I bought a used Honda CR-V from this dealer. The car is great for the most part. I didn t get any tutorial or tour of the car or it s amenities and how to use them even after purchasing. I got a great deal on the car but after purchasing the company didn t contact me once, no emails, no update on my license plate or how that would be handled in a timely manner. I worked with Matt the financial manager who was great. He directed me to the front desk but the number I was given to call never worked! I haven t hear word of where it is, if it s coming, or when I d get it. I hope I will soon I feel like I should have gotten a n email confirming my purchase or something for contact information.

This is our first time buying a car in the U.S. and with Riley O'Donnell's from Carter Motors help, it was a great experience. He understood what we were looking for and matched it well. He was very patient and courteous, and we really like the car we bought

I have been a Carter VW Service customer in the Ballard site for more than 20 years and I have had tremendous quality and timely service always. The service writers are knowledgeable, help, honest about your repair needs and have a positive spirit towards their customers. If there is a problem, an unexpected repair or an unscheduled need, they have always Ben helpful.

For whoever wants a used car, it is better to move away. It wasted our whole day. Finally my friend got awesome service and purchased a used car from another dealer. I would like to share my terrible experience. Wish anyone could save their time to deal with them.Here is what happened today: after negotiation, we almost had a deal with them. But we found got dirty low-ball, unexpected hidden fees (Because this is the first time we purchase a car, we compared the fees other than selling price with previous offer, and they differed). We felt uncomfortable about what they did. We expressed our feeling when manager came out. Normally, I thought the manager would apology that mistake on paper. But unfortunately, the manager only questioned if we really want to buy a car or not very rudely. And later he just walked away without saying anything, left us on the desk. What is the hell that attitude and behavior!!!! This is my most terrible experience in Carter Ballard!!But we just got away, and got a kind and awesome salesman in another dealer. So if you were in similar situation like me, just move forward. There should be lots of awesome people around you. Don't make yourself down.BTW, why I can't put zero star for review. One star is too much for them!!!

I really appreciate their help. They offered a free shuttle service right to my door. They provide the perfect car maintenance. They did not try to up sale me. Very trustworthy and reliable. Would go back

Carter is one of the biggest car dealerships in Seattle, and for all the right reasons. Their staff is ridiculously friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to help you out. They offer great warranty or service packages as well, including years of maintenance ahead of time (which if you pass up, you'll regret). They have a shuttle to drive you somewhere if you have to drop off your vehicle, or a bus stop right outside to go downtown. It's in a good part of the Ballard neighborhood, so it's easy to go grab some food around the block too. Definitely will be buying my next Subaru from this same dealership.

When I entered the show room, I walked past all employees and was not greeted. Finally I asked to speak to a salesperson. Once I engaged they were friendly. But I was disappointed in the initial indifference shown to me. I falsely assumed that there would be more eagerness during this economic slowdown. I was wrong.

Good and helpful people, good car service.They offer to/from shuttle/rides when you drop the car for service. Overall i have had very good interactions and no issues for my car service. Car service charges are also reasonable.

So either your trying to sell me something I don't need, or your mechanic is not truly a vw expert. Was told my fog lights were not working and needed to be replaced. Got home from my oil change and saw that they're working just fine......??????

The only place to buy a VW, take great care of us every time, on our 4th as of this week and will eventually get a 5th from them too, Ezra is a great salesman and Zach has always taken great care of us! No pressure environment takes alot of the stress out of buying a car!

I recently purchased a 2018 VW Passat from Carter and the experience was the most painful I have ever experienced. My gut told me several times to walk away, but I didn't. I now "own" a car with several electrical issues including the infosystem, the driver's door and the keyless entry (neither FOB opens the car, it remains unlocked). I have messaged the salesperson on various platforms and she has not responded at all to me. The Service department is stating it would be over a week before they can get me in; so my new car sits in my driveway.Another complaint is that when I spoke with the sales manager about the issues with this car; he stated "will you have a better car than your last with better gas mileage". When I informed him that my Nissan Rogue got 36 to 38 on the highway, his response was "No, you didn't". In my opinion, he was stating that I was giving him misinformation (fancy way of calling me a liar).This is the second car I have purchased from Carter (one new, one used) and believe me, it will be my last! There are too many VW dealers in the area; I highly recommend you go to one of them.

I took my car to Carter to replace a joint which required the axel being replaced. After getting it back I noticed my car was still having the same problem that led me to get it checked out in the first place. I took my car to my private mechanic who said no work had been done on the car. I went back to Carter, relayed this information, and was met with a condescending attitude. They said that's impossible and they had my old axel onsite still. Once I insisted on seeing the axel that was replaced, Carter took me away from all of the other customers and told me they mixed my Subarau up with another one (it's a Subaru dealership....all of the cars are Subaru). Not only did I waste two mornings at Carter plus two at my private mechanic, I shelled out $100 to have my mechanic reinspect my car. Don't waste your time here

Needed assistance after my Subaru Outback was vandalized while visiting Seattle. Sunday, late afternoon and needed to have my back window wrapped to drive home. Carter Subaru was all about customer service. The showroom was packed with customers, but they stopped to help so I could be on my way.
