Avoid this place. Their quote for a part was $750+ while I found it an an auto part store for $400. The labor + part + inspection fee was over $1,000 while competitors were cheaper and more honest about the process. I asked for an email summary of the repair plan, but this body shop could not provide it to me. They asked me to trust them and remember everything by word of mouth. I'd much rather have everything in writing beforehand.The body shop replied with a horrible take. The part I sourced was from Toyota themselves for $420. They tried to say a Toyota brand part was cheap. Don't believe when they respond to these bad reviews. Most responses before now were low effort excuses to valid complaints.

Super good customer service. VY pronounced ( Vee)is the man to talk to. He will take care of you.you can call, and talk about car issues,and estimate. He will keep your estimate in mind when you come in, unless other issues are found,and need to be addressed. Real good fast service as promised, or even better. Real reasonable price. Honest, direct, no games, no over pricing, good quality workmanship, trust worthy, reliable, knowledgeable, good location, cares about his customers. That is all what we need in auto repair/ mechanic shop.Update 08/ 2022 again this auto repair shop, proved they are trustworthyWhen you have car troubles, and you think must do repairs, Then clearly think only Kellan Auto repair .Saved us so much time,Saved us so much from worrying about the repairs& the hassle to be without the car, and the hassles that comes with the car repairs.Not only that, repairs were so quick, and saved alot of money.

Trustworthy, honest, and competitive pricing. Owner will give you straight easy to understand answers. If the work takes less time he ll refund you the difference.I ve brought all my vehicles here for the last 5 years. From timing belts, wheel bearing replacements, oil changes, and routine check ups. Highly recommended!

Best mechanic experience, EVER. You do not need to order parts and go on YouTube to figure it out yourself. Vy (Vee) is an excellent and very reasonably priced ACTUAL mechanic, so just have it done by the professional, lads. I knew I needed new rear brakes: pads, rotors, etc. because my normal mechanic in Bremerton (that I really trust) gave me estimate for this months ago. My Toyota 4Runner back window gasket was also leaking and filling up the back hatch with water, but I was going to have to take it to a totally different TOWN for that, and leave it. Tail light housing was broken, so I ordered one (customer supplied part, no problem). Then my headlight bulb went out.I took it in to Kellan 2 days ago morning because they open in the actual morning time. Area is near Dearborn Goodwill which is a cringe location, but the shop is SO juiced up with cameras that once I went in, I felt totally safe to leave my car. Within 2 hours I had a complete estimate on email of all service I requested that I could accept or decline, item by item. I said !yes. Once the actual work started to be done, I get another estimate he noticed my other headlight bulb is about to go out so just take that whole housing off that one too, he had an extra one, just add $10? Yes!Every step of the way, you can say no or yes. I got my car back THIS morning after I said yes to very small extra charges. He was going to eat the expense if I said no, you guys! Vy is a gentleman. He is young and very smart. He has a pompadour if that helps you understand. He will look after your vehicle and you should be so lucky as to even GET TO go to Kellan!If Kellan ever needs help FOR ANYTHING , we are right up the street.

Taken my car here twice, both times the jobs have been done the same day when every other shop has had me waiting at least a day to even get my car in. Vy is fairly priced, friendly, and very quick and efficient.

These guys know what they are doing. I got into a minor wreck and had my car towed there. And after 2weeks I was shocked when I went to pick it up, it looks better than it did when I first got it. It handles better to! They even went to extra mile and gave it a quick wash before give me the keys! Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend!!

They cut corners on the repairs and I ended up having to bring the car back 15 minutes after driving it off. Take your money elsewhere

Kind and personable service. Could not locate the cause of the noise my car was making (a bolt was loose in the sub-frame) , however did not charge a service fee.

Recently had an engine issue and had to find a spot on a Saturday to see what was wrong. (Most auto repair spots are closed Saturday). They were able to take my car right away, gave a speedy estimate and then fixed it only a few hours later. Great service and reasonable prices.

I can t believe I found the ONE honest mechanic in Seattle. Vy, the new owner, is an incredibly smart and knowledgeable mechanic. And he won t rip you off! What a gem!

I am so happy that I was referred to Kellan Auto Repair. I had to get an engine replacement and of course it was an expensive repair- I was very nervous to go to any mechanic. I got it changed in June and my car is running better than it was when I purchased it. I have brought it back since then for an oil change as I want to see Vy regularly to avoid needing another engine! He is very personable, friendly, and trustworthy. Each time the service was super fast. Even with the engine swap I was very impressed by the turn around time. He gives a great warranty on the parts and labor- he has trusted suppliers and he stands by his work. Anytime I have a question or concern he is there to answer and always invites me to just bring my car by so he can check it out in person. Gives me such peace of mind. So happy I found someone to keep my car in good shape!!! Thanks so much Vy!! My car window was smashed late one night and I was calling around in a panic on Sunday as I was scheduled to leave for a work trip. Although they were not able to replace my window on Sunday (no supplier in Washington was), I was able to be seen on Monday which is a fast turn-around. It was easily the cheapest out of any auto glass replacement service I found by over $100, and the communication was prompt and thorough. They also did a great job vacuuming the glass out of my car in all the cracks it made its way into. I'm so glad to have found another local auto shop and hope to support this business through routine issues in the future.Service: Auto glass replacement

Trusted place. Charges 1/2 the price that Pepboys does. Value for money and mostly car is complete the same day that they take it if you drop off in the morning. Accepts cash/credit/debit. These guys really went above and beyond and won me over big time.I was stranded in the city with a broken starter. They called the tow truck for me and coordinated the pickup of the car within the hour. Then gave me a reasonable quote and had the repair completed all on the same day.The previous 7 mechanics I had called were booked out for weeks. One mechanic that I called was located only 2 blocks away from my car just said "good luck!"These guys are the best in the business. Thank you!

This was a couple years ago I went here. My vehicle broke down on Christmas Eve. I had recently moved to Seattle and this shop was very close to where I live. They fixed the vehicle on Christmas Day and did a really good job! Another time I went there for an oil change and the dip stick holder got broken. I was told that that happened and to get the part. My husband had to replace the dip stick holder but it wasn t to complex. Haven t been back since the oil change.*Have been back a few times. The place is under new management since my last review of them. I actually think they were perhaps a bit better before the new management.. Don t get me wrong they do good work still but it seems pricer than before. 70 bux just to change a headlight is a lot in my opinion.

Vy is a professional and very good at what he does. After being ripped off at another repair shop, I had many doubts about fixing my car around Seattle before finding Kellan Auto Repair. From my initial talk on the phone to meeting Vy, I knew I could trust him. He is honest, fair in his fees/prices and tells you exactly what is wrong with your car. He has helped me multiple times over the last few months fixing my van and every time he goes above and beyond with his service. One day despite being busy with multiple cars, he made time to fix my car. You can always trust him and he will always have your interests first. He has amazing technicians who work with him too. I m always taking my car to Kellan Auto Repair if I have any issues. Vy and Kellan Auto Repair deserve recognition. I've been going to Kellan's pretty exclusively for a few years now. My experience has consistently been good work at a fair price. Very recently someone broke a window on my truck and when I discovered it in the morning I drove straight to Kellan's and asked if it was something they could repair. They said it might take all day to procure the new window and install it. In fact they called me at a little after one to tell me it was ready. Very happy to have found this shop. Was referred by a friend who has a landscaping/garden design business. She takes all her vehicles to Kellan's.

This place outright scammed me.I went in for a replacement catalytic converter after mine was stole while traveling. I preferred an after-market part (~$400), but they said they only had a brand new part available (~$1,200). They did the repair, but the car was sounding different (and they refused to take another look at it), so I took the car to another shop. This other shop said the repair was done wrong AND that they'd put in a cheap after-market converter despite charging me for the brand new one.So they lied about the parts so they could overcharge me at least $800 and they botched the repair. Avoid this place.Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

Very professional, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about about your mechanical needs. Erick has a lot of good qualities, like being honest. I have taken my car to another auto mechanic for my Hyundai Accent but they didn't do a good job. A friend recommended Kellan's Motorworks, and I.am happy I went. I highly recommend this place

My truck engine seized across the street from the Kellan shop. They helped push it across the street and kept it in their shop until they secured a replacement engine which they furbished with a new timing belt, water pump, seals and belts. They communicated expenses up front and were fair and honest

If you're looking for a mechanic that would treat you like your family, tell you the news straight, give you fair pricing, stick to their word, you found one in Erik. I went to another shop briefly after having bought my old Jeep, thinking I needed a "jeep specialist." I came crawling back to Kellan's, and I walked away smiling.Just one example of their fabulous work: I needed my exhaust manifold replaced. I was quoted by the other shop and 3 others that I called $950 at the lowest, around $1100 on average, and $1250 on the high end. They all said would cost more if a bolt broke, as would take extra time.Erik quoted me $750. I knew he did excellent work. He ordered the part, got me in lickety split, called me when the job was done that day. I came in, and he apologized for it taking longer than he had thought. A BOLT BROKE and it took him extra hours to fix it (he shows me the broken bolt, -In my head - shoot, more money). He goes to check me out and DOES NOT EVEN CHARGE ME FOR THE EXTRA TIME! I tell him I am surprised by this. He says he sticks to his quotes.I told him, YOU, good sir, now have a customer for life.I will not take this car, or any car I will ever own to any place but this.He gives you honest advice, telling you things that need work now and things that can wait. I trust him. And it feels mighty nice.

Honesty is the best policy and that is what they practice. I had my car towed there thinking that I might need to replace my fuel pump. To my surprise, I was told that I simply ran out of gas. Apparently, I was fooled by the defective gas gauge. My point is that they could have change out the fuel pump and that would cost me quite a bit. However, I only paid $10 for the gas they put in for me. Thank you Eric, Scott and the rest of the team. I will definitely go back there for my future car repairs.

I had an emergency and Kellan s was the only one who got me in after calling 12 other shops. They fixed it within an hour, were professional and fair. I would absolutely recommend them and am very thankful
