Chris and Tyler have been great to work with. I took a prospective 996 TT to them to perform a PPI. I was very impressed with their process and they are also helping me ship the car to my home in another state. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience here.

Know these cars so very well. Just call and before describing what s happening they know cause and how to fix. Been taking great care of my 911 since I purchased it. Highly recommend.

Chris's German knows all Porsches inside and out. They recently solved a weird issue on my 1971 911 front brakes that only deep knowledge and experience could solve. Chris and his crew are always open to being an involved Porsche owner. Highly recommended.

I have been bringing my 1990 911/964 C4 Cabriolet to Chris and team for years now. While doing an amazing job, Chris has also had a lookout for wallet, saving me money by occasionally using used OEM parts where possible which have worked out great! Recently, Chris and Mark teamed-up and rebuilt my tired engine, and along with a few premium upgrades, I have more horsepower and the engine sounds great! If you want the best, rely on Chris and his staff to keep your car running like it just came off the assembly line...or in my case, even better!

I was very happy with my experience at Chris s German Auto when they handled the annual service for my 2015 Macan S. This was the first time I used them, and I will definitely be back. Five stars!

I came to Chris s German Auto with an easy lay up for them to be heroes and they proved right away to be experts at their craft. I purchased a Porsche out of town and before driving a single mile I had a very well known independent Porsche shop in the Phoenix, AZ area (that s been in business for 50 years) do preventative maintenance just so that I was starting off fresh with this new vehicle. The shop in Phoenix did an IMS upgrade, RMS, new clutch, spark plugs and chain rail pads and a pre-purchase inspection. We all know what that final bill looked like $$,$$$.Well they botched the job. The vehicle had small oil leaks at every single touch point. 5 leaks total. Upon getting the vehicle up here to the Seattle area, Chris s German Auto was recommended to me by a local Porsche expert. They quickly got my vehicle in and redid all the work that was done at the Phoenix shop. (the parts were not replaced as they were new but of course they had to take everything apart again to reseal everything properly so it was in essence a complete redo of the job)Chris s shared their findings with me on why the leaks had occurred and sadly it was simply sloppy work like not inserting seals properly. They politely shared their findings with me and also sent a note to the previous shop with a polite suggestion that the other shop should help out with the cost of the work having to be redone (which I did not expect or ask them to do. That was a very nice gesture)The problem has been resolved and I have had my Porsche in at Chris s German Auto for a few other items like motor mount replacement and a few other small things and have all been perfect experiences. Chris s is an established shop that does great work at a reasonable price. They are very laid back and easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and the work is done right the first time. They are not going to push repairs on you but rather just let you know how things are looking and if something is wearing but not broken yet they let you know and they keep an eye on it at each service and only recommend replacement when it s the appropriate wear level when it should be replaced. I live an hour away from their shop and I m happy to make the drive knowing they are certainly one of the best options for Porsche maintenance in the Seattle area.Oh, and I don t want to leave you hanging on what happened with the other shop. Unfortunately I did not receive a single penny of reimbursement from the Phoenix shop. But I won t have to worry about that anymore with a shop like Chris s German Auto taking care of my Porsche moving forward.

Change your name to Chris's Porsche only service. Not only annoying because we drove an the way over there with our Mercedes (and the fact that your name literally says German Auto repair right in the name), but more so by the unwillingness to really even come out and help us with our check engine light. Not one person in your entire shop has an obd2 scanner? Really? Although possible, it just seemed highly unlikely.. and the vibe about lifting a finger was just distasteful and annoying.

For 10+ years now, Chris's German has been my go to dependable shop for my 1999 Carrera Cabriolet. Excellent service for everything from standard oil changes to fixing convertible top hydraulic issues and emergency repairs on a failed water pump. Things go wrong on 20+ year old Porsches. I can always count on Chris's German diagnosing what's wrong and getting me back on the road.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

After more than 20 years of beinng No Longer Available (NLA) Porsche finally produced a batch of 38 new "early" dashes for the 924/944 cars.Chris's was the only local shop willing or able to do an entire dash swap on my 1988 924S.A couple months ago, Chris's also repaired some major fuel tank issues, door handle issues, and some other irritating issues that has been bothering me about this car for a long time. As always, they did a great job.Always a pleasure to work with Chris's German.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

Great team you can trust to take care of your vintage or modern Porsche. They did everything from routine maintenance to a full engine replacement on my 987.1 and I'd trust them to do it again. The shop is like a museum there are so many awesome cars at any given point, so even the experience of dropping the car off is enjoyable.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnosticServices: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

There were a lot of delays with parts and sick mechanics but this was still one of the best experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. They've made a customer for life. I brought it in for preventative maintenance and asked them what else needed to be done. They provided me with a detailed itemized list and I told them to do all of it. They actually ended up doing and charging me less than originally quoted because they realized some of the things they thought needed to be done wasn't actually needed on closer inspection. Who does that? I feel like most mechanics would have done it anyway to get the extra cash. They also offered to swap winter tires on for me while I was picking it up and we quickly realized I bought wheels with the wrong spacing. They never made me feels stupid, they sent me to a shop nearby that sells spacers and got it sorted. And while we were waiting for them to mount the tires Tyler, the manager there, was giving my son advice on tuning his GTI. All in all a great experience.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Dropped off my car after my shifter cable broke on late Sunday.Tyler called me on Monday to ask a few questions and let me know they will check the car. As predicted the shifter cables broke and needed to be replaced.Price: the parts prices were very reasonable.Labor wise I thought it was way over the top.Besides the labor charge to do the actual repair they also added another hour of labor just for diagnostic.(+$225).Any Porsche mechanic should be able to diagnose this issue in 15-20 mins tops especially after I have already gave them an idea where the issue lays.Car was fixed in 4 days and was good to go.Here is the most annoying part:After taking the car home and cleaning it I noticed they have left multiple trim clips off just laying in the trunk.Trunk was extremly dirty and full of debris all over the place. When you spend almost $2,000 to get something done you expect them to at least put everything together properly and clean after themselves.Service: Transmission repair

We have had several Porches over the years. Chris's is absolutely the best indie Porsche service team in the Seattle area. If you want a great job done on your car, at half the price and in half the time, with twice the level of care as the local dealer, go to Chris.Services: Electrical, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil changeServices: Electrical, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

Ken was kind and inviting. He was very knowledgeable about the services the company provides and made recommendations. They changed, almost, all the fluids in our old Cayenne including transfer case and steering wheel. The steering of the car feels a lot smoother than before. The car runs smooth, just like new. The price was shockingly high, a few thousand, but I guess that is Porsche maintenance?

Best Porsche service in the PNW. They expertly removed replaced old IMS bearing with new LN engineering bearing, RMS, clutch, air/oil exchange and fixed exhaust rattle by quick tack (no charge). Trustworthy and honest will always be my go to Porsche service. BTW Chris and Ken are great guys to work with and talk Porsche.Services: A/C installation & repair, Auto windshield replacementServices: A/C installation & repair, Auto windshield replacement

Chris's German is now the only place I'll take my Porsche for service. I discovered these guys about 5 years ago, and nobody else is allowed to touch the car now. John (front desk) is fantastic. Service is great - these guys know their stuff and take great care of their customers. Communication is excellent - I always know exactly what is going on with my car when it is in with them. And they know Porsche's so well that they can find creative (and often less expensive) solutions to problems that would really challenge most other service shops. I highly, highly recommend them for any Porsche needs you have.

They did a Pre-purchase Inspection (PPI) for me and saved me from making a very expensive mistake.I called the other Indy Porsche shops in the area but these guys were just way more responsive. They immediately answered the phone and Ken was super helpful. And then of course, they did an amazing job of finding all the problems on a car that seemed to be otherwise fine.Definetly recommend them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Unexpectedly, I have become a member to the Porsche family and have had some very encouraging experiences with Chris's German Auto. They have been very helpful, patient and courteous throughout my dealings. Sometimes routine maintenance, sometimes adding upgrades as well as a couple of mechanical issues. Never felt as though they were trying to make work or charge more than what was fair. They have also hosted in the "Tech Talks" series put on by the Pacific Northwest Porsche Club, which I appreciate. Definitely, give my highest recommendation.

Following a disappointing experience ($$) at the Bellevue Porsche dealer I had a problem arise with my car. I found Chris's after some searching and the reviews were so positive that I set an appointment. John and Chris both were very giving of their time and advice and I never felt hurried or pressured. So far they've found and fixed an intermittent issue as well as done some very nice upgrades to the vehicle. It has been a great experience and fairly priced.I expect that my car won't be going anywhere else for service in the future.

Just got off the phone with John and, just from the phone call, I can give this place 5 stars. He was awesome! He's super kind and very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer my questions--and they were many. They focus on Porsche, and they have been doing it for 30 years. John said he has worked there for 15 years--quality places to work are quality places to do business. I called around a few shops and nobody could perform the service I was looking for but John brought it up before I even said it--he knew! Everybody recommends these guys and I will definitely bring my car in there soon. Thanks again for your time, John!

I've been going to Chris's for more than 30 years. If there's a better shop anywhere for repairs of Porsches of all ages, I've never heard about it. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and he has a top-notch team. You won't go wrong in working with them!
