Scott is incredibly thorough and thoughtful. My bike died and I had only one hunch (old battery) that didn't fully solve the problem. Scott went in and got to the bottom of it, communicating with me along the way. Turned out there was a shorted wire, a blown fuse, and he replaced the headlight and changed the oil, cleaned the carb...even helped me out when I had another issue with the bike about a month after. I will be bringing my bike to Scott from now on!!

Despite being booked for the month, Scottie made some time for my bike that got involved in a low slide crash to diagnose and repair a bent shift shaft issue. He gave a fair breakdown of his pricing for parts and labor as well. Definitely one of the most genuine and friendly mechanics I've met. Thanks, Scottie!Services: Engine repair, Oil changeServices: Engine repair, Oil change

I just returned from a California to Olympic peninsula road trip on my Ducati Multistrada 950. My side stand gave way during a road break and it would be days or weeks to get a replacement from shops in the area. I contacted Scotty and immediately he started to work with me to come up with a solution to repair and reinforce my existing side stand, so I could finish my trip. He did this all in the same day. The repair is solid and I was able to complete my trip as planned. First rate service.

Awesome shop. They service a range of motorcycles and have a DIY space with tools. Got some recommendations for a new battery, Scott was genuine and helpful. Looking forward to going back again soon to use the lift in the DIY space.EDIT: Went back for a spark plug change for a Tenere 700, Scott got them in and everything running smoothly while I did some work in the cafe. Great price, and I know it was done right by someone who cares. Thanks!

A long story to tell you why, if you need any work done on your motorcycle in the Seattle area, you should pay a visit to Scottie's speed shop. They don't make mechanics like Scott - who just want to help - anymore!I Rode from Vancouver, BC to Seattle last Wednesday for a work meeting. After one night in the hotel parking lot in Seattle, I found my rear tire completely deflated and had come off the bead. After a few hours calling around, I couldn't find anybody willing to help where I was. They all wanted to tow the bike away. I removed the rear wheel myself and took it to Jiffy Lube in downtown, where they let me borrow their compressor to reseat the bead. This is the picture on the post.Five hours later, I checked on the bike and found that the rear wheel had lost ~5psi. I called around a few dealerships in the area to see if they could take a look. They were all too busy, didn't want the legal liability, and in most cases the people who answered the phone didn't know what seating a bead meant - classic dealership helpfulness! After more Googling, I stumbled upon Scottie's Speed Shop and called the store. Scott told me he wasn't sure whether he could help, but he'd give it a good go. After I arrived, Scott let me borrow a rear stand to lift the bike and gave me a spray bottle to figure out where the leak was. Scott worked with me for a bit to check the tire. We found that the leak was on a spoke nipple, not something we could fix there and then - I only had one hour before I had to get back to work. Scott first checked if he had tubes we could fit. Then, when he couldn't find any, he lent me some silicone to seal the leaking spoke as best I could. Despite spending 30 minutes with me checking my wheel, Scott's charge for all his support, tools, and materials was $0. That already made him a legend in my books. To top it all off, when I arrived back in Vancouver later that night, Scott had texted me to check that I had made it all right. This is why I will keep going back to Scottie's Speed Shop if I ever need anything for my motorcycle in Seattle.
