Meineke was a great experience. Booked my appt online and they took my car quickly for brake inspection. Needed new rotors and they quickly assessed my whole vehicle and gave me an estimate. Got brakes done. I was very happy with everyone there, very courteous and they changed my oil as well. Will definitely be going back for more needed repairs. Thank u Meineke!

I dropped my truck off for oil change and tire rotation, but when I came to pick the truck up I was informed that my truck is to long and tire rotation wasn t completed which was desalinating. However the people here went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the visit and performed other services AND didn t charge me for the oil change and the other things they have done . Great people, definitely will go back

Please be VERY careful before deciding to use this location, or frankly any of this franchisee's locations.In August of 2022 we had a brake job preformed at this location. I had a bad feeling after having to return the vehicle to this shop four times immediately after the repairs. The brakes were very mushy and the emergency brake wouldn't work even on a very slight hill. Another time after a short 10 mile drive the rear wheels were smoking, the brakes smelled hot and the temp of the wheel hub was 186 degrees.In December of 2022 we lent the vehicle to our grandkids visiting from London. On December 16th as they were returning from a hike near North Bend the passenger side front tire was making a noise. Thanks to my granddaughter they pulled off Highway 18 Auburn exit and within 20 feet of the exit the tire came off. Had they stayed on the highway at 60 miles an hour who knows what might have happened to the members of our family, Daughter, her husband, Granddaughter and her husband and our 6 month old Great Granddaughter, and any other people in vehicles near them.We immediately called the Meineke location and spoke with a person that identified himself as the manager. He said he was filling in from another location up North as the entire crew, including the manager had been fired. He promised to let management know of the accident. We had the vehicle towed to the dealership in Puyallup to be looked at and have a bid completed. I hand delivered the bid to the Meineke location and was again promised a call from management. After following up 3 more times, I found Meineke headquarters and opened a ticket with them. I had to follow up with the headquarters 2 times before finally getting a call from a person that worked for the franchisee. We hear sporadically from this person, then another person that said they took over the area from the first person. Everyone kept promising that they were working on our claim. Overall communication from the Meineke franchisee was horrid, and they never apologized for their shoddy work. All we asked for was to bring the vehicle back to the condition it was in when we took it to Meineke for service. We finally heard from an insurance adjuster in April 2022.I had to provide all of the same information about the necessary work, invoices, pictures again. The insurance company finally offered us a settlement of $4709.73 on a total cost to us of repairs of $8120.00.I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this ordeal, so my advice is to avoid this Meineke location and franchisee! If you are looking for a good quality non dealership mechanic try Goods Automotive in Puyallup, they are very professional and do quality work, some of which we experienced because of Meineke's horrible work.Service: Brakes

I think the overall service was pretty good, but there are some repair of services that unfortunately appear to be shockingly high especially with spark plug replacements or cabin air filter change. It does appear that they perform the services in a reasonable amount of time.

All of the guys were super friendly, and understanding of finances. The system they use to send the inspection report and estimate directly to my phone was truly amazing I will continue to use them in the future !

Staff was respectful and helpful. They diagnosed problem with transmission and gave me a quote. It required transmission replacement, and for the age of vehicle, through no fault of theirs, it was not worth the investment. They didn t charge me for the diagnosis and estimate. Which was appreciated. They recently replace my catalytic converter, and I was pleased with that experience as well.Services: Transmission, Auto exhaust system repair

Really great set of workers they have. Great with communication and they literally didn't charge me for a single thing they did! When I was bad oil leak and came out with perfectly good car. Definitely recommend

This was a bad experience. I took the car in at 8:00 AM for what should have been a few hours. The work that I scheduled was pre approved by Element. You one of the preferred vendors. The crew took it upon their selves to look at additional work and ask for approval. This tied up my car for getting any work done. No approval 4 hours later. I had other things to do, so I asked to have my car back. If they would have done the requested and noted the additional discoveries, it would have been more successful. So now the pre approved work is still not done, and I lost 3+ hours of my day, a week before Christmas.

I had my 2002 ford taurus in for a coolant and overheating issue.i drove it home after service but unfortunately the problem arose again the following day.i haven't had the chance to drive it again because obviously the outcome the shop had after diagnosis,was probably part of other cooling issues. I've always had good service from Meineke,but at this juncture, they failed me.still my favorite shop though. Regards Hennings Kondowe

Even Though they could not work on my Car but the Service in this location is amazing. Friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable and honest. This location will not give you bogus claims that something is wrong with the car. thank you

Oneal took care of me the day after Thanksgiving. I thought I was looking at a possible head gasket issue that would have costs thousands. The manager Oneal and the South Hill team purged my lines and didn t charge me for the easy fix. This shop is great for business and I will be back!!!

My wife and I recently moved into Puyallup. Finding a good mechanic was on our to do list. Just happened to drive by Meineke. I left my car with them for a service check. They did a great job. The thing that really impressed me was how they kept me in touch by texting the progress of the job. I ll be back for additional service.

I bought my 2015 Dodge Charger in due to coolant issues. I worked with Oneal, the store manager. He was very kind and took care of me today. I thought I was dealing with a blown head gasket issue that would have cost me thousands. I received a diagnostic test and found the problem was as simple as removing the air from my lines. Thank you so much Oneal and South Hill Mineke team!!! I am feeling very blessed and grateful for the experience with this shop.

They were so awesome. 9 months ago I paid for a tune up at another place. Well that tune up was not done right so I needed a tune up plus engine leaks fix. They tried to get the other place to back up their work and they did not. My car is running great. They helped me get financing and even came and picked me up when my car was ready! I highly recommend South Hill Meineke! Tell them Vickie sent you.

Got a college grant of 4600 dollars to pay for all repairs of my car based on what the Meineke wrote up as an estimate. All they did as far as work on the car is change oil and flush fluid, 5 new tires. When we asked about the Check engine light they said they just reset it instead of fixing the problem. When we left our car ran much worse than when we brought it in. I look over the paper work to see what they did and how they are charging. They claimed 23 hours of labor but they only had the car for 6 hours. I know this because I waited it. The only reason went to here in the first place was we had breaks done and they messsed those up so they told us to come back because they hired all new employees and fired everyone that worked on our car. Whelk that only led us to get screwed over with our one time grant of 4600 dollars. Now they are refusing to give a number to contact the franchise owner. That is illegal. Also want to add that my brother went through the exact same thing experience with them 2 years ago at the Seattle location. He paid 2500 to get the car fixed, it ran worse then before and then they stated oh we fired everyone that worked on your car so bring it back. And then charged an addition 1000 dollars. They are simply in the business of collecting money. I don t think they know how to do anything passed oil changes and and changing tires. O Neal is the manager of this location and he has th very understanding demeanor but it s all just an act to try to get your car back in to do more damage and collect more money. I had to go to Buckys across the street to get the 45 min job done that they said they tried to charge me additional money for after already paying $ 4600

Horrible service man I tell you... I dropped my car off on a Monday at 10:00 in the morning and it's set for 2 days all the way till Wednesday till I finally went up there and had them look at my car only to find out it was a simple battery problem so I missed 3 days of work all because they refused to even look at my vehicle when I dropped it off. Needless to say I won't be going back to this place ever again I will find somewhere else to get my car serviced

1997 Lexus LX450 brake booster and master cylinder went bad while driving. I Googled brakes puyallup called this business on Meridian. They made room for my car, located those hard to find 26yrs old parts NEW, I left the car over night, they called me the next morning. In well under 24hrs they had my vehicle finished and I was on my way to work in Federal Way. Ask them about it. It s a true story!Services: Auto brake repair, Auto brake replacement

We had them replace Ball joints,and suspension, and alignment, and after their work, MY CAR FELL APART WHILE DRIVING HOME.EVERYTHING THEY DID FELL APART AND DAMAGED MY CAR. They offered no refund, the MANAGER WOULD NOT , give us the District Manager information. One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a auto shop. The person in charge was rude and had no intentions of working with me. The way he spoke to me was very condescending. I've never been treated so horribly. I will never go here to get my car worked on again. Be smart and don't waste your money here. Go somewhere that actually cares about you and your cars needs. I would give a negative star rating if I could.

great customer service. I will take my car back at this location. Another tire company said I need rotors and brakes replaced costing me over $1,400.00. I thought something isn't right! I had Meineke check and no the brakes were all fine. A long plastic piece was dangling in front of my tire and that was the noise I heard. They cut the piece off, put some bolts to hold the plastic down and sent me on my way. No charge! I am delighted with their honesty and will let my friends know how wonderful the employees and service was.

Went in for check engine light, and flat tire repair, ended up needing some engine repairs.Service advisor at shop was very friendly and professional, and transparency in service with text diagnostic was a cool feature. Engine seems to be running good.However, the multi-point inspection/safety check was not very through. When I received my car back 3-days after leaving for repairs, flat tire was not fixed, and I noticed that tail light was not working, and windshield wiper fluid was still empty. These items were marked off as good /not needing attention on multi-point inspection, and service advisor was not able to make needed repairs at pick-up when noticing issues.Additionally the final cost of the repairs was $1000 over what I was quoted on the phone when approving the repairs. I was also told that to replace a dead bulb in my taillight I would need to order a whole new taillight fixture for $200+ (which I did not do), and when looking online later I found it is easily opened to replace the bulb with no need to order a new fixture.

Booked online and got a conformation email for booked appointment time for 5/26 Sunday @ 1200pm. Took a day off work and missed pay to get my AC fixed. Showed up ontime for appointment and the shop is closed. Really?? So called them on tuesday morning since Monday was a holiday and spoke to the lady that answers the phone ( did not get her name). Only to be told it's not their stores fault as the website is managed by corporate. That may be true but wouldn't you make sure that your store hours are correct on your company website and that way your future customers aren't being mislead to false operating hours plus it's your Brand.Anyways she basically told me she will speak with her district manager about it and beyond that she wouldnt offer me anything for this big inconvenience. I called their corporate phone number and they are suppose to get back to me. So I will update this review if or when I hear back from them. Pending.. so far not impressed.

I don't think I've ever made an appointment with a shop and been so disappointed. Showed up 15 minutes before my appointment and although the "open" sign was lit and it was more than 2 hours since it was supposed to open, the doors were still locked and there was absolutely no one around. Even called their phone number a few times with no response. Finally, after being there for 35 minutes and saw 3 customers showed up and left, an employee arrived. Told him about my appointment and he said he'll find out what the situation is. Came back 13 minutes later just to tell me that they can't work on my vehicle because my transmission doesn't have a dipstick so they'll have to order one and who knows how long that would take or if it will be the correct one. My question is, why set an appointment if you knew this? Or, if you didn't know this than that just made it worst. I understand anyone can have a bad day, case in point, but an entire crew not being there? It's too bad because this place was one of the few in the Costco auto service program that is close to where I live. Don't waste your time like I did. Basically, was told they couldn't or wouldn't work on my vehicle, so I left. What a joke.Service: General repairs & maintenance
