I came here to convert my AC system fittings from R12 to R134, and AC servicing. They were the perfect shop to go to. Parking is not ideal, but worth it in my opinion because the mechanics know what they are doing. They explained the whole process to me and were great on communication.

They helped me replace my broken wire for my blinker light, it was good as new and for under 200$ I would trust them with more work on my car, easy going shop.

Acme is amazing!My van had a tricky electrical problem that other shops had not been able to diagnose and resolve, these guys had it figured out and fixed in no time! Based on that success I had them test and recharge my air conditioning which had not worked well in years. Whatever they did worked because two years later (updated 10/23) it is still blowing frosty cold! Had them fix a few other smaller issues like a door that wouldn't lock with the key fob, mission accomplished... Acme Electric repaired my work van it had electrical issue. They diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately and fixed within reasonable amount of time. I appreciated stuff had a professional attitude and did not mind taking time to explain to me what was the issue and the options available for fixing it. Full marks awarded to this shop. They got me in the next day, comprehensively diagnosed my alternator failure, explained in detail how they did so when I asked, and charged me for less than an hour of work for all of the above. For comparison, the Toyota dealership tried to charge 3X the price, sell me a new battery + install, and took two full days to "verify" this work as part of the warranty claim that followed.The customer service here was respectful and kind, but just as efficient and accurate as their work. Without a doubt this is the place I'll go when I have electrical issues I can't sort out myself. Highly recommend.

Amazing auto mechanic and repair. Honest and straight forward. Took my car in because my fan had broken and then unbroken itself. He looked at it and told me what to do if it broke again. Got totally screwed by Redline Auto Electric on Roosevelt and screwed by Dr. Don to the tune of $700 total without a fix. Fixed the issue myself in the end.So the g-friend had a problem that the GMC and Interstate dealers diagnosed incorrectly. Acme figured it out in minutes.I'm definitely going back to them next time. They seem to be the only auto electric place around that actually knows what they're doing.

I can t say enough about my experiences at this auto shop. I ve had the pleasure over several needed visits from simple to complex repairs done here. All the staff and mechanics are friendly and honest when it come to repairs. I ve never felt overcharged for the work and have never had something fail after repaired. Had a complete removal of a Jeep Heater core and filters Removed and replaced to fantastic results. To those that know the process it s a 24 hr+ repair! Most$$$ is labor intense. I was Totally pleased with the results. You do have to leave your vehicle generally for a day, but with covid that s normal with general mechanics. I highly recommend them as a permanent repair shop for all vehicles.

I have an older car whose electric windows finally stopped working. A local mechanic who couldn't figure it out what was wrong told me to come here, speaking highly of their expertise and service. Sure enough, they figured out what was wrong and instead of trying to persuade me to spend the money to fix it, let me know they agreed and supported my decision to not put any more money into this car. They had even taken photos of the ruined wires to show it to me and thoroughly explain the problem! They did all of this in just a few hours instead of a longer wait time, and, because they diagnosed it so quickly, they didn't even charge me. Great shop, honest, dependable, and trustworthy.

Neither skilled nor knowledgeable enough to repair simple headlight motors. It's too bad because I was recommended to check them out by a good shop too.

Acme is the place I've been hoping to find all these years. I have brought three of my vehicles here. And will bring any more I ever get and recommend everyone else to also. They are a great group of guys to talk with and to let work on your vehicles. This is the type of shop you rarely hear about. I have nothing but great things to say about them. The family story how the shop is run says it all.

They say they do electric vehicle maintenance and repair . Called to explain i need a basic 5kw vehicle diagnosed. Owner went immediately to; I dont have time to work on that. Might want to change your list of services.

These guys did repairs on my car and really came through! I missed putting in work for many years, and when I finally did they were able to help me out. They thought I might have one problem that was supposed to be fix, only it was that one problem. They we able to fix it and didn't jack up the price just cause they could. This is a shop I highly recommend!

I brought in a car with an alternator that intermittently charged the battery. I figured they would go through the work-flow to diagnose the issue. They told me that I needed a new alternator, a $700 job. I told them that I needed more information than that - anything. They aggressively made their point that they were the experts and I should trust them. I've dealt with liars before, so I took the car back.They charged me $60+ for the diagnosis and $15 for charging my battery. I brought with me a voltmeter, so I looked at the charge on the battery. The battery was never charged, as it read 10.5V when I picked it up, confirming that they straight-up lied and stole my money.Since they're willing to lie about something so obvious as charging a battery, they probably lied about checking the alternator, right?. I'm not a mechanic, but I looked online for the easiest way to diagnose an alternator. I looked at the voltage between alternator output and battery terminal, and in 5 minutes realized that there was something wrong with the connections. I replaced the nut that secures the wire to the alternator, and fixed the problem. That took 10 minutes, and 10 cents.So, these people lied about checking the charging system, lied about charging a battery just so they can steal $85+ dollars. They tried to sell me the most expensive repair and even told me that they can only put on the most expensive alternator.I never post reviews, but these guys are so out there, that I felt it was responsible to report them. I really hate posting this.UPDATE: They called to apologize and return my money. I appreciate small businesses and would like to give them a chance.

I've lived in Seattle over a dozen years and owned 4 cars over that time. I've NEVER had as good an experience as I had at Acme. I usually don't gush on reviews, but these guys are so kind, so fair, and they take time to explain. As a single woman, it can be daunting to walk in to a shop out of the blue. I couldn't believe how honest and fair their policies and the pricing is. I won't be going anywhere else. Wish I'd known about them years ago!!

As a woman it s hard to find a mechanic who treats you with respect and doesn t try to rip you off. Acme is a business run by honest gentleman & the length of time they ve been in business is a testament to that. Their prices are also always lower than other shops!

We were so pleased with our service here. Our blinker wasn t working and we paid $300 at a regular garage only to get no success. These guys diagnosed the problem, no new parts needs!

So glad I found a place I can trust! As someone who knows little to nothing about cars, I m always scared auto places with take advantage of that. However, Eric helped me with exactly what I needed, and I never felt doubtful about the service being provided. Really glad the other places around the area with good reviews couldn t accommodate the day I needed because I found this place.

My father owned a professional moving business when I was younger and he relied on Acme Auto Electric to ensure his service vehicles were operating properly. I remembered this when I was in need of an automotive electrician and I was smart to have taken notice many years ago. New to the area and had to find a place to deal with a battery/electrical problem. Able to get my vehicle in quickly and had the problem fixed for 1/2 of what I assumed it would cost. Great communication. Great service!

Acme tried to solve auto electric problem for me. They devoted a week to it and only charged me $60 for the effort.They weren't successful, but two other places before them weren't either.Very nice accommodating people. I would do business with again anytime.
