A go to auto repair shop. Took my 15 year old vehicle in for some brake work and a 36 point check up. Brake work was completed quickly and done well. No unnecessary recommendations from the 36 point review - a sign of a trustworthy shop. Clean shop, friendly and professional team. Will be my first choice for any future work.

Good people and honest work. I've been to vern's garage twice now and he gives good advice and provides quality work. Melissa in the office is polite and very helpful explaining work details. Vern's is one of those places that once you work with them, you will never go anywhere else. Honest, sincere and very detail oriented. The pricing is fair, not cheap but better than most and they do it once right!. Book in advance, we use them for everything from oil change to Air conditioning replacement. If I had to recommend a mechanic to anyone in Sequim or Port Angeles, I would definitely recommend Vern and his crew. I took my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for an A/C repair. Vern was able to figure out the problem along with some other minor issues. He had it back to me within 4 days. Very happy with the services provided, along with the detailed explanation of what type of work was needed and the cost.Service: Air conditioning

Driving on the 101 and my truck yeeted its power steering pump pulley. Craparoo, we re on a deadline, really needed to get going. Called up Vern, said he d see what he could do, and do he did! Great mechanic, not so great with preventable maintenance. Didn t even realize how worn the breaks were, despite taking the vehicle in multiple times and asking them to inspect the vehicle to do any work that could be done to it. Didn t even grease any fittings. Other than that when they do work on stuff, they are great, but I don t care about that. I need a mechanic that will for the most part keep up on maintenance.Service: Engine repair

Vern is a lifesaver and a literal answer to our prayers. I was traveling with my wife and 6 kids when we broke down at Lake Crescent. My spark plug blew out on my Ford Econoline. I called literally 50 shops in the area. Most didnt have the technical skill to fix our van and everyone was booked out for weeks or months. I called Vern and his schedule was also jam packed but he came in on a Saturday morning just to help us get back on the road. Vern did a fantastic job and made quick work. Coming in on a Saturday to do specialty work Vern could have charged us anything and we would have had no choice but to pay it. Vern was more than fair with his prices. So honest. We were able to get back on the road the that day to finish our trip home. I cant thank Vern enough for his skill, kindness, and generosity. My only regret is that I cant use him for all our repairs because we live 16 hours away. I highly recommend Vern's Garage for all your auto maintenance and repairs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

It's never a good thing when your vehicle starts making weird noises while in the middle of a road trip vacation, and most auto shops in the area are telling you they are 3-4 weeks out. I called Vern's Garage, and Michael initially told me that they, like everyone else - were backed up at least a week. Having a set itinerary, I figured we were going to have to take our chances with the engine noise, driving down the coast through Oregon and California. Minutes after talking to Michael, he actually called me back and told me he had a cancellation and could fit me in. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue, get a couple of parts, and get us back on the road first thing the next day without having to alter our trip one bit. Top notch customer service, going above and beyond all expectations. This shop is different. So grateful to have found Vern's Garage.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I decided to visit Vern's garage based on the reviews that I read online and boy am I happy I did! Dropped my car off yesterday evening after closing time for 8 in the morning appointment and I was 2 Pick my car up early this afternoon, everything as promised and his prices were very reasonable and I believe he went above and beyond! He did everything I requested and I told him to check the whole car over and if he finds anything and sure enough he did he had to flush my brake system because my fluid had turn that nasty color! I praise him for doing so. There wasn't anything he didn't check on that car because he took very seriously that I was a single woman and that I needed to have complete confidence in the operation of my car and that nothing fails on me! He was very thorough and he explained everything to me in layman's terms and I could not be more pleased! This is one of the little guys, the small businesses we should be supporting! I highly recommend Vern's garage and Mike, the owner, is a rock star in my book! I'm very happy to know that I have found an excellent mechanic for anything that happens in the future and to know that I found him in beautiful Sequim!

Very good, thorough, reliable and honest garage!I had been told by another shop that I needed a complete brake replacement, but decided to go to Vern s . (I have had other work done and was very pleased with their service)Thankfully Vern phoned and said no work was actually needed at this time . When the service engine soon indicator light went on in my 16yr old Mini I was worried I was in for a hefty bill. Vern diagnosed the issue, exhaust issues caused by loose gas cap, reset the indicator light, and then gave me a printout of other issues that the diagnostic equipment had registered and patiently explained what they meant, what I should be on the lookout for, and that they weren t urgent. And then he waved me away, free of charge. What wonderfully competent, kind and honest service. I look forward to being a customer for life.

My brakes completely went out on my car while I was driving, I called Vern s garage and told him about what was going abs he told me I can bring my car to him right away. He did an inspection and topped off my brake fluid and found out the reason why my brakes were out and fixed the issue. I had a car full of kids and he made sure that I was promptly taken care of. I will always recommend Vern s Garage. Very sympathetic and attentive. I am extremely pleased with this experience!!Service: Brakes

I took my 2011 Ford to Vern's Garage for a brake problem. After checking, Vern reported that, if I qualified, my Ford model has an extended manufacturer's policy. He called the dealership and got the ok. Had he not told me I would never have known. He saved me $900. His customer service and honesty has earned my thanks and my business for life!Service: Brakes

Mike the owner of verns garage is a kind and professional man. He tells the truth, he does the truth. The shop is tidy, and they try to get you in promptly and out promptly. I usually do all my own mechanic work because I don't trust mechanics. This is shop is surely an exception. He is the only shop that I trust with my car. He is honest and will give you accurate information and help you as much as possible. I more than highly recommend.
