I had a wheelbare and go out on my trailer. So I had to leave it until the next day. It was still there. Thankfully, and I still had all my wood on it. I called 511 to let him know what was going on. So the state patrol won't tow it. It was quiet but busy. And on my trips back and forth i've actually stayed and slept here

The rest area is a welcomed oasis for tired travelers! Conveniently located along the highway, it offers a much-needed break during long journeys. The facilities are well-kept and clean, providing a refreshing pit stop for restroom breaks and relaxation. The serene surroundings and scenic views create a calming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a packed meal or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. While there may not be staff present, the rest area is well-designed for self-service, making it a convenient spot for quick rest breaks. Whether you're on a road trip or looking for a peaceful spot to rest, this rest area provides a convenient and enjoyable respite on your journey.

We used this area for a quick bathroom stop and I was surprised at how scenic the area is. I believe there are trails for walking and exploring. The view was amazing from just on the other side of the bathrooms. You can see for quite a distance over the lake and hills. This is a great rest area. It is also pet friendly.

This rest area has some beautiful walking paths that provides views of a desert-like landscape with a meandering river. It's quite picturesque and provides an ideal spot to stretch your legs with a walk along a trail. The landscape views are scenic and calming (see pics). This rest stop is one of the last rest areas before arriving in Spokane (if you're driving east), and provides a perfect spot to get outside and walk around a bit.

Great rest stop with lots of picnic tables, good bathrooms and fantastic views. Take the time to walk the length of the rest stop park, you will see more. The lake that is there was made by a glacier.Plus for those of you interested there is a hidden Geocache and a Earth Cache to do.

Overall very clean. Nice views, coke machines. Two sides of toilets per gender, so a lot of space. Kept heated during winter.

Beautiful rest area to stop at. There is a trail around the perimeter of the rest area from which you can see the lake with the canyons and hills between the lake and the rest stop. You can also see the highway running through the hills.

Nice clean rest area that has a friendly volunteer run coffee counter. A nice walking trail and pet area for your dogs. Beautiful views at both ends of the rest area. The cemented trail loop will take you from one to the other.

One of my favorite rest areas. I jog up the gravel road and there is a good chinup tree near parking lot.

Visited March 2024. Dump station is open and easy to access. Far right lane as you exit the rest stop.

Pleasantly surprised. For a pit stop, this site is clean, spacious and well stocked. Appreciated on this snowy day. A model for all other WA rest stops. Beautifully maintained overlook to lake with spacious pet area.

Well kept Grass as well as clean restrooms. Garbage cans were all full or I would have gave a 5 star. Love the view even with the wildfire smoke. Walking trail and pet area. Nice place to picnic and stretch your legs. Last rest stop before Spokane while heading Eastbound

Beautiful scenery and lots of grass and picnic tables. The bathrooms were alright for a rest stop. There was a wonderful pair of volunteers offering free coffee and cookies, which was a lovely gesture.

Pretty clean for a rest stop. Parking lot full of truckers. Better then driving tired. Yes they have 3 pop machines but come on man. Who wants to pay 2$ for a pop. That s not right. Though the machine will take your credit card. I see why the machine says thank you on it.

BE AWARE: BAD bathroom design, there are skylights above each toilet and the angles are such that it is possible to see the reflection of stalls (and people) on either side.

It's a rest area and it served its purpose. Bathrooms were ok, there's some picnic tables out back overlooking an arm of Sprague Lake. Lots of seagulls.

How cool is this. A beautiful rest stop EB on I-90 heading to Spokane, WA and they have a FREE dump station and then a drinking water fill station as you exit the rest area to the right, for RV's and travel trailers.

An unstable male with a gun threatened to shoot our pup today; a baby Pointer Hound who was on leash but got away after I dropped it picking up something and he jogged towards another dog and wanted to play. Our pup stopped by voice command [his tail was wagging and he was not growling or barking] and was over twenty or more feet from the individual who then threatened multiple times; I can't breathe or write about it I saw him get shot the individual had his hand on his gunThere needs to be more control at this rest area due to dangerous people stopping thereEveryone that was there left and no one called 9-1-1After talking to some individuals who own local businesses about it we were educated that shooting dogs is not uncommon in the area, and that law enforcement is part of the problem; the individual at the sheriff's office said he threatens to shoot dogs all the time; aggressive or not.Sick; demented, deranged

The restroom itself was clean and taken care of. The grass outside the bathrooms are trashed, dirty boxers and underwear and socks and I know this is the disgusting humans fault. Community can't keep up with people who trash places.

It is a good place to rest but more bathrooms need to be in use.
