Peter in service goes above and beyond for his customers, I wouldn t take my Subaru anywhere other than here just because of Peter! Also, ask for Hunter to work on your car, he does exceptional work!

It's incredibly disheartening and frustrating to share this, but my experience with the service department here has been nothing short of a nightmare. I want to make it clear that my issue isn't representative of my purchase as my sale rep, Bryan Giffard, was absolutely wonderful in helping me purchase my car. My frustration is directed entirely at the service department, especially manager Samantha, whose behavior was rude, aggressive, and anything but transparent.Just three weeks after getting my new car, I encountered a flat tire. When I sought help, the response was cold and dismissive, telling me the tire was beyond repair. Given the car's newness, I naively hoped for a gesture of goodwill, perhaps a courtesy tire replacement, but was met with a flat no. Out of options, I reached out to Subaru of America, who were incredibly understanding. Samantha then called offering to cover 50% of the tire replacement cost, but that was denied when i arrived for my appointment. I wish that theu keep a recording of their phone called to prove my point.Upon my arrival for the scheduled appointment, I was kept waiting for 20 minutes, only to be informed that the appointment was not for tire replacement but to inspect unrelated damagel which was caused dure to carelessly discarding the weehl and the tore seperatly in my trunk during my first visit after the fkat tore a complete shock to me. Attempts to contact Samantha yielded no response, leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued. It was only through Subaru of America's intervention that I finally received a call back from Samantha, who, to my dismay, denied all previous offers and hung up on me, leaving me speechless and upset.I genuinely wish there was a way to prove the sincerity and accuracy of my words. The level of disappointment and frustration I'm experiencing is profound, and I never imagined I'd find myself in such a disheartening situation over something that started as a simple tire issue. I am also not sure how i will have my 2024 Ascents seamlessly serviced in this place for the next 10 years.

These guys tried to tell me I had a blown gasket and that I needed to rebuild my motor. By the time I had left they had a $7,000 repair bill ready to go. The engine had never overheated and the only indicator they had that there was a serious problem with the motor was that a radiator hose was not holding pressure. The issue was that one of the radiator caps was old and needed to be replaced. A $15 fix. These people are scam artists and I would avoid taking my car there at all costs. This was over a year ago and my car has run fine since so I know there was no problem with the motor. Do not take your car here!

This place was great! It took about a week for an appointment but I had an extended warranty that needed taking care of, and they discovered a small recall I was unaware of that they also took care of.The waiting areas were clean, there were small but nice amenities, and there was a quiet space as well which I really enjoyed. The service to my car was great, and the only minor quibble I had was that they messed with the seat settings-though I'm sure it was required. The gentleman that helped me was incredibly friendly, courteous, and personable, as well as extremely professional.Overall, even though it's not the closest service center to me, I will be returning.

I am once again disappointed with the maintenance service at Subaru of Puyallup. Each visit entails an extended wait for check-in, despite having an appointment and arriving early. Furthermore, I've experienced overcharging due to technician/mechanic mishaps. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach the customer service manager, Samantha. Whether she is unavailable or has left for the day, my calls and voicemails at different times have gone unanswered. I am still waiting for her to return my call after missing her the first time. Regrettably, I have decided not to continue my business with this Subaru location, as it has proven to be the most disappointing and unsatisfactory experience among all the Subaru service centers I have visited.

Took my Forester in for a service a couple months ago and now the Engine Oil level light went on. I checked and the oil was below LOW level on the stick. They explained to me since my vehicle is old, it burned more oil than usual. It was 7 years old and according to the note, I still have another 1500 miles before the next oil change. Plus during last service, I thought they used full synthetic oil which supposed to last longer.I used this dealership about 4 times or so and 3 out of 4 has huge problem. The second time I found a whole new pair of wiper under the hood, the one they are supposed to change. To be honest, I dyk ow if these guy actually perform any services they claimed they did such as oil change, filter change etc...

Second time coming in for service and both time they have either been busy or by appointment only. Both times they have been able to take me in and be able to do an oil change. They have also treated my with respect and talked to me at a level that is understandable for my vehicle. Has the best waiting area ever, the person helping you brings you to it and also let's you know there is snacks and coffee, tea, and water available. Also, the place is very dog friendly! My dog has now started to know where she is at and loves coming to Subaru of Puyallup!Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Peter Dela Cruz is great to work with. He has always helped me resolve all service issues with no hassle. When I needed a new car he helped me through the transition so that I could process a trade in and get into a new Forester. Thanks Peter!

I purchased my car from Subaru of Puyallup earlier this year and had an amazing experience. In fact, I recommend the dealership itself to everyone I know. I ve taken my car in for oil changes since getting it and the experience up until recently has been fine. The week of November 28 I contacted the service department regarding a chip in my windshield which is able to be repaired under a 1 year warranty that came with my car. The woman who answered the phone put me on hold after I explained what I was needing to do and when she returned, she informed me that I needed to schedule an appointment to have my windshield inspected. This seemed odd to me but I figured it would help me get the issue resolved. The earliest available that aligned with my schedule was Friday, December 2 at 3:45. I left work early to drive to get there and it took me 45 minutes. Once I arrived and was greeted to check in at my car the person seemed confused as to why I was there because she stated they don t do windshield repairs there. I was confused. But showed her where the chips were and explained to her what happened and how I ended up with an appointment based off what the original person told me I needed to do. The person checking me in said she d look into it for me and went inside, only for her to come back a few minutes later to tell me there wasn t anything she could do because they don t do any type of windshield repair there. They use an outside vendor to get it done but good news is they are right down the road. I want to reiterate that I drove 45 minutes to get to this appointment that I didn t need in the first place and my time was completely wasted. Only to be told that I needed to go right down the road which in reality was another 20 minute drive. I did not feel that the level of service provided matched my experience with the actual dealership and I am honestly incredibly disappointed. I submitted a request online explaining this situation and asking for my feedback to be sent over to the service manager and never heard any confirmation back. If this were my business and my mistake I d probably be personally reaching out to apologize for the screw up versus just leaving it and letting my staff tell someone they just need to go right down the road and waste more of their time. Overall that s the reason for this two star rating. The staff knowledge was severely lacking which resulted in the unnecessary scheduling of an appointment at the wrong location and the customer service really was sub par this time around.Service: Auto windshield repair

Dishonest service team please read.Took my forester in for a oil change. Upon getting my car back I noticed a loud vibrating sound coming from the dashboard, and louder when the blower fan is on the highest setting. It occurred when the engine was off as well. Took out cabin air filter and found small leaf particles on it. My assumption is they were sloppy and did not shake out air filter when inspecting subsequently getting debris into my blower motor.Made an appointment for Subaru to inspect and repair. They came back to me and blamed it on a "bearing problem" of blower motor, which is extremely rare in a 5 year old car. I refused to pay the $500 and requested nicely to speak with manager. 1 hour later the rep comes and says no manager is available, so I leave. Upon using my car the vibrating noise is gone. It appears the mechanic cleaned the debris from the area and it improved but refused to be accountable for messing it up in the first place and lying about it by saying it is a bearing. I would not trust them with repairs and recommend getting a second opinion if possible. They appear to take advantage of people who do not know anything about cars.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is a 3 star rating instead of a 2 star rating because the service manager covered my bill after I shared with him my poor customer service experience.Summary: 1) mostly quality repairs; 2) upselling seems to be their default 3) dropped and ghosted calls.Been going here for four years and I have only questioned the quality of their repairs twice: when the oil plug wasn t tightened enough causing me to leak most of the oil change I just had done and when I asked for a second key fob to be programmed, only to find out the old one had been deactivated. In both cases, Subaru of Puyallup made it right. When the slightest indication of something going wrong, their answer is replace the whole thing . Most recent example is convincing me my brakes needed urgent replacement only to later get the inspection and find that by their own measures, the brake pads were only in the caution zone. They do not volunteer an estimate of how long something COULD last before repair. They just suggest repair.I have had multiple phone frustrations with Subaru of Puyallup. The latest I was told I would be placed on hold while they transferred my call, then the call immediately dropped. My calls have also been ghosted . My service advisor was not in when I called, so I asked to speak to someone else. I was told they were all busy but would call me back that evening. No call back. I call again the next morning and am told the service advisor is busy and will call me in 20 mins. No call back. In my mind professionalism is keeping your word. If you are too busy, just say that and tell me you will get back as soon as you can. Or better yet, actually have a system to communicate to your team that a customer is waiting for a call back and tell me my spot in the queue. This last time I was so frustrated, I had my car towed to another Subaru dealer. Like I said, the service manager comped my bill, so that earns a hesitant consideration to do business with them again.

It's pretty unacceptable that there is an hour and a half wait for a schedule oil change at 7am in the morning. My conversation with the service tech revealed, the dealer's system let's them overbook the appointment. It a huge inconvenience. Also; the dealer wants are business and to come back to buy cars, they should consider not irritating and inconveniencing the customers and let use get on with making the money they so desperately want.Service: Oil change

I came here for a oil consumption test after they have done a service on on the engine beacuse of oil but before the service i have not been getting the low oil warnings. I called ahead for i have a extended warranty . They said i come on Tuesday at 1800. Came on the shop ,then guy with a mullet came out and ask what i came for. Then the guy explain to me about it's normal for a subaru to burn oil. But i explained they did the service in my engine that started the low oil warnings . Then he stared to say about im out of warranty on my red subaru. But clearly its a white forester in front of him. Talk to the sales manager sonce then service manager, he said he will talk to service manager and will get back to me. Until now nobody called. Clearly no sense of customer service from top to bottom. You just lost a customer!

Terrible customer service! Took almost 2 months to get our car back and they kept making promises they couldn t keep and telling us they had parts in when they didn t. We didn t choose to take our car here, it just happen to breakdown near there. Thankfully we won t have to go back. If you have the choice I would take your car elsewhere. If anything ask for Sam! She did a great job!Service: Transmission

Just purchased a new Crosstrek Sport from Andrew. His expertise, relaxed manner and candid advice made the process of ordering a new car a pleasant and confident experience. This is the 3rd Subaru purchased by members of our family in the last five years, the second from Subaru of Puyallup. When these wear out I fully expect to buy more from them...it may be a couple of decades though

I will never go back- Andrew the Expert Technician improperly identified a working starter. 2 days ago, I took my Subaru in for a full diagnosis because it died mid-drive. Andrew the expert technician looked at it, he called me and told me that the starter died and that he couldn t run codes on it to make a diagnosis. He quoted me $900 for the diagnosis and replacing the starter. He stated that changing the starter was just to get the car to start so they could find the actual issue. I told him I would tow it back in the meantime. We got to the dealership and he said me that I needed to pay for the diagnosis, even though the diagnosis was that my car didn t start. We tried to understand why we had to pay for a full diagnosis when one was not accomplished. After he explained that it took labor to determine my car wouldn t start, he told me to just take my car, leave, and not come back. I took my car to a different mechanic who said the starter is fine and codes can be diagnosed without the car working. He was able to diagnose my car in a few hours. A STARTER WAS NEVER NECESSARY. The services department at Subaru of Puyallup is dishonest and will take your money unless you put up a fight. So sad to see this local business treat people like this. Be prepared to second guess the diagnosis they give your vehicle.

I took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and recall repair on 07/05. They told me my rear brake pads need replaced as they only have 2mm left on the pad. They wanted to charge $350 per axle to do the work so I declined as that price is well above what other places charge. I found someone to do the work and it turns out that when Subaru of Puyallup put my tires back on, they either cross threaded the lug or they over tightened it and stretched the threads. Either way, the stud sheared off due to the negligence of the service tech at Subaru of Puyallup. Once the tire was finally off, I find out that the rear brake pads have at least twice the pad left (over 4mm) than what the service department quoted. They did damage to my car that could have been a major safety issue and lied to me about the condition of my brake pads. I will not be back here.

Overpromised and under delivered is the best way to describe the experience in this service dept. Taking my two Subaru's elsewhere from now on.

I've purchased two Subarus from this dealership and my Kia Sedona from their Chevy/GMC/Buick dealership. I purchased my two Subarus from George. George is committed to making sure you have the best Subaru purchasing experience. He bookmarked my entire driver's manual and set up all of the personal features in both of my Subarus. I highly recommend George and Subaru of Puyallup if you're in the market for a Subaru. Amber in the service department was great to work with too. I receive service coupons and the complimentary car wash is always a highlight. Thank you for treating your customers right!

I came to the Subaru lot to look for a car that I was going to buy for the first time. Pablo Medina saw me and my family looking around and asked questions like what my price range was, what type of car I'm looking for, etc. I know basically nothing about cars, so I'm the perfect target for being scammed into a bad deal. You always hear about car salesman scamming you for their paycheck. That was the complete opposite experience that I had at Subaru of Puyallup! Pablo showed me many cars and let me test drive a few. There were a couple instances where I'd show interest in a more expensive car and Pablo was very honest about what type of maintenence is required for this, and why this and this wouldn't be a great option for what I'm looking for and advised me against it. That's when I knew that I could trust him! He ended up showing me a 2012 VW Jetta TDI Sportswagen with 26K miles on it and in my price range. The car is absolutely perfect. Pablo worked with me on negotiating the price and was extremely honest with me. Very polite and professional. When I came to pick up my plates he even put them on for me. I would recommend him to anybody; in fact, my mom is looking to buy a new car sometime this year and she will be going to Pablo to buy one! Thanks again Pablo!

I m just so tired of taking our 2013 Forrester to the dealer for service. I ve tried all of them in the area, and while Puyallup is the least pushy and scammy, I just don t trust that they are looking out for customers rather than their own bottom line.Service is always fine, but it s expensive and they pressure you to get more done than you ever planned.

I went to pick up some pre-mixed coolant for my Forester at the service department, and the price was $6 cheaper than anywhere that I found. Great customer service. Highly recommended this place.
