Jerry s was the only shop in the entire local area that was willing to service my Fiat s busted hub assembly, and Wade got it done in less than a week. I was two hours late from entirely preventable circumstances (morning alarm didn t go off), and I was still given my appointment slot with no late fee. The receptionist(s) and company driver were all polite and very easy to talk to, the latter of which gave me rides to and from the shop (also free!) Fiat drivers of the Palouse, and other folks with uncommon imports, please give your money to these people. You will not be disappointed.

first, let me start off by saying I m not from Pullman. I m from out of state (SC) and I needed a mechanic for my power steering before I drove back across to South Carolina. unsure what the problem might be, I was recommended to Jerry s. I was a bit hesitant to see someone other than my normal mechanic back in South Carolina. But much to my surprise Jerry s Auto Repair was exceptional. They treated me with respect, courtesy, and explained things fully to me, and were extremely reasonable in their price. and their turnaround was less than 24 hours. I m sure I ll be back in Pullman for years to come, beyond the doubt, any car repairs I need done, will be done at Jerry s. Thank you for such outstanding service, and for such friendly and courteous staff.

I called. They said that they would be able to work on my vehicle., so I called a tow truck and paid the tow truck driver 245.00 over the phone. Called Jerry's back to let them know that it's on the way to them and then was told that they don't work on "work vehicles" and this is after the tow truck driver already hooked it. They knew in advance it was a work vehicle. If you have a business and you have work vehicles find someone else cause according to Jerry's they don't or won't work on your work vehicles. On another note if you need a tow truck call AK towing. They really helped out a guy who is an 1 1/2 out of town and found us someone to work on our work vehicles.

Great job and value! Excellent customer service. Jerry s was able to get me in the next day after dropping in. I had my brakes tested for the second time (once a year prior) and instead of getting an estimate for all the expensive work that would need done, I was again informed my brakes looked good to go The woman-be-warned cliches about mechanics don t appear to apply here. Also they were able to detect and repair the problem with my AC that had been fixed just weeks earlier at another place that shall remain nameless. All that and a complimentary shuttle. Highly recommend this shop!Services: Auto A/C recharge, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Vehicle safety inspection

Good customer service is hard to find these days, but not at Jerry's. Adam and his crew were amazing. They took such good care of me and my car I highly recommend this shop.

I ve had a few problems with Jerry s in the past but today was the final nail in the coffin. My husband and I were in Jerry s today to get our oil changed and we decided to wait around a little bit for it. The man who helped us (Ethan) was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. As we sat and waited, we overheard conversations between Ethan and another person who works there (Michelle) that were absolutely disgusting and appalling. On multiple occasions and across multiple conversations, she was straight yelling at him and belittling him when he had a question for her. She would also sigh loudly like she was annoyed every 30 seconds. This kind of treatment is not acceptable in a workplace, especially in front of customers. Both my husband and I were absolutely shocked and it appeared as Ethan was flustered/angry/upset. I hope someone sees this is unacceptable and puts her in her place. Needless to say, we will be going somewhere else from now on.

So I had the privilege of using Jerry's Auto Repair back in late January 2022. Finally getting around to write about my time with them and why I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as of now.I purchased a 2007 Volvo XC90 from a couple local to the Pullman area. The car had been serviced by the team at Jerry's its previous 5 years (since 2015), and I bought it knowing the car needed new brakes in the rear and it's valve cover gaskets done (older V8 leaking, of course). I also wanted to get the transmission flushed as it had never been done according to the previous owners, and these trans can be a bit picky on occasion. I also had a concern for the serpentine belt as there was some noise coming from engine on that area during cold starts and general driving.I decided to use Jerry's for all the aforementioned repairs since, to my knowledge, they had worked on that vehicle for 5+ years, the quotes for repairs were all within reason, and should have a good feeling about it. I was from Spokane so this wasn't exactly an easy endeavor, but wanted to trust the team there.I realize now that I might've been wrong for thinking that. The repairs took approx. 8 days from the time I dropped the car off. I was quoted at roughly 1-2 days, which was fine and expected since the VCG job is a long one. In a normal circumstance, I could accept this, but the communication wasn't great; I'd wait all day until receiving a phone call near the close of business that the car was still being worked on. Several times I called in, and on two occasions the employee told me that they didn't really know what was taking so long. I would've appreciated a better outlook than that.So time and communication I knock stars off for.The next knock for stars is general repairs.I specifically asked for the serpentine belt to be looked at, and taken care of, if it needed it. I'm not a mechanic but the sound was pretty loud and using a "mechanic's stethoscope" revealed some very noisy things in there. According to them, they found nothing wrong, yet the very next week I took it to my normal mechanic and they could easily hear, and then diagnose, that problem. Jerry's had performed a serpentine belt repair on the car previously, so also assumed they would easily be able to take care of this.Moving on to the VCG. The repair was completed but just took way longer than anticipated. Also, from my understanding, when doing the VCG on these V8 Yamaha engines, one is to also repair the engine Timing Cover as well, as oil has most likely been leaking from the engine down into the TC. I expected this to get done with the repairs itself, but to my dismay after driving the car home I found the same issue at bay. Again, when I asked other shops about this they said the same thing: TC should've been corrected at the same time since everything would already be a part to work on. Even if this repair wasn't included in the price, any mechanic would've been able to easily spot the oil leaking from that area and diagnose it to bring to the customer's attention, especially if the engine was already opened up.As for the transmission flush, I had asked about what fluid the team would use for this, as I really wanted Mobil 3309 specifically used (and even mentioned that I would bring them my own fluid for the procedure). According to the repair invoice, that wasn't the case. My shifts have been rougher since they flushed it and, by happenstance or not, I now believe there is a slight "shudder" in between 2-3 gears when shifting. Most likely is a torque converter issue.Brakes seem to be fine and no complaints about that particular repair. All this said, the repair invoice was for $2100. For that, the rear brake job seems to be the only thing that was completed without an issue.Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with the service here, and can't recommend anyone use them in the future, even if you live in Pullman. I still have a car that needs the TC area fixed/cleaned up, potentially another transmission flush, and the serpentine belt replaced, and am out money.Services: Transmission, Engine repair, Brakes

I had my son's car towed to Jerry's and they immediately responded -- within two hours I had an estimate. Extensive repairs were completed just 2 days later. Very friendly, expedient service with great communication along the way. I was very happy with the service at Jerry's and would definitely recommend them.

9 hours from home and my Honda Civic broke down in Pullman. Didn't know any good shops in the area so I had it towed to Jerry's. They said that the engine that I knew has had no problems and has been taken care over the years on my Honda had failed. Quoted that it would be over $5,200 to fix. They said that one of the cylinders had low compression, and that there was very little oil on the dipstick. I had checked the oil pretty recently, and it had shown no signs of leaking or burning oil at any point so this was also very surprising. We wanted a second opinion, but rather than spending another $300 on towing it, my dad drove up and towed it back home with me. The shop we usually go to in town immediately got it running the next morning and diagnosed it as a seized AC Compressor, they cut the belt connecting it to the crankshaft and it started right up no problem on its own. A few days later and it is completely fixed and running like new for only $900 including labor, rather than $5,200. That is a huge thing to miss when the cost between what I was quoted and the cost of the actual fix is $4,300.So I guess my review comes to a few different possible conclusions. There was nothing from the other shop that suggested there was any compression problem. So, either the technician troubleshooting my car was incompetent, or they lied, thinking they could trick me into paying for something I didn't need done because I'm young and a long ways from home and a bit desperate. Regardless of what may have happened, I was not impressed with the work done, and it makes me wonder if they have tried/succeeded to do this with other customers before as well. All I know is I would never be back to this shop.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I made an appointment and was able to get my car in very soon after my arrival. They got right to work on it so I was able to wait. Total time was about an hour. They discovered a problem, quickly fixed it and did not up-charge me for a replacement part. The office staff was friendly and accommodating. I was impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency of the business. I will be returning to do business with them again.Service: Auto A/C recharge

If you like having your replacement parts marked up 30% then this is the place for you.Edit: Weird of you to post details about me from your records but what the hey. Yeah I got something minor done there long ago. When I got the bill and asked why the parts cost was significantly higher than that the part would have been from the nearby NAPA. The reply was if we didn t upcharge for parts we couldn t stay in business .

Everyone was so pleasant to work with here at Jerry's. Per AAA's suggestion, I got my car towed here for a belt issue that turned out to be more serioius. The team was able to squeeze in my repair in one day, and though the cost put me out a bit, I'm so glad it was done quickly. All around great service!

We had a minor emergency last weekend traveling into Pullman and frantically needed an auto repair shop. I called Jerry s en route. The phone was quickly answered and soon I was talking to Jerry. He was so helpful and talked me through a few suggestions to fix the issue. Even though his schedule was full he told me to stop by when we arrived and he would continue trouble shooting. We were able to fix the issue and didn t need to stop at the shop but if I ever need auto service in Pullman this is absolutely the place I will go. Kind, considerate, knowledgeable. Thank you Jerry!!!

Jerry s Auto completed safety inspections and found several issues that we were unaware of in the vehicles our college kids drive. We were given a prioritized list to work from with our budget. They also discovered an issue with a previous repair that we are able to fix under warranty. We are very happy with the repairs and customer service!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Went in not knowing what was wrong with my car (as the previous place I went to assured me it wasn t related to my breaks) and just a couple of hours after dropping off my car I was told exactly what was wrong with it and what I had been hearing. They were able to fix it for me by the next afternoon and I finally don t hear the squeaking sound I ve heard for about the past year. Amazing experience and customer service!Services: Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection

My daughter goes to WSU and had her vehicle break down and I don't know any mechanics in Pulman. AAA recommended Jerry's and we couldn't be happier with the service we received! They were very professional with their estimate and phone follow up with a protective Papa Bear of a dad. Thank you for taking care of my out-of-town daughter. I highly recommend Jerry's to anyone and everyone in the Pulman area and especially to WSU parents. Go Cougs!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Shopped around town to get my A/C compressor fixed in my 2008 Honda CRV. Jerrys had a really great website where they got me a quote in under 24-hours and then scheduled me an appointment a few days later. The compressor needed to be ordered so I was expecting my car to be held overnight, however after dropping it off at 7:30AM my car was ready to go by noon with my A/C feeling cooler than ever. In addition, this service was done at a way more competitive price than other auto shops around town. Finally, they seem really up to date with technology. I got a text message with a multi-point vehicle inspection with items in the future that I might need to repair. Overall great experience, I would go back for any car needs I might have!Service: A/C installation & repair

Jerry and his team performed a diagnostic and repair on my Tacoma. They were communicative and prompt with their work. They provide a link to show all the issues found in addition to the specific issue which I brought the truck in to have fixed. I'm not accustomed to a $98 charge for diagnosis, so be prepared for that. Jerry was great about discussing the severity of the issues so I could focus on the most critical parts. In the end they replaced the catalytic converter and up stream and down stream. The converter was a little over $400, which seems above average, but not abnormal. It would be nice to understand the brand/source of the parts they use. Overall, I was very happy with the service provided. They even finished 3 days faster than expected. I'll be back for those other issued Jerry pointed out.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance

I dropped a grandson off at WSU and had to have AAA tow my vehicle after it threw a belt. AAA suggested Jerry s Auto Repair. My car was towed after hours and first thing the next morning, Michelle sent me a text saying they needed to start with a diagnostic test and asked my permission to proceed. A little while later, Michelle sent me a detailed report on what the diagnostic revealed, outlined the repair cost and asked if I d like to proceed. I agreed and about an hour & a half, Michelle called and said my car was ready. I can t begin to tell you how pleased I was with Jerry s customer service. We were back on the road in no time.

I have a 95 Nissan D21 pickup that needed a major tune up. Jerry and his team of technicians fixed or replaced all the parts that I wanted updated. The transmission leak was fixed, my bad timing belt was switched out, I got new spark plugs and spark plug wires, and the A/C is finally in working condition. I bought a starter motor and asked them to install it for me, and they had no problem with that. I've gone to other places where they would not consider switching out parts if I brought it in myself. The starter that I brought in was up to OEM standards or better, so they kindly replaced my starter without fret. Before Jerry and his team begin the work, they always give me an estimate of parts and labor costs and the final price is always similar to the estimate. The price is a little steep, but I think it is worth it because of the technician's knowledge/experience and I got the truck back the next day or two and it worked better than ever. I've visited cheaper auto mechanic places before, but their work was not as good as Jerry and his team; I guess you get what you pay for. Also the service desk was kind and understanding towards me, they were not pushy or condescending like other places I've gone to. 5/5, I recommend this place, and I plan to come back again eventually.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning
