WOW! Cannot thank these guys enough! My car broke down a few weeks before Christmas. They had to send the part out and it was more extensive than initially thought. Thankfully, I had my car back just before Christmas and it is running so much smoother than before.I was kept in the loop with every update, explained thoroughly what problems are there and what could be. I was given different options that may have fit my schedule or price better. They worked with me every step of the way.This is not the first time we have received amazing service from them and I am over confident that it won't be the last.Thank you so much!!Services: Engine repair, Oil change

I had the most amazing experience at Downtown Auto Specialists. They got me in for an appointment nearly immediately and took great care of me. Their work was fast and efficient, and they began right away when I dropped off my van. They were wonderfully kind and knowledgeable, explaining everything in detail when I picked up my vehicle as well. Next time I need ANYTHING done on my Sprinter, I will be returning here. Thank you for the exceptional experience!

This place was amazing. We were on a road trip from Missouri to Washington when our car started having issues. No place in 6 cities had an opening to help us. And then I called these amazing guys. They wanted to make sure our trip was good and we didn t miss anything so they squeezed us between waiting for other parts and stuff. They were so knowledgeable and friendly. They were fast friendly and I wish they were in Missouri. I got to enjoy the rest of my vacation because of them. What a great place. In a time that seemed impossible to get anything done (my regular mechanics and the first three places I called were booked for two weeks or more), Ken managed to squeeze me in. My truck wasn't starting, turned out needing a new battery and alternator. In a situation like this, I would have expected an overly pricey bill, and was shocked at how great the price was. I'm tempted to make this place my regular. Sooooo awesome!! Thanks Ken!!

I brought in my daughters Fiat during the pandemic as I needed to get it fixed before driving back to Arizona. Ken the owner and his staff were very friendly and welcoming and found the problem on the Fiat right away. They fixed it very quickly so we could get on the road. Ken has even followed up with me twice to make sure the Fiat is running smoothly!! I would give them 100 stars if that was an option.

One of the things that impresses me very much about Ken and his crew is not only their wide range of knowledge regarding automobiles and all things related but Ken's honesty. If he can find it for you cheaper he will, if there is a better way to do it he will do it that way. It is not so much what he makes doing business with you, although that is important, but what the end result is. I truly do believe in my heart that his goal is to make sure your vehicle performs the best it can and is as safe as it possibly can be. I am so glad he was recommended to me by my brother and that I went to see him. I encourage anyone who is looking for an honest, reliable, decent person to work on their vehicle to take it to Ken and Downtown Automotive Specialists.

Third project performed on our truck and all three times were 5 star.Projected cost and completion time were as expected. Kept us informed of any problem noted allowing us to have time for decision making process. No pressure on us to have something done we did not want. Also very pleasant/professional and top quality work. Would not use any one else for our vehicle needs. Thank you Ken and team.

Easily a 5 star rating. Ken and his crew are honest, accomadating and professional. Not to mention top notch with all repairs. Biggest impression for me it's the honesty and the ability to fully have the customers best interest as their top priority. Through numerous makes and models, of all styles and all years they get the job done. And done well. You will never feel pressured or mislead. They are a one stop, enjoyable repair facility. Each technician takes the utmost pride and care, and it shows. I would never hesitate to send anyone to Downtown Auto. Thanks for being the best!

I have had a great experience with Downtown Auto! It took me about 2 years living in Spokane to find a mechanic I trust, but after a few instances working with Ken I found a great place. They are honest, personable, and reliable!

Ken at Downtown Auto Specialists takes good care of my 83 CJ5 jeep. I first found Ken's shop years ago, thought I had major troubles, and his mechanic, was wonderful. What I thought was a big problem was a simple and cheap fix. My Jeep takes me places that would take a long time to walk out of, so knowing that they take such good care of it puts me at ease. Highly recommend Ken and his shop.

Keeping our 18-year-old Jeep on the road is a task we ve dumped on Ken and his Downtown Auto Specialists crew. We re more than satisfied, confident that if something needs repair these folks are assessing it correctly. Definitely recommend this shop.

Knowledgeable. Local. Professionals. Reliable. Affordable. Honest.I saved almost 300 dollars getting my vehicle repaired here at, Downtown Auto Specialist. Those six words are exactly I have written above, describes these gentlemen. Thanks guys for your help and the knowledge behind the job, that was performed. So dedicated with their career, and it shows. They also post on Facebook, helpful pointers on what to look out, for with various car problems.Thanks a bunch guys!

I don't live in Spokane, and I was trying to help my retired mother with getting her oil changed. I told her to ask for the price up front, to not request any special oil if they asked, and to tell them to get her permission if they thought something else needed to be done. They charged her $108 to change her oil in a tiny Toyota. When she asked them why it was more then the $40 she was quoted, he said because she had requested full synthetic, which she did not do. This place takes advantage of women, and I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. DO NOT TRUST.

Drive an e350. Went to get car code read and they said I had a cylinder misfire which was causing my check engine light to turn on. They kept the car over night and said around noon they would tell me more about what was wrong but when they called me they told me the same exact thing that the code reader said. I asked how much was the estimate and they said at least $1200 if they don't find anything else wrong which sounded wrong to me as if he was planning on doing something else to my car to charge more. They told me no one in Spokane would charge less but the coil part was only worth $70 and changing it is not too difficult so that was a huge rip off. I went to a small shop up north and they said 600 to replace all 6 coils and labor fees. However when I left the car there they told me that if the mechanic at downtown auto had actually checked the engine they would have noticed that one of the wires for the cylinder was frayed and was not delivering electricity to the coil and that the coils did not need to be replaced.

Fantastic service! We had an emergency repair two days before Christmas. Ken gotUs in and back on the road within a day. Price was comparable to other shops. Definitely recommend this place

I've come here multiple times with different vehicles. They always call and explain if repairs are necessary, and the price is always fair. I trust these guys and will always bring my vehicle here.
