Good group of guys!Been there 3 times and the work was done properly!Always at a good price for professional work. The only shop I trust in the PNW.They did the transmission filter and fluid on my truck and infinity. They've never shifted better!

My vehicle's battery failed, leaving my wife stranded at our child's school unable to start the car. She contacted Stingray Auto Repair, and they promptly arrived to jump-start the car at no cost. Since they didn't have the needed battery, I purchased one from Costco and asked for their assistance in installing it. The owner replaced the battery in under 10 minutes without charging me. Their service was exceptionally professional, and the owner demonstrated remarkable honesty a rarity in the auto repair industry. Great set of honest people here. They did diagnosis at no cost and was an easy fix and hence didn t charge for that either. It was my lucky day to have this problem and to have found these guys. Very professional and knowledgeable and highly recommended.

Stingray Auto was friendly and competent. They diagnosed and repaired the failing components on my truck. So far all is well with it. Additional work I asked for them to look into was overlooked?? I will use them again, but will be very explicit with actions to complete.

This was my first time taking my car to Stingray. Jason made me feel at ease and didn't make me feel rushed if I had questions. I was able to get my car in and back fast. They completely fixed my a/c issues and it did not break the bank. Jason was very professional and personable which I like. Being a woman having to take my car into a repair shop, I always dread being made to feel like I am wasting their time. I did not feel that way at all either on the phone or in person. They forgot to tighten/check torque on the bolts on parking brake drum after replacement. This resulted in parking brake failure on a sloped driveway. This was only the second time I drove this truck since picking it up from Stingray's. Very careless work that resulted in a dangerous situation.

We've been trusting Jason at Stingray Auto with our Toyotas for years and years. He has been incredible - helping us to hang on to a 2002 Tacoma & a 2004 Sienna by advising, guiding, maintaining and repairing our cars as needed. He helps us decide what really must be done, and what we can let go.For years we've had warning lights come on in our van, and he has reset and reassured us over and over, never charging us for the diagnosis or the reset. We've saved thousands and thousands of dollars because of Jason. When we've needed big repairs, he is always willing to help us figure out how to do it in the most affordable way possible, and stands behind their work 100%.Stingray truly cares about its customers, its integrity and its high standard of workmanship.We've never owned cars with over 200K miles on them, but we do now, as we save for new vehicles when we need to get them. If you are looking for a new auto repair shop, don't hesitate to come here! I came here with a Groupon for a synthetic oil change. My car had been making these really loud noises, but not consistently. Thus, it was hard to bring my car in for repair. However, once the mechanic finished the oil change and started my car to bring it forward, it made the loud noise. He proceeded to fix problem, which took about 10-15 minutes. When I had inquired about payment for the fix, the front desk gentleman told me that there was no charge and that they would talk to a customer prior to performing service if there was a charge. They even opened up the front hood and showed and explained to me why the noise was happening - a pipe had been touching the AC/defroster fan. I was absolutely blown away by their customer service and ethics. As a female who isn't knowledgeable about engines, I left feeling confident I can trust these guys to treat me and other customers fairly. I wish I got the names of the two gentleman that were so helpful (a huge thank you!). Highly recommend!

Jason, the owner, has got to be the most honest shop owner that I have dealt with. I was ghosted by Plateau Motors in Sammamish after giving them thousands of dollars in business for 5 years so referred by my father in law, I limped my old truck down to Stingray Auto Repair for some kind of fuel flow issue that was beyond my semi-limited mechanical skill set. I was contacted by Jason after a couple weeks (I told him that there was no rush) that my truck was ready. I paid for the service and started it up and couldn't even drive it out of the parking lot. Jason confirmed that the problem still existed and pulled my old truck back near the garage. A couple weeks later Jason calls me and tells me that the problem wasn't what they thought and it is now fixed and my truck is ready to roll. I went to pick it up and pay for the additional work and Jason waived the additional labor and parts. I was amazed at the level of customer service. Good job guys. You'll have my family's future business. Big Blue now runs like she did 10 years ago.Service: Engine repair

The shop fixed my car and went above and beyond by repairing a problem with my fender for no charge. They don't charge to diagnose a problem either. They are very busy, so you might have to wait to get a repair.

I ve been going to Stingray for over 6 years now. Mostly for more diagnostic and diagnosis of any small or larger problems with my cars. They haven t let me down ever ! Always found a solution and some times like today it was just a problem with my battery not being installed probably at the auto parts store they tighten it up for me and even though I was late to get there before closing they still got me my car back before they closed for the weekend. Upstanding and truly honest people who really care about your car. I ll never go anyplace ever again. Thank you all for your help and quality work!!! I brought my truck in with what was an impossible or extremely time-consuming task for me to do and Jason & the Stingray team took on the project, diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts, and kept good communication while the parts were being sourced and installed. For an unscheduled drop-in with an unknown electrical problem they had me back up and running in no time at all. It wasn't the price I was wanting to pay, but was more than happy to pay it because I know had I tried to take it on myself I would've spent triple the time, may have caused more damage, and wouldn't have gone above and beyond to make sure all problems along the way were addressed. Overall great value & good service - WILL DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN FOR ALL OF OUR VEHICLES! Highly recommend.Service: Electrical

These guys are fantastic. My 10-year old car started having issues for the first time ever literally weeks before I was due to drive across the country. Justin in particular was great and very patient with me calling up repeatedly to ask questions and check on things while I was stressed out. They are thorough when diagnosing the issues and didn t charge me a dime for it. The prices for the actual repairs are very fair, they treated me with respect and didn t talk down to me like I ve experienced with other auto shops. I m very grateful for all the work they put in and highly recommend them.

This used to my go to shop for a while as I prefer to pay to local shops than chain stores, I even recommend this shop to many of my friends.I left my car there for sway bar change, which I had done before from another shop. The labor came out to be 1.5 hour, so I asked why so. The shop owner replied he had to take differential down. I told him that wasn't necessary, to cut it short it didn't go so well with him. I was also charged computer generated shop supplies fee which was conveniently 10% of total charge. Not going back again or recommending shop to anyone anymore. Again, I was standing and talking to friendly mechanic at shop in Raleigh when he did the same job, I know countless people who did it at home with a jack and no one had to move differential down.I even offered to put those aftermarket sway on another car I had (same model). I told him that If he couldn't get sways out from side and had to move differential down, I would pay the full labor he charged again.Edit: going through the reviews, I saw one response from stingray to one that said "Do we make mistakes? Yes.". But they get very angry if you say the made one.

So yes good oil filter change a Groupon, However I had more work done because my car needed it, First I was told it would be ready in 5 days, and then 2 weeks later I was told it wasn t ready and my intake was so bad it needed to cleaned before anything else can be done. When I called and politely asked about my car, I gotten very rude and exasperated responses 5 weeks later my car is finally repaired and everything settled however when I looked in the engine bay, bolts were mismatched, wires were not plugged in and My intake support wasn t even bolted on, bolt missing.. so take it as you will, easy small jobs good bigger jobs terrible. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Don t trust the vast amounts of 5 star reviews they are not accurate on how this shop functions at all. look at all the 1 star reviews and see how the owner responded to them and you ll get an idea what you ll be dealing with..

I've been going here for years, taking advantage of the Groupon oil changes. When I needed breaks on one car and major repairs on my other car, I took them here. Great service, Honest service, Jason explained everything that my cars needed and didn't need. Found out my mother took her corvettes here back in the day too. Fixing things correctly takes time and time is money, they are fair and honest. We had a power steering leak that poured fluid all over our driveway. Had our car towed to the shop and had it fixed.Jason and Justin communicate well and take the time to explain repairs in terms anyone can understand.Recommend them to your friends.Service: Engine repair

Look no further! This place is TOP NOTCH for professional, fair, quality service. The guys are sincere and thorough. I didn't realize service like this still existed, especially on the Eastside. I like this place because they are always very honest about the repairs and maintenance options. Have used them for our Toyota for many years. I first went to them asking for brake pad replacement after the dealership asked me to get brake pads replaced because they were dangerously depleted. Stingray told me that I did not have to worry about that for at least two years. Did not charge me a penny.Recently I purchased a Honda which came with lifetime free oil changes from the dealership. Naturally I went to the dealership when the car was due for maintenance. Per the Honda manual, I had to get a few inspections in addition to the oil change. The dealership quoted $100 on top of the free oil change. I called Stingray who said they do the inspections for free when we get the oil change by them. Total cost $80.

Used Groupon offer which was pretty cheap compared to other conventional oil change businesses. Their appointment runs usually 3-4 weeks. Oil change took around 45 min despite on time. So bit slower compared to regular oil change places. They also do basic inspection during oil change and let you know what is due for maintenance. Never used for repair or maintenance but overall satisfied on oil change serviceService: Oil change

Happy with my service, great Groupon deal! Everyone there is nice and professional. Just a bit upset that after free inspection I was told my break pads needed replaced. I had them done just a year ago all new high quality pads, rotors, calipers. Was told the front was 10% and back 30%. Since they were under warranty I took them back to my mechanic, they were correct on the front.. but back were fine 70%. Just get a second opinion.

I have to share how incredible these guys are! Last night, my car completely overheated while I was on my way across the mountains. I pulled over into the closest parking lot I could find, and by some stroke of luck, it happened to be Stingray Auto Repair's parking lot. I popped in to ask if I could park there quickly, and instantly, the guys ran out to see what was going on.They were about to close, but they took over and told me they were on it. I had just taken my car to another mechanic, and they had made several mistakes that caused my car to overheat and almost ruined the engine.There we were, the shop closed, my car sizzling, steaming, and splashing coolant and water everywhere, and the two guys on duty doing their best to get it up and running.They took care of the issues and saved my car. They assured me it was ready for the long drive ahead and told me what to do if it ran into any more trouble. They took their time and helped me even though they were closed.When I asked them how much I owed, they refused to let me pay. I am in awe of how kind, skillful, and attentive they were and I can't express my gratitude more! I highly suggest them and I know they are my new go-to shop if I ever need one again.

I had gone for oil changes many a times and they fixed brakes on few of my cars. I have always found them to do decent jobs.About last year our old and reliable Toyota Prius needed a new Hybrid battery and Jason who is an owner of this auto-shop quoted $2500 vs Bellevue Toyota dealer's quote of $3800. The car worked alright after installing a new hybrid battery for almost a year. But, few months ago, it developed some issues with the hybrid battery and they did warranty replacement. Subsequent to this replacement, we experienced another warning sign for hybrid battery in last few weeks thus I took the car back and this time, we had to replace 12 volt battery. Again, it It all looked good for few days and same warning issue popped up for hybrid battery. Frankly, I was getting worried and wondered if I should just go to Toyota dealer to get my car fixed. But, Jason assured me that he will check it out and they found a faulty sensor that caused hybrid system and battery to fail.Not only he replaced the faulty sensor for free but test drove the car for a long time to ensure all looked good. Jason could have charged $95 for the faulty sensor plus 2 to 3 hours of diagnostics and labors to repairs too. Since, they didn't catch this issue before, he didn't charge anything was the reason given to me - I appreciate their integrity and care shown towards workmanship. Thank you Jason for being honest Auto-shop owner.
