The legend of Tony is true ! I showed up and he dropped what he was doing to greet me, ask questions about my needs, give advice, and throw in some good jokes /stories at the same time. Car was finished sooner than he estimated without extra unnecessary things done (unlike at dealership where they try to get you on anything). Glad I found a trustworthy, friendly mechanic!

This is my first time to have my car fixed by Tony ,of Tomoko Auto Care,...,,.I am so impressed of his pleasant attifude and services. He is truthful & tells you what really is needed in your car...I was told by other shop that my front & rear brakes need to be fix,when Tony checked it, it is only the rear brakes that is defective!!....and best of all , his charges are affordable!!,I stongly recommend Tony, of Tomoko Auto Care!!

Tony is my go-to mechanic in this city (for many different cars I've brought to him). He's as honest a mechanic as I've found and reasonably priced. You'll be in excellent hands with him.

Tony took great care of me and my car. Brakes were metal on metal and he got me in early on a Saturday and had the job done by the early afternoon for a fair price. I'll be returning for sure.

I've been taking my vehicle to Tony at Tomoko since 2017 and have never had a bad experience. Tony is a great mechanic and runs an honest shop. The couple times I've had expensive repairs, he explained what my options were, what each would cost, and his recommendation.I'd recommend Tomoko Auto to anyone looking for a solid, trustworthy mechanic.

If you're looking for a skilled, honest and reasonably priced mechanic - Mr Tony from Tomoko Auto is your guy!The VW dealership estimated a costly repair for an oil-leak (hours of labor to take out the engine to replace a leaky gasket). Tony found a tear in the oil pan and handled the issue quickly, and for a fraction of the price. There's no upsell here and always good vibes.

The BEST!!! My car was always overheating. Other places quoted me thousands of dollars for stuff that didn t even make sense. Got on the wait list for Tomoko, turns out the radiator was the issue. Tomoko fixed the problem and I never had my car overheat since.Very honest man, a professional (the kind you won t find anywhere), very very knowledgeable and skilled man. Highly recommend

Tony is the best mechanic I have ever had the privilege of working with. He is kind, funny, trustworthy, and so hardworking. Any time I have an issue with my vehicle he does his best to see me as soon as possible (which is usually within a few days that I call, if not sooner). His prices are more than fair and really helped me when I first moved to WA and needed a trusting mechanic to help me with my car troubles.

Tony is a great mechanic, he's affordable, and he's honest. After many years of taking my car to Tony, I've come to trust that he only does what really needs to be done. He communicative about his work, and makes reasonable recommendations. He's very friendly, efficient, and you can tell he's not in it for the money. This is just his craft, and he's good at it. Highly recommend.

Best mechanic I've ever been to! Fair prices, honest, and fast. Tony is great! Make sure to book out in advance because he's usually pretty busy - but he had my tire rod repaired by 3:30 after dropping it off at 8am!Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

Just found this place and took my car to them for the first time. Tony's assessment of the repairs needed and guidance in prioritizing tasks was super helpful, and made it clear that his priority is making aire his customers have safe, reliable vehicles rather than just making a buck or two. I don't see us going anywhere else now that we've discovered this shop.

Took my car in for a clutch + flywheel replacement as well as to install an internal CSC delete kit. I had an original quote from Tony for the labor costs of removing the transmission + installation of all the new parts.They ran into a slight problem installing the CSC delete kit, which added more labor time on their end than expected. Of course, since I brought the parts to them, I expected to be charged a bit more than the original quote since they had to do extra labor because of THE PARTS I BROUGHT. However, when I got the final bill it was the same as the original quoted price..! I felt kind of bad only paying the original amount since they spent extra time installing my parts... But this is how you know they're not out here to just get as much money as possible from you.Anyways, the car feels awesome and am definitely coming back here (sorry, I'll try not bring annoying things to install anymore)!

Came across Tony's workshop in a google map search. Went to fix a check engine light issue and Tony is very knowledgeable and manage to fix the issue at a very reasonable price. Revisited his workshop for a squeaking brake issue and he is very kind to have it checked. Very happy with his service, professionalism and aptitude. He is a very good conversationalist and always enjoy a conversation with him. Highly recommended!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Battery

Tomoko was recommended by my VW mechanic shop, Han's. I had just bought a previously owned Prius and needed spark plugs and a starter coil replaced.I had family coming to town in 3 days, and my vw beetle was not big enough. Tomoko saved my bacon. My car problems were remedied that very same day!Thank you again, Tony!

Tony is the BEST (and most honest) auto mechanic in Seattle, hands down! Yesterday, my alternator failed, stranding me in the middle of Aloha Ave. S.. I had my Toyota Sienna towed to Tony's shop after calling two other very respectable shops and getting quotes for triple the amount Tony quoted me. The tow truck driver and I arrived at Tony's shop in the late afternoon and Tony had me back on the road the next morning. He was busy but he was very gracious to squeeze me in. I had a great conversation with Tony and immediately knew I could trust him, which is saying a lot because my father was a mechanic and I'm familiar with the games some repair shops play, plus I'm one of the most cynical people you'll ever meet. Anyway, I can't say enough good things about Tony and will definitely be using him for all future repairs. He is a magician!Service: Electrical repair

Very honest; Tony told me what needed to be fixed and what could wait and charged a fair price.Just an update:Last week, I starting driving my car and there was no heat. On my ride back home, my cars engine light went on and a temperature warning appeared. I called Tony and he told me to come straight to his shop. He got me in, repaired it in about 3 hours, and got it back to me the same day. He is honest, his prices are incredibly fair, and he's an overall awesome dude.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tony is amazing and I will never bring my car anywhere else because he is the best. He is charming and honest with a killer sense of humor which is all of course lovely, but he also does ZERO upselling, very quickly diagnosed my failed hybrid battery, and had my Prius back on the road so fast I was shocked. He also didn't pad expenses so we paid significantly less than if I'd brought it into Toyota of Seattle. We're talking a difference of thousands. Tony was a lot of fun to talk to and did a great job on my car at a fair price. He was honest and didn't try to hit me with any bait and switch tactics. He even gave me some quality advice that ended up saving me hundreds of dollars, rather than shell out on an expensive repair that he totally could have taken me for. He's a good mechanic and tomoko is where I'll continue to take my business. I ve been going to Tony when he was on Capitol Hill. Very honest, he will try to save you money when possible. Les Schwab wanted to charge me $1200 for brakes! Ouch! Tony did only what was needed for $350. I kept the car for an additional 5 years, never had any other problems with the brakes. Very nice and honest, hard worker. Will bend over backwards to help customers. I ve been going to Tony for a good ten years!

I have been going to Tony for the past 2 years or so. He has been nothing but the most honest mechanic I have known. He will tell you exactly what needs to be done with your car to keep it running without trying to oversell you on services that you don't need yet. He will give you honest feedback on what he thinks you should do about your car, which in some cases might mean selling your car if you don't want to deal with mounting bills.Twice, I have stopped by with a burnt out light bulb, and he has replaced them free of charge.I have recommended many friends and coworkers to take their vehicles to Tony, and I will continue to do so.

A friend recommended Tony to me after the dealership quoted me $3k for an oil leak in my car. I took the car to Tony and he told me it was super common for my car at it's current mileage and I could wait a couple of years to fix it if I wanted. He also quoted me at half the price of the dealership if I decide to get it fixed now. He is super friendly and easy to work with, I will never go back to the dealer after finding such an awesome and honest mechanic to work with. Thank you so much Tony!
