Chuck's is great! I have lived in the Seattle area for almost 10 years and this is the first mechanic place that treated me like a person. Other places treated me like I only belonged in the kitchen or that I was some dumb kid... Even though I'm almost 40yr and worked on cars with my Dad when we had the tools to do so... but I digress. If you want a mechanic that will actually listen to your concerns and not try to sell you things you don't need, Chuck's is the place. They have this awesome system where they send you information on what they found in their inspection and you can choose to accept or decline repairs using their online system. Meaning, for those introverts out there, you don't have to do a bunch of talking on the phone and they even text you if that's how you prefer to communicate. Everything is well detailed with their Services and they have excellent professionalism. Chuck's auto repair will be my go to mechanic from now on

Chuck's will get all my car business. After getting a bonkers quote from the dealer, I came here for a second opinion. Not only did they find a bunch of repairs the dealership missed (including things I specifically asked the dealer about), they did about twice as much work for a lower price and in less time. They communicated clearly throughout and were super helpful. Feels like I'm driving a new car now.

I have been going to Chuck s for 2 years and would highly recommend them! I know my car is in good hands here. The team is communicative, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. I am consistently impressed with their willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. I recently went to Chuck s for a door handle repair after an attempted car break-in, and the car looks as good as new! Steve was great throughout the process and offered suggestions to deter future break-ins, plus he went above and beyond to help with the insurance claim process.

Clear communication, honesty, and excellent quality of work are the top three qualities that come to mind when I think of Chuck's Auto Repair in Shoreline. I've been going here for years and am always satisfied with their work and service. If you need a great local place for your car, try Chuck's!

I have used these folks as my go-to service team for my WRX for years. My car started making what sounded like the dreaded rod knocking sound that WRX motors are known for, so I panicked and got it to Chuck's as soon as I could.Turned out it was a fried ignition coil... still a pricey fix, but way better than a new motor. After the repair, including a carbon clean and new spark plugs, my car now runs 100%. They seemed to also have fixed random suspension noises and just made the car feel like it is brand new. Not sure what magic that is, but I'll take it.Overall, 4k in repairs sounded like a tough pill to swallow, but given the work and results, plus the customer service from Ryan and Mark(?) the technician who did the work, it was 4k well spent and I continue to be very happy with this team and supporting their business.

These guys are great! Prices are a bit high but they pay their mechanics a living wage, which I am totally in favor of since it means they have low employee turnover.The guys at Chucks do honest work - I have asked them to show me what they've found and let me see it in person before agreeing to further service, and they have let me come in while my car was still lifted and explained to me what they found, why it's of concern, and how urgently it needs attention. They also haven't discouraged me from doing some of the fairly easy maintenance tasks (like replacing filters and spark plugs) myself, which I appreciate.They always use OEM parts, they have a phenomenal warranty on their own service, and have proven they honor their warranty, too. My 2012 Kia Soul (RIP)'s rear suspension was replaced by Chuck's in 2021 and they found it was shot again in early 2023 (before their 2 year warranty expired - I blame our pot-hole laden roads in Seattle), and I didn't pay a dime for the second replacement. AND, they confirmed there was a renewed 2 year/24k mile warranty on that work, too (so, in theory, if my suspension kept getting jacked up before the 2 years were up then they'd keep replacing it for free)!I only trust these guys with the service and maintenance of my vehicles.

I am no happy at all. Let me tell you somethingAbout 2 years ago Chuck s Auto changed so much money and didn t fixed my car, and continue saying my car needs a computer about $900 then I said I cannot afford this minute but the Toyota dealer found out my tank was mix with diesel.Second incident last week, I brought my car, even though the tools was left out by my cousin, your mechanic failed to find out and remove it at least.You Also charged me over $1000 and promise me you said that you will do bumper to bumper Inspection but you failed to change my signal light, oil. You gave me the car back before resting the dashboard everything is on you didn t bother to reset them up.I only came to your place because the neighborhood mechanic area and I wanted to let it go the past about the diesel issue, but you continue not to improve at all.And I haven t told nobody, but now I m going to tell and share my issue about your auto shop with friends and family.

Ryan, Steve & team always take great care of me and my car! Clear and fast repair assessments, answer all of my questions, honest about what's urgent and what can wait. I've gone to Chuck's Auto in Shoreline for years and plan to for years to come.

Totally awesome job repairing both our jeeps. Ryan and Steve are terrific persons. I highly recommend Chuck's over dealership service. You guys ROCK! (The carbon cleaning service makes my jeep purr, highly recommend)

My Volkswagen was in desperate need of repairs and Chuck s Auto was able to get me in way sooner than the other auto repair shops that had poor customer service & waiting lists over over a month out. At Chuck s, I was greeted warmly over the phone in addition to when I came in person. Even their bathrooms were really clean! Some might not think that s not a big deal, but I think it says a lot about how much their employees and management cares. I was able to work from a nearby Starbucks across the street and they took care of my car hours faster than I expected. They even discovered a tiny leak in my coolant and helped me take care of that as well. I m grateful to be treated like a special customer and I highly recommend this family business for all car repairs.

Staff provide friendly knowledgeable service and fix what is needed. Our family has had all of our cars serviced at Chuck s with great results. We also went to Chuck s when the cars needed new sets of tires because they offered great prices, quality installation, and honor their warranties. Highly recommend.

Very professional, skillful technicians, and super helpful. They fixed the car troubles I had super fast too. I was waiting for Enterprise to pick me up and they offered me a coffee because I was waiting longer than usual! Ryan and the crew are great! I needed a problem fixed with my old car in a hurry. They squeezed me in, diagnosed the source of the problem, replaced 2 parts and serviced the car in a day! They are fast, do excellent work and are very reasonable. I highly recommend Chuck's!

We have been using Chucks for servicing and repairs of both our cars for a year now and have been very impressed. They are efficient, professional, and always willing to explain their recommendations for repairs. We always feel confident that we can trust the employees to be honest about how necessary different repairs are. I took my 2012 f150 here last year to diagnose an engine misfire. After briefly looking over the truck they claimed the engine was bad and would need to be replaced. However this was NOT TRUE As it turns out the injector for the bad cylinder had a bad gasket and was leaking from the top of the engine. After it was replaced the engine ran perfectly again.Not only was I harmed by the misdiagnosis by the mechanic at Chucks but I'm upset they charged me a whooping 150 dollars. They should have at least pulled the top of the intake off and ruled out any other possibilities but I guess their mechanics can't be expected to work more than 5 minutes that sum of money

Nice guys. But their mechanics screwed up over and over.On their inspection they missed empty radiator overflow fluid and pinched the spark plug wire against the valve cover under the spark plug boot. They drastically mis-adjusted the pushrod when replacing my brake booster. Then they misdiagnosed my stiff brakes as an ABS pump problem. The next mechanic I took it to confirmed their misdiagnosis. Nice guys but they need better mechanics. I will not be returning.

Had a very positive experience. We had our car towed in because the ignition broke. The shop was able to diagnose the problem and make the repair in a fairly quick manner. They were easy and pleasant in their communication. I appreciate the ability to view and approve the estimate via text. Cut down on the need to be available for calls during the work day. Honestly I have no sense of usual costs so unable to compare prices. Would return.Services: Vehicle Inspection, General repairs, Oil change

My catalytic converter was stolen and Chuck s Auto was able to get my vehicle in for repairs quickly. I was making an insurance claim and the people at Chuck s went above and beyond in dealing with my insurance. They also did a thorough inspection and helped explain which things should be done soon and what things I could hold off on. I ended up having them replace my brakes, which they did in a timely manner. Their prices were fair and their customer service was great.Services: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

I've been going to Chuck's for about six years and have always received great service. I have a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta (original owner) with about 70,000 miles. It's important to me to keep my car in good working order and the people at Chuck's do just that. They explain what they will be doing and answer any questions I have. I recommend Chuck's for great auto mechanic service.

I took my truck in to get a new rear end. The work was completed faster than anticipated and Ryan s communication was not only reassuring but some of the best customer service I ve experienced. Reasoning for 4 and not 5 stars was a price increase discussed after the work was completed. I understand the work was necessary, not everyone has a flexible financial situation. Great place overall and I ll be back!
