Waited two years to come back to this location because of dishonest things they did back then. (Sales ended up giving substantial perks and cash to apologize for their actions.)Came back to a mostly new staff, but still negatively surprised with the service. Nothing that cost money to fix this time though. I fixed it. Got a bit dirty in the process. It was, basically, a thoughtless and messy job completion. After a straight forward oil change and tire rotation, they tossed my wheel into the back, sideways and upside down so I needed to fix it myself before driving off. They didn't correctly put it back into the well provided, meaning that I had to reset the wheel, the bin that sits in it and the trunk. Doable, but so is changing my oil. Guys, it's right there. It's a hole in the trunk shaped like a wheel ~ and you missed it. Do I have to check the number of bolts on my tires too? Come on.If I hadn't been lied to before at this location so badly, I'm sure I'd be more lenient in this case. But this was the second chance I was extending.I will continue to travel to inconvenient locations for my service because I simply can't trust you to do work that I leave feeling good about. Two stars because it wasn't as bad as last time.

Car dealerships and everything involved with them is a pain, you are lied to so often you just can't trust a word they say, and Walker's is the worst I have ever worked with... I could go on with specifics but just the last two visits because the platinum extended warranty says I need to use them, the deceitful practices come from all fronts. Usually this means it's coming from the top.. I would never buy from them.

Please retraining their staffs. Unprofessional and inefficiency!First, they took more than an hour to find out my warranty for the tire replacement. If I didn t purchase the Road Hazard warranty, I am definitely not coming back. Then, I scheduled the appointment for the tire replacement today at 12pm. I asked them how long it would take. They told me an hour to an hour and half. But I couldn t get back my car until 2:37. Wasted my time waiting there! After I drove home, I found out the Subaru logo in the middle of the wheel is actually missing, and they forgot to put back after tighten the screw. And they asked me to drive back on the next day to pick it up. What the It s 34miles round trip to there! Who is gonna pay for the gas and the time I spend on driving. That s not my fault, it s their mistake. They should deliver the logo back to my place!Service: Auto tire replacement

Your standard Subaru dealer. Pretty helpful and relatively easy to work with. I've had several odd issues that were covered by warranty, but it usually turner out to be a simple fix (software update or reset).I do like that they started using a SMS updates and communication, which makes it easy to see what's going on.You need an appointment for any service other than oil change for which they offer express service with the expectation that it will be done quick while you wait and drink your coffee and eat your popcorn. However mornings and weekends are very busy and there is a lot of waiting involved.

They have the best customer service. If you're not certified with their work, they would do it again for free to earn your business again

I brought my Forester Wilderness in after running over a nail. I was told that it was irreparable. The service rep said that my only option was to buy a new tire. She said that, because of the tread differential, the replacement tire would need to be shaved to match the other tires. She told me that they put the spare on, and that I could not drive over 30 mph on it. She gave me a hard sell on the almost $600 replacement. I asked for her to bring the technician, who she had said made these recommendations, outside. He immediately refuted every single thing she told me. My existing tires had almost no wear on them and no replacement needed to be shaved. My spare was also a full sized tire (because I have the wilderness model). I later brought the punctured tire to a shop, who told me it was easily fixable. One of two things is true. Either A., (The service rep lacked any basic knowledge of my model and, more broadly, of tire repair) or B., (She was performing a willfully dishonest upsell.) Neither scenario is acceptable. I will avoid the Walker service department, if at all possible, in the future.

This team at Subaru has AMAZING customer service. I came here to have them check one of my tires after I got a low tire pressure warning.I had a bad experience at Firestone where they basically told me the tire was ruined and pushed me to buy 4 new tires from them. I m glad I came to Subaru for a second opinion and should have gone to them first.I went up to a few of the Subaru guys and told them about my bad tire experience at Firestone and asked if they could look at mine. Without hesitation they looked at the tire and said they would try and patch it up. Five minutes later, Tyler (the main guy I talked to) took me to the back where my tire was to show me the hole in my tire and said they could easily patch it and did it free of charge! I was out of there in 30 minutes and didn t have to pay a dime! Shout out to Tyler and his team for the quick fix and their tremendous customer service! This is the reason I chose to buy Subaru.

The service team is great. I've worked with Alex, and Aaron several times and they are both very friendly and efficient and keep me updated on progress. My car is usually ready sooner than estimated.Services: Electrical repair, Auto maintenanceServices: Electrical repair, Auto maintenance

Brought car in for two recalls. Left it all day waiting for a call saying it was ready. I finally called to check and was told they didn t have the parts for the recall. I changed my plans for the day to bring the car in, sat home all day without a car and still have to take it back another day to get the service done. I did have an appointment for the service and when I dropped it off they did not tell me they didn t have the parts. It was a waste of my time.

Came in to have a awd drive issue addressed. Told them how to recreate the issue, which they did not do. Wouldn't call me to tell me what they did. So they stuck me a 200+ bill, didnt identify the issue, but offered to swap out my cabin filter for 70$.They wont let you talk to the mechanic. Instead, you're explaining an issue to someone who has no idea how the car works. They add on a 20$ "shop supplies" fee, but wont tell what supplies they used. They claim your engine must be lifted to replace the spark plugs. That's complete b.s, and shows they're trying to do unnecessary work to charge you more.

Agent Aaron at the service desk was very helpful, had a continuous good communication with us regarding the process and gave us the support we needed. 5 stars for him, he is the best so far we have met at Subaru Renton, and we have been there more than a few times.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Thanks to the great service I get at Walker s (Parts and Service), I ve been able to get the most out of the golden years of my 2006 Subaru. I ve entrusted them with my vehicle for the past few years, and am very satisfied with their level of quality and care for customers. Most maintenance/repair with Walker s have been a breeze. The in/out process is pretty streamlined, and they offer loaners when the repair will take time (*need to plan the loaners in advance). I appreciate the text updates on the progress too. However, my vehicle is aged, and there have been times when a repair takes longer than expected, or doesn t go as expected. Most recently, there was an issue with reassembly after a major repair that required my vehicle to go right back to the shop. But Walker s did everything they could to make the process as painless as possible, as they corrected their mistake. My vehicle is running smoothly now, and I was impressed by their fast action when I reported the issue. Thanks again, Alex/Justin, and service crew!

I have reached out to Walkers 3 times with still no response back from them. Long story short, I paid over $100 for an oil change and tire rotation, later to find out my tires were not actually rotated (leaky tire was still in the same spot). I purchased my car through Walkers and have had all maintenance done with them since day 1. Due to the questionable service and lack of response/care, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Never trust their estimates of service time.I have been here three times. Every time I was told when I booked my appointment that I would be able to wait while the service was done, and that it would only take 2 hours. Yet when I arrived, they assumed that I would have someone picking me up and be leaving the car for several days. On the first two occasions they were able to do the work, but it took twice as long as originally stated. On the third occasion, they said that they would need to keep the car for a week, despite admitting the procedure only takes a few hours. On all of these occasions, they called and emailed me the day before stating that I would be able to wait while service was done and drive home that day (see picture). I had to take time off of work to bring the car in, only to be told I had been lied to repeatedly about the time required to service it.This is not an isolated incident. Read the other comments here. Trevor B also complains of being told a few hours, driving in and then being told 3 days, Lauren was supposed to wait one day, but had to wait a week. ken baker even gives four stars, but notes how slow the service was.I have no issues with the quality of service, the issue is with the consistent bait and switch of promising quick service up to the point you bring the car in (literally calling and emailing the day before saying it would be done that day), and then revealing that the procedure would take much longer one you have already taken time off and driven in.

Came to drop off my car for a simple cosmetic repair. Was told that they did not know when the repair would be done and to come back later in the day. I asked if I could get a rental car and was told that I would ve had to reserve it when I made the initial repair appointment which was not mentioned or brought up to me when I discussed making the appointment initially. Poor communication at this location from their staff makes it very difficult to get appointments and wasted a lot of my time and money.

Took my 2020 Outback for routine oil change and asked to check the tires since the tire pressure warning was on. I was told and given a quote (see attached) that my rear passenger tire has UNREPAIRABLE puncture close to the side wall and need to purchase a tire and get it shaved off to match the other tires (6/32). It will cost me over $350. My car has only a little over 32K miles.I called Les Schwab for 2nd opinion. Les Schwab asked to see the tire and immediately said it was not close to the side wall and will check the rest of the tire condition. It was repaired in less than 2 hours for Free. Les Schwab installed back the repaired tire and put the spare tire back under my trunk.Les Schwab was honest and saved me over $350. We just droved the car over the pass (snowing) this weekend for Spokane (over 600 miles) with no problem.I will discontinue getting my oil change and maintenance from Walker's Renton Service Center. This place is dishonest considering I even purchased the car from the dealership.I now question the truth about all the other services recommendations I got from my recent visit. Do I really need them?I am not coming back to this place to service my Outback!Service: Tires

Arrived on time for my appointment first thing in the morning, and I still waited 2+ hours to get my car back for a key fob programming. Got my car back and was having electrical issues, abnormal acceleration, abs light on, traction light on, and hill assist light on. Checked under hood and my airbox had not been put back together from inspection and the MAF wiring connector was disconnected and rubbing against the engine bay/fender area. Disappointed that simple tasks were not performed to expectations from a dealership.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Brought in vehicle for 30k maintenance service and to have a check engine light that keeps coming on looked at. They kept the car for a week diagnosing the vehicle only to not find what was wrong. On top of that they did not communicate with me on what was going on with the car or the work they were performing after I called and texted them multiple times each day. For their diagnostic they removed my car alarm and reinstalled it not functioning and my car alarm is always randomly going off even when the car isn't locked. In the end I decided to go to another Subaru to get my car looked at. Do not bring your vehicle here for anything other than an oil change.

If I could do no stars I would. Where do I begin? I had an amazing experience with the Renton sales department so I encourage you to purchase your car there but NEVER have it serviced here. I purchased an optional security upgrade when I financed my new 2020 WRX through the dealership. This is where my troubles started. Shortly after having the security upgrade installed by the Renton Subaru Service center one of my doors had all electronics stopped working. I took it to my more local Yakima Subaru Service center who took one look and was convinced I had taken it in for aftermarket work on the speakers as the method of installation used was not something an authorized Subaru service center would do and voided my warranty (mind you the car was 3 weeks old). They used cheap Scotch Locks instead of soldering the wires like professionals. I then worked with the Renton service manager Justin who said he d personally meet me and discuss options to resolve this if I brought the car in that afternoon. I drove 2 hours and Justin had already left for the day despite me arriving within 10 minutes of our arraigned time to meet. I was then assisted by Brad who was so full of BS I wondered if he had just wondered in from one of the used car lots near by. He explained that due to the location they were not able to do things right and the only option they could provide was to remove the system altogether and refund me (despite the Yakima service center saying it could easily be done the right way but they would have to charge me there since it was a dealer option from Renton). All in all, I got a refund and the sketchy wiring removed and reverted to stock but take my experience as a warning to never trust this service center. They are more than okay with taking a cheap and easy route and voiding your warranty. I have also noticed my electronics working better in the car since removal.

Making the recall appointment was fast and easy, even when I had to change it a few times. They got me a loaner for the 2 days, so that was great. On pickup, they lost my keys for 20m or so, which wasn't the end of the world, just a bit unprofessional. Still, for a dealer, it's fine.

TL;DR: Communication and customer service was poor/rude. Was lied to about services done, and told it's my fault. No apology or ownership of mistakes made when pointed out.I requested an oil change(tire rotation included), driver side fog light replacement, and an airbag recall. The tires weren't rotated even though I was told that they were(I have a nick in my front passenger tire, that tire is still on my front passenger wheel). When I called and asked why my tires weren't rotated they continually told me over and over that they were. Finally after going back and forth a few times they looked it up and said the tires didn't need to be rotated because my tread wear was good. Just look up my service notes and tell me that in the first place, don't keep lying about rotating my tires. Also my fog light wasn't replaced(I asked 2 people 3 or 4 times, both over the phone and in person while looking over my car). I was told it was replaced 2 or 3 times. I wasn't charged for the fog light, they just completely missed it, but told me it was replaced. When I asked what happened, they told me it was my fault for not bringing it to their attention. I have email confirmation that I requested this service. It was my first time there, was hoping to build a relationship, but they showed me they lack the communication skills necessary to be trusted. Instead of taking ownership of minor mishaps and apologizing, they push blame back on the customer. How I can trust their recommendations and work done?

Absolute and complete rip off. Stay away from this service center at all cost! They are charging 200- 300% over normal market costs for most repairs. Go somewhere else for your Subaru repairs. You will save so much money. I promise you. Also, they are incredibly slow at repairs. Just go literally anywhere else but here.I cannot stress that enough.

I had pretty good experience with them for standard warranty covered stuff in the past, but my last visit will keep me from returning. My daughter wasn't feeling well, I came in for a low beam headlight replacement. Although the headlights are ridiculously difficult to access, I have done this job many times and it takes me less than 5 minutes per bulb. Was told it would take 90 minutes... or I could schedule another time... which I would have to wait for something like 90 minutes. I should have bought the light myself and done my own replacement because of the difficulty in having it done there. I probably won't be coming back even though the bulbs go out every 4-6 months and they are covered under warranty. It is sad that is the situation. My daughter ended up throwing up in the waiting area but I guess it's better there than in my car. When I got home and went to replace the fog lights that were out, I found a screwdriver that a tech left in my wheel-well. Next time, it would be cool if someone left a wallet, ham sandwich, or at least a fancier tool. People there were plenty friendly, but I won't be back and I can't recommend anyone take their car there.

Helped a friend out by giving him a ride here to pick up his car that was getting serviced. They called to say it was ready, but when we showed up 3 hours later they hadn't even checked a leaky wheel that was specified and it was completely flat. Had to wait 45 minutes for that, and then turned on the car to find yet another specified problem hadn't even been looked at. Had to wait even longer and pay more for that fix. Overall really bad experience. If they missed stuff that was specifically identified in the maintanece request, then I have little confidence that they even do all the other check ups properly. Do not recommend coming here.Edit: after waiting 2 hours, the tire went flat again. Took the car back and it took them 30 minutes to diagnose that they have to replace it, taking another 30 minutes. Horrible service.

Excellent service. I went there fixing my low tire pressure light lit up frequently. The service representative jumped into it and found that it might be my own fault on not gauging the pressure regularly and filled the pressure right. He did a good job explaining the situation to me and fix the issue. Nothing charged to me. I felt guilty on bringing some stupid issue to the service center but I was a very happy guy getting the car back with 100% satisfaction on their services.

This was my second oil change at Walker s. The first one, I was able to schedule an oil change on line. Showed up on time and said I had an appointment for an oil change. Nothing was said to me at the time that they don t take appointments for oil changes. After an hour of waiting I ask a different service person and I was told they don t gave appointments for oil changes. I ask was I able to make one? She was nice enough to apologize and said my next oil change will be free.Friday I went to get my second oil change on my car. Everything was going very smooth. I was sitting right next to service desk when I saw on me of the mechanic ms come and whisper something but I did hear #19 so I knew they were talking about my car. I had a feeling something was up and expected someone to come over and say something. Service guy did not and went back looking at his put. 10 minutes later he said my car was ready. He did all the paperwork and said it was good to go. I then confronted him and ask what the service guy said about my car. Oh it s nothing, drain plug was cross threaded. I asked if he was ever going to tell me, he said it s no big deal happens all the time. I said it has never happened to me. He said because you probably where never told. On a side not a customer previous to me was told his plug was cross threaded. When I was walking out the mechanic stopped me and told me the filter was cross threaded and had a hard time getting it off and spilt oil on my engine. He said they pressure washed it but when you start it it will steam. I went back inside and ask why the service guy lied about what happened. He never once apologized, corrected his statement or took care of the sit. I then started my car and saw the smoke come from the engine. At the same time the inside of my car had a toxic smell of oil. I immediately shut off my engine to go find a manager. I told Kim the story and got a loaner car. I can t believe they where expecting me to drive away like that. This is the last time I will get a service her. It is more convenient but will go back to Ballard will I purchased my car.
