Pat and his team are amazing. Always super professional and make sure I am informed on what needs to be done on my vehicles. Pat is awesome about keeping me updated on the progress they have made when I have brought a vehicle in for service. I have been going here for over 3 years now and have no plans of changing mechanics. I could not be happier with 509 garage and the service they provide. I would 100% recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their vehicles.

I decided upon reading the reviews to take my vehicle here to get a diagnosis and repairs. I used to go to another well-known mechanic in town but have been dealing with too many issues with them lately. I initially thought it was a solenoid problem because my car was rough driving. Pat was great! He diagnosed the issue and said it could be a couple of fixes: either an oil change or a solenoid replacement which was more expensive. I needed an oil change at the time, and we got that done. Pat didn't want to do unnecessary expensive repairs unless absolutely needed. Turns out it was the solenoid and i scheduled a time later to get that fixed. Car is running perfect now. I appreciate Pat's honesty and ability to get things fixed in a timely manner. I'll certainly be doing more business with the 509 Garage in the future. Thank you Pat! Cheers!

I have brought my little old car to Pat several times for repairs and he is very thorough and honest. He explains in detail what the issue is. I know that when I bring my car here he won't try to do work on it that it doesn't need and I appreciate that a lot because I am poor lol. He recently fixed a one off issue related to a repair last year (not due to poor workmanship just stuff happens sometimes) and he didn't charge me. This is a great shop and I definitely recommend!

I had a great experience. I had to schedule my car's diagnosis a couple weeks out but Pat was generous, efficient, and in a couple hours they gave me an estimate. After he explained the problem to me I communicated I wanted to try to fix the car myself and he didn't charge me any money. Very thankful for their flexibility and willingness to help!

They wanted over $700 for maybe $200 worth of work and 30 minutes of labor. Their diagnosis was incorrect too cuz after repairing their recommendation the issue still persists. Left the car with them all day. I called 4 other shops in the area for the same work and they said I was being robbed. Wayyy overpriced and don t let the no diagnostic fee fool you. You ll definitely pay for it in the price of their repairs. They then had the gall to rudely call me and say they wouldn t work on my car as if I would ve authorized the ridiculous repair price anyway. They knew they were caught and didn t want to do business with me. Wouldn t recommend. Other reviewers are right and the fact that they reply to each negative review arguing with them says something.

Bit of a late review, I came here to fix my transmission pan due to it leaking. It wasn't cheap, but they did the job. What shaved this from a 5 star is at first, they informed it was going to be $741 for everything. Then I had to return the next day and it was $40 more. Not sure, if I heard the prices wrong. But, the main reason is after I got my car fixed here, it made a lot of strange noises and shook a lot. I took my car to another garage for a light repair and they took care of that issue for free. Would I return, I think twice about it.

Love the transparency here. Always very upfront - and never make any repairs prior to getting permission upfront. They always call with a cost breakdown and offer options for repair. Definitely recommend.

Ladies, if you don t know anything about cars, don t take your car here!! Pat will cheat you and charge you quadruple the price you would pay anywhere else!! I found that out the hard way! I paid $700 for him to replace 2-O2 sensors on a 2004 Dodge Durango. I found out after the fact that it is a very easy job and shouldn t cost more than $200 to $300! I don t work because I m taking care of my 88 year old mother, so mom and I won t be eating much for the next couple of months! Thanks for nothing Pat!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I just moved to Spokane, my bmw broke down took it first to c n h forgin auto repair few grand the first time broke down a few days later took it back to c n h got a batter replaced over 500 out the door broke down the very next day... Honestly gave up on getting my car repaired was gonna trade it in and buy a new one.. I just stopped in at 509 garage talked to the owner explained what was going on he had me bring it in checked everything for me for free because he said that just sounded really messed up. 509 figured out the battery c n h forgin auto sold me was a bunk battery and didn't even work got out the door at 509 garage with a working car 173 bucks and my faith restored in mechanics in Spokane thank you so much509 !!! Will be back for all repairs!!!!!!!

Ok here it goes a long due review. I should ve done this review long time ago. First thing first, trustworthy, you can sleep at night knowing your vehicle is in safe hands and your not being robbed with the price of the job being done to your vehicle. Pat is a true gentleman, always receive you with a big smile in the reception area. I wanted to do some outlandish upgrades to my truck to haul my Travel trailer which he could ve take advantage and made a lot of money but he didn t. I told him what was for and he traced a plan of what I truly needed and we only did what was really needed to get my truck ready for that task. Very professional job and they don t cut corners. Thank you Pat and team!!!

Pat is the real deal. A great guy who's not going to try and sell you anything you really don't need just to line his own pockets like other mechanics.I had some brake problems with my car and I called him asking his opinion on the matter. Basically told me I should get new rotors, calipers, and pads on the front of my car, a costly job. As money's tight right now, I asked him if that's the kind of job I could do with the help of a mechanically-savvy friend and some basic tools. He told me that it absolutely is. He didn't try to scare me and increase his own business profits, he simply told me "yeah, it's really not a hard or complicated job if you have someone who knows some general stuff about cars." He also gave me a thorough explanation of why my car needed the new parts, which was easy to understand and concise.Bottom line, Pat is a great guy who is not only knowledgeable about cars, but open and honest with you about what you might need, even if it doesn't mean maximum profits for him, and THAT is the kind of man you should give your business too.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Oil change

As a automotive service advisor myself at a local reputable European shop; I am extremely picky on whom services my domestic diesel truck. The ownership, management and customer relations at 509 Garage is not only top notch but more importantly, trustworthy and knowledgeable! Unfortunately, No one plans for automotive repairs, so when it comes to that time to repair your vehicle; you want to make sure that the shop is not only experienced with your vehicle make/model but also honest about the repairs moving forward - 509 Garage is that diamond in rough. Sadly, I ve personally heard one too many horror stories from some of my own customers whom trusted the wrong shop with their vehicles. The valve that comes along working with Pat - or anyone at The 509 Garage - far exceeds any cost! I'm from out of town and my car broke down. Pat was absolutely Awesome! He gave me a very fair honest assessment of the situation, was respectful, reasonable, and easy to talk to. I'm a pretty good judge of character and hands down have to recommend this shop. I wish we lived closer so we could have a mechanic close by like this. Do it once and do it right. Definitely would recommend The 509 Garage. Thanks!!

Knowledgeable and professional mechanics. I never felt like I was being pressured to have unnecessary work done. Maintenance was done quickly and at a fair price. Hassle free experience. What more could you ask for? I'll be bringing my vehicles back!

My wife and I have been bringing our cars here pretty much since they opened, and we love the transparency that Pat has with us about the repairs our cars need. I have never felt pressured to fix something that wasn't necessary to be fixed. Highly recommend this place!

Pat is probably the most reliable, trustworthy and genuine mechanic I know. I recently moved to the Spokane area, found Pat at the 509 Garage and immediately saw that he is not out there to screw customers over for a few bucks. I got some great advice and he was willing and able to work with me as my budget was pretty tight. I would recommend Pat and the 509 Garage to anyone and everyone who needs some work done.I have a '76 Ford F150, so for those in the classic truck gig I highly recommend this garage. For everyone else, I would still highly recommend this garage because, for me, genuine and trustworthy people are the people I want to support.

It's my garage of choice, they are fair in the pricing and do a good job!! I've ever had to take my car back for any reason,once they've fixed the problem!! Pat, the owner is always nice and accomadating!! Strongly recommended!!

Awesome service had a water pump go out,Pat who owns the busines gave. me a quote over the phone,also had a oil change, great people right up front on everything,anybody needing work on your car or truck give Pat a call you won't be disappointed.

Pat has worked on 2 of my vehicles, a Mariner and a GMC 1 ton. Each time when I picked up the vehicles they were in great working order and still are. Pat has taken the time to explained to me what has caused the problem and what it takes to repair/replace the part. Pat has never charged me more then what was quoted, infact the price was lower then what I expected. As everyone knows a good car doctor is hard to come by, I tried this garage out and I am glad I have, honest and vehicle turn a round time was right on. Thanks to Pat and his crew for the number one thing I look for "honesty"...

Absolutely the very best mechanic in Spokane. I don t and won t take my car anywhere else. They are willing to work with you if you want to bring in your own parts and they treat you fairly, won t rip you off with fake or unnecessary services, and if anything goes wrong they ll make it right. Unbeatable customer service, bar none.

I've gone to this shop several times now for basic maintenance and when I had a bigger issue with my vehicle. From my experience I completely trust this shop. Pat is a very honest and knowledgeable mechanic.
