Best experience I ve had at a mechanic! They took me 30 minutes before closing and let me know it was no problem. Had the car checked immediately, brake check done in under 20. Ended up not needing brakes done, tightened rear brakes, filled tires, and had rotation done and they didn t charge me a penny. Most honest mechanics I ve ever met, friendliest, and thoughtful. Will definitely be a returning customer and will tell everyone I know to go here. Thank you guys so much!

These guys were very friendly and easy to book an appointment with over the phone. I arrived early for my appointment and it took about ten minutes for them to assess and give me a quote for service which was reasonably priced. It took less than 90 minutes for them to call and let me know my car was ready. Great experience with these folks and would highly recommend.

My car needed new brakes and a few other repairs. I went to a shop and got a really high quote. I decided to get a second estimate and D&D brakes quoted me HALF of the other shop. They were able to get me in quickly and communicated very well. They did a great job. I would highly recommend D&D brakes.

From calling and in person, they are all friendly.My brakes were squeaking so I came here to get it checked out. They told me I didn t need new brakes and everything is fine. My brakes are good for another 10k miles. They didn t charge me for the inspection.I love their honesty and their willing to help their customers. I m definitely coming back when it s time to do my brakes.Highly recommended to check this place out.

Only place I go for brake services! I went to two other auto shops for inspections on brakes that I suspected were faulty that resulted in nothing. I brought it to D&D and they were able to find the issue in a minute and fix it the next day. Very impressive.

Expensive and incompetent.I took my car in for a complete brake job becauseI I heard they were good and the price was affordable. Brake pads. Calibers, and rotors were replaced and it costed me a fortune--same price as the dealership. As soon as I left the shop my brakes still squeal and made weird noises. I took my car in the next day and they replaced the pads but as I was pulling out of the shop, the noise was still there. Then I went there for the third time and they gave up and refused to fix my car--advised me to clean my rims. That was there excuse. I wouldn't trust these guys.

I take my car to a dealership for oil changes cause they are cheaper there and they always give me a list of things that need to be fixed. One time it was the brakes. I took my car toD & D and they were confused, cause they said my car was god for another 10-20k miles. That was over a year ago. I got an extra year out of my brakes thanks to them and have since taken my car back for new tires. It s so nice having a mechanic that I feel like I can trust.

Came in and said the dealership told me I needed new brakes. They educated me and told me I had another 3-5k life in them still and put my winter wheels on for free. That's how you get a customer fo life D&D let's goo!

Today, I went to D&D brakes to get my front brakes because another mechanic said I needed to change them. I was fully expecting to pay for new brakes today. However, after Inspecting them. They told me that the front are good for another 10,000 miles and the rears maybe 40 000.I was very pleased with their honesty As long as i live in Seattle, for now on, I will only use them.Honesty and integrity is very difficult to find in the auto mechanics world.I will highly recommend this company.Also prices were very fair and if you pay with cash. They will give you a discount

The quality of their work is very apparent, there s a reason people go back to them time and time again!But more importantly, their honesty and integrity is unparalleled. There was a miscommunication over the phone that resulted in a noticeable price difference as I went to pick up my vehicle. Instead of strong-arming the situation, they acknowledged the situation, understood there was a miscommunication and stuck to their word. That s very rare these days and should not go unnoticed. Great service and communication. Shop time for more or less full rotor, caliper, and pads went fast and was finalized a little earlier than estimated. Saved my truck from the audibly offensive grinding it was suffering from. Would return here again and/or for other vehicles too. Thanks folks!

Very honest service. We had taken our vehicle to a competitor that quoted us over $1200 for a front brake job. The folks at D&D quoted less than $400 for the same work and then, when we brought the vehicle in, told us we didn't really need the work and had another 10K miles left before doing so. Great shop with helpful friendly mechanics. D&D was able to schedule my car next day. They were super fast at diagnosing and fixed my brake issue for a very reasonable price. D&D is a great place to have your brakes serviced. I took my car in for squeaky brakes, and Larry was nice enough to extend the warranty and get it replaced in an hour. The folks at D&D are honest, reliable, and affordable.

If you ever have issues with your brakes, close your eyes and give them a call. This place is honest, the staff is fantastic and their work is top notch. I highly recommend them. There is a reason their reviews speak so highly of them. It s because they re truly are amazing to work with. Had issues with my rear brakes and they scheduled me in the same day and did a fantastic job.

Really let me down... just not the place it used to be... whatever you do..don't let anything be wrong with your car "at random" OTHER than breaks.. there words "were not mechanics" so they will just tow your car accross the street or wherever suits them without any time to react ... breaks aren't that difficult... I'll just be doing it myself now... I don't want anyone working on any of my vehicles without being at the very least "mechanic certified" now I know what D&D stands for... Dumb & Dumber, good lord...learn how to drive!

Spoke with Tom and got a quote over the phone that was a no brainer - these folks know brakes and don t take you for spins like the franchised places. Replaced brakes and rotors for a very fair deal in Seattle. Highly recommend!

Honestly as a 20 something girl who does not know how to work on their own truck or has immediate friends who can help either it s insanely hard to find auto shops who you can trust to quote you.My brakes were making an insane noise and I did not know a spot to go that I could trust to fix them.My coworker and my neighbor recommended this spot, I called in 8am on a Monday, they were slammed but I explained the situation and they went out of their way to fit me in at 9.After they quoted me I called a few different places and all the quotes to replace those parts were $300-$400 more and could not fit me in for over a week.All I m saying is these guys are homies, great people who do amazing work and bottom line very trust worthy.Could not be happier.

Second visit in, always impressed with the owner's kindness and customer service. They addressed a minor issue with my brakes without hesitation and covered it under warranty, which was a pleasant surprise. Pricing is phenomenal for the area. I had to take my car to a Ford Dealership (Bill Pierre Ford) for a required recall part and got a call saying I also needed new front brake pads and they would do it for about $800. $800 for brake pads? I get it is a dealership, but that is crazy! No rotors, no resurfacing, just the front brake pads. I told them I would take it elsewhere.I called D&D and got my car in a few days later as I was worried my brake pads were shot and he came back a few minutes later and said I had over 30% left on the front brake pads, so they didn't need to be replaced right now. Just to be sure, they also checked the back brakes and they were fine as well. So, I had another 5,000 - 10,000 miles before my front pads would be in "immediate danger". I only drive my car about 5,000 miles a year, so for me, 30% is at least another year. I know they start recommending new pads at about 20%, but I was over 30%, so the dealership flat-out lied to me by telling me they needed to be replaced immediately.D&D could have just replaced the front pads since that is why I brought it in, but he said, "I like to sleep at night and you just don't need them right now, but bring them back in 5K miles and I will check again for free". They have been in business for over 30 years for a reason!I have many other friends that take their cars here to get brakes, which is why I brought my car here and I will absolutely be back when I actually need them fixed.

Great communication, professional and honest! Took my car to the shop because guy in the pep boys told me I have to replace my brake pad and rotors. After free inspection, dd brake told me it s fine and come back after 10k miles! Besides, their price is way more reasonable. Can t find a better place in this area for brake!

Went in to get breaks replaced and received a call saying my breaks still had around 30-50% life left and 13k miles left. Their honesty saved me from throwing away breaks that were still good. When it comes time I will bring all my cars back here for my breaks.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Honest, straightforward, & quick turnaround on service.I previously went to the Pep boys in Ballard and was told I needed a full brake service:- front and rear rotor replacement- front and rear brake pad replacementWas quoted over $1,700 to get this done there.Took my 17 Outback and into D & D and within 45 minutes, was told that I only needed my rear brake pads + rotors replaced, and my front set still had 60% life left in them. Price to do this was fair and was completed in less than 4 hours.It s unfortunate that there are still predatory shops out there, but it s great that there are shops like D & D Brakes that operate with integrity and honesty.Service: Brakes
