On a busy work schedule, I managed to take an hour break to bring my car for maintenance. I was told it will be ready by 3pm. I did not receive any call until then, So I called and found out that they were not going to repair my car because it might have had an accident. At least I would have expected a call back to let me know. I suspect they were busy and either forgot about my car, or they just prioritized other clients. I was very disappointed. This is really unprofessionalCommunication, honesty and work ethic should be the fundamental keys to building trust with new customers

One of my TPMS sensor is broken, and was looking for a local shop to replace it. Scheduled an appointment with Downtown Automotive and went in. I brought my own TPMS sensor for them to swap out, but they insisted on using their own programmable TPMS for it, as they had bad experience with TPMS sensor brought by customers that didn't work. That is a reasonable reservation, so I explained that the TPMS sensor I brought in is the same as OEM, and my car can auto-relearn the sensor without any additional programming needed. However, Downtown Automotive insisted that no matter what type of TPMS sensor, it has to be reprogrammed manually, and they have to use their programmable TPMS sensor, which they quoted 80 dollars for parts alone. I even went to say all they need to do is an installation, and if any lights come on then it's on me, but they still didn't budge. I understand having a policy against customer supplied parts, but the fact that they didn't know some cars can auto-relearn matching TPMS sensors makes me question their knowledge. Or maybe it is just an excuse for them to sell their 80 dollar TPMS sensor (for refrence I got my sensor for 27 bucks). Went to another shop and got the TPMS sensor swapped. After driving the car for 5 minutes, the check tire pressure light is gone and the car auto connects to the new TPMS sensor without any additional programming.

I recently moved to Seattle from California and was looking for an auto shop for my general maintenance/oil change. My partner recommended this shop and I'm so glad I chose to come here. The service here is phenomenal. Not sure if I've had bad luck in the past, but I've had a hard time finding quality shops that feel trustworthy and/or push me to add on unnecessary services. Lori made me feel very comfortable and is very knowledgeable. Overall the service was great, prices are reasonable and the staff is awesome. I will definitely be coming back for any auto services. Sweet, down to earth people who have a strong knowledge and passion for what they do. Even as a young women they didn t try to scam me and was actually very understanding to my situation. Only downside is because I came at 4 PM and they close at 5 the man wasn t really listening to my problem and wanted to get out for the day to the point he forgot to even ask me for the keys. But I was stranded on the side of the road and they even referred me to a tow truck that has specialized rates to tow to them as I had a tight budget. Great shop and great experience. The women I spoke with for the majority of the interaction was absolutely great.

If you re looking for an auto shop this is the BEST place in town! They were able to get my van in right away and fix major repairs within a day! Lori is communicative and honest! The whole staff did an amazing job for a fair price! I am so thankful I found them!

My car one day decided to not turn on. I had it towed with AAA, and I wasn t sure which shop to take it to, so I brought it to the closest shop near me which was Downtown Automotive, conveniently located in SLU. My car had a number of things to be replaced, and Lori made sure to update me every step of the way and was very good about communicating what it was that was wrong, when it would be repaired by, and all the ins and outs. She and her staff did a great job fixing my car and it runs really nicely now. It was also pretty fast considering that I brought it in close to the weekend and they were already a bit busy. The cost of labor was really not bad, and because I used AAA, I got 10% off the total! Overall outstanding service, both in customer relations and quality of work.Service: General repairs & maintenance

In Seattle for a family emergency. Lori was exceptional with her communication & willingness to get my Jeep in for servicing ~promptly so we could get back home to work/school two states away! Mechanics did speedy work with a very involved work order. High level of care & expertise! I am so very grateful to the entire team for helping my family out in our time of need & am extremely grateful to have been treated like family too. They showed compassion & support! Downtown Automotive is a true Gem!

Great experience! I was very anxious about the issues my car was having, but Lori explained everything and answered all my questions. When I picked up my car, Lori showed me the actual part they removed from my car that needed to be replaced and explained what was wrong with it. I appreciated the thoroughness and professionalism of Downtown Automotive and would recommend to a friend :)

Since first visiting when I moved to the area two years ago, I have never once been disappointed in my experience with their business.

Lori is awesome and so are the people who have worked on my old Tucson. They are honest and genuine folks. I have felt they have given me good information about my car and repairs needed without upselling or pressuring me to get work done. They are upfront about costs. Out of all the places I ve gone for car repair, oil changes, etc. I prefer Downtown Automotive and will continue to do business with them. Many thanks to all their help and support!

Just had my civic s completely dead battery replaced, superb experience. The crew is professional and welcoming. Most importantly, they are honest; quotes are fair and upfront, and they do not try to upsell me any unnecessary service.

Walked into my garage to see the rim of my tire almost on the floor and a big ol screw stuck right in the tire. Called up Downtown Automotive, found out they had walk ins, and had it patched in under 30 minutes. Really grateful to have this shop so close to home.

Lori and her team at downtown automotive blew me away last week when my check engine light came on. They got me in the next day and finished my car before my weekend camping trip! Lori got on the phone with the company that sold me my extended car warranty and managed to actually get them to pay for my new alternator. She was upfront about what I did and didn t need and made me feel completely safe, heard and taken care of, all while training a new hire and multitasking multiple mechanics, phone calls and jobs I found my new shop.Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery replacement, Wiper blade installation

Downtown Automotive was referred to us by a friend who works in the Seattle area. We were on vacation in the Alaska area when our truck air conditioning quit. We contacted Downtown Automotive and determined they had the parts needed to repair our system. We knew we couldn't return to AZ without a working air conditioner! Downtown Automotive worked us into their schedule and completed the repair the same day! The price was as expected and the service was above and beyond our expectations. My old auto repair place recently closed, so I went to Downtown Automotive for the first time last month. I could easily book online, they did a great job with routine maintenance, and they even helped me figure out what to do about some body damage on my car. Excellent customer service all around. Had a noise when I turned left in my Subaru and took it into Downtown Automotive. The team was really great about checking the car out and communicating as it was diagnosed.
