We purchased 70,000 mile warrantly tires. At 17,000 miles, after diligently taking them for 10,000 mile rotation - I took in again for 2nd rotation & was told ONE tire was too worn at the edge so they wouldn't rotate. I couldn't believe it. Then they said I needed to buy 2 new tires to balance. When I questioned further, they admitted I only really needed one but they didn't stock the same tire. Then they looked and said they couldn't order my tire. They also claimed it was MY FAULT because I hadn't taken them for alignment which needed to be done each time I got new tires. I had NEVER been told this before and THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A BALD FACED LIE, which I found out after I paid $150. for alignment. (Costco doesn't do alignments). Then I went elsewhere to get the one tire and they pointed out that all of the tires were worn on just the outside edge. We called Costco & they refused to honor the warranty on the basis it was over 5 years since we purchased (can you say COVID?). We called all the way up the chain of command with no results. So now, I have to buy 3 new tires and supposedly another alignment. I don't trust a word these shysters say. DO NOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY. And don't bother buying long warranties as all they will do is point out the fine print, which nobody reads, and stand behind nothing but RIPPING YOU OFF. Never again. I have been a Costco shopper since their inception - maybe not quite as long for tires. I've seen things go downhill since their original management changed but never believed I'd experience such swindling as I did in the tire dept. I'm am seriously thinking of dropping the overpriced membership. If you shop around you can get as good or better deals without overbuying, overpaying and especially over-consuming products that end up in landfills. Shame on Costco.

Worst customer service and they do NOT CARE about the work they do. We spent $1100 on 4 new tires. A few days later one began losing 8-12 psi per day, so we tried calling to get an apt. They literally never answered their phone, called probably 8 times. Decided to just show up on a Saturday since we both work 5 full days a week and that s the only day it works for us. And they said they wouldn t do anything that day and we should just show up early on Sunday and leave the car and they might get to it. So we paid for a service and a product and they don t care about getting it fixed. I truly wish every member of the tire center the absolute worst and hopefully Costco can fix their horrible division of knuckle draggers.

Sharing my experience because it sounds like we all need advice navigating this place! MAKE APPOINTMENTS ONLINE. You do have to create a new account (outside of your Costco account) but it is sooooo easy!TL;DR: run if you see or have to work with Brian (white, glasses, strawberry blonde hair). Jeffery will take good care of you.I love Costco and that includes Costco tire. In Apr 2024, I had a really bad flat (puncture deflated tire within a few hours). Because they were still in warranty, paid $80 for the new one. They did leave off the car logo cap, noticed it a week later, but Jeffrey let me know to purchase one and then bring the invoice in for a reimbursement. Handled in real time.Last week, my tire light came on after already filling up once, made an online appointment for the next day. Brought it in, they told me there was a sidewall nail puncture and it was not fixable. Brian rang me up for 4 tires, I said wait I don t have AWD, then he changed it to 1 tire and gave me the price. That s all fine but where it got sketchy was when I told Brian that the original tire is under Costco warranty because we bought them there. He tried to convince me that 2019 (purchased) to now is out of the warranty. Then he told me the warranty doesn t follow the vehicle, it follows the purchaser WHICH IS FINE BC MY DAD BOUGHT THEM and we are in the same Costco account. Basically wouldn t take my word for anything, made me feel bad for asking questions and challenging him. So I had to go BACK in and bring all the historical paperwork to prove it: I WAS RIGHT. Thank goodness Jeffery was there the second time I went in and helped me out without any hiccups.Costco, GIVE JEFFERY A RAISE! And reassess where you want to put Brian he clearly doesn t work well in a customer-facing situation.

Avoid this center. I ordered 3 tires according to the guide on the website and made an appointment to change it. After 1 hour they called me and told me the tires were not compatible and they can replace all for for 30$ extra. I agreed but on check out they told me I have to pay more because they made a mistake and 30$ was not accurate. I didn t see any benefits in their service and I ended up paying even more.

Literally the worst customer service ever. Took my car in to just get the tire checked for a nail or put some air into it. Eric told me I would have to leave my car there(which is fine because I had to go to work) but they couldn't give me a time estimate and then said it could be as late as 8:30pm. I called 5 hours later to get an update and they immediately put me on hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and called back. The lady was rude and immediately put me back on hold. I wouldn't recommend coming to this location for tire service unfortunately.

I went in to buy a new tire after I got a flat. Purchase went smoothly, the person working the counter was helpful and friendly. I have them my details but never received any communication about my purchase. I eventually called back and they said they had got them in but they didn't let me know. I asked for an appointment and they told me it was over a week until they had an opening. I expressed disappointment they didn't communicate. They made me give them all my info a 2nd time and we're rude about it. Then I never received appt confirmation email or text dispite telling them all the info. Went I get to my schedule appt time they are delayed and tell me it'll be 1.5hrs to change 1 tire. Their system went down so I had to tell them all my info a 3rd time. They called me 2 more times asking what tires I bought and then which tire needed replaced, even though I had told them when I got there. They were pushy, demanded info from me that they already had and made jokes at my expense. When I left I discovered they didn't return my spare. I called back and after waiting they hung up on me. I had to march inside to ask for my property back. Not worth the savings to shop for tire here. I hope they do better.

Seriously need better management. I changed the tires and TPMS was damaged on one of the four wheels.Brought this matter to the staff, he refused the responsibility and said that TPMS is too old.(!?) If that's true, why did it break just after the tire change? I was driving with a terrible clunk in the wheel for a week until they can make an arrangement to replace TPMS. The balancing is off too. I was adamant that the sensor broke off from its valve due to improper tire mount. After one week, $30 sensor and $15 labour (waitig 3 hours later), TPMS fixed and clunking sound in the wheel is gone! This is my first, and last time dealing with Costco Tire.Attached: picture showed the TPMS light is on after the tire change. I have been told that if I drove for 20 minutes it would disappeared; only to find out the TPMS broke off from the valve after 20 minutes driving. Seriously Costco Tire!

This shop is extremely slow. I have taken my car here for new tires and twice for a tire rotation. The new tire installation took 3 hours and both tire rotation visits took more than 2 hours. I made my appointments early in the morning so that they would not be backed up with earlier appointments. The actual tire rotation took then about 15 min (I watched them). I don t know why I had to wait so long for them to start working on my vehicle when I had an appointment. Such disrespect for customers time. On top of that, they over torqued most of the lug nuts. Torque spec for my car is 80 ft lbs, and some of the lugs were torqued to well over 150 ft lbs. I also had to wait 15 min at the front desk of the tire shop for the staff to appear so that I could drop off my key. All around horrible customer service. I m amazed that Costco allows this.

I had a bad experience in this tire center I pay $850 for a new set of tires And my car it was completely fine but when they gave it back to me several lights were on on the dashboard I came back to the tire center to tell them what was happening and this Roberto guy was very rude to me he says basically no my problem they didn t even look at it very unprofessional now I have to spend more money to figure it out what s going on with my car after it was completely fine

Second time this is happening. The people who checkin should be professional (at least respectful). The first time I went the guy was not at all ready to help. He was rude to customers, and I observed multiple unpleasant interactions with customers while waiting in line. In my case, he basically refused to explain the type of tire options I have and told me he has only one type for tire. Either I have to take it or not. The second time, I came with a punctured tire and try to change/repair the tire. Waited about 10 minutes until someone came to help. The guy came and when I start explaining the situation, he said we don t have anytime, you should come back some other time. I explained to him that the tire condition is a safety hazard, and asked him at least to change the spare tire or leave the car with him . He said he didn t have time for that and I should come back another day. BTW this is about 5 hours before closing time and my tire wasn t in driving condition. My observation is that there might be an office culture which make this two individual feel entitled and disrespectful.

Can t even answer their phone. I ve tried for 2 hours and can t get anyone to pick up. Costco should stick to selling big boxes of junk and stop trying to provide services.

Be careful about this "Roberto" guy, super rude without any reasons. There are some other reviews saying the same thing, glad I am not the only guy who felt so.I came here to replace the tires two days back but was missing the hub centric rings. I was told to come drop off the car any time during the day once I have the rings since it doesn't take much time to install the hub rings. So I came here today but was then notified I should only drop off the car at 8am. This is not the worst part though, I think the worst part was this Roberto guy who was super rude, otherwise it was still within the acceptable range.I ended up going to the discounttire just across the street and they are 10 times better. They installed the hub rings with no charge and finished it in 1.5 hours. Highly recommend over this tire center.

Jeffrey got us in during the busy holiday weekend to identify what the issue was with our front passenger side tire. After attempting to repair the puncture, he gave us some great options to consider, and was able to get us back on the road to SF quickly and safely. Thank you so much, Jeffrey and the Shoreline Costco Tire team!

I had an appointment at noon for a rebalancing and the car had still not even moved from the parking lot outside by 1 pm. I asked about timing and they said they d do it next and call me when done. Another hour and a half later and I asked again. It had been done for 50 MINUTES. No one called and I was literally sitting in front of them waiting. Just waiting. Finally got the car back and a service light is on that wasn t on before the simple tire rebalance.

Wait times can be crazy long compared to discount tire, but if you make an appointment and shop while works being done then it works out ok. Also, they sell batteries here for far less than the auto parts store!

Go to Les Schwab instead if you can. LS did not carry the size I needed so i tried Costco for a full set of new tires 4 months ago. When I found a slow leak repeated in one tire I called and called but no one answered so I showed up 30 minutes after opening the next day because I was heading out of town. They said I could leave it all day which I couldn t because I work like most people. When I told them I would have to go somewhere else they responded by threatening that my warranty would be voided. Thanks for horrible service Costco. Do you void warranties for customers who are forced get fixes while on road trips too? LS was happy to work me in same day so a genuine thank you to them.

Only go here for price. It takes two weeks to get an appointment for a tire fix, so warranty repair is meaningless

I had a set of crossclimate2 installed here a few days ago and I couldn t be happier with the service and product. My advise to anyone considering new tires is to do it online and let the process find you. Secondly give yourself 90 to 120 minutes for installation, that s what it takes for a job well done.

Very poor service, had to order tires on a Saturday said they would be in midweek and they would call and get them on right away I told them I must have them on by the next Saturday.I gave my number and also gave them my husbands number as back up. I was anxious to get them changed as there was a bulge in my tire. The next Saturday ,called inquiring about the tires. Was told they came in two days ago but claimed they had no phone number for me. They then said I couldn't get them on until Wednesday. I told them I needed it today, they said I could come in on a walk in. Arrived with my car about 10am Told I would have to leave it and might be able to to pick it up by 6pm. As I had no ride ,round trip Uber is costing another $45. I could have gone to Discount Tire and they would have given me a price match and had my tires on last Monday. But being a loyal Costco shopper I didn't. Big mistake. No where along the line did I get an apology or sorry for the inconveniences. So much for customer service

Waited outside for over 2 hours for my tires to be swapped. Had an appointment and was told it shouldn t take longer then 1 1/2 hrs, my car was the only one in the garage too. Little to no communication, poor customer service and on the way home my tire pressure sensor light came on. Thought I could trust Costco as a reputable source. Won t get tires here again.UPDATE***Woke up this morning with two back flat tires. And All my tire caps were replaced with Plastic ones. Now I have to get my car towed to replace these tires. BUYER BEWARE

As a Costco member of over 10 years I finally decided to try Costco s tire service. First I was happy because the prices that Costco offers are competitive if not better than others. However I would have rather spent the extra $100 else where for better service. After buying my tires online I was prompted to schedule an appointment time for the following week through the online portal. After a week of constant emails and texts reminding me of the appointment, I went in, in my very little free time, to get my tires put on. However the apathetic counter employee informed me that they do not really use that thing and that I should have called or waited for a call from them to set up an appointment. So confused as to why they would confirm my appointment 1,000 times and not have my tires, I went home. 11 days after my order, I received an email saying that my tires had arrived. I waited and waited for a day and a half and no phone call. Finally i called, oh yeah I was just about to call you. I arrive back 3 days later, a total of 2 weeks after my order finally get my tires on. It took 20 mins to even get to the counter as the poor sap in front of me was being up-sold on anything and everything. Counter guy says it will be an hour and half. As Im walking out I see my car get pulled in, great I think, surely it will take less than 25 minutes a tire. Wrong. Not only that, I only found out my car was done after I wondered out of the main store and saw my car parked. I walk in and the counter clerk claims credit for calling me. Never got a call. I walk out to my car and there are finger grease marks on every wheel of my just previously washed car, not too mention that every stem cap is now green instead of black which may not be a big deal for some people, but to car guys and girls, it s very obnoxious. Safe to say I won t be back here again for tires. Go to discount tire or tire rack, sure it may cost a little more but the job will be done correctly, and well. Signed, a disappointed Costco Member

Just what you would expect from Costco- high quality materials and professional service at a great price. These guys are great. We always get quick and professional service. Zach at the front desk gets an extra gold star for balancing 7 different things at one time. He must reach his 10000 step goal every day with the constant trips between the front desk and the back shop.

1. Called 6 hours ahead to confirm they can install my offroad tires. Got a Yes.2. Arrived 10 minutes early to appointment. No problem.3. 60min later get a call that the tires are 3% bigger and unsafe to install......on an $40,000 Off-Road vehicle.4. 90min later I drive home with the same tires I came in on.???If you have an abundance of time and nothing better to do, this is the place for you.

Not worth your time. I was told it would take an hour (I had an appointment) which seems like a long time, but it ended up taking 3 hours. I walked by the shop a few times and saw them struggling to mount the wheels to my car for an hour... I can do it myself in 10 minutes. Go to discount tire across the street, they will match Costco prices and are better in every way

Had a misunderstanding over the phone regarding lug nuts in my vehicle. I was frustrated due to past shop experiences. When I went to the shop to verify in person what was being told to me, Roberto tried to get in between the conversation I was having with Zach. Which was no help at all, Zach kept his composure and took care of the situation in a professional manner. He also made sure to finish the job himself even though he was hustling at counter taking calls and helping customers while the other staff came back from lunch. Basically Zach saved the day . Other individuals are extremely condescending.

As a longtime member of Costco (family joined in the Price Club/Price Costco days), I have always relied on their warranties and service guarantees. Eddie in the tire center has validated my many years of investment in a Costco membership by going above and beyond to honor the club's commitment to its members. My tire had road damage and was swapped for my full sized spare. Unfortunately I forgot that the spare's alloy wheel was patched (welded) and not meant for extra driving beyond straight to a tire shop. The team at Shoreline Costco's tire center caught this right away and ordered me a replacement tire and swapped the wheels and tires. Their thoroughness and attention to detail saved me an unnecessary trip to the dealership (to figure out the wobble) and best of all, saved me from becoming a driving accident victim. In addition, they were extremely fast. They took care of me in under an hour and put me safely back on the road in time for the holidays.A huge thanks to Eddie and Roberto and all of the great tire technicians at Shoreline Costco's tire center. You really do treat members like family and for that I am doubly grateful.

The man at the desk was very rude to the nice lady in front of me. He told her that she better learn English I gasped out loud and said that s very rude I couldn't believe someone would say that. My first time getting tires from Costco I have always had a good experience in the store.

I ordered a set of tires online and had them delivered to this Costco. I couldn t make an appointment sooner than a week and a half out, and meanwhile I got a flat tire. Brought my car in the next day a Wednesday morning and was told I d have to wait 3 hours as a walk-in. Fine, I ll just go shop in the warehouse. Six hours later my car still wasn t ready. Get your tires here only if you don t mind waiting. If you walk in, block out your entire day. Terrible customer service.
