Waiting to be seated I got to talking with the guy next to me. He said his experience here was less than pleasant. After a lengthy and specific phone conversation discussing exactly what he wanted installed in the vehicle and a confirmation it would be done he showed up at the shop. The reception desk person seemed clueless as to the visit. That made him feel uncomfortable. It seemed as if communication was not something practiced here. Not a way to instill confidence in a new customer. He said he made an appointment for 8am and needed his vehicle back. After a call back from the shop around 1130 they were still confused as to the work to be done even though this was thoroughly discussed previously. This upset him extremely, it seemed that they had not even looked at the vehicle. When he went to pick it up it was still parked in the same spot. REALLY??!!!. HE WAS FUMING MAD. He decided to take it back to the original shop to have the part installed. He felt if their communication was that bad and they had no idea what was going on between them it may be not the best place to go. I read some good reviews on this place but after hearing this story I don't think I'll chance it. I don't want a place that hasn't a clue what's going on; to work on my stuff. He didn't recommend this business. I was really out off to hear this.

Praise the Lord for Ray s Truck and RV Service s honesty, integrity and professionalism that saved us in many ways.Thank you Ray s Truck and RV for saving us money, time and comfort, and more importantly safety in cornering as we serve our Lord in our mobile ministry motorhome. It is very assuring to know whom to trust! Added to your service, because we were strangers to Washington and mid-journey on our travels, you helped us beyond in other areas too. We pray blessings over you and your business, in true gratefulness to our Lord for your hearts. My wife and I originally booked our motorhome in for a serpentine belt change, having been told by another service company, during an oil change and overall check-up, that the serpentine belt and pulley was in need of replacement, and SOON. However, Ray s Truck and RV specialists checked the belt and pulleys thoroughly and found no fault with any of it, advising no money be wasted on it, regardless that we had booked their time out for it. Even with my resistance to this advice through fear of the previous diagnosis in Phoenix prior to starting north on our 3,500 mile trip to Alaska, they re-assured us it was ok, and not to waste our money on the replacement with a new one. They did NOT EVEN charge for this check-up, assessment and the printed report they provided. Instead, on their own check-over of other parts of the vehicle they advised our focus be directed to an actual issue of a sway bar rubber bush and its bracket being completing missing, causing the vehicle to roll excessively in corners, which we had not realized was a problem. So we used our booked time to have that done instead, to the immediate effect of stability in corners and change in ride smoothness and comfort! Oh and over 7,000 miles later, the serpentine belt is still going strong!Praise Yah for your honesty, integrity and professionalism that saved us money, delivered just what we desired and needed to help us serve our purpose. May Yahweh bless you all beyond for helping us!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Made appointment for new shocks on Precept MH. Recommended by Truline RV repair. We had 3 other problems that we asked to have repaired. Very nice to get positive response. In at 8a and out by 2p after Sean thought all day.Got a call at 9:30 about a broken sway bar bracket that could only be sourced from Jayco factory. We asked about welding and they said should be no problem. Hard to tell it was not new.Last item was the generator not starting. A little service did the trick.Rays truck and rv is family friendly atmosphere 110%. Would recommend to everyone wanting genuine and honest work.10 stars if possible.Service: Steering & suspension repair

It's hard for me to accept a bill for $240 when they couldn't fix the problem because they couldn't find parts. I could have just gone to the casino and gambled the money away and had some fun. Rays should not have charged me for something they couldn't fix.

I brought my foodtruck to Ray's Truck for services, and they informed me that the water pump leaked. So i asked them to replace it. Once that was done, my truck smoked like crazy. I took there the second time, but they could not fix it and denied that the pump has nothing to do with it. I took it somewhere else and found out the water pump was not properly installed. This repair caused me a lot of grieves. I reached out to them in a good faith but they said nothing. Please do not use this place if you have Diesel truck. You will regret you did. I will give this place a zero for technical and customer service.Service: Oil change

I would give zero stars if it was an option. Took our 1994 RV in to have the generator repaired. The generator was working perfectly up until we got the RV back from Rays for repairing the radiator. This could be a coincidence, just know way of telling. Ray's had the RV for over 2 weeks. We went to pickup the RV while leaving the generator due to it not being repaired yet. I noticed damage to the drivers bumper. I had taken pictures on their lot prior to driving away. Ray's denied every damaging the RV and refused to accept any responsibility for the damage. After 2 months and several excuses as to why is was taking so long for them to repair the generator they finally gave up trying. They would not even call to let me know the progress, what the charges would be. I had to repeatedly call them. The final bill was over $1,600 and the generator still was not repaired. I would have expected them as some point to quit and say you have exceed the value of the a new one. Went to shop to discuss and pay bill and they did not even offer to return the old generator to us. We had already spent $500 on parts for this ourselves. When we asked for the generator we received it back in a box all in pieces and did not receive the new parts back that we personally purchased. RV owners you have been warned; BEWARE of this shops SHADY service.

They worked on my RV. Good people. We called and they literally got me in within hours. That's something pretty unusual for RV service shops. We usually get put off for days if not weeks. Prices were fair. They were doing some extensive seat work for me and the only bad thing was the mechanic left a bunch of grease all over my seat. I haven't really seen a RV service shop that doesn't leave the remnants of a greasy mechanic in the RV though after they've finished.I will be bringing my RV to Ray's from now on for chassis side service work

took my vehicle to this shop to have the transfer case repaired on my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4. They were competent, and communicative. they provide a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty on all work they perform. I would do business here again if needed.

The staff at Rays Truck is wonderful. They took care of our repairs quickly and had the rig back to us. They've become our new, forever mechanic.

We had a serious discrepancy with the bill. It came in substantially higher than the original quote. But Brian and Shawn worked it out satisfactorily. I appreciate them working it out but I feel like they could have avoided the entire situation. It all worked so I'm giving them a positive review.UPDATE: went to get some new tires on the motorhome and the mechanic noticed the filter they replaced was hanging on by one bolt. So Ray's did a trash job putting it back together. I should have asked for my old filters just to be sure they actually did the work they say they did. They must make a pretty penny off their low ball quote that doubles when you pick up your rv scam. Quoted me "$225 for everything" to flush the radiator and then tried to charge me $260 just for the fluid. Shawns excuse was he didn't know how much fluid it would take so even though I asked how much it would all cost he just quoted me labor no materials but in the next breath said labor was only $90. None of his many excuses made any sense. He was so proud to tell me he had 25 years in the business but after all that experience his quote was off by more than half. His excuses made less sense than the bill. I will never return, not even to make them fix what they messed up. I suggest anyone thinking of using them protect yourself. Get hard numbers, get proof they did the work, and don't let them sell you a magical bill of goods why they're trying to charge you double what they quoted. Save yourself the trouble go somewhere else. Go see Dave at Whalens Tire he's a good guy and honest.

I have been working on RVs for over 20 years and well I don't do any of the chassis side on the motorhomes so I have recommended Ray's for years as every customer I send to them thanks me for doing so. Very nice and professional.

I recently took my 2002 Dodge Dakota to the local Dodge Dealer for the 100,000 mile servicing (Transmission, Transfer Case, Front and Rear Differential Fluids, etc.). The Dealer told me I needed to have my Posi-Loc Rear End rebuilt. I took my truck to Ray's for a 'second opinion' Turns out there was nothing wrong with the rear end! Ray's saved me $1500.00 for an unneeded repair. They were fast, effective, and accurate.

I own a 2013 Tiffin Motor Home that experienced a rear air bag problem. I called Ray s Truck Center and spoke to Rick. Rick said that I could drop it off right away to investigate the issue. Within a few hours they determined that one of the rear air bags on the Freightliner chassis was blown and needed to be replaced. He did not have an estimate of what it would cost to replace the single airbag and he needed to research the market and find the correct replacement. I also requested that they perform an oil change and replace the wiper blades while it was there. A couple of days later in the morning my wife called Rick to find out what the estimate would be and when the motor home would be ready. Rick stated that it was ready now and that we could pick it up. She asked what the total was and he said that he had not worked up the total yet. We arrived to pick it up and we were shocked at the bill. $2,014.70! They made the decision to replace both air bags on a newer coach when the other bag had no issue. This is a three year old coach! I spoke to other Freightliner repair facilities and they stated that sometimes an air bag will have a seal defect that will cause it to fail. There should have been no reason to replace both. In addition, they also filled up my exhaust fluid without authorization which was also expensive. I understand that having a nice coach comes with repair expenses. My big issue with Ray s Truck Center is that they do not communicate well to keep the customer in control of the estimated charges. My understanding in Washington State is that they must provide the customer with a written estimate for all work proposed and then seek authorization from the customer before completing the work. I wonder how the Washington State Attorney General's office would feel about this issue. If you plan on doing business with them make sure that you stay in control of the repair charges before you are shocked like I was. This process did not build any trust with me and I will never plan on returning Ray s Truck Center for any future work.

Beware of fake reviews (Mike Fealk & Lisa Loveall reviews). Ray's Truck Service & RV is as honest a shop as you can get. Trusted by over 500 fleet & over 400 RV customers each year. Call any shop in town for a referral to them :)

Dropped off keys at 8:00. They said it should take 90ish minutes. Instead, they didn t begin work on it until 9:40 and finished by 10:40. Would have been fine had they simply told me they would not begin working on it for another 90 minutes. Simply poor communication

I had Ray's do some work on my vintage (92) Isuzu chassis class A RV. They managed to redo the brakes, fix and oil leak and replace the alternator. But the experience was pretty lousy and my confidence about the repairs isn't great.I called them in July asking them if they could do a "vehicle inspection, including an oil pressure test and a compression test" , they said of course and they scheduled me for an appointment 10 days later. When I brought the vehicle in 10 days later,, it sat with no one looking at it for four days. I called every day to ask what progress was made. "We got really busy" , was the standard reply. They finally came up with a list of recommended repairs, but no estimates for the repair work. They finally gave me a labor estimate for the repairs, but couldn't price out the parts. I told them to start work on the brakes and the oil leak, since I figured these were essential and figured the parts prices would just be a pass through. They started working on the brakes, but progress was very slow and then after a week I was told that the mechanic had gone on a "long planned vacation". When I asked about having another mechanic take over, t hg e told me they like to have the same mechanic finish a job who started it. When I asked, since this was a "long planned vacation" why this mechanic was assigned to the job, I got a blank stare and a "umm" in response. When the mechanic returned from vacation, then I was told than now they needed to order the parts... so another long delay waiting for parts. When I asked why parts weren't ordered prior to vacation the response was another "um, we didn't know what parts to order"They also fixed the oil leak and in the process noted that the alternator bracket wasn't properly bolted onto the engine, so I had them fix that. All in all my MH was in their shop a bit over a month for redoing the brakes and fixing an oil leak and few other minor repairs. When I looked at the invoice I found that the prices charged for parts was roughly double what I could find online for the same part numbers. They claimed they were ordering the parts from the Isuzu dealer in Portland. Shipping charges were quite expensive, compared to online parts shipping estimates. Finally I got the MH back and started doing restoration work on the house portion. I didn't drive MH hardly at all during this period, however as cold weather set in I drove the MH to a propane supplier in order to run the furnace and doing this I noticed that the chassis battery voltage was getting pretty low, with the engine running only 10.8 volts instead of the expected 13-14 volts. I ordered a replacement alternator through Amazon and once I had it in hand called Ray's to see if they could install it.They did the installation OK, but it took them 4 hours. When I asked about a break on the hours, since they had missed the both during problem during their inspection and when they fixed the alternator mounting bracket their response was "Well it looks like it's an intermittent problem, otherwise we would have noticed"Finally when they did this repair the mechanic took no care about keeping the restored interior of the coach clean and I found greasy foot prints and hand prints on brand new interior walls and floor.Unfortunately Ray's seems to be "the only game in town" for RV chassis repairs. I think their poor customer service is a reflection of that, if there were other places to go -- they wouldn't be busy with any repeat business.
