Brought my car here after an accident and needed to have work done on my front bumper and undercarriage. I understand the hardship of finding the correct parts in a timely manner, but the communication from this establishment was non existent. originally brought my car in on 1/26/2024 and finally picking it up 3/18/2024. During this time I initiated all calls regarding the progress of ordering parts, the status of the work being done on my vehicle, and when my vehicle would be ready to pick up. Disappointed in the lack of communication to customers when this establishment is charging $160 PER HOUR FOR LABOR. I knew it was going to be an expensive fix for my vehicle, but charging dealership prices for anything but dealership service seems like a scam to me. Alongside the lack of communication, and the labor pricing, i was also extremely disappointed by the urgency of this establishment to get my vehicle fixed. The secretary tried multiple times to convince me to total my car, which came across as someone not looking out for the best interest of their customers and laziness. it is really quite unfortunate that the tow truck company Jim s automotive recommended this place to me. after a $4,500 repair (most of which was the cost of labor) I have my car back and will be going to a more trust worthy body shop to finish my front bumper.

Bring your vehicle here every time. They go the extra mile. They took our oil leaking jeep in at 4:45pm, diagnosed and chose to stay late and finish the job so we could get home tonight. DJ is a rock start mechanic who showed us the problem and fixed it. Over the top excellent diagnosis, service and attitude! They even bought us pizza and drinks since it was late. WOW!!

No preparation, research not done beforehand combined with lack of experience lead to unnecessary 3+ hours of idle time waiting around doing nothing but waiting for a callback from some kind of internet mechanic service.Bad customer service and communication due to lack of knowledge exacerbated problems.Shop seemed fixated on big $ battery replacement repair, necessary or not. Charged full diagnostic rate despite not looking into low $ wiring fix or BECM replacement as requested.Unsure if this is because they are scammers or just incompetent with Hybrid/Electrical or both but ultimately the bottom line is they failed to help me and wasted my time and money. And were rude and nasty when called out for it. Untrustworthy.Observe this supposed owner responding here, whom I have never communicated with elsewhere, being more interested in discrediting a bad review than helping me with my car or getting right on what he charged me.

They have the best customer service, are super friendly and have fair pricing. Michael and Lisa always take time to explain whats going on and the techs save my oil so I can look at it myself. We were visiting in Brinnon when our car started overheating. They got us in that day. Unfortunately our car needed a lot of work. This was on a Friday and we got the car back on Tuesday. They were very friendly and did great work at a reasonable price

My family was out on vacation and had to have our AC unit replaced. They got me I. Right away and did an amazing job and was able to get it done quickly! And I didn t have to pay an arm and a leg! My truck broke down just down the road from First Choice who a co-worker used.They recommended a tow truck driver who was there the next day and First Choice had my truck ready to that day. I have taken my vehicle to this shop 3 or 4 times and I have felt hustled the last two times. My truck was not repaired appropriately and there was a substantial price increase to me within a very short time period. I would not recommend this shop to anyone and I encourage everyone I know to find a better repair shop that will treat them with respect and do quality work.NServices: Engine repair, Auto maintenance

This shop is amazing! They were professional, knowledgeable and they were able to get my Cadillac back on the road after I had it at the dealership with no luck for several months!. They were able to correctly diagnose and resolve the issue in a timely manner. I'm so thankful! I love First Choice, because I can always count on them to get my car done. I also own a Mini and not many mechanics can fix them, but First Choice can fix anything on my Mini! They also always give me a ride to work when I drop off my car. My father recommended First Choice as they've been great to him. I drive from out of town to have my car serviced here. They've serviced and repaired several issues on my car, and performed regular maintenance as well. So far so good... I took my vehicle there for some repairs because the shop I deal with on a regular basis, was simply too busy and unable to make the repairs needed in a timely fashion. Upon entering the establishment, the owner Michael, was courteous, made me feel welcomed and assigned a mechanic to perform the repairs on my vehicle right away. I trust, they will do a good job and I'll be back with an update after the repairs are completed.

VERY disappointed, it took almost 4 weeks for them to diagnose a simple ECU failure on my Toyota Prius, then they tried to sell a new unit to me for $2000 when they are all over the internet for $200 and less. Altogether almost 6 weeks later (in which I spend hundreds $$$ more to run my truck and missed medical appointments and a funeral) I got my car back for $550 but all the Maintenance Required Lights on the dashboard are still on. Contacting the consumer protection agency!!!

After they are done putting the most expensive USE TRANSMISSION $ 7000Plus when I went to pick it up the receptionist LISA tell me that my car have a leaky radiator so I need to make on appointments. So I did it will cost me on other 700+ SHe is a liar I don t have a leaky radiator instead it s part of the transmission they put is the one leaking. THEY Are All Liar do not use this shop!!!Service: Transmission replacement

When we moved from Pierce County and had not located a mechanic. I needed my AC serviced and contacted First Choice. They were professional and friendly. Their prices are reasonable and they take the time to explain what is needed. They did not try to hand me work on my vehicle that was not necessary. Our Family will be using them again for our Vehicle Maintenance needs. Thank you First Choice.Since I wrote this a few years ago, I have had more experience with First Choice. My electrical went crazy on my vehicle and they tracked down the problem and had me up and running again quickly. They have done numerous oil changes, basic tune ups, even changing the headlights (to get to mine you have to go under the vehicle not under the hood.) They were great at doing it for me. I called to get a quote on fixing my vehicle. Mike was very nice and most logical person installed to so far. I even told my husband how nice the guy was. Mike thought it best to look at it first. I called right back to still get the quote in case I decide to do all the work there. It was like talking to a total different person. Mike was not nice at all and told me, "he's not going to give me a quote, if all I'm doing is price shopping he's not my guy. If I'm serious about getting my car done then he'll talk to me." I told him how rude he was and hung up.

Mike is the nicest guy and very knowledgeable about his profession. He keeps up to date with the most current science research in his field. He was able to get me in touch with a taxi service so I could get back to my car from an hour away. I chose his business because it is AAA approved and he was able to get to my vehicle in a timely manner. I would recommend this business especially if you are having electrical problems.Service: Electrical

Woman who answers phone in my opinion rude an impolite. I know the problem. I do not need a $100 diagnoses for you to tell me what i already know, it is a rip off. The guy in photo use to be my mechanic not anymore. I had it checked by other mechanic who listened to me, I was right. No need $100 diagnosis.

We got an emergency tow here at 2:30pm on a Friday and were fixed up and on the road by 4 for less than $200. The shop is clean and has WiFi and a comfortable waiting room. Everyone was friendly and you could tell it was a place that gets lots of regular customers. Just really can t say enough good things.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I brought my vehicle in for a tansmission service and they replaced a pcv hose assembly i also dropped off a set of headlighs to install. Long story short they were unable to change headlights. When i got my car back it was missing the headlights i dropped off as well as the engine covers were also missing and not in my vehicle anywhere they literally stole parts off my vehicle. My engine bay was clean and had all it covers in place they rmoved and did idk what with them. And to top it off their mechanics didnt even re attach my air intake filter they just set it in the corner of my engine bay. Ill attach a pitcure. These scammers are charging 100 dollars a hour top dollar rates for mechanical work and are some of the worst mechanichs ive ever experianced. Do not go here!!!

Don't recommend this shop anymore I took a car to get repaired . They changer me almost five grand and the car is even worse they claim is a clamp they didn't install. I just talked to an other mechanic and he said that for the job they did they did very bad work now I have a car with a blown engine and I have to pay and other 3500 for a New engine

Had my clutched replaced. Electrical problems occurred. Bought the sensor that they said they needed. Same Electrical problems. They suggested that i take the car on the highway to see if the lights would disappear after driving. After getting stranded and getting the car back to the shop, i need to pay them to diagnose the problem which they are leaning towards a new hybrid battery. They have said that the new hybrid battery would cost over 3000. Definitely not my "First Choice".Services: Transmission, Electrical

rude and unruly Mike started yelling saying I was being rude because they promised me an hour to find the problem, it took 2 hours to tell me nothing cuz they weren't looking at it at all and on top of all of it I get my car back to see that one of their mechanics were rummaging through my stuff nothing was stolen bit they have no business going through customers cars. I would not recommend this place to your worst enemies.

The manager is very knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain what he's doing. Doesn't seem to be just about making money by actually doing a decent job on your car if he can. If it's shot he would tell you that it's not worth your money. I appreciate the facts, automotive science and mechanics.

Michael is a rarity. He's honest and does a great work at a good price. When ask who to go to for car repairs we always say "first choice" The best shop in Shelton!!
