark plugs then he got called to work in Utah. I only recently found out they had a shuttle service--since my son could not drop off/pick up. That was fantastic and timely! The staff are always cheerful and attentive, they listen to their customers needs and financial limits and do what they say will do at a reasonable price and within the time frame they promise.

They did a great job. Never a battery replaced and made an appointment. My work scheduled me during the appointment so I called them the day before and they got me right in and replaced it short notice. Did a follow up call even to make sure I was happy. Great service

I would give 10 stars if I could. Any time I've had a situation that required advanced automotive it's been wonderful. They are thorough and even answered all of my questions. (Thanks again, Josh!!) Also very understanding that I couldn't quite make the same sound as my car was, because I did try!Will absolutely return and continue to be a customer! The main complaint that I have is that we had a long wait to get our Jeep fixed.When we picked up the Jeep after having the water pump replaced the belt was squealing when the AC was turned on. We took the Jeep back and picked it up the next day. The technician admitted that the problem was because the serpentine belt was not threaded through the pulleys properly. I found this level of honesty refreshing and it confirms my feeling that Adavnced Automotive is a fair an honest shop.We will be coming back to your shop for future repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Advanced Auto is the only shop I will ever take my car to. Always polite and on schedule. They have specialists for all makes and models and can sort out your vehicles problems quickly! Very fair on price and very high quality work. I never have to worry about scratches, dents or dings, as their mechanics are very professional and love what they do. If you need a good shop that you can trust for life, look no father than Advanced Automotive.

So far the only service I have used them for is oil changes, but I have been pleased with the work they have done. They charge a fair price and take the right amount of time to get the job done. They have always been very pleasant to deal with and always cleaned up my vehicle after themselves (no grime on my interior/steering wheel, or oil on the exterior or engine block, etc).Based on my experience with them, I will take my vehicles there for mechanical work when I need it.

The team over at Advanced Automotive is far and away the best group of auto professionals I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. The work quotes for my project vehicle were fair and honest, and the communication throughout the entire process has been fantastic. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, and the customer service is top notch. Alisha has been FANTASTIC, walking me through the work every step of the way. She really went above and beyond my expectations. And a big shout out to Gary as well, who has been performing most of the work on the vehicle. I will never take my Vanagon anywhere else! :)

I had a power steering unit quit working on my car. Took it to Advanced Automotive and they got my car right in. It was only a missing drive belt, and they quickly repaired that. This is the second time I have had work done here. They are always professional, courteous, and very fair on their repair charges. I will ALWAYS come to Advanced Automotive to get work done on my cars!
