After taking a vehicle here two different times for two different repairs, I had to take it to another shop. The clerk is so rude and impatient. I called them beforehand and scheduled for 9:00 to fix my license plate, but when I came in at 8:55 they let me wait for 40minutes and then told me too many people and let me find another shop. Eventually I went to another shop and they changed the plate for only two minutes.

This place is fantastic. It's taken forever to find a reliable, trustworthy mechanic in Seattle. Lioe's is that place. They're reliable, they're transparent, they're fast, and they're reasonably priced. We had a recurring issue for months, so the mechanics at Lioe's took our car in for a week and didn't rest until they could fully understand the issue. Once they had a holistic grasp of the situation, they came up with a solution and continuously tested it until it stopped resurfacing. This kind of service is unheard of from the average shop. Lioe's is a gem. I won't waste my time and money anywhere else from now on.

Trustworthy and reliable. While other mechanics simply gave me a quote for the work, Lioe's told me straight-up that these repairs weren't worth doing unless the car was my baby. I'll be a customer here for a long time coming! Plus I appreciate how personable their team is and that they are a longstanding part of this neighborhood. My family has been taking our cars here for years! They have great service and it's a nice atmosphere. They won't steal your change, "fix" "broken" things, overcharge you, or sugarcoat situations for you. All prices are reasonable. And if they can't perform a service for you they can recommend you to an equally reputable company. I highly recommend that you call ahead of time! Even for an oil change!

Family-owned, honest, and hard working shop that goes above and beyond! After seeing recommendations on the NextDoor app, I brought my '01 Lexus IS300 there to replace my water pump and timing belt. I knew of a specific timing belt/water pump repair kit in mind (AISIN) but didn't want to go through the trouble and delays of requesting it. When I got the car back, I saw that they had used that kit and not a generic brand, I also noticed they fixed my rigid steering issue and my broken trunk cable that has been annoying me for years (as I had to shut off the car, and manually open the trunk with my key). These are side issues I never told them about, but I guess they found them, went ahead and fixed them for me without letting me know. There could be other issues they've fixed I might not know about. This goes to show their care and dedication for each car and to treat it like their own - to use the highest quality parts, and to uphold the integrity of cars new or old. I will refer all my friends here and never go to any other auto mechanic than Lioe's.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've been coming here since 2001 because this family run business is honest, fast, and they do a great job on cars. I've brought some difficult to diagnose weird problems and they always figure it out somehow. Close to the light rail and after hours arrangement for pick up.

I brought my car into Lioe's 10/16/2014. I suspected that my breaks needed changing. I dropped my car off to be worked on and they called me to say that indeed the breaks needed to be changed. I agreed to this service, paid the amount asked ($369.02). I received a printed receipt from Lioe's describing: 1) Front brakes 100%, Rear brakes 60-70%. And was told my car was good to go with no further verbal or written instructions for future repair notes. It is now 11/26/2014. I've noticed a loud screeching noise again coming from what I believed to be my breaks. I take it back into Lioe's to see if they can assist with finding and/or fixing the problem. They instruct me that the screeching noise is now coming from my rear breaks and that to fix it they will have to replace my rotors, calipers, and pads, and that because I "waited so long" (its been a month) to bring the car back , that it is going to cost me $760.00. I was misled to believe, just a little over a month ago, my car was in fine and safe working condition. I find it nearly impossible to believe that my breaks could go from 60-70% one month to metal on metal grinding the next. I fear that my life was put at a risk by this automotive service withholding very important mechanical information that I entrusted in them to provide for me. I should not have been told that my rear breaks were at 60-70% last month, and then now come to find out they are completely in non-working condition. Had I been told this initially, I would have paid 10/16 for my rear breaks to fixed as well as the front. I am now being charged extra to fix a problem that should have already been taken care of. I did not ask for them only fix my front breaks. I asked for them to fix and replace anything that needed to be fixed concerning the breaks- for my safety- and they did not. The reason why I bring my car to a mechanic is because I lack the knowledge needed to identify or fix this problems myself. It is their job as a automotive business to tell me, the customer, what I need for my car to be safe on the road. Had I been offered or even told that my rear breaks were in such condition I would have had them replaced that very day. But no such thing was told to me. I believe this was done to put me in this exact situation- where I am now paying hundreds of dollars more for a service that could have been prevented only a month ago. They were totally unwilling to give any kind of discount for their wrong doings and my inconvenience. Despite the other reviews, this place is dishonest, unprofessional, and inexperienced in their field to say the least. Lastly, as a woman I hate when I am treated differently by men in the automotive community. This place will try (and succeed) at taking advantage of you if you bring your car here. If you want to be spoken to in a condescending manner and straight up LIED to and charged exorbitant prices for their mistakes, by all means bring your automobile to Lioe's.

My gear-head father instilled in me a skepticism about all auto mechanics, and I remain somewhat skeptical. However, I started taking my vehicles to Lioe's over 10 years ago and have never had reason not to trust Kenny or the staff at Lioe's. From my Mini Cooper S and my Corolla, to my Forester and trucks, I've paid them plenty of money in 10 years, but have always been satisfied with the service. I left Beacon Hill a couple years ago to live in the foot hills east of Issaquah and tried a few other mechanics nearby, but most left me pretty underwhelmed and wishing I'd gone to Lioe's. I just recently brought my business back to Lioe's; 10 years of earned trust is worth the extra drive for me.

Just had my AC inspected and serviced at Lioe's after being recommended this place by the dealer I bought my car from. They had everything done within a few hours and my AC is now gloriously cool once more. Thank you! :-)

They charged me $700 to replace the alternator on my car. Alternators generally run for $100-$200. Worst part is, they didn't even fix the problem. My car broke down again a week later. The battery cables weren't connected properly. It was pretty obvious. I had to get it repaired again. How do you not notice that for $700?

Fast, transparent and high quality service. My cars run well despite their age thanks to them maintaining. You have to do your job to bring your vehicle in when due for service

Dropping the car off was a weird experience, but these guys were able to diagnose and quickly repair the issue with my car - and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Very affordable and, while I hope to never have to come back (fingers crossed), will use them for my motor work in the future.

Had my oil changed here because it was the closest place to my house and am so happy I did. They were fast and reasonably priced. Actually referred my sister here. If I have any other issues I'll certainly go back.

They always close early. We called ahead to inform them we would drop our car off before they closed. And they said that would be fine. We drove all the way to their shop and they were closed. It was 15 minutes before their closing time. Their service is not the best, and their punctuality is terrible. Don t bring your car here.
