I have been going to Superior Auto Service for oil changes and any issues I've had since 2016. Even though I don't live in the neighborhood anymore, I still prefer to take my car to Ballard! They are so friendly, knowledgeable, and I trust them with my vehicle and safety within so. They're the best!

Consider the measures of a great garage to service your vehicle...Clean, friendly, organized, cost effective, with knowledgeable technician's, then Superior checks all these boxes.Add an even more important measure, would you recommend them to your wife, your daughter, your friend's?I would absolutely!I had my daughter take her Honda in recently and she received the same great care that I always do and will be a Superior customer from now on.Big thanks to all the great folks at Superior Auto!

I scheduled an appointment with Kyle to have our car looked at last Friday for a humming noise and check the fluids. Barb called back with the diagnosis and I approved repairs. Found out it was the starter. I'm very happy with the quality of work they have performed on our Toyota Camry. I've had tune ups and oil changes done over the years by them with reasonable pricing. I recommend them. I'm glad they are a walking distance from downtown Ballard.

Great communication with the front desk people. l Liked the email connection, and all the inspection results. Superior did all the work ask of them and I continue to be a happy customer. First timers ask about drop off parking.

Exceptional service and dedication to quality repairs. I take both our Toyota hybrids here and have been a loyal customer for years. There hasn t been any turnover of staff that I ve noticed, which says a lot. Both front desk folks are professional, knowledgeable, and just down to earth good people. Thanks Superior!

Superior auto figured out the problem with my truck that I've been wracking my brain and scouring the Internet for years to figure out. Super respectful and kept me updated about my truck the entire time. Solid mechanics will definitely be back with any future issues with my vehicles and will be recommending to all family and friends with car troubles.

5 years customer. Consistently strong communication and service. Estimates (both time and $) for routine oil change to larger repairs have been accurate over the years. Makes owning a car fairly painless.

I have nothing but great things to say about the service here. I brought my van in for an initial inspection on a whim and Scott (shout out to Scott in particular as he worked with me the most) , Keith, and the entire team of mechanics have been fantastic in solving all of its issues. They explain what needs to be done and what doesn't, and they stand behind their work. If you're looking for an honest shop look no further! Picture for fun, as without their work my van wouldn't be able to have fun pictures!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Had a wonderful experience with Kyle at Superior Auto. He was quick, responsive, provided updates throughout the process, and took the time to explain what work was done and why and also what work might need to be done in the future so that I could plan accordingly.

This auto service shop is the one I personally trust. From simple oil changes to major work, I've turned to them whenever my vehicle hasn't been running the way it's supposed to. Originally I went to them as my neighborhood shop when I lived in Ballard, but through their honest service and diligent, observant work, I have come to put my faith in them when it comes to my ride. I now live outside Seattle city limits and still bring my vehicles to them. The team at Superior Auto (I say team because I've talked to too many reps and technicians over the decade+ of years to list in a review) listens when I bring issues to them and takes note when I voice concern. They also have a keen eye for when something doesn't look like usual wear & tear. Because of their service and dedication, my previous car lasted 17 years.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Steering & suspension replacement, Tire rotations, Auto A/C replacement, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I came to the shop with a car with many issues because of other mechanics and I was new to the area. I ended up going to the shop six or so times in one year because I'm easily stressed lol. Kyle always took the time to explain issues to me and get my car running good again. The transparency and empathy was refreshing and everyone there is very knowledgable. My car was recently totaled in an accident but once I get a new ride I know where I'll go!

I brought my car in to superior automotive after I realized I may have a coolant leak. The issue ended up being more complex than expected but during the entire process I was kept up to date on progress of diagnostics. Ultimately they told me it was an issue that needed to be taken to a dealership mechanic.Regardless, the superior automotive team told me what their findings were and charged me an extremely reasonable price for the complex diagnostics they had to perform on my vehicle.If you value communication, fair pricing, and kind people they are great!

I cannot speak highly enough of this place and every single member of their staff that I encountered. We brought our car into Superior Auto Service after we had some repairs done by another shop, but then it gave out a horrible death rattle and wouldn t start. The guys at Superior Auto not only found and fixed the problem the other guys missed, but they identified a number of potential future issues and detailed them out for us with a timeline of how to keep our car running. I have never found a more honest and genuinely helpful group of mechanics. These guys are proper Old Seattle, focused on good old fashioned customer service and honest dealings. Seriously, I cannot praise and recommend Superior Auto Service and every employee they have highly enough. If you want good honest dealings, it doesn t get better than Superior Auto.

I will never go to another auto shop if I can help it!!Barb and Kyle are amazing to work with and they are always communicative, friendly, and professional.Whenever I take my vehicle in, they always provide me with a detailed description of what the issue is, whether it's a safety concern, and a cost and time estimate.I've never had to take the car back after getting something fixed and they've never been late on their time estimates. The mechanics are ASE certified and do a great job. 10/10!

From the first call they were accommodating and helpful. During the discovery process I was kept up to date and "in the know" at each revelation. Was given an option with a fair quote and although that was not the final "fix" it was honest and a great first step to finding the main culprit. Once the main issue was revealed, it was a fair price followed up by a very speedy execution. Far exceeded their initial timeline and stayed within the budget proposed. Felt as comfortable working with them as I would a buddy in the industry.

I brought in an older vehicle with multiple issues. They inspected it, gave me prioritized options, and did exactly what I wanted. The pricing was totally fair, no padding the labor or crazy part markups. I really appreciated the clear communication without all the fear-mongering and upselling that is so common in the industry! They were working on a lot of vehicles at the time, but everything was organized and time estimates were spot on. The staff were all very professional and they seemed to work together really well as a team. I wish all businesses were run this way! Is it possible to love the place that services and repairs your vehicles? When you go to Superior Auto it is!These guys are the best! They are so friendly, are great at explaining what needs to, what should, and what MUST be repaired. They are also now my go-to for regular maintenance like oil changes. They do excellent work at reasonable prices. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my Jeeps!

Superior Auto is the only mechanic I'll go to from now on. When my car was stolen and trashed they were one of the only shops in town that would take it. Barb made a really horrendous experience much more manageable. Her calm and understanding demeanor provided me a respite in a moment of chaos. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Superior Auto Service is hands down the best mechanic I ve ever visited. They will walk you through whatever problem your car has, with pictures, in an easy to understand way. They will not take advantage of those with less mechanical literacy. They are immensely trustworthy and masters of their craft. The only downside is that so many people love them, they re almost always booked solid up to two weeks out, but that s not their fault. I d give them 6 stars if I could. A+ mechanic

Update - I discovered about a month after my repair that they also did not finish reassembling my car before handing it back to me. My coolant/wiper fluid reservoir was just hanging loose under the hood for about a month before I discovered it. Now I'm left wondering what else didn't quite happen as it should've. I wish you all the best Superior, and I sincerely hope I am the exception here.Brought my 2007 ranger in for making noise. They ended up replacing my spark plugs and wires and fixing a coolant leak for a total of ~$1500. fixed the problem, kind of expensive, but communicative and seemingly honest - however, they broke my door, informed me they broke it, then offered to quote me a price to fix it. The door has had issues in the past, and the internal latch will come unhooked if the door is slammed very hard - this is a problem I have fixed myself a total of two times in the several years I have owned the car. This is, no doubt, an unfortunate set of circumstances, but I expect and have had plenty of experiences where a mechanic returns the car to me in the condition it was delivered plus the repairs I paid for, and I find it unsettling that the apparent goal of the whole interaction was to avoid liability for their mistakes. I got lucky that the issue was what I thought it was and I was able to fix it myself - that said I'll be looking for a different mechanic.Service: General repairs & maintenance
