Had the transmission in our Ford F350 Completely rebuilt. Recently just had them repair the shifter in the steering column. They did a great job. They charge a fair price and do great work. They call and follow up and are great about explaining all the repairs and what's needed. Hard to find an honest mechanic.Funny if you read the couple low reviews are for the wrong place by people who were not never customers...Service: Transmission

I replaced all of the break pads & rotors, and the windshield glass for my bmw here. They got the original manufacturer parts for me, and did a very good job to install everything perfectly. The price for the labor was way cheaper than the bmw dealer, and their service was great. I'm very satisfied working with Bobby!Services: Auto glass repair, Brakes, Oil changeServices: Auto glass repair, Brakes, Oil change

I recently had major repair work done on my Chevy four-wheel-drive pick up. They replaced my transmission and transfer case with low mileage ones and rebuilt the rear differential, what a difference! The truck feels like brand new! They were very professional and took care of me in a very timely manner and the price was very reasonable! What a great shop! I am a customer for life!

WOW. Amazing experience at East Side Auto Care today! We had a few problems with our vehicle and were pretty anxious about the overall diagnosis. Bobby and the team were absolutely fantastic and instantly put our worries at ease. They took such good care of us, communicated with us through the entire process, and even provided a ride home for us after we dropped our car off! This company truly cares about it s customers. If I could give more than five stars I would! Thank you, East Side Auto Care! We will be recommending you to all our friends and family!!Services: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

They charged $70 for an oil change on a Ford compact car. In comparison, the Ford dealership charges $54 for the same service. There was no communication, before or after the service. There was no report of the general condition of the car at checkout (battery life, tire wear level, etc.).Service: Oil change

I had a check engine light that was keeping my truck from speeding up, starter problems, and a clunking sound somewhere along my suspension. It was my first time there. Aside from my current issue, they did an inspection to check for other issues that may come up later, and sent me a report with reasons, pictures, and possible dates for a future visit if I chose to do the work with them. They fixed my truck in good time. Chi was very kind and informative through the process. I would definitely visit again.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Seriously the best people around. I m skeptical of auto shops in general because I m a chick who doesn t know anything about cars, so I m always wary of getting taken advantage of. But these guys and gals (namely Bill!) are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and easy going. I brought my pickup in for an oil change and to fix my heat in the cab, and when I came back to get my truck, they had closed early due to an internal circumstance. Because of this, they didn t even charge me for the service they provided. Unreal! So the following week, I brought my boyfriend s truck in for an oil change, and to get an estimate on some repairs. They re offering super affordable rates, and are honest about what *needs* to be done versus what *could* be done, knowing that I own a farm business and cash is tight. I couldn t be happier with the service, quality, and integrity of these folks. I ll never go anywhere else for car repairs.

I have been taking my family cars to Bill and Carlos for several years. When first considering Eastside Auto Care it was simply to compare their thoughts and pricing to the shop I was using at the time. I was very impressed with how thorough they explained everything and allowed me to make a decision based on no pressure from them. They have continually provided that same attention to details and, although they suggest/recommend certain services, the decision is always mine at no pressure.Their pricing has always been fair. They stand behind their work. They have always provided quality service and craftsmanship.

I brought my car in for a check up before driving across country and it needed a LOT of work. Chi was wonderful! He kept us updated every step of the way, showed us exactly what needed attention and did the research to find the most cost effective options. We were on a time crunch and he stayed late to make sure I could have my car when I needed it and followed up to make sure all was good. Please go check them out for all your car needs!

If you are reading this I assume you are researching a good place to take your vehicle, I am the same way. In short, they saved me over $600 and got everything done in 1 day. Long story - After a lot of research, I landed on this place and now happily drive over an hour to see them whenever I need to. Recently I went in for my 100k checkup and needed to get several repairs done for my SUV. I confidently dropped my car off at night to go out of town for a few days. The next day, after several conversations with Carlos we negotiated a fair price, I got a call the very next afternoon saying my car was done. I was in absolute shock. I go to pickup my car and am greeted by the owner; their was a misunderstanding between Carlos and I about the final cost due to sales tax. I expected to pay this difference but the owner gave me the tax off AND an additional discount. I have never been more confident, happy, and assured in who I am taking my car to and will recommend anyone to this place.

I had my RV towed to this shop to have 3 belts changed (they quoted me over the phone and by email $150 labor, they actually charged $200 when I picked up the RV) and to have 1 broken spark plug wire changed (I provided the new wire). I mentioned the RV did not pass emissions but did not request them to diagnose why or to repair it.I did not authorize them to diagnosis why the RV did not pass emissions. They originally charged me $128 for the unauthorized diagnosis and after arguing with them in the shop they reduced the charge to $60.They did not actually repair the broken spark plug wire, but replaced a random wire on the opposite side of the engine that was not damaged and let me drive the RV home with the broken wire and misfiring engine. They argued that they were required to remove the doghouse/engine cover to change the spark plug wire, but did not have to remove it to change the belts. Stating this is why they were required to charge a minimum of 1 hour for changing a single wire. They left rust on the engine pulleys after changing the belts, the rust should have been removed when the belts were changed because it will damage the newly replaced belts. This job was not completed properly and will require more work to do so.They parked my RV on the street after its trip permit tabs were expired. They acknowledged that the Redmond police were out towing away another RV that was parked next to mine and I should hurry and get out there to make sure I don t get towed to. Sure enough the Redmond police were there and I had to explain to them why not to ticket me. It was a matter of minutes away from my RV receiving a ticket for where the shop parked it.Summary: They charged me for unauthorized work for a diagnosis $60 + tax (originally $128 + tax), Then charged $128 + tax for replacing the wrong spark plug wire and NOT the broken spark plug wire and $50 + tax overcharge from what they quoted in writing. For a total of $261.80 ($238 labor + $23.8 tax) bad charges on a $523.72 repair bill. The overall experience with this shop on a scale of 1-10 would be a 1 and I would advise anyone reading this to avoid dealing with them.

Had the brakes replaced on a 2000 Lexus RX300. Bobby & his team did a fine job. I got a ride to home and back to the shop to pick up the vehicle. The cost was also reasonable. The work was backed up by a 2 year warranty. I have been a repeat customer here for over 10 years.

Eastside auto care and owner are very knowledgeable and detail oriented. They identified the root cause of check engine light. Provided me the time to fix and estimation accurately. The cost is in line with regional cost and lot less then car dealers. The fix is perfect. I've Been to this shop on 2 separate occasions & the staff were great both times.Bought a used car and took it to them for repairs, their estimates were fair (and competitive with other shops in the area for the work I was quoted for), and their service has held up several months later. I brought it back to them when I heard a squeaking (that was later identified by the shop at no cost to me) as a control arm issue, they give me the best deal out of 3 shops as well as giving me a ride from, and back to, the shop so that I could wait out the long repair at my home. They were friendly, the service cost was fair and in line with averages (good for the area too), and they explained every issue that they found with the car so that I would understand why it was an issue as well as offering to show me the issue so that I would understand why that part was an issue and needed to be replaced. They've provided great service, and I would be happy to recommend them. Thanks to Joe who I dealt with the most, and the driver whose name I forget (my bad dude!), but was courteous and a better ride than some cabs I've taken, and last but not least cheers to the mechanic!-Pierson /2010FF

Brought my toyota sienna 2009 to east side today due to a weird and loud noise. I left the car there and got a ride home. The issue was resolved the same day. Cost was really fair and the noise fully vanished. This place is reliable! Will recommend to my friends.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

This is the is the second time I have worked with them since they were purchased. I had work done on my car for an engine light, they replaced a part, the part failed 2 times within 30 miles of driving. They said they would fix it with an OEM part, after having my car for over 2 weeks I asked them for a recipe to confirm the part s authenticity, they refused to show me a receipt, an invoice or any other proof. The owner also became very defensive and told me he wouldn t ask to see my company records. It was a very bad experience working with them. They also washed my car without permission and knocked loose a roof seal. Do NOT take your car to Eastside Auto Care.(This is an update to my review, they called me today to tell me that they had removed from employment the "Owner" who was difficult to work with.) I still do not trust them as I have heard three different stories about my car, and they are now telling me the fellow who said he was co-owner was not owner at all and only worked there for 3 months. I have raised my review from 1 star to 2 based on the follow up.)When asked if they could do anything for me to change my opinion, I told them that my review is based on the truthfulness of my experience and I wouldn t want to risk my car or risk the trust of my friends or colleagues by saying the experience at the time of my service was an less of a nightmare. I hope they have corrected the management at this shop.

Friendly fast service. Honest and transparent about repairs and recommendations. Easy to talk to and willing to keep cost down. I went in for brakes service and they looked over the rest of the car to ensure nothing was critically wrong. They fixed a few other issues with my car and it was very affordable. Will gladly go back for more repairs or service.

I have a 1988 Toyota Pickup that died of unknown causes in drive. I spent 2 weeks going over it attempting to fix the issue; sparkplugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, etc Could not find the cause and it ended up in a mess of taken apart parts, lost bolts and messed-up spark plugs holes. It was beyond my technical ability. I had a friend AAA it to this shop; I got it recommended to me by a friend with the promise of a thorough diagnostic. I wanted to spend as little money as I could and know if it was something I can fix. I dropped it off late and after hours with the mess of parts thrown in the bed. They got right onto it in the morning and gave me a call by 10 am. I came in and for about 100 dollars I had a concise answer and part list. I decided it was too much for me to do in my friend s driveway so I got a quote for the repairs. The bill was only for new timing components and distributors. But to my surprise when I came in and paid the original invoice, for free with no hassle they gave me new brake pads, a rotor and battery terminals. They did a great job, left my parts clean and grease-free. I am very happy with East Side Auto and I will return with all my heaps of automotive problems.

I had check engine light on and everywhere people will charge $100-$150 just checking it. Dave offered me free check. I went there, it took his mechanic less than 20 minutes to diagnose and fixed the problem. And they stuck to no charge even though I offered to pay some money for the time they spent. Impressed by their professionalism, I asked a quote for another problem the car had, they offered the lowest price than everywhere else and I trust they will do an equally great work. Honest, incredibly nice and capable! It will be my default garage.

I just moved to Redmond from out of state so when my check engine light came on I was in a panic and had no idea who to turn to. Called these guys and they were friendly on the phone and set up an appointment for a diagnostic. When they told me what was wrong and what they recommended it was more work than I had anticipated but it was very much needed. Part of the work included maintenance I knew was going to be needed soon so it made sense to have them go ahead and do it now. Service was done in a few hours with no hassle. Will use them again.

Joe was amazing and the mechanic whom worked on my car is very good at what he does. I brought my bmw 328 xdrive in with a check engine light in and within the first 30 minutes a diagnostic was made and parts order and sent immediately to the shop. Within 3 hours all in the same day my car was back to like new and I couldn t be more pleased. Definitely give these guys a shot. Thanks again Eastside Auto Care !

I found a auto mechanic for life! Dave, first and foremost, cares about people. I felt that the moment I walked in the door. He wants to treat people with respect and understands the wants and needs that each one of his customers have and does his best to meet all those needs. That certainly was the case for me when I dropped off my car at his place today. Not only did he make me feel at ease and didn't bs about anything but shot straight with me and told me what I could expect. Then he called me up and met all those expectations and finished before the time he promised! It was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had at an auto repair shop. He will take care of you first and then your car. What an amazing mechanic but even a better person!

This business wanted to charge me $870 for repairs my car IN NO WAY NEEDED. The manager (Joe? I'm not even sure he was truthful about his name) at the front lied to me continuously the entire time I was there to pick up my car.He tried to say that he told me over the phone how much a diagnostic would cost. (He did not, when I asked him to play back the phone call he said they didn't record their calls. Convenient.)He tried to say he told me that when I dropped the car off the diagnostic was approx $120 before tax. (He did not, he just took my information and the keys. He didn't even have me sign anything. )He called after the diagnostic to tell me my car needed to have the computer reprogrammed and a part replaced, he did not elaborate on what that meant even though I asked him. When I arrived the next day to pick up my car and he tried to charge me for the diagnostic and started with his lies, (such as, "You are the only customer I've had a problem with in 6 months....those recent reviews are wrong) I asked to speak with the owner. He said VERY CLEARLY "I am the manager. I am the owner." Another mechanic walked in and I asked that mechanic "Is this guy the owner of this business?" and he said NO! He's just the manager! I said either he would need to call the owner or we could call the police. He ended up giving me the key and a printout of the car diagnostic and I left without paying anything. When I got my car to the Kia dealership a few days later, I gave the printout to the guy there and he said it made NO SENSE. He even called this place to get them to elaborate and they couldn't tell him anything useful. He ended up giving me the printout back because it made no sense and they couldn't use it to help diagnose the car. My car ended up having an error code for a cold start idle air control system performance, which is very common in kias. They cleared the code and performed a test just in case and the car was found to be in great condition. Nothing needed to be replaced and it didn't cost anything. I left the dealership paying NOTHING. The manager at Eastside tried to bully me into paying for something I never agreed to, and tried to trick me into paying for expensive repairs my car did not need AT ALL. Something must have changed recently to get these negative reviews coming in because it looks like in the past they were getting great reviews.

It's not very often I come out of a mechanic shop with confidence that they were dealing strait with me and I received a fair deal. But Eastside Auto Care did a great job. They explained the job to me and explained how they came to asses the repair and they came in with a lower bid than others in the area.I'll continue to bring my cars in here for repair.

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to for Eastside Auto because of how great they are. I have a long, infuriating history of bad experiences with auto repair shops. As someone who is obsessively protective and extremely particular about his car, this is the only shop I trust. My quality standards are incredibly high (think perfection) but Eastside is able to hit the mark every time.Bill the owner is always a pleasure to work with. He's honest, personable, highly skilled, and cares about his customers and his work.A few weeks ago I had my car in to have the negative ground wire and chassis ground bolt replaced. I would have done it myself but I accidently rounded off the nut fastening the negative cable to the chassis. Because of the location of the ground point and damage done to the nut, it required a bit of creativity and good attention to detail to fix. Normally, for a job like this, the ground point would be relocated to another part of the chassis--which, in my opinion, is sloppy. I told Bill that I wanted to use the original ground point, and he did just that. He was able to fix the original ground point without a problem. It looked factory new. His workmanship is impeccable.Another time, I had the rear suspension done on my car. The parts that were replaced had never been replaced before. My car is 18 years old and spent most of her life in NY, so getting the old parts off was a huge undertaking due to rust. This job was actually how I found Eastside. Prior to them, I had another garage start this job. They got halfway through before refusing to perform any additional work due to what they considered "severe" rust. (My car does not have "severe" rust. I'd be happy to show them what a car from the salt belt with "severe" rust looks like.) Bill gladly accepted this job despite my forewarning of rust. The job was completed successfully despite some hiccups, and to my seemingly impossible standard of quality.Eastside is somewhat expensive but all of their work is backed by a three year warranty and a team of highly skilled and competent mechanics who take pride in their work. In my experience, finding competent mechanics who care is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Great Service. Tail break light of my car was not working, and I had already replaced it with new bulb so I thought there might be wiring issue or something and was very worried that it would cost me a lot. I called eastside auto care and scheduled an appointment,it took only 5 min for them to figure out what the problem was and guess what they didn't even charge me for that since it was very minor issue! Wonderful experience.I would definitely recommend.

They were able to fit me in same day and change my car battery using the one I bought. I was so stressed since I spent 2 hours (and failed) to attempt to change my battery. They were able to change it quickly and efficiently despite it being very corroded. They were very friendly and professional.Service: BatteryService: Battery

This is the best and only place to take a vehicle for maintenance or repairs in the area. Ever since I put a new engine and after market headers on my '83 GMC truck I have had a lot of issues with the header gasket blowing out. At least once a year they would blow out and I would struggle to find someone to fix it, other mechanics tries different gaskets, and recommended buying different headers, etc. The mechanic before I brought it here said it would cost me over $700. What?? That's just for gaskets. Anyway I found Eastside Auto I took my 1983 GMC truck in to them after a phone quote of around $270 for BOTH gaskets out the door. Dropped it off picked it up next day after work and it was done just like they said but the total after all taxes etc was $247. That was 2 years ago and the gaskets are still holding up with no leaks which is why I decided to write this review today.Highly recommend them if you are hesitant don't be they are knowledgeable and professional and fair.

What a find! I am commuting from Tacoma to Redmond for a few months and the other morning my check in light on my newly purchased used car went on in traffic. I worried it was something more serious and called Eastside. They said to just bring it by whenever worked for me; the flexibility was wonderful! Both people I interacted with were friendly, informative and very honest. Turns out it was a false alarm, but the time they took to make sure everything was as it should be was much appreciated! Great shop, thank you!

Dave is the most honest mechanic I have ever met! Extreemly fair prices and quick service. Never tries to up sell for anything not needed and does the job right. I have gone to quite a few mechanics and once I found Dave I will never go anywhere else. The first time I came to Dave I had a fuel pump problem that I had fixed twice in one week for very expensive from two different mechanics both cheats and when I came to Dave and he fixed it right! I recommend him every chance I get!
