Phenomenal customer service. These guys perform excellent work on vehicles and have a very professional and easy to use website for managing work orders.I have to ding these guys a couple of points though for suggesting that I replace my brake pads when they have a good year or more left in them.Overall though, if you know what you want already and want an honest price for honest work, Michael's is a fantastic option.

I went in to Michael's today for an oil change. It was my first time there. My prior mechanic was great, but they are located in Arkansas. Michael's took great care of my car. They are polite and reasonably priced. And, since they knew in advance that I would be waiting, they scheduled me for a time when they could get right on the job. So, I had as short a wait as is reasonable. I know an oil change (plus inspection, plus fluid top off) is not super complex. But, my over all feel is that they are considerate and competent. And, I would trust them with any future work.

I actually work on my own vehicle most times but I know when I'm in over my head. After a few dealerships and autoshops I landed on Michaels auto repair. I would 100% use them again. They asked me proper technical questions about my broken AC system that other shops failed to diagnose correctly, and after I asked them to do a drum brake job to which they cleaned and replaced with excellent care. The lug nuts on the tire are torqued to proper spec. Price on quotes are much lower than dealerships and are fair for the work and will disclose to you the exact make and model of parts they are using. Will definitely use again.

Outstanding service and a very friendly staff. I brought my car in to have the headlight bulbs replaced but while the car was there it encountered another issue that left it unable to be driven. Michael and his team went above and beyond to expeditiously fix the the issue with the ignition lock cylinder. He returned the car to me much faster than I was expecting and he even put a new battery in my key fob. The staff did a great job of being transparent and keeping me in the loop every step of the way. I highly recommend Michael's Auto Repair!

Being new to the area its hard to know where is trustworthy. I had an issue with my Ford Focus and did a lot of research on the possible issues. I took it to another garage and they immediately jumped to the most expensive fix without even looking at the car. Michaels gave me an in depth breakdown of their findings (after initial investigation) and almost quoted word for word the research which I had previous done and tried the least expensive fix 1st.. This in fact resolved my issue. I will therefore keep this as my go to garage for any future work and would strongly recommend this family run honest business.

Needed a new alternator in my Mercedes. Got charged 1300$ for it! I I know that's an easy fix so felt robbed. Also, took them over a week to do it. I went to get my car 2 different times because they said it'd be ready and wasn't. But the work they did fixed the car so that's good. Only used them cause it was nearby and my car needed towed, won't be going back.Service: Auto maintenance

I was very impressed that Michael's did a thorough and timely diagnosis on my car. I have an older car and they did a quick check of the main elements for ensuring a good running engine and found it was the mixture adjustment on the carburetor. The car is running great now and I wish I had gone here sooner. Great work guys!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

My family is client of Michael's Auto Repair for more than 10 years. They took really good care of our Subaru and now they take care of my Mini. It took me some time to find somebody that I could trust in this field but I'm glad we found Wilma and Michael. Michael was a car racer and have a deep knowledge of engines. We are very happy with their prices, value and professionalism and happy that they also take care of my Mini Cooper! Keep the amazing good work, guys!

Came in with an appointment to have a very minor suspension part replaced and was refused service.Michael's Auto Repair brought my car into the shop for all of 15mins before coming back to tell me that there was a frozen bolt and they did not want to work on it. I offered to pay hourly above the book time and was still refused. They only tried removing this bolt with an impact gun and did not attempt to use penetrant or heat. It seems if the job is not an easy one then Michael's Auto Repair is not interested. Two stars instead of one, because I was not charged anything and was able to speak with the owner. Fair pricing on the quote they gave me.

After a major radiator issue on the road for a trip, Michael's Auto was not only the friendliest mechanics in an otherwise dull town, they were the best of people when it came to service. If it weren't for Michael's, our vacation would of been a total disaster! He took our car, fixed what needed to be fixed, and was nice enough to hold our car for the entire time we were gone. By the time we got back, everything was finished, done perfectly, all at a great price. I can not express how greatful I am for such a great mechanic who is as honest and decent as the people who helped us were. Thanks a lot for the amazing service!!!

I don't know what happened to Michael, but now you have someone else. Go in and it's not reassuring - it's contentious and argumentative with the least amount of questioning of what the work will entail. I recently went in for work on weak brakes and a flat spot on throttle response. $1500 later, the problems remain. Going back for rework gets quotes for more diagnostic charges without assurances of a fix. I like to support independent shops but cars now have so many proprietary coding interfaces - for brake controllers, throttle bodies, everything. I think independent shops just don't have access to the latest manufacturer OS rev's for these devices, or the tools for diagnostics or to burn the coding for every vehicle. For a complicated repair such as this, I should have just gone to the dealer.Update: I took the car to the dealership. They hooked it up to the manufacturer's diagnostic tool and immediately found a faulty brake light switch on the brake pedal. It was sending faulty inputs to both the ABS brake control unit and the electronic throttle control unit. They replaced the switch and burned the latest factory firmware to those programmable control modules. $300 later, both problems fixed. That's way better than replacing good parts with fingers crossed in hopes of a fix! Caveat Emptor.Services: Engine repair, Brakes

I don't like their hours, but I love their service. Very trustworthy, and I feel the pricing is reasonable. My greatly appreciate how knowledgeable Kerry is and gifs efforts to explain everything wrong with your car, why it's wrong, and why it needs to be fixed. When I had major catalytic converter problems, the team here had me back on my feet pretty quickly and was definitely cheaper then going to AA. The website provides easily accessible service recommendations, their estimated costs, and receipts.

I brought my car to Michael's after the battery died. It cost $200, $100 for the battery, and $100 for the labor. It was kind of expensive, but the receptionist, Tessa, was very nice and welcoming. It's rare to see a receptionist at an auto repair place. She gave me a ride to the transit center when my friend couldn't make it and also gave me some water to drink while I was waiting. The mechanic, Michael, gave me a good explanation of what he was going to do to try to figure out the problem and fix it. When my car was ready to be picked up, Tessa called again to make sure I had a way to get back to the shop. I'd definitely recommend Michael's for the honesty and the service. I originally chose this shop because it was close to where my car died, but I think I lucked out.

It is rare to find auto experts who believe in fixing things right. So I'm glad I found Michael. He recently replaced the failing heater-core of my long-owned Audi and it didn't take me long to recognize the high quality work that went in. I don't normally endorse someone within a couple of days but Michael's commitment to make sure the customer is happy is so evident, no point waiting to write this review :)

I had an issue with my car's alternator and battery. Both died, leaving me stuck on the road. On the plus side, they were able to get me in the same day, and had the issue fixed in the next few days. Their entire staff was friendly and helpful. On the downside, said alternator failed eight months later. Not necessarily their doing; sometimes a part is just faulty. However, they insisted that I'd need to take the car back to them for the repair to be covered under their warranty. Risking another stall on the freeway doesn't seem like a good idea, and the cost of a tow truck would work out to a bit less than the cost of a new alternator. I asked if I could just provide them with the old alternator after it was replaced, but they said that wouldn't be acceptable; they'd need to see it in the car. So, eight months later, I'm out the cost of another alternator.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Battery

I wish I could give less than 1 star. My car ran over the water log and the metal and plastic cover from the bottom came off and needed a new one. I called them initially and sent the pictures of the part, they needed me to get the car in to order the right parts but initially quoted me $229 including parts and labor based on the pictures shared earlier. Dropped off the vehicle later and they kept it all day and gave me a quote of $415 for the same parts + some additional bolts which take about $20. I declined to get the parts ordered and was charged $81, Never in any of my conversations was I told that there is a charge to inspect and that too at this extent. Would never recommend it to anyone and expect them to be more transparent about their prices.

I'm not quite sure how to rate this place. They seemed friendly and competent. However, when I went in with a failed emissions test where I coded with the thermostat not letting the coolant get up to temp, they replaced the thermostat and the code didn't go away. I don't know if the repair was botched or not, but I am willing to give benefit of the doubt and I sold my car shortly after, so I don't know the final verdict. I am willing to try them again.

This shop provided me hope in an otherwise bleak situation. I ve recently had to do business with Michael s Auto Repair and am very grateful how helpful everyone was at this shop. Recently my mom has had a lot of car issues and she has had to go to several repair shops. Unfortunately the other repair shops were not nearly as helpful and understanding to my mom s situation. I would call the other shops (I am out state) to discuss the potential issues on behalf of my mom and they would not follow through with discussing the issues with me also, in order to give advice to my mom. Michael s Auto repair kept me informed each step of the process and was willing to go over their diagnoses with me and welcomed my input since I have history with her vehicle. I d highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable, understanding and detail-oriented professionals. It really showed that they cared for my mother s situation.

By my profession, I moved five different states last six years. Every time I moved, I always had a difficult time to find the right barber (or hair stylist), a vet (for my dog) and a trustworthy auto mechanic. All the trust and relationship that I established with them, I had to start all over with new people every time I moved. I believe that, at least, my search is over for finding the right auto mechanic for my cars until I will move again. I am a very inquisitive person and a tester & verification engineer by my profession. When my car was in need for an expensive repair, Michael, the shop owner, explained to me what the necessary things I should have them fix and what options are. Not only just for saving money sake, I can trust him and his shop engineers that the only necessary right fix was applied and done correctly. His should be in "Cartalk"s recommended shops list! Thanks Michael and his team!

They fixed a leak in the valve cover gasket on my little brothers car, and mentioned that the brake fluid reservoir cap was missing. Somehow they didn't look 1 inch past that to see that the reservoir was filled with dirt and leaves, meaning that the brake fluid was very very dirty, which any halfway decent mechanic knows that is a big issue. They are lucky I came and gave the car a look over, because if my little brother had started driving it and gotten into a wreck because his brakes got clogged, he could have gotten hurt or killed, and they would've been sued out of business. They are extremely negligent and could get someone injured or killed for it. Also, they did not check the air filter, which was EXTREMELY dirty, and the filter box had some kind of nest in it, and they told us they did an oil change, which they most certainly did NOT do. Would give 0 stars if I could, or negative.

Been there 3 times. (was fooled by the reviews )Service quality, 1 star. (Coz same 2 problem happened after 4.5 months with my Camry 2013. )Price 3: fair price, not the most expensive . But usually double the price that I spend on another shop for the same problem. ( I have asked same price for two problem. )responsibility: 1 : For the same problem, they fixed it. After 3 months, same thing happened again on the same part, they figured a problem, I questioned it. I think it should not be that one. They say, OK, it's actually including more problem on the same part. So they charge more.(I don't understand why they get such high review)Communication: 3 . Pretty good front desk lady.I was fooled by the reviews here. (GUYS, be serious about your review, and please leave your review if possible. Otherwise their employee would leave good review. I was told that I can register 20 gmail accounts, and leave all 5-star review. )

I love this place. He's good about upfront pricing and doesn't stray to far from the quote. Also will let you know of other problems he sees while working on the car. This can cut down on rework cost if done at the same time.
