Karl is an honest businessman. Tells it like it is and gets you back on the road with reasonable prices. Never had to go back for a refund, my vehicles always worked the first time around. Antwone and Jordan are good mechanics too.

These guys are great. I've taken all our family's cars there. They're busy but they do good work at a fair price and are up front and honest.

This shop is a friendly shop but there are a couple issues I have when I took my car here, it took me getting my car inspected by another mechanic a year later to realized the issue.Around last year I came in for my car to get inspected due to vibration when accelerating, and I suggested that it might be an engine mound because I already had work done on this car by this very same shop, without the issue being resolved. They decided to check for themselves which was ideal because they are professional and they ended up confirming it was the engine mound. They also replaced other parts for my car before but it didn t get rid of the vibrations when accelerating which led me to believe it was the engine mound.Today I went to a mechanic to get my car inspected and they pointed out that the engine mound wasn t put on properly and wasn t secured/tightened. I spend over $1,000 at lake city auto work just for the part to not be put on correctly. This was the second time I came to lake city auto where I had other work done to the car, and spent quite a bit of money, and I find it odd that they would over charge a returning customer for work that hasn t been done properly. The new mechanic replaced the part that lake city auto work apparently replaced and now the car drives like new.In conclusion, I m disappointed that Lake city auto work would tell me they replaced a part that has not been done properly which caused me to think the car had other issues and caused me a lot of money due to lack of quality of work and misdiagnosing. It also makes me suspicious what other things they done on my car that hasn t been done correctly, because even after the first time I got my car worked on there, the car still would have slight issues which caused me to come a second time to get engine mound to get replaced . Even after getting engine mound replaced, lake city auto work suggested to replace spark plugs, and coolant temp sensor for another $1,000 but I m glad I didn t take them on that offer because the new shop was able to fix that issue the engine mound, coolant temp sensor and spark plug for well under $1,000. Despite all these issues, at least they was friendly about it

Carl has been working on my cars for several years now and I finally decided to drop a review after he fixed my Toyota Prius engine issues.Carl hands down is the best mechanic out there. I drive older higher mileage vehicles and the number one thing I look for is what does the car actually need and will the mechanic be honest with me about those issues. Most mechanics around Seattle want to sell you on every single little problem with higher mileage vehicles. The problem is that doesn t make any sense at all and it s not smart business. You ll end up spending way more then the car is worth. Just go buy a new car! But Carl understands what a car needs and what it doesn t and most importantly, he s honest with you about the process. Sure if you want to fix EVERY problem he ll do it for you but he will also tell you exactly what the critical issues are to keep you running safely and still drive your higher mileage vehicle. Exactly what I want and need! I can t recommend lake city auto works enough. Even if you re driving newer vehicles. The prices are competitive and the service and honesty is outstanding. Don t go to the other mechanics who are just plain lazy and will charge you fees up the ying Yang just so they can say they fixed your car fixing every single non essential item. Work with Carl at lake city auto and you won t be disappointed!

This place was recommended to me by several different people, and I can see why.I've used Lake City Autoworks several times over the years, and I've been thoroughly impressed with their service. Staff is courteous and helpful, even going as far as to give me a ride home in their personal vehicle while I waited for my car to be serviced. I've seen cheaper mechanics, but LC Autoworks does the best quality work in the area. There's even been an occasion or two when they have discovered ways to save me a significant amount of money (over $1000 in one instance). Their honesty, integrity, and quality work keep me coming back. Highly recommend!

To say an autobody shop is honest, ethical, polite and very customer service oriented is almost unheard of. Not here. I trust them and have referred people who then in turn, refer people. Lake City Autoworks has a 4.9 rating for a reason: They're good, very good.

Very helpful, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Lake City Auto was super quick to correct an oversight on a small repair for my Honda CR-V and went above and beyond to make things right. Check the rating and call them before I go in !Good service ! Good price ! Quick diagnosis cost only 80 dollars . Way lower than the other car shop .Very patient with the customer !Take care of my engine problem for 1100 dollars ! I guess that is a reasonable price for the problem!They got the problem dealt with in 2-3 hours after we drop in the car because they won t let us drive with car with engine problems. They care !Very efficient and effective service to me !

Karl and his crew are great people and definitely stand by their work. There were a couple times when he pointed out some things that he thought I could replace myself to save money. They don't nickel and dime you and offer great service.

I think the guy overcharged me for a part that I didn t need imma have to go get it checked by the dealership and see was it even changed in the 1st place cuz the problem that it really was i knw don t cost as much as I paid so I may need a reimbursement

I will for now on only go to Lake City Autoworks. My coworker referred me initially. After a long (very long) car-problem saga (the details of which I won't list here so it doesn't run off the page), I was very happy to have Karl and his team in my corner and to have their expertise. Everyone is professional and down-to-earth, which is exactly the kind of thing you hope for after getting your car stolen and fubared. My car came out of the shop even better than before it had been stolen. I am a former employee of this shop and wanted to give my honest opinion about this place now that i have moved on. I've worked in a few shops that were "rip offs and scammers" but this is NOT one of those places. this is as legit as it gets. Karl's customer service is on point. his prices are very fair, he doesn't tack on additional charges for nothing. very detailed and honest about the work being performed, very good technicians that do all of the repairs by dealer specifications. I will always refer my side work to this company now that i am too busy to do any of it, and that is because i know my clients will be taken care of and not scammed or ripped off. Yes i highly recommend

Karl and his team are the best! I ve gone to them for all of my services since I moved to Seattle and I couldn t be more pleased. Just today I went in for what we thought was a faulty wheel sensor. Karl took a look at it and turned out that my steering sensor was off by a bit. They got it reset within minutes and everything was good to go, no charge. I can t thank them enough for how they ve treated me so far, and I refuse to take my Nissan anywhere else. They ve got such a great rating for a reason. I highly recommend them. :)

Like the neighborhood, trustworthy auto specialists of years past that you are looking for. I've been bringing my cars here for many years now. I even commute quite a distance to do so. The gentleman that runs this shop is a man of great integrity. I never have to worry when I bring my car here. No matter the issue my car has, I know it will be fixed properly, the quote will be fair and I can trust they are honest.Highly recommend.

I have been coming to Lake City for 3.5 years and have been extremely satisfied with the people, the work, and the pricing. Driving an old car can be a little nerve wracking so I visit Lake City annually for them to check that everything is working correctly. They always do a very thorough diagnosis, explain the issue, and give me the options moving forward. They are professional and fair. I will continue to bring my car because every time I leave their shop, I feel confident that they have taken care of everything and I m going to be safe on the road.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

Didn't charge me and arm & a leg just to plug it into the computer for diagnostics.. and the job ended up being a little less than originally quoted which speaks to integrity. REALLY appreciate this!!! I recently took my car into the dealership to get an oil change (free with the purchase of my used car) and told them my check engine light was on. The dealer told me it would be $250 to plug it into the diagnostic machine. Lake City was fairly priced and did the job quick. They are super friendly too!!! Highly recommend!

I have received great service from Lake City Auto Works for several years. I always trust that they are giving me great and quick service at fair rates. Recently our old, beat up Buick would not start. After a check up and discussion, Karl thought it would not be worth repairing - even though it would have earned him a lot. Instead he offered to help us find a newer car. This route led to a better situation, and he thoroughly checked out the new car before we bought it. And he did not even charge us for the old car's analysis or 10-day storage until I could donate it. Now that is great service and earns our continued trust.

We have been taking our vehicles to Lake City Autoworks for years. We most recently needed work done on our Subaru Forester. We had taken the car to the Subaru dealership twice, but were still having issues. Karl and the team quickly diagnosed a leaking gasket and a few other issues and fixed everything quickly. They perform high quality work with exceptional professionalism and deliver great value. Karl is amazing and his crew is excellent. Karl is honest to a fault, fair in all things, creative with solutions, and nice to boot. When several places (including dealers) said our engine needed to be replaced, Karl had an idea for how to resuscitate the engine (cheaply) and it worked! He fits us into his busy schedule when it s urgent. I've been meaning to write a review for this shop for a long time. I'm fairly savvy with my vehicles and but when there's something more than I can handle I always, without a doubt, take it to Karl at Lake City Auto works. I've been referring my friends and family to him for years; all have reported that they were treated well and the service was done properly at a fair price. I've had them do really big jobs (transmission replacement) to little things too; They can do it all. There's no other place I trust more for my cars. Great place!! Highly recommended!! I've taken my cars to them several times and always been treated right. Once I took it in to have some regular maintenance done that I had previously had done there several months before and instead of taking advantage of forgetful me, they let me know I had already had it done. My girlfriend also had work done there and when she found out it was covered under warranty by the dealership, they didn't charge a dime, even though they had already done significant work.

Carl and his team are running a top notch shop. I first went in a few years back when I thought my clutch went out, Carl had it fixed in an hour and the repair was only a new clutch hose. After that service I have gone to Carl for preventative maintenance and oil changes. He is a very trustworthy mechanic. Highly recommended if you live in the LCW!
