My vehicle recently hit 100,000 miles and I figured it deserved a tune-up and some TLC. I went to Mechanics Pride on the South Hill because family members have had their vehicles worked on there twice before and were totally satisfied. Manager Mark Matthews and his crew of mechanics lived up to that reputation and provided friendly, excellent and reliable service. My 14 year old Toyota Tacoma is running like it is new again and should be good for another 100,000. If you want honest, reliable and excellent servicing of your vehicle, I highly recommend you go talk with Manager Mark Matthews and let his crew of expert "car guys" look over your vehicle. Awesome and honestTook my SUV to mechanics pride cause I thought the alternator needed to be replaced due to battery losing charge. and the mechanic called me back two hours later telling me that there was nothing wrong with my alternator and told me that to be honest, he wouldn t feel right to change a perfectly working OEM alternator. we need more mechanics like these guys, honest, and true to the job

After working on one of our vehicles numerous times they re refusing now because our car is European it is not. It s a European brand that was purchased by GM and nothing about it is European. It was made in Ohio and share s a platform with 6 other vehicles. Surprise there s a new manager. They told me that their scanners wouldn t even work on it and even though it s a shared platform most parts don t interchange.After speaking to a GM dealership mechanic that turns out to be a big fat lie, the scanners will work and 95% of the parts do interchange aside from interior and body parts, all mechanical parts are essentially the same. I was referred me to their downtown shop because they specialize in European cars and I m sure they charge a higher rate. I was able to diagnose my problem and fix it myself with a part shared across all 7 vehicles on the platform. I let them replace the struts that they just put in last November because upon their initial inspection they said they were bad and I don t believe they knew at the time they installed them and they were under warranty. I won t be taking any vehicle to this location any longer. I bet the dude is gonna get on here and say I m wrong but I trust the word of a GM dealership mechanic over this guy s any day.

Winter then summer. Twice a year I visit Mechanics Pride for my snow tries changing. They have cheapest rate below 40$ in whole town. All the working staff is expert in there work and they check your car if any service is needed. Only negative part is you have to wait for weeks to get an appointment. But they help you if something urgent is needed.

My motor after replacing it and don't want to stand by there warranty without charging me more but the owner is trying but the manager of the valley store is a complete jerk and down and out not a good person

Get a second opinion before you get anything done. I got an oil change and they inspected everything thensaid I had almost 5k worth of work to do, $3400 of that was replacing the control arms. I got a 2nd opinion and the control arms are fine, it was the ball joint and tie rods that needed replaced. I saved about $2k getting a 2nd opinion.

Great service, decent prices, great people. Had front brakes replaced. After around 4 months rotor s warped. Took the car back, Mark at the South Hill Mechanics Pride, inspected the brakes and said we ll fix it. No questions asked, no additional costs like some other shops might charge. We warranty the the parts, not the labor. That s playing games with customers. No games with customers. Took my car in for a checkup and it needed to have some work done. They kept the car for two days and it came back to me, running like a top! Mark, I think he's the manager, is super nice and very easy to work with. I would happily bring my car back to Mechanics Pride South Hill whenever it is needed.

I've been using mechanics pride on the South Hill for over 15 years now and they've always treated me right diagnosed and repaired the problem right the first time always at a fair price always at a fair price. I have also used their valley location to work on my Camaro that every time I've been more than satisfied with work they've done they've gone above and beyond too find parts that were hard to find for my Camaro and still treat me right on price. Although there was an issue for a few days as far as even getting my vehicle diagnosed they did pull through and get my vehicle fixed the same day this review was made so there was definitely effort to make this issue correct and I do appreciate that.They used to be good, we ve been taking all 4 of our cars there for years but I will never go back. Terrible customer service. I used to constantly refer them. I ll now tell everyone to avoid them. They make people wait over a week for diagnosis but when you pull up they send three guys running out to diagnose a clearly running vehicle. While my vehicle just waits. They re so busy I m sure losing one customer doesn t matter but trust me more and more customers are going to stop going here with the way they re managing it.

These guys were nice enough to take 20 minutes out of their busy day to remove a live rockchuck from underneath my car. I will definitely use them for any mechanical issues I have from now on!

Mechanic Pride has to be the best Shop in Spokane !!! The integrity and honesty is excellent. The service is exceptional by the manager Mark. I went in the service shop thinking I would have to replace my whole radiator...and it was only the hose. Mechanic Pride could have taken total advantage of the situation but didn't..I will choose them every time... this isn't my only situation with my hunting truck with mechanic Pride either..

I have been going to Mechanic's Pride for almost five years. Every time Tony has been so awesome at getting my car in and out the same morning I call for an appointment. Tony tells me the honest trust about what my car needs, which isn't much since its a 2013 Toyota Corolla with under 50,000 miles on it. I get my routine oil changes there, and a mount and balance for my snow tires in the winter time. I get my fluids topped off every time I get an oil change.A couple months ago I decided to take my car into Spokane Quick Lube down the road, I didn't have enough time this time to go to Mechanic's Pride because we were leaving on a camping trip.What a mistake, my car was leaking oil, and lots of oil.I called Tony the next day and he was able to get me in and check it out. There was something wrong with the bolt, like it was stripped or something. Well Tony was able to fix it and no more oil is leaking.Everyone there is so awesome, they made sure to check out everything else in my car to make sure everything is running properly.They are quick and efficient, trust worthy and local!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Mechanics Pride is not only the best mechanic in Spokane but the best mechanic I've ever been to. My experiences at this shop have been nothing but fantastic. They take such good care of their customers and truly go above and beyond whenever I bring my old rav4 in. Tony and Cosmo, as well as your crew, you're just the very best.

I have been going to Mechanics Pride for many years. I have always had the best service on anything they have done to my vehicle. Tony at the South Hill store has always gone out of his way to explain what is needed and done on my auto. Tony is my go to guy anytime I need something done on my car. Usually don t take the time too ever leave reviews but I ve had nothing but more problems and $ too pay since coming here I don t know how many times I had too take my car back for simple breaks and it s STILL not done right. I can t afford to not have a car for a month again.

These people are hacks. I've been an automotive tech for over 40 years and had to help an individual that took 2 vehicles to this location. They couldn't fix the 1st vehicle and had the customer take the vehicle to the dealer to diagnose it after they charged this customer over $4k.2nd vehicle left Mechanic's Pride with more problems that it was dropped off with and over $1k was spent on it.Avoid this business at all costs.My warning is for all future customers not some lame excuse from the owner.

More than great mechanics, they have great values. I cannot speak more highly of this place.A week or so ago I stopped to help somebody who was broken down on the side of the road a ways outside of town. This gentleman moved here somewhat recently on refugee status so unfortunately he did not yet speak English fluently. I am no mechanic so the couple obvious things I checked did not get his car running again. We picked our way through a conversation and settled on dropping him off at a mechanic s, somewhere nearby. The South Hill was the closest part of the city so I began Googling. Mechanic s Pride was close and, more importantly, had great reviews so that is where we headed. When I dropped him off I explained the situation and told them where the tow truck would find his car. Before I headed home I gave them my number so they could call with an update when they figured out the problem. A couple hours later the shop manager called and informed me that they had diagnosed and fixed the problem and sent the gentleman on his way, free of charge.Many businesses would have jumped at the opportunity to take advantage of somebody in this man s position but they did not. They did the exact opposite. Next time I need anything done with my own vehicles I will definitely be bringing them here.

I was on my way to another mechanic much further from home when my car said "nope". Very happy to have stumbled and sputtered into Mechanics Pride this year as they have always been upfront and honest with me. Their prices are fare, service is great and they are usually booked solid yet have addressed my car in a timely manner. Tony is a rockstar but the whole team is great! Thank you Mechanics Pride team .
