I needed replacement of both tail light assemblies on my pickup. Jeff suggested I obtain the parts myself and they would install. I followed the sage advice and saved a good bit of change. Johnson's always goes the extra mile, doesn't do unnecessary work, and is frank and forthright with recommendations.

Always takes time to explain..never, ever over charges, sometimes will do inspection without charge. Jeff great with his knowledge, his schedule and the work

Jeff Johnson is an honest repair shop. Johnson's informed me that the "recommended service" the dealership was suggesting wasn't needed for at least 10000 miles, and in some instances, not at all.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Johnsons auto repair came through for me at a critical time. My car batter died and they used their jumper to get me going again. They also gave me great service when I botched my solo brake repair. This is a shop with good honest people. They have been in business a long time, and built their reputation.Thanks!

They are the best mechanics I ve ever used. Fair, honest, smart. 10/10 would recommend.I do simple maintenance on my car like oil changes and basic repairs. Whenever I can't handle it I bring it Johnson's. We have been using Johnson's auto repair for several years. They always provide quality service. I decided to write a review because they charged me for parts, but not for labor, for replacing my headlights. My headlights were not a simple at-home replacement (I tried; youtube lied). The headlights were a special type and I would not have been able to do it myself. However, it took the repair man just a few minutes. They are professional and kind. When you see a full parking lot at a repair shop, like at Johnson's, you know that shop is a good one.

Had my Honda timing belt done recently. Work was completed promptly. Communication was excellent, and price was very fair. Will definitely be a return customer.

I was recommended this place and was happy to see so many good reviews but unfortunately I had a bad experience. I came in for an oil change and a basic inspection '07 Honda Accord. When I made the appointment the man sounded bored and annoyed. I was hoping to be greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable because of the recommendation and reviews. But I never felt heard or welcomed, and felt rushed to drop off my car instead of talking about what I wanted them to check for. The owner was talking on the phone the whole time I was doing the check-in process, which is fine - I understand he has other customers to attend to - but he waved me out the door before he hung up and so I didn't feel like I could tell him what my concerns about the car were.Two days after they serviced me, the malfunction indicator lamp came on. My car stalled out at a stop light. The diagnostic said gas too lean. Johnson's had checked my air filters so I figured they bumped something that caused it to malfunction in that way (I cleaned air filters, cleaned air sensor, checked gas cap, etc.) *edit* I took it to another mechanic and they said the purge solenoid was pulled out of the intake hose. Johnson's seems to have just forgotten to put it in the right way. Cost me $130 for a different mechanic (friendlier, more trustworthy) to find this simple mistake.The other issue is that they reinstalled my brakes wrong and now they scrape/rub when I brake. I would have gone back and asked them to fix these issues/refund but they had been so short and uninterested in me previously that I didn't feel comfortable interacting with them again. Very disappointed I had this experience after so many fantastic reviews. Good thing was the oil change didn't take too long, about 4 hoursServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Great repair shop in north Wedgewood neighborhood. Proper turn over rate. Fair pricing for the quality work performed. Been there a while, so fitting in to their work schedule requires patience among long-term generational customers that know quality takes time to perfect.

I rarely write reviews but I was very impressed by the service here. We were on a tight schedule preparing to move to a different state when we discovered one of our tires were flat the morning we were departing. We called a few local repair shops at 7:30am and Johnson's Auto Repair told us to come right in. We were helped immediately by Ian and the repair took fewer than 5 minutes. Ian did a great job on the tire patch and we received wonderful customer service. I appreciate that they were extremely accommodating on such short notice and would definitely recommend Johnson's Auto Repair.

Do not come here. Unprofessional and untrustworthy. Misdiagnosed my vehicle completely, telling me a few hundred dollar repair when the reality is it s over $8k to get the necessary components even to a safe and drivable condition.

Johnson's was easy to schedule my truck to diagnose an issue. Quick turnaround ,great communication, & fair price. I've run into issues with repair shops before so this was quite pleasant.

I would not recommend this shop. I had them replace a steering pump which they charged me $1000 for and it took them almost a week. Got the car back and the pump still leaks. Brought it back to them and they kept the vehicle for 3 more days and told me they couldn t find anything wrong with it. They don t seem to have the technical expertise that is needed for modern vehicles.

Johnson's has quickly become my go-to auto shop since living in the area. I, as well as my partner and our roommate, have each taken our vehicles to Johnson's multiple times over the years and have been pleased with the service every time.The folks at Johnson's are honest and straightforward, I don't feel like I am being oversold or pushed to shell out for unnecessary or extra services. I was recommended to try this place out but I didn't have a great experience. First, I feel that they overcharge. Second, I went in with a bad wheel bearing, told them that, and they said no everything is fine. So they charged me just for the time to check it out, as shops do when they don't find an issue. It was like $120 or something. Waste of my time and money. The very next week, I bring it in and they realized that the wheel bearing was actually bad. It's been bad for 5 months so it wasn't a new, barely there issue. They did apologize but didn't do anything else, such as deduct the diagnostic cost, or otherwise give a discount. It was over $400 for one wheel bearing on a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, so it seemed a bit steep to me. They were really kind and beyond quick to fix it though, even without an appointment.

I visited Johnson's earlier this month to have the transmission fluid changed in my Mazda Millenia. The entire process from scheduling an appointment to picking up my car that day was extremely simple. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. A great recommendation. I plan on calling them again the next time I need auto repairs done.

Have taken every vehicle that we have owned to Johnson's for over 20 years including a BMW M3 and a Ford Lightning. They are honest, efficient, no nonsense, and reasonably priced; often cheaper than expected. You can trust that they will not "uncover" a repair that you didn't know about. They have even performed small repairs and fixes that they've no-charged me as a courtesy.An amazing business that I am blessed to have close by!

Wasn't happy with this place... they seem like the mean well enough but left me very dissatisfied. Called one day interested in a few things. Was told come drop the car off with a list. They had my vehicle for two days and never called. Finally I stopped by to check in and found that nothing on the list had been done. They'd given me a oil change I didn't request and that wasn't on the supplied list. To top it off, they did a lousy job with the oil change i didnt ask for because my vehicle was smoking and smelled like burnt oil afterward. Nice enough people but terrible terrible service.

Our beloved 2002 Tahoe needed lots of work but Johnson's brought it up to snuff for a reasonable price.We drove it out to Arizona with no problems.Johnson's were very good and have checked back with us to see how it's going.I highly recommend them.

The gang at Johnson's has been my repair facility for 6-7 years. I ve never had anything but a good experience. I know from experience that they stand by their work. No hassles. My brother, Scott, is an ASE Certified Mechanic in Indiana. When I go to Johnson s I get the same feeling as if I m being consulted by Scott. I highly recommend Lee, Bill, and the gang to handle your repair needs.

Great local automotive shop. I've been there a couple times with both foreign (Honda) and domestic (Ford) vehicles. They tell it to you straight. I will definitely be using them more if I need help in the future. Crossing my fingers I will not need their help, but no car or truck is perfect so inevitably I'll be back.

I would give them less than one star if I could. I called a week ahead of time and told them I wanted to see how much work was needed on my car, or should I get rid of it. They told me to bring it in at 7:30 am on Wednesday and "you might have to wait at a coffee shop for a couple hours or something." So I did that. And when I returned after a couple hours they told me they hand't even looked at it yet!

Johnson's diagnosed an issue with my clutch that another shop around town couldn't - and they even were nice enough to throw on a new nut/washer to my windshield wiper when they noticed it wasn't working. I love this place. I would have my car towed past 100 different autoshops, if needed, to get my car to johnsons auto. They are honest and cheap.
