Competent, friendly, well managed and Stone's has reasonable pricing. What else could you ask for? My bill was $1800 for a repair that my dealership quoted $5100. Stone's has earned a new customer for life.

This shop came recommended from another shop, which I think is its own kind of compliment. My own experience was top class. The staff are professional and excellent at communication from start to finish. The shop is clean and orderly. The estimate for my work was accurate and the service rates were totally reasonable. I came in to get a fender liner replaced and asked them to also check my breaks. I got the fender liner fixed but i was also told i needed to replace my break pads and rotors. I took my car to a few other mechanics and they all said my breaks are fine and have a lot of life left in them. Shady guys doing typical scummy mechanic tactics. Go elsewhere.

An auto shop with 5 stars is an amazing feat, read the reviews. And then go read review And it was obvious from my first interaction as to why they have 5 stars. When I dropped off my car, Ryan walked me through the very tidy garage and introduced me to one of the mechanics who would be working on my car. I have a twenty year old Audi allroad that is my pride and joy. They went out of their way, I mean really out of their way to help me with an issue I caused. They were so helpful and so friendly. I highly recommend!

They really took care of my car. Did a good job of communicating concerns and helped me to make super informed decisions so I can keep my car on the road and running great. They went above and beyond. Yes they get busy sometimes but they really put their heart in and do their best to get everyone safely back on the road. A+++

I'm a former mechanic, so it's a rarity that I go to a shop for much of anything these days. I found myself in a bind this weekend where my special tool needed to press in ball joints on older Mercedes decided to let me down mid front end rebuild. I called up Stone's and Shane was more than willing to press them in for me. I dropped them off at about 9am and by noon they were ready for pickup! The shop is very clean, Mariah up front was super nice and helpful, and Shane is clearly super knowledgeable. If I find myself needing to bring a car in at some point this will be the first place I call!

I have been meaning to write this review for a while and would give more stars if possible. Shane, Ryan and the whole team at Stone's Garage are rock solid. I have been taking my VW to the team since 2013 and have received incredible service, honesty, reasonable pricing (for German made), and quick work the whole time.Stone's Garage consistently makes customer service a priority as well as superior diagnosing and servicing. Shane genuinely cares about the person driving the car and his whole team are dedicated to ensuring they make it right if there is an issue. I have never write reviews but wanted to write one for Stone's German Garage because I had the best experience and highly recommend! I have taken my car to a number of places over the years and the experience has never been as good as this one! I took my car to the Volkswagen nearby and they misdiagnosed my car and gave me a really expensive quote. They also had me fill out multiple information online and in person.I contacted Stone's German Garage with the list of parts that needed to be fixed and they gave me a quote within an hour. They quickly scheduled time. I took my car in and they had it all fixed within half a day. They were extremely communicative through out the process and so kind when I came to pick up car. I can tell the owner is genuine and take pride in what he does. The car also looked like it had been washed and felt brand new from outside.As a girl who knows nothing about cars, I knew I could trust them without paying a fortune! Shane and his crew are AWESOME!!! I have been coming here for I think at least 6 years if not more. Every time I come in I am greeted so warmly. They really helped me a few years ago when purchasing another Mercedes. They treated me like family and made sure I bought the right car, believe me their patience with me and how many cars I brought in was incredible. Just this last week I went in for an oil change, they took great care of me, and even had my car washed. They are kind, friendly, knowledgable, honest and truly a hard working crew. Thank you all for all that you do!!!

The guys over at Stone s do incredible work. Been going to them for years. Shane keeps his shop super clean and organized something you just don t see at every shop. Ryan is on the ball in the office which makes calling in and scheduling a service always super easy and quick. They book out so make sure you call in advance. After being quoted $2600 through the dealership, I reach out to stones where I was quoted $1300! I of course agreed, and had Dylan work on my vehicle. He was amazing! He continued to go out of his way to make sure my car was in good running condition. After fixing up several oil leaks I had, he had me come in just to check up on all the work. These guys are the perfect representation of a small business that knows what good customer service means! Highly recommended! Stone s German Garage is the most trusting and amazing group of bunch in the Seattle area. They were very trustworthy, they re phenomenal mechanics, and provide amazing value. There was a good chance my car wasn t going to make it out of their garage but they did an amazing job making all necessary replacements. Car runs amazing now and I can t thank the team enough. **THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I WILL TAKE MY BMW TO FOR MAINTENANCE***. This place is amazing! From Ryan, Emma, to Shane this crew is very knowledgeable, dependable and put their customers' interests first. Their prices are competitive and they are trustworthy. They only use OEM parts. I have a 2015 5 series, which is a great car under warranty however most problems occur after the warranty. With that being said I'm glad I have this shop close by and I can rely on them to fix ANYTHING!!Bottom line, They have a life long customer and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.If you have a German car don't read any further reviews just make your way to "Stone's German Garage".Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Oil change

Amazing customer service. My daughter chose Seattle for her university years; and for her third and fourth years, she drove a '99 VW Beetle. Stone's was a reliable, friendly, highly competent place for us to bring it both times before we had her drive it back to Michigan for the summer. This old car has now completed 2 successful 4800-mile trips back and forth between Michigan and Seattle without incident. Stone's did an excellent job with the car, but they also went above and beyond and took the time to get to know our daughter, and by the time she graduated, they were looking at it with concern for her safety as much as for the car itself. I have a 2007 Beetle. After starting to feel like my car was getting "too old" for the dealership to work on, I'm so glad I found this garage! They diagnosed and fixed my car's problem right away, and pricing was very fair. These guys are the best, and have earnd this five star rating. I've brought my car here a few times and not only do they remember me, and have outstanding customer service; they are a great team and take care of my car for a great price. My family is an Audi family, and my dad has always told me to take it to the dealership (But the over price everything)! When I heard about these guys and reading others testimonials, I thought I'll give them a try. My skeptical dad called and talk to them personally and after words he was so impressed he told me this is a great shop don't go anywhere else! (He wishes there was a Stone's in his state!) But all that to say, these guys are hard honest workers, I trust my Audi with no one else. The proof is in how my car preforms and that I'm not being taken advantage of for it. Recently I had the misfortune of a check-engine light on a drive home, thus leaving our car stranded in Seattle. Thanks to Stone's, we were able to drop the car off after-hours, receive a diagnosis by the very next day and complete repairs handled by the following business day.Throughout the process I always felt informed and respected which, when dealing with car troubles, is always the best case scenario. When my mid 90s wagon was stolen (for reasons passing understanding) I decided to change to something newer with modern safety features. Conceptually, a five-door hatch seemed worth a look and so we found ourselves behind the wheel of a MkVII Golf SE. Discovering it's very noticeable driving qualities, long list of features and an unexpected reputation for reliability, it came home with us.The next task was to find a new shop,� since the one who saw to the old wagon was not the right place for the MkVII. The search quickly led to Stone's. Shane introduced himself when I arrived to have a general inspection performed. His assessment and documentation of recommended preventative maintenance for this make and model, at this mileage, was in line with my own research, providing this customer with confidence to order the work.The car has been in his shop but twice, but all signs point to an owner, a team and a business model which inspires trust, the first criteria in selecting an auto service business.***I've had the MKVII Golf back to SGG several times since my first review; I'm here to confirm first impressions, they're for real. Great people, quality service. I won't take my Golf anywhere else. Proceed to Stone's German Garage with confidence.

Took my 2000 Audi TT here for further diagnostic on a camshaft/crankshaft position mismatch code and occasionally no start condition. After having replaced the camshaft position sensor myself the code persisted, and believed the culprit to be a fault crankshaft position sensor, and in fact bought the OEM replacement part in advance for Stone's to install. Ryan and the rest of the team were very helpful, responsive, and efficient while further diagnosing the issue, and eventually came to the conclusion that the timing belt had skipped a tooth. They replaced the timing belt as well as other important parts as preventative maintenance including the water pump, thermostat, etc. While their prices are high, the work is top notch and incredibly quick, my car was in and out of the shop in only a few days. I opted to replace the brakes and a coolant connector myself at their direction. While this work did clear the engine code I was having, a week afterwards my car shut off entirely on the highway while going 80 and would not start again. After taking it back to Stone's, they ascertained that this was in fact caused by a faulty crank sensor as I had told them I believed. I was understandably frustrated that they were going to charge me full price for repairs I had requested but they insisted I didn't need, but was able to come to an agreement with Ryan to significantly reduce the labor cost to something we both felt was reasonable. On the whole, Stone's does great, efficient work and the staff is very accommodating and helpful in informing the customer of the work they're doing and why they're doing it.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Both my wife and I have gone here and had great experiences. The folks at Stones German Garage are very honest, respectful, friendly, and skilled. They do the right thing by their customers. Go here, it s worth it. We don t live in Ballard, but are happy to make a special trip to go to this shop when our car needs work.

German cars can be expensive toys. Shane and Ryan give peace of mind because they know what they are doing and get things right the first time. They can diagnose and solve a problem in an hour that takes 5 at shops that don't specialize in German vehicles. And they are totally honest - saved me a fortune over what my neighborhood mechanic told me. And they were right.Service: Engine repair

Fantastic Shop. Brought in my a3 after my brother suggested the shop. my A3 needed more work than i originally thought ( im not a gear head ) but after doing a bit more research and many phones calls with Ryan who was super patient with me, it all made sense. I was told it would be 3 weeks since they are super busy. I left the car with them and since it was a 90+ degree week asked them to put the sunscreen up. I was able to pick up the car a few weeks early (yay!) and there was a note to tell the tech to put the windscreen up with parked. Honestly assumed they would have just blown me off etc.. so that was a surprise.. Car was washed and ready to go when picking it up.Staff was friendly and professional even when i called back a few times to understand and ask questions about what was going on they were more than happy to help. Recently Sent a friend with his golf to get repairs done and they are working on it now.Finding a shop that has good pricing, friendly nice staff, a very good rep, and treats your car like theirs is almost impossible. I am writing another review because i feel inclined to express how satisfied i am with this shop. Every time i call to setup an appointment, i am greeted by one of the friendly employee's and always do their best to get me scheduled in a very timely fashion. i have never had a problem getting in regardless of how busy this shop is. When i recently dropped my BMW off for service, there was another customer who called in and seemed to be in an emergency situation with her car. The owner of the shop decided to drive out to where the lady was and help her out on the spot. This is not the sort of thing that most business's would do to help their customers out, so it needs to be mentioned. Everyone here would willingly go above and beyond to take care of their customers regardless of the situation. I feel lucky to have found such a great shop, and i will be a loyal customer for life.Customer service is top notch, the mechanics are all very knowledgeable, and the way the business is run is very professional!

We're from Southern California but we're visiting our daughter in Seattle. Our check engine light came on on the trip up. The Seattle MB dealer Sprinter service had a two week plus wait time.Stone's German Garage was able to diagnose our check engine light within 30 minutes of showing up at their shop. Luckily the issue didn't need to be addressed right away, and we'll be able to drive back home next week.The technician we dealt with was friendly, took the time to answer our questions, and didn't charge us for the diagnostic scan. Stone's Garage is awesome! They have worked on both of my Porsches and they are wonderful! They're professional, competent, skilled, friendly, fun, nice, kind, and their customer service is hands down the best I've ever experienced. You cannot go wrong choosing them. Love them!

I had a great first experience with Stone's and would absolutely have them do all my future repairs. Shane identified and fixed the issue with my car quickly. He was extremely generous with his time, accommodating of my schedule, and honest about the extent of the work that needed to be done. Cannot recommend highly enough.
