I took my son here to buy a 2023 Yahmaha R7. When it came time to do the recommended oil change to change the break in oil, my son had them do the oil change. Apparently, they forgot to add oil back into the motor and let my son son ride away like that. A few days later, my son started to complain to me that his bike felt a bit sluggish and just started to make some kind of ticking noise. I had him come back home since he was only about a mile away, putting gas. I heard the noise and checked to see if any check engine lights were on, but none were. I checked the oil window and couldn't see any oil. I felt and looked under the bike for any oil leaks, and it wasn't leaking any oil. We called Westside, and they came and picked up the bike. They said it had blown a rod and that my son must have been riding it hard and burned up all the oil. Nice way to throw the blame on my son instead of accepting blame for their mistakes. They've had my sons bike for over 3 months now, and I continually get a run around every time I call and try to find out what's going on. My son has been making payments on a brand new bike that he doesn't even have in his possession. No loaner bike was offered. My son has lost out on riding this season due to the dealerships mistake.

About 4-5 years ago I took my 2005 Yamaha V Star 1100 to West side to have the carbs rebuilt. The bill was almost double the quote of $300 to $400 because they said they had to change the oil and, plugs. It didn t run right. I went back before I even got to I-90 and said it s not right. The mechanic took it for a ride and said it was fine. I took it back again about a week later and complained about it backfiring, no power and hard starting, again they said it was fine and like an idiot I put up with it. About a month ago I took it to.MASH, they rebuilt the carbs and said there was a diaphragm that was installed wrong and pinched. Now it runs like the day I bought it. DO NOT GO TO NORTHSIDE, GO TO M.A.S.H.

Well I didn't give them a 1 star because they are not as bad as cals auto but the reason for my rating is to hopefully get them to realize that when a couple comes in to look at what you are selling. Maybe you should engage in conversation with both parties and not wait until the last 20 seconds of the interaction to be interested in finding out what the name of the other person in the group. Were you knowledgeable, yes. Could you answer questions and drive home how many discounts you have available, again yes. Only until your coworkers are asking me if I needed any help did you get with the program and acknowledge I was even there, totally not acceptable. I get you sell off road vehicles, motorcycles, and jet skis and typical buyers are male. Yet if you encounter a couple maybe you should consider both are interested in obtaining knowledge for the purchase.

I've been updating a 35 year old vintage 1983 XL200R Honda enduro that I will be taking on a southwest road trip soon. So I've been ordering and purchasing parts from Westside to bring it up to date. It's been about 40 + years since I rode and/or worked on a Honda XL enduro. The last one was an 1972 XL250 that I bought new! The folks in both parts and service have been excellent with advice, knowledge and service. Westside's pricing has also been competitive with on-line part vendors. I just hope the ol' boy (the XL200R) won't strand me out in the desert for something I didn't replace!! Thanks again! Thanks Todd, Mercedes, Rob, Cameron and Grant.

Had my bike a local "shop" they ordered parts from Westside and after doing my own research I didn't feel I needed the part. I paid my shop bill and a $20.00 dollar restocking fee on a $80.00 dollar part. I called Westside parts about a week later because I was bringing my bike to a different shop, I just wanted to make sure they still had the part in stock just in case it was needed. It took over 4 days to get a return call and they even had to nerve to call the 1st shop I had my bike at and told them I called!?! WOW super unprofessional!!!!

Not service...but sales. Google wouldn't let me change it.I had this problem last time I went to purchase a bike, I figured a new helmet would be easier. They have no sales person to help with any questions I waited around and looked for someone, but couldn't find anyone on the floor. Now not sure what to do with my gift card. Online might be the only way.

I have been riding motorcycles for over 60 years. In fall of 2016 I purchased a used Yamaha FJR1300 from a private party for the express purpose of riding it around the U.S.A. in early summer of 2017. In January of 2017 I made a May appointment for a major service of the FJR. This included items that normally would not need replaced such as battery, brakes, air filter, and tires and anything else it would need for the trip. They called and advised that the service had been completed. Before I could pick it up the next day they called and said that overnight both front fork seals we're leaking fluid on the floor. This sounded suspicious but told them to replace them. I was told that they supposed I could be put ahead of everyone else and they would have to order the seals. This also seemed strange as my FJR was already there with an appointment and I was leaving in a few days. They ordered the seals and I picked it up the next day. Looking at the repair order I noticed the mechanic had written that the head bearings needed serviced and adjusted. That seemed weird as they were supposed to take care of anything it needed. I did not have time for them to do that as I was leaving in less than a week. I had gone to Westside three times trying to order and pay for the tires as I needed a receipt for both tires dated just before the service date for a substantial manufacturer discount. They did not order the tires until after the motorcycle was there so I missed out on the discount refund.I had told the sales dept several times that if I liked this motorcycle that I would buy a new Yamaha FJR 1300 when I returned. They had a black one but told them I preferred to wait for a blue 2018 one.I rode this FJR 1300 10,345 miles in 22 days and really liked it. I went to Westside to buy a new one but they only had a black one at the time. Shortly afterwards I tipped the FJR over while it was sitting still in my driveway.Basically, the damage consisted of paint damage as it was not moving. My insurance company needed an estimate. I took it to Westside and had to pay $100 for an estimate. My insurance company rejected the estimate which was about $3000. I kept contacting ins co and kept being advised that the issue had not been resolved. As winter approached I had a body shop take care of the paint damage myself, billed insurance co and total bill was less than half of Westside's estimate.I have contacted Westside several times to buy a new blue 2018 FJR1300. I have been told various things like they did not have one in yet, they we're not going to have one, they had a whole bunch in 2017 and couldn't sell them so dumped them, some in parts and sales didn't even know who built an FJR 1300 and they are the dealer. On my last inquiry I asked if they could steer me to a dealer who had one so I could buy one else where. I was then told that they could order one for me but that I would be required to buy it when it arrived but they suggested that I move up to a BMW.If it were not for the very pleasant, helpful, and competent young lady at the motorcycle service counter I would not have even given this dealer a one star rating. If experiences like this do not bother you at all, go ahead and try Westside Motor Sports at Spokane, WA for yourself. Oh, also hang onto your wallet as they will try to empty it with their high prices.

Customers are not important to this business. No one answers the phone in the parts department. They answer the phone in the sales department. I was told someone from their parts department would call me back. No one ever did. I will go somewhere else for the parts i need to fix my motorcycle.
