AVOID THIS SHOPI had a nail in my tire tread the second week of December. I took it to this shop on a Saturday. They asked for 2 hours to get it fixed, which seemed long, but was not too big of a deal. When I went back to get it they tried to sell me new brakes. I declined. They then charged me $45 for a tire patch, which is about 4x more than I've ever heard of before. My suspicion is that they are subsidizing their "car review" by overcharging for simple things like a tire patch.All of that is just probably standard stuff for a disreputable tire shop, but, in this case, on Christmas Day we were driving on the highway going out to North Bend from Seattle. No cars were near us. The back right tire (the one they worked on) blew out the side wall while we were going 70 on the highway. We stopped and put on the spare and then I had to buy a new tire the following week (from a different store).I called the shop to tell them that the 9 month old tire they repaired (that had maybe 4,000 miles on it) had blown out 2 weeks later. They then proceeded to give me the run-around for a few weeks. It started with saying to call back in a week when someone else would be there. When I did that, the person told me to come to the shop the next day. When I did that, the person at the shop told me, oh, he shouldn't have told you that but if you come back next week someone can help you.These guys are shady shady shady. Do not trust them. I will never return.

I arrived for a same day service, that was awesome. The thing is: I went there with my 4 wheel covers. After the service, during the day, I lost one. I ve been driving around the country for the last 3 months, never happened before. I went the next day and they charged me for the new set. For me, is not coincidence. Maybe they broke a clip, maybe not, who knows?I am not scratching for a few bucks so I decided to pay them because I dont like my car without the covers.

I ve sent my car in twice. The first time was for an oil change and the second time was for an oil change, belt change, and brakes. I met with a different guy each time and they were both great. I asked them to look at my headlight, but after talking we decided not to since they weren t confident about solving the problem. It feels like they are honest and do great work in a timely fashion. I ll keep going back and definitely recommend them!

This is my go-to auto repair shop. I ve had to bring my car here for several tire related issues and each time, they diagnose the problem and send me on my way within a day. The drop-in hours of 8-11 AM are especially helpful for quick jobs. The mechanics have proven to be skilled, friendly, and trustworthy.Finding a good mechanic was a big stressor when I first moved to Seattle. Quoted my parents nearly $700 to replace the spark plugs. 1000% mark up on spark plugs plus $500 for labor. No integrity here, I was mad enough to leave a review. I'll make sure they never steal another dollar off my parents.

Friendly, honest and direct, Affordable worked with me and did an excellent job! I will be going back for more work on my car in the future. Affordable is definitely my go to for auto repairs and maintenance now. I also definitely recommend them!

I went in because the tire on my 2020 Telluride kept going flat. The folks there said they could fix it and literally 20 mins in to the most recent episode of The Read it was done! So grateful for their customer service and kindness. If you are in the Seattle area looking for tire service or oil changes these folks are GREAT! Hit them up!

Have been twice to have a tire patched when- both times- I've driven over a nail. Gotten it taken care of with friendly, accommodating service. The second time, I couldn't leave my vehicle, so they took the tire and I came back when it was ready and had it installed.

I had a slow leak in my front tire that I couldn't figure out. I brought it in today and left it for 2 hours so they could figure it out. They found a faulty rim seal that was barely visible. I appreciated their willingness to do what was necessary rather than just telling me I needed new tires.

Compare to the dealership, it was better in my opinion because they gave reasonable price and I had a nice experiences with the shop, they get me in and out with an oil change, oil filter + check chassis + basic safety inspection + air filter, breather filter + all fluid levels + tire pressures really quick and easy going.(vehicle inspection are included with the work)Will come back more for other service.

I wasn't able to get cash out of the ATM and he went out of his way to ensure my tires were all at the right pressure, and accepted a card payment even when the signs said otherwise. 10/10 would recommend

They Never DisappointIt is rare to find a business these days that seems to pride itself on old-fashioned values of honesty and superior service, but Affordable Tire & Brake MLK has managed to perfect both of those things. We always felt an honest mechanic was like a rainbow-colored unicorn it didn t exist. We are happy to say, we were mistaken.We initially found Affordable through a recommendation from a relative who had been pleased with service they d received on their car. Our Lexus RX350 needed a fairly major and costly repair, and the Dealer quoted their typically ridiculous quote, and other repair shops quoted something similar. Affordable Tire & Brake staff was so pleasant, and so professional, I was sold almost immediately. But, they took the car in for diagnostics, concluded the same problem needed repairing, but fixed it at nearly $1,000 less than other quotes we d received. The work was fast, and high quality. That interaction caused us to conclude that we will never take our cars anyplace else.This visit, my son s Mini Clubman was making a concerning noise. Affordable diagnosed the problem as a broken timing belt. They warned that once they got in to repair it, if it had damaged the water pump, the pump would need replacing as well. Next morning, they called to say the Mini was ready, the water pump was undamaged, and it was about $200 less to repair than we were anticipating even without the need for a new water pump. Find me another mechanic that would have warned about a potential additional repair, but then found it wasn t needed after all. You can t!! Honest, pleasant, skilled, professional. I don t know who decided this would be their business model, but it s brilliant. Build this kind of honest, competent reputation, and you ll never be without customers. I cannot say enough about how much we love this repair shop, and how eternally grateful we are to have found them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I always get a amazing service here. I just bought a "new" used Escalade and needed new tires and rims for it. They got me a great price and a great set of wheels and tires. Even though the staff is turned over in the several decades I've been coming here, I'll keep coming back. I've needed to get 2 tires patched here in the last couple years. Both times they were quick and inexpensive. Able to get me in and out in a couple hours with no appointment.As much as I hope to not need their services again anytime soon, I'm happy to go back when that time does come.

For my sweet 2017 Lexus RX, drove right over to Affordable, was quoted $1100 for premium for all four brake pads / rotors, and could do it now so I dropped it at Sat 8am, done by 12:30. They did a great job!For reference just ONE HOUR earlier at 7am, Toyota of Seattle quoted me $450 (wrong) and revised to $1100 (wow) for ONLY front pads / rotors AND didn t have parts in stock. Go with Affordable and get on with your life.

These are great bunch of guys. They are confident with what they do and share and update you always. I give them an A+ rating for checking out my car. They are trustworthy. I have worked with them for years. I only want them to work on my car because I know they are honest and do the best work. The prices are extremely competitive. Fantastic service as always. We had a punctured tire, they immediately patched it and rotated the tires within 45 minutes and had us on our way. Brought an 89 Blazer here after I was told it was "too old" to work on by two other shops in the area . They told me to bring it in right away. Had been sitting for a year so needed a full tune up and inspection. Told em my budget and they had it all done within about a day and a half as well as reccomended some upgrades long term. Very prompt and communicative, solid guys. Wouldn't say they were "cheap" but definitely wasn't ripped off or talked into anything I didn't need. Rates were very fair.
